Great new restaurant in Brooklyn, and after a few visits, it’s clear this place knows exactly what it’s doing.
We ordered the cemita, bistec a la mexicana, tlacoyos de carnitas, and the costillas en salsa verde. The cemita was messy in the best way, the bistec was full of flavor and comforting, the tlacoyos were rich and satisfying, and the costillas en salsa verde were tender and deeply flavorful. Nothing felt overworked or fussy. Just really good food done right.
The vibe matches the menu. Simple, relaxed, and confident. No gimmicks, no trying too hard. That’s how Mexican food should be, easy like a Sunday morning.
This is the kind of place you don’t just try once. You come back, you bring friends, and before you know it, it’s part of your regular rotation. And honestly, that’s the best compliment you can give a new business.
Also, very important detail: the restroom is clean. That matters.
