Pasadena Is on the Rise as LA’s Most Talked-About Restaurant Scene - Eater LA

LA Taco Institution Guisados Lines Up a Big New Location in Pasadena | Eater LA

"A new, larger branch is planned for 577 S. Arroyo Parkway in the former Doña Rosa building; paperwork has been filed to begin construction and co-owner Armando de la Torre Jr. says there’s no firm timetable for opening or closing yet. The space is notable for being temporary — the building is slated for demolition at some point, so the restaurant won’t be permanent — and it sits up the street from several established and incoming spots, including Lucky Boy, Superba Snacks + Coffee, an incoming Shake Shack and a second location of Howlin’ Ray’s." - Farley Elliott

Celebrating 15 years of Guisados the only way you should — by eating our way through their Pasadena location🤤🎉 From OG classics to refreshing sips, this spot continues to prove why it’s an LA staple. We kicked things off with their aguas frescas, the perfect balance of sweet + refreshing. Then dove straight into their ceviche, bright, citrusy, and loaded with flavor in every bite. Next up: the chicken tamale — soft, steamy, comforting, and everything you want in a tamal done right💛 But the real star? The OG Mini Taco Sampler. A little lineup of all their greatness in one plate. My top picks: 🌶 Mole Poblano — rich, complex, and slightly sweet 🔥 Chicharrón — melt-in-your-mouth tender with all that slow-braised goodness 🌮 Bistek en Salsa Roja — bold, saucy, and full of flavor If you haven’t been to Guisados yet, consider this your sign. And if you have… you already know the obsession is real🫶🏼

Google
I love the cochinita pibil, kinda of sweet to be honest. Shrimp tacos were chef kiss too, but be aware are spicy! I was crying and I considered myself good eating spicy. Beautiful music in Spanish and the fact that they have parking was worth the hour driving from Orange.

Google
The real deal. Huge, complex flavors, kind quick service. The mole was a standout. I tried the "order me if you dare" taco that is essentially just chilis, and I couldn't get through more than 2 bites! I am rarely defeated but that was too much!.

Mabel C.

Google
They serve fresh yellow corn tortillas for the tacos, which are great, but they could use just a little more salt or something to really make them pop. I love their tacos overall, but every location is a little different. Personally, I like the Burbank location the best. CONS: If you’re someone who likes to sit outside, you might not enjoy it here—the corner intersection and passing train can get really loud. Inside is definitely the better choice!

Alan G.

Google
Consistently delicious. Spacious place. Nice staff . Prices aren't clearly shown, if at all, which is not great. Order some food and roll the dice on the price.

Google
The tacos were okay. The tortillas were too thick for my liking. I would have like it if these tacos had some diced onions with cilantros. And, the tamale with cheese was a little on the dry side.

It was our day off today, and we happily set out on a Guisados Tacos food adventure 🌮💥 This popular taco spot in Los Angeles is nothing like your ordinary taco joint. What makes them special? The fillings aren’t grilled—they’re slow-simmered to perfection. Each flavor tastes like a home-cooked dish, lovingly stewed over time. “Guisados” means “stewed dishes” in Spanish, and honestly, you can almost smell the comfort in the name. These tacos aren’t stacked for show or dressed up with trendy toppings. Instead, they’re all about soulful flavors cooked with care. Every bite is rich with sauce, melt-in-your-mouth meat, and that quiet kind of love that comes from perfect seasoning and patience. 🌶️ Gently spiced, tender meats wrapped in warm, handmade corn tortillas— one bite, and happiness spills out. This isn’t just a taco. It’s a tiny universe of Mexican soul, telling a story through taste— the kind you remember with your heart and crave again the moment it’s gone❤️ 🌟 Must-Try Flavors — each one full of flavor and personality: 1. Cochinita Pibil (Yucatán-Style Pork) Melt-in-your-mouth pork with a hint of tangy heat—one bite and your heart explodes with happiness! 2. Bistek en Salsa Roja (Beef in Red Sauce) Tender beef soaked in a rich, slightly spicy red sauce. Perfect with their handmade tortillas. 3. Tinga de Pollo (Tomato-Braised Chicken) Flavorful shredded chicken stewed in tomatoes and onions—simple, warm, and comforting. 4. Chiles Toreados (Grilled Spicy Peppers) A spicy kick for the bold! Packed with heat and flavor for true chili lovers. 5. Sampler Plate Six mini tacos, each with a different flavor—like a taco tasting party you’ll want to repeat again and again! ❤️❤️Clean, cozy, and top-notch service—those three alone already make it worth the visit! But the real highlight? Every single dish is insanely delicious—like a flavor party dancing on your taste buds! 🔥❤️ Definitely saving this spot and already planning our next visit!❤️

Google
We found ourselves facing an uphill battle on New Years Day, Rose Bowl Parade, no where open, raining, morale was at an all time low. Walking down the road we stumbled upon Guisados. BOOM saved the day. Elite breakfast burritos, elite service, and some of the most pristine/fresh limes I’ve ever seen in my days. Modelos on deck as well. What a time. What an establishment.

