Guisados Ventures Further West With Expansion Into Beverly Hills - Eater LA

"Guisados is planning a new location slightly south of Wilshire at 120 South Linden Drive in Beverly Hills. The new spot will bump Guisados’s count to seven with the original Boyle Heights location, Echo Park, Downtown, West Hollywood, Burbank, and Koreatown. Owner Armando de la Torre and son Armando Jr. took over Cool Basil Thai Bistro after it closed in 2016. When open, Guisados will assist a section of town that could use a solid taco stop." - Mona Holmes

Stopped here because I needed something to hold me over on my 40min ride home. Quick service. I contemplated what I wanted, ordered, got my food, and ate in less than 20mins. Tacos are like $4.50 each and really tasty. The shrimp was my fave. I’d order that and the chicharron again. I didn’t like the steak picado but I don’t think it was bad. I think I just don’t like the flavor profile of that dish and probably wouldn’t like it no matter where I got it. If I’m in Beverly Hills, I’d definitely come back here.

Google
Loved it. Amazing tacos. Iv rated at Guisados downtown Los Angeles. I was in the area and tried this one. Still great. I feel the Chili's Toreados was not as spicy or filled fully as in downtown, but equally as flavorful. In addition I had pesdaco, chili relleno, and tamali queso with added habanero sauce. Great place. Home made corn tortillas. They have relaxing outdoor seating to eat. Quality 10/10. Portion 10/10. Price 10/10. Flavorful/satisfying 10/10. Chili's Toreados is my favorite because i love spicy.. hence added habanero sauce. All tacos inhave tried are amazing. I highly recommend Guisados.

Google
Loved this place. Tacos were some of the best we've had. Super flavor, homemade tortillas, decent prices. The tamale was light and delicious, too. Be aware, that their spicy is super spicy. Parking lot is expensive but there are a few metered parking spaces on the street. Everyone working there were super nice. Would definitely go again.

Google
This is my new favorite spot in Beverly Hills. Guisados has many different varieties of tacos. Especially a wide vegan selection. One of the tacos I had was mushroom and cilantro! I never had that before. I enjoyed seeing a daily special that changes. They had fresh caught fish they made into ceviche when I came. Prices are reasonable being in the location it is. If you’re around definitely stop by and grab a taco and dine in or take it to go.

Google
The staff and food were fantastic! Highly recommend parking on the street with the meters. Also, the area to eat is outside. It's perfect for a quick meal and the staff couldn't be friendlier!

Google
Food is good, be warned the tortillas are probably 3-4 inches wide so you’re paying for the area you’re in really.. First few times service was good but the blonde girl had a stank attitude about forgetting my drink and didn’t say a single word to me throughout picking up my order (that was also ready too early when I scheduled it for a reason). Service can definitely be worked on @Management.

If you are in a neighborhood, definitely give them a visit. Amazing tacos, super nice staff, delicious tacos. Definitely a must try. We got both steaks and chorizo and it was DELICIOUS.

Google
Good food, great service, but limited parking. Its a reasonable price restaurant in Beverly Hills. The quality of the tacos were great. I liked that they offer a sampler so you can try a variety of 6 tacos. The sample tacos are small but it’s a great opportunity to see what you like and don’t like. I truly enjoyed the recommendation to mix the melon and limon juice together. Fresh and you can taste some of the pulp from fruit. It’s refreshing and not too sweet. When are y’all coming to the east coast?

Yelp
Tamale Tamale Tamale. Get all the sauces. Ask for the sour cream. Sit there and enjoy it fresh. Super moist and delicious. This has to be one of the best tamales I've had. Highly recommend trying this place for the Tamale. I saw the employee put her tamale into a baguette.... I ASKED WHY SHE DIDNT TELL ME I COULD DO THAT. Ask for a baguette too... stuff it with your tamale, dump your sauce on top, enjoy. You're welcome.

Yelp
I love the variety and assortment of interesting tacos at Guisados. Cochinita pibil: 5/5. Excellent, juicy pork that was very flavorful, but the best part had to be the pickled onion on top. I got 3 spice and it wasn't bad. Next time I'll get more of this one. Chuleta en chili verde: 4/5. A solid chile verde taco. I felt the chile flavor got a little lost in with the beans, but I'd rather have the beans than not. Still enjoyed it a lot. Papas con chorizo: 4/5. Another great taco. The chorizo brings a lot of flavor and I really enjoy the potato. I wish there was a little salsa though to add sole moisture. Horchata: 5/5. A flavorful horchata that's very milky. It may have just been my batch but I do prefer an horchata that's more milky than watery, and thus scratched that itch. We parked in the adjacent neighborhood and saved some $. The staff was friendly and helped us navigate the menu. Seating is all outdoor but it was very clean and covered, with a good amount of spots available.

Yelp
Great quality food, served by great quality people. The carnitas special today was so unbelievably good!! I will never forget that taco love you guisados!!!

Yelp
Sooooo delicious!!! Loved the tacos and aguas frescas. The staff was so nice, I always took it to go and it never disappointed. I wish I ate there but it's outside seating and too cold for me. Otherwise I'm sure it would have been the best!

Yelp
A short walk from the Beverly Hilton is this Oasis of Mexican comfort food! Tasty items: Puerco tamale with egg, Steak Picado and Fish tacos. Since the portion sizes were very small we added a breakfast burrito and it was good but tiny.

Yelp
Guisados is a must-try spot in Los Angeles. The BH location has outdoor seating next to parking lot with no public restroom. There's 2 hour free public parking a few blocks away on 461 N. Bedford Drive. For the food: Guisados specializes in slow-braised meats on fresh handmade tortillas. The sampler plate is a great way to try their menu. Add an Tamale and Armando Palmero to complete the meal. My preference: - Steak Picado - Mole Poblano - Chorizo - Frijoles con Queso - Armando Palmero

Yelp
Food is amazing. Tacos, beans and tamales are delicious. Customer service is great! I went to the new location in Venice, CA!

Yelp
I stopped in on a late Thursday afternoon after finding this place on Yelp, of course. I was in the mood for tacos and was surprised that there was a place right in Beverly Hills so I decided to stop in. It's right off of Wilshire behind a brick building kind of in an alley you would miss it if you were driving by. You do have to pay to park in the lot right next to it and pay whatever the rates are based upon the time of day that you're there. I got lucky but I still had to pay five bucks but I guess it's because I came late in the day that I got a deal. The restaurant is a little building with a covered patio area outdoors you order at the window and take a seat. The tortillas are made from scratch so it takes a few minutes to prepare your order. I went with three different types of tacos (see my photos), a quesadilla and two jalapeño and queso tamales to go. The tacos were good, not great, but good flavor. I just wasn't the fan of the style of filling. The quesadilla was a tortilla with a slice of some kind of cheese inside. That does not melt kind of reminded me of Greek cheese, but I'm sure it's Mexican cheese of some sort. They have great ratings and I just think that the style of tacos just didn't appeal to me. For dinner, I tried one of the tamales. The masa was a little bit drier and less firm that I'm used to, and it contained what seemed like a marinated cheese that was not soft and tiny bit of jalapeño. It was flavorful, but not the best I've had. I had to drink it in salsa Verde, to give it some more flavor. I'm glad I stopped in. The service was good and friendly. It was worth a try. But it didn't appeal to my tastes personally.

Yelp
I was craving for tamales hard yesterday, but I live in the west side and our options are limited on this side of town, so I checked the reviews for Guisados. I've been to Guisados multiple times, but my go to is the taco sampler which I love,I've never tried the tamales before and they are amazing! They taste exactly like the ones my parents get in Mexico City, the chicken verde is the best but I loved them all. The staff super cordial and friendly, 5 stars to Guisados! This location is literally 3 mins away from me! Cheers Guisados!