Yelp
I've had my eye on Guisados for months. Every time our run club passes by I make a mental note to stop by. Located on a busy corner of Arroyo and Del Mar in Pasadena. Had a craving for breakfast tacos and finally remembered that Guisados was on my list. No way I could've passed this opportunity up, especially since we were already in the area. Plenty of parking available in their lot. There's a closed down retail space next door that has tons of parking as well if the first lot is ever full. Besides the food, one thing that stood out right away is that the entire staff were all smiles and extremely helpful. Guisados is doing something right with their staff for sure. Wish we could have dined in but we were in a hurry. We ordered a full assortment of breakfast tacos and went home to eat with the family. I appreciated the order coming in a tin tray. Each taco was nestled ever so neatly beside each other. There was no spillage or mixing between the flavors. I was quite impressed. Looking forward to my next visit to that I can give a full, updated review. I'm a fan so far though.

Yelp
I've only been to Guisados in Burbank so wanted to check out the Pasadena location since it's closer to me now. I ordered a taco sampler. It comes with 6 mini tacos that I can choose what I want or from the preset menu. I opted for steak picado, mole poblano, chicharron, cochinita pibil, chorizo and hongos con cilantro. Every single taco was very tasty. My favorite was cochinita pibil. You can ask for spice level for it as well. However, the mushroom one had rock or sand in it. It was crunchy and sandy when I took a bite. Maybe just need to clean the mushroom better. But it was a disappointment for me. They also provide several beers in bottle. I tried a Mexican beer that I've not had before, Victoria. It's slightly malty and not overly bitter. It went really well with the tacos. The service was friendly. There is parking lot for the restaurant which is nice in Pasadena.

Yelp
Food was solid. Their freshly made tortillas were the highlight. The sampler plate was great. A little bit of everything. They also have an option to choose your own sampler. Private parking. Service was good. Loved their outdoor seating area. Great place to catch up with friends.

Yelp
Came with a friend for a light lunch. It's easy to order and they bring your food to you. My favorite drink here is the melon agua Fresca- try it, you'll like it!! My quesadilla did not look like what I thought it would like but it was super tasty. Tacos are small so you may need to order more than one. We couldn't sit outside due to rain but the atmosphere inside was fine-tables aren't too close so we enjoyed talking. Good stop for lunch and I would return next time I'm in Pasadena

Yelp
Cutest place ever!! We tried the sampler which consisted of 6mini tacos (2 styles of Chicken, 2 of beef, & 2 of pork) & I ordered a shrimp taco, my husband ordered a sampler too + the Chile relleno taco; I was bummed because they ran out of ceviche & wanted to try the ceviche tostada; we both agreed, the Sampler was yum! we could do w/out the shrimp & chile relleno taco; they're making the tortillas there, the girl who took our order also brought us our food, super sweet & friendly! Place clean, modern @ oh so cute! We also had an Armando Palmera, so good!! Lemonade & Jamaica (so creative)

Yelp
Came here after my drop off at the UHaul center for lunch. My stomach was screaming for food and I couldn't make a decision on which taco to get. Luckily guisado has an option for 5 small tasting tacos. Let me tell you...it was amazing! I can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Margaret C.

Yelp
Everything was so delicious!! The tacos were perfect and the flavor was on point. The service was also amazing and they checked up on us often. The place is clean and the vibes are awesome. Highly recommend getting the horchata - you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Tacos in a way that I had never had before. I am a Guisados lover. My boyfriend and I go quite allot. We live in west covina and drive far for tacos because they are that good. We get the sampler one for each. you can get it with there usual picks or you can pick your own. The quesadilla is like nothing you have had before. I was thrown off the first time but I cant get enough of it now. And the aguas ... wow Lemonade is addicting soo good.