Yelp
This restaurant was a treasure my friends and I just happened to stumble upon. When we walked up to the window to order, the man working came out and explained some of the menu options/his recommendations since it was our first time there. We had a big party, but they were glad to take our order and everyone's food came out correct. It is very cool that you can see them making the tortillas as you order your food! It did not take long for our food to come out and it was amazing!! Probably the best tacos I've ever had and insanely affordable. I also got the cantaloupe agua fresca which may be the best drink I've ever had. The outdoor ambiance is great and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.

Yelp
July 2023/Beverly Hills: My friend 1st introduced me to Guisados two years ago & I've been excited about the tacos ever since! I've also been to several of their locations! When I told him I was in Beverly Hills for an event today, he mentioned Guisados was nearby, which was walking distance away! Oh yeah! Vegan Medley Taco: My absolute favorite! The veggies were seasoned & sautéed to perfection! I didn't want the experience to end, delicious with every single bite! Vegan Peppers Taco: Spicy, just how I like it! Peppers were bursting with flavor topped with avocado, yum! If you want to add a little spice to your life, then this is the taco to get! Jamaica: Refreshing, tasty & mouthwatering delicious! Customer Service! Incredibly friendly! Evelyn's smile was so welcoming! Thanks again, great energy all-around from everyone I interacted with! Overall: Guisados is always a great idea & writing about it right now is making me hungry all over again! Haha!

Yelp
Guisados is a great introduction to real Mexican tacos...just short of getting the real deal in Mexico. From the hand made tortillas to the different varieties of meat and seafood tacos, Guisados has something for everyone. If you don't know what to pick, try the sampler plate with smaller versions. From there you'll find your favorite the next time around. I am not a fan of thick tortillas, but then again, I am used to the store bought ones from Vons...these tortillas are clearly 1000 times better. At this location, you can see them make the tortillas before they are slapped on the grill. All the tacos have a great, authentic flavor. If you like spicy, get the toreado taco and just use the chili peppers and salsa on your other tacos...That's what I did! Ambiance 9/10 Cleanliness 9/10 Bathrooms N/A Food 8.5/10 Service 9/10 Value 8/10 Will I Return? Si

Yelp
Love the number of braised taco options. I got the taco sampler and the tacos were really small. The tamales were really good we got the Chile verde. Overall, I do prefer my Al pastor tacos so I might not come back. Defo highly recommend if you like the braised meats.

Yelp
I love guisados! I mostly go for their mole sauce the best I've had in LA. I usually get the sampler if I just want a bunch of different ones it's $12 and you get 6 street tacos. Most of their locations are really tiny huts it's decently priced with great flavors. The one in BH the staff is always very nice.

Yelp
I initially dined at Guisados DTLA location a few years ago and remember how much I loved the ceviche so when I found out they have other locations, I knew I had to try it again! Was browsing Rodeo Dr. and decided to grab some food so rather than dining at some overpriced restaurant, we chose Guisados for some delicious tacos! It was quite empty on a Saturday around 8 pm but it quickly filled up after us. Food + drinks 5/5 Tried tacos & ceviche tostada. Tacos: Camarones (shrimp), steak Picado, cochinita pibil, bistek roja, chuleta, and hongos (mushroom). Also got the horchata. Ceviche - fresh, delicious, juicy, tons of lime juice which is just how I like it! Tacos - Steak picado is my favorite Camarones is yummy but spicy Cochinita pibil - flavorful and juicy Chuleta - not my favorite Horchata - definitely on the sweet side but yummy with tons of cinnamon Service 5/5 The gentleman at the cashier explained the menu, spice levels, and let us know that 3-4 tacos is usually enough for one person. We each had 4 tacos. Ambiance + parking 4/5 There's decent amount of seating with heaters. You pay first and they bring the food to you. However, they don't have bathrooms which I think is an inconvenience since I prefer to wash my hands before and after eating tacos or any food.. They have a lot that costs $10 to park. I was able to find free street parking. Price 4/5 I think prices are comparable to other taco places. I do wish the tacos had more toppings but they're delicious on their own too! Spent about $40 for 8 tacos and a horchata. Overall 5/5 I'm so glad to have found this place again and excited to visit their other locations!

Yelp
The $5 ceviche tostada on Fridays always hits. The restaurant is open air with covered outside seating. Clean tables and great service. No public restroom.
google avatar

Gid K.

Yelp
Great little restaurant in the parking lot behind a medical building. The service is friendly & very fast. The tacos are about 3 bites each, and the price is right for the flavors & freshness. The grilled fish taco was light with a schmear of black beans. The mole poblano chicken was rich & smooth. The steak picado was very tender with mild heat. Nothing was dry or salty. The parking lot is $10 for the day, unless you're just picking up.
google avatar

Rebecca F.

Yelp
Husband and I went on Friday night around 9 PM. Good tacos, excellent service, comfortable and cute outside seating area. No bathroom. Prices fair giving the location in Beverly Hills. Probably stop by again if I'm in the area and want a quick bite.

Yelp
Fantastic service but this food is not for me. I felt sorry for the poor guy that cash register because I don't like peppers or onions or anything like that in my food and everything had it! Then when we finally landed on the quesadilla, it arrived, and I was so disappointed at the size. I think this restaurant is a cuisine that I just don't know anything about, because in my white world this is not a quesadilla. It did taste great to my surprise. But I still would never come back because I'd have to buy two of those just to feel somewhat full, and that would be $14 imposter for two tiny quesadillas. I have never in my life had a quesadilla the size of a street taco! Plus I'm not even sure there was any cheese in it . I just think they should call it something else This place is just too foreign to me and not enough food!
google avatar

Gabe B.

Yelp
I could make poor dad jokes and say, "Let's taco about how good this place is. Instead, I'll just taco about it. I tried 2 tacos de chile verde (costillas) , 1 chorizo, and 1 chicharron. Hands down, the chicharron was the best. Cool little spot , walked a bit to get here, but it was well worth it. Was hoping they had cerveza to wash it down, but a topo Chico did the trick. Service was quick and easy, walk up order and wait a few for your delicious tacos to arrive at your table.
google avatar

Phoebe O.

Yelp
My favorite taco chain of all time. The tortillas are just so delicious. I haven't tried the meat tacos, I'm just so stuck on the shrimp and fish... and the ceviche tostada is so refreshing. The aguas frescas are sugar laden deliciousness. The horchata plus cold brew is better than anything at Starbucks. For a couple years, I lived in SF, very close to the mission district. When I was there, I can't tell you how much I missed LA tacos... and the tortillas I missed the most? Guisados all the way.
google avatar

Yelp
If you love authentic Mexican braised meat tacos, then Guisados is a must visit. Armando De La Torre Sr. and his son Armando Jr. opened the original Boyle Heights location of Guisados in 2010. They now have several locations. The tacos at Guisados are bursting with a perfect balance of tanginess and smokiness. Their menu features a variety of mouthwatering braised meat tacos. The shredded chicken breast taco in a delicious nutty Poblano style Mole is definitely my favorite. Served with sour cream, queso fresco, red onion and dried chile. ¡Absolutamente delicioso! For lunch, I had the Queso panela, grilled quesadilla, served with a mild chipotle sour cream. Then I enjoyed a sumptuous Nopales 'a la plancha' taco with onions and tomatoes served on a bed of black beans and topped with chile arbol. All tacos are made with handmade corn tortillas. This place is an absolute delight for your taste buds. With 5 stars being best, the Beverly Hills Guisados location is presently rated 4.7 stars on Google. Here's why I believe Guisados deserves a five-star rating: Fresh and High-Quality Ingredients: One thing that instantly stands out is the freshness of the ingredients used in every dish. The tortillas are handmade, soft and warm, the meats are succulent and tender, and the toppings are crisp and flavorful. Each bite felt like a burst of authentic Mexican goodness. Great Value for Money: Considering the great taste and high quality of the food, the prices at Guisados are more than reasonable. And A Great Menu: Guisados has a great menu with vegetarian options. Satisfying every palate. The combination of mouthwatering flavors, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices, friendly service, and comfortable ambiance make Guisados a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mexican cuisine.

Yelp
The variety was amazing. I especially liked the nopales tacos and the Jami a drink. Ambiance was fun and casual.

Yelp
I wandered over to Kristina's side of town, here in downtown Burbank and she loves this local taco spot bc you guessed it: Vegetarian tacos! They have a wonderful selection: cactus, squash, mushrooms blended vegetarian tacos. We ordered the squash tacos which were absolutely delicious and the hibiscus tea. The Tacos taste handmade. You order at the register and it's a super-laid back, chill, summer day kinda vibe. Right in the midst of all the hustle and bustle of downtown Burbank. Everyone was out, was a fun day and a yummmyy local restaurant.

Yelp
A Los Angeles staple. Hands down one of the best small Mexican restaurant chains out there. Fresh made tortillas, the flavor profiles are fucking fantastic. I was an east sider for many years and would frequent the Boyle Heights (OG), Echo Park locations. Moved to DTLA and was walking distance from their Spring Street location. Again fantastic. Since then I've been to half a dozen locations, each time they open in a new part of town I'm amazed at the consistency of high quality food, service and how they've managed to retain authenticity with their brand as well. 15 years as a patron of this restaurant and I can't recall ever having a bad experience. Guisados.. I think I love you.
google avatar

Yelp
Great tacos located in a Beverly Hills parking lot LOL... just wish they had more vegetarian options.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Would come here every day if I could! The tacos are amazing with large selection. My personal favorite is the chicharron but I typically get 2 or 3 different tacos each time. The flavors are on point and I like that the spice is customizable depending how I feel on a given day. Ceviche I had recently was very solid as well! Finally, the drinks options are so good. I dream about their horchata cold brew. And the staff are super friendly! I always feel welcome and the casual ambiance makes this a great spot for quick lunch or after-work dinner. Tip: don't pay to park in the lot. There's free street parking available one block below.
google avatar

Yelp
A classic spot for tacos in LA -- I was visiting from out of town and this was the first spot I had dinner, and they did not disappoint. They've really up-leveled their outdoor seating patio, according to my friend -- it's covered and has heat lamps! It's super easy to order at the window and the food comes out really fast. I love that they have so many vegetarian and vegan options and literally every taco I tried was flavorful and delicious -- I especially loved the Hongas con Cilantro. Make sure to grab a horchata as well!
google avatar

Gab G.

Yelp
First time trying Guisados! Ordered delivery for lunch to my office and had a great experience. The mole and cochinita pibil were solid, but it was actually the quesadilla that was my favorite. Horchata cold brew was also incredible - I need it again immediately.

Johnny Z.

Yelp
The amount of fish they give you to-go for your ceviche tostada is quite absurd. It is not enough to fill the tostada and for the price for that size is nuts to me.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Whenever my friends are in the area, this is where I bring them. The tacos are really good and there is a lot of variety. I always order the Mole Poblano and Cochinita Pibil, then another taco or the elote tamale. The sauce and creaminess of the mole poblano is wonderful, and the cochinita pibil has a nice contrast with the pickled red onions. If it's your first time at Guisados, I would definitely recommend getting the OG taco sampler to figure out what you want the next time you come. The workers are very friendly and the tacos come out pretty quickly. After you order at the stand, you can grab water on the side and sit at a table. The worker will call out your name when bringing out the food. The only annoying thing is finding parking in the area without having to pay. I believe the parking lot just outside the restaurant is free in the evening, but otherwise street parking will cost a bit. The pics are from multiple visits~

Yelp
From the first time I came here, I fell in love with the food. Simple, and delicious. This place is no frills, which makes it a go to for something quick. I've been here over 5 times since and it never disappoints. The kitchen has got to be one of the most organized and cleanest I've seen yet! Service is great. Order at the window and the food comes out in a flash. Everyone who works there has been friendly. Cannot recommend highly enough. In fact, guisados sounds like a great option for dinner tonight. I'm starving!!!

Rebecca Y.

Yelp
I love Guisados!!! It's one of the first taco places I went to when I moved to LA and it's so good I don't want to try others. At my last visit, I got the 6 mini taco sampler (since I couldn't decide) and a horchata. The food is so fresh (some of the best tortillas I've had), DELICIOUS, and very reasonably priced. The service is fast and the workers are very friendly. There are plenty of clean outdoor tables - perfect place to go with coworkers for a lunch break. I would come here every day if I could :)
google avatar

Hannaniah O.

Yelp
I've been wanting to go to the Downtown location for years, but I luckily happened to stumble across the Beverly Hills location earlier. It's a bit inconspicuous being located in a parking lot but the best spots are the most lowkey, in my opinion. The outdoor seating is quiet, quaint, and was mostly empty for a Friday afternoon. There was hardly any wait between ordering and eating, too We wanted to try a bit of everything for our first time so we each ordered a sampler. Each mini taco was only a couple bites but we left incredibly satisfied. The meat was beyond tender and juicy. Everything was super rich and flavorful, which paired perfectly with a creamy, sweet horchata to wash it all down. The melon agua fresca was refreshing too! Definitely coming back to try the ceviche & camarones!
google avatar

Jill L.

Yelp
Yeesh $8 just to park here for a quick bite? No thank you! Luckily I found some street parking and crossed the lot to order. Both my friend and I got the sampler taco plate. I ordered two Chicharróns, a Cochinita pibil mild, a mole poblano, a chorizo and a chuleta en chile verde. To drink I got the Armando Palmeiro (lol) and my friend ordered the cold brew Horchata. My tacos tasted decent but nothing to write home about. I remember the downtown location tasting a lot better. On the upside, my friend really enjoyed his cold brew Horchata so that was a plus. But I wouldn't come out of my way to eat here unless I was already in Beverly Hills. So many other good local taco spots around.
google avatar

amanda c.

Yelp
Although the tacos are decent, I'm giving one star because of the service-there is NO BATHROOM available for customers. When I asked to use the bathroom, I was told to go to a place 'across the street,' which was CLOSED at the time! How can a restaurant serving food and drink not provide a bathroom??? In Beverly Hills of all places????!!! NO THANKS-WE WILL NEVER RETURN!
google avatar

Ally R.

Yelp
Amazing tacos!!! My 17 year old found them on Yelp and so worth it! Had the agua fresca of Jamaica and it was delicious!
google avatar

Sydney C.

Yelp
Delicious tacos in Beverly Hills. I recommend finding street parking because the valet parking lot charges $8. Ordered their mole poblano, pescado, and steak picado tacos. The meat is braised on handmade tortillas. If you're unsure of what to order, they have a sampler that includes six mini tacos (they look pretty tiny & not sure if you can choose which ones you can mix + match). The chicken mole taco and pescado were my favorites. It was also my first time trying chicken mole and it was so yummy! I wasn't a big fan of the steak picado taco partly because I was expecting grilled carne asada. They have other vegetarian options, plenty of aguas frescas flavors, and tamales on the menu. Their melon agua fresca was so refreshing and delicious!! Would definitely come again and visit their other locations!
google avatar

Ernie B.

Yelp
Good taco spot in BH. There gas stoves were down so unfortunately we couldn't try their tacos. We had a ceviche tostada and a pork tamale. Food was good but nothing extraordinary. We will try again to see what all the fuss is about their tacos.
google avatar

Bruce N.

Yelp
Wonderfully marinated meats with delicious sauces and toppings, nothing like it ,not the trucks nor pop ups..hidden in a parking lot off linden and wilshire

Angel C.

Yelp
This here is not a full size tostada I got cheated for my money not worth it never again
google avatar

Mark G.

Yelp
Heaven on a plate. I got the mole, bistek en salsa roja, and the shrimp. All 10/10 but I'd get more of the bistek for sure next time.
google avatar

Jessica G.

Yelp
The food is amazing! Every bite is flavorful and delicious. It's consistently great, I've been going here for years and the flavors and quality has remained the same. Always exceptionally tasty!
google avatar

Yuki J.

Yelp
This is my second visit here; the first time was in Hermosa Beach. I still find the tacos here incredibly delicious, and I never get tired of their flavor. However, the shrimp ceviche here is a bit different from the Hermosa Beach location. The shrimp didn't seem as fresh, and they were mushy and crushed, so I couldn't really taste the shrimp or feel the texture. But I didn't ask the staff about it at the time because I was enjoying the tasty tacos too much.
google avatar

Baylei Y.

Yelp
Guisados I love because I love their handmade tortillas. It's the best part. Not all the flavors are good to me. It's a little underseasoned. My favorite is to order the $9 taco tray. You get 6 mini tacos of your choice. I always order the black bean , spicy beef , chorizo , chicharrón , red chicken , veggie.
google avatar

Kaitlyn N.

Yelp
I enjoyed Guisados - it was my first time having quality tacos in LA, although to be fair I haven't done a lot of searching. FLAVOR (4.5/5): I ordered the sampler plate and horchata. The sampler plate came with chicken skin, tinga de pollo, mole poblano, bistek en salsa roja, cochinita pibil, and steak picado. My favorites were the cochinita pibil and bistek en salsa roja, with the mole poblano right behind. The chicken skin wasn't my favorite because of the texture and the tinga de pollo had an interesting taste I couldn't quite pin down. TAKEAWAYS: All the tacos were good, but to me some stood out more than others. Getting the sampler plate for your first time is a must! Also, watch out for parking because it's $10 dollars unless you park on the street. But if you park on the street you need a permit and traffic police frequent that area, so be quick!

Yelp
Super tasty tacos, fairly priced, speedy and friendly service. Sooo many kinds to choose from, including vegan options, too. This round I got conchinita pibil (spicy yum!), chuleta, chicharron, and steak picado, all extremely flavorful and delicious. A few things to note... these are all street taco sized, at about $3.50-4.00 a pop, which is a decent price for the quality. Then, their house made corn tortillas are a bit thicker than most, which taste great and hold up well. This is important, as most of the meat selections are stewed as opposed to grilled, so it's basically a saucy glop of meat, on a glop of black beans, topped with a glop of sour cream, serrano chile sauce, or melted queso fresco. Quite messy to say the least. These present much better when eaten there on a plate. If you get them to go, they're wrapped in foil, and not marked, so each gloppy taco looks the same as you unwrap them. This could be annoying to some if you order a bunch for friends, fam, etc. For the Beverly Hills location, they're tucked into a parking lot behind a doctors office building, under a shady tree with a pretty nice, spacious, covered patio to eat (no indoor seating). Parking sucks, cuz unless you wanna pay the $10 flat rate for the lot, you'll end up jockeying for metered street parking, or risking a few minutes in the alley behind with your hazards on. But hey, welcome to LA. Thats all part of the game, and worth the trouble for some really good tacos :)

Yelp
Seriously delicious!! My husband and I are from the Central Valley and we have really good tacos where we are from, so our expectations are high! It's a hidden gem in Beverly Hills. There is no onsite parking for this establishment, but we stayed in a hotel nearby, so no big deal! We ordered steak picado tacos, chicken mole taco, ceviche tostada, cold brew horchata and the puerco tamale. I'm going to list the items from my most favorite to least... Puerco tamale-delicious! The masa was extremely fluffy (probably theeee fluffiest I have ever had in my life!!!) and had chunks of pork with a rojo salsa (mild). Ceviche tostada-perfect combination of tomatoes, onions, fish, cilantro and lime juice (I'm probably forgetting a few ingredients) served on a crispy tortilla and topped with avocado Steak picado taco- my husband described it as "bomb!!" It was served on black beans, had chunks of steak and topped with guacamole. We are also pretty sure that the tortillas were home made Chicken mole taco- it was also very good, but it is hard to shine above the rest. The chicken was shredded served in mole sauce and topped with crème. Cold brew horchata was delicious too! Also, service was fast and staff was friendly. Our tab was approx. $35, super affordable for everything that we ordered! Amaze balls, we will be back!