Yelp
Premium Tacos. Amazing Fish Ceviche. Great Conchinita Pibil. Open until Midnight. Tried Guisados a long time ago in DTLA and got the sampler. It was a memorable experience with premium ingredients and spicy mango salsa. Finally, came around to try the Pasadena location for a late night taco run. Make sure to get one of each salsa: spicy Mango, red salsa, and a green salsa with avocado. The Tortilla was hand made and delicious. Do not sleep on that Pescado Ceviche, it was so delicious and tasty. My favorite taco is the Cochinita Pibil like so many reviewers recommended. If they rework the Steak Picado and made it grilled seared steak, it would be absolute perfection. The restaurant was clean and huge. I am impressed that they are open until midnight. Service was friendly. Ordered the Following: Ceviche 5/5 $4.95 Fish Ceviche on a tostada topped with a slice of avocado Steak Picado 4/5 $3.79 Flank steak simmered with green bell peppers and bacon. Served with green serrano chile atop black beans. Tinga 4/5 $3.79 Shredded chicken breast braised with tomatoes, cabbage, chorizo and chipotle. Served with chipotle chile and avocado. Cochinita Pibil 5/5 $3.79 Shredded pork cooked in a sweet, red achiote spice atop black beans. Served with Yucatan compliments, Pickled red onions and habanero Then, I took some to-go for my family. The Camarones was so tasty. Repeated the Conchinita Pibil. Had to have the Ceviche.

Yelp
Guisados never disappoints! Stewed meat tacos with homemade tortilla. Tinga is my favorite here, with a little bit of spice! Friendly service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Casual. Small free parking lot.

Yelp
I love the fact that I don't have to drive to far for awesome food with warm welcoming place. The food is sooo good and authentic that I came here after I had dinner the other night for a second dinner immediately after because I was craving their tacos! Had their nopales taco, a chile relleno taco and also a ceviche. It's soo darn good, and after that I wanted more!!! Who does that? Well I do eat a lot but to have cravings that can only be satisfied by really great food to me says a lot. Can't just do it with any ordinary tacos.

Yelp
Not much to say about Guisados in general beyond it's delicious. This location has a couple of additional perks: a parking lot and friendly staff. Came here after a hike on a weekend on the tail end of the lunch rush (~1 pm). Parking was easy as they have a lot, which is not the case at all their locations. For food, I got the sampler, pollo tamale, and melon fresca. Not much to comment on for each other than delicious as always-- this location definitely holds to the Guisados standards. The staff was also very friendly, giving my friend recommendations for deciding what to select for their sampler. There's both indoor and outdoor seating-- we opted to sit on the patio. It's slightly enclosed, which is nice as it provides a calmer ambiance vs the busy street outside.

Yelp
I'm baaack! I've been to the Sunset location but gave the Pasadena location a try. Just as good as I remember! This time I brought my parents along and they were in disbelief in how delicious it was. I ordered: - Mole Poblano: Ugh, this HAS to be my favorite. I ordered two and took my time eating them because I wanted to relish in the meal. Perfect balance between sweet and savory. - Camarones: I decided to give the camarones a try and it was enjoyable. The taco isn't stuffed with shrimp which I don't mind, but some may like more than what it provided. It was great. Perfect amount of sauce. - Melon Agua Fresca: Yum!! I always stick to water so it was pretty sweet to me but it was delicious nonetheless. I'd order again. The corn tortillas are the best. Staff was nice and attentive. Restaurant was clean and comfortable.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food! Good quality! Fresh tortillas! Free parking in lot, which is always a nice feature in Pasadena.
google avatar

Angie R.

Yelp
Food I found was rather pricy especially for the size of the tacos; however, I do enjoy getting the sampler as it has the tendency to hit the spot for someone like me who has a hard time deciding between the different types of tacos. Service is always good here; the people in general love to give their input on what is good and they different pallets. I find that the place itself is a little small which is great for parties of 4 or less. Anymore than 6 would be over crowded and difficult to navigate through. My favorite tacos are the mole, chuleta en Chile verde, steak picado and frijoles con queso. All tacos come with salsa on them and they look exactly how they do in the pictures so there is no questioning that. The horchata has a lot of cinnamon if you can't tell by the bottom of the cup. Regardless it tastes so delicious with each sip having the cinnamon taste that many horchata's lack. Cannot wait to go back again.

Yelp
let me tell keep this description short and straight up: fresh handmade corn tortillas, homestyle braised meat, everything you're looking for in a taco There was free parking (a plus) and the service was super FAST! we didn't wait for more than 5 minutes for our food. there's seating indoor and outdoor. The patio was really nice to sit and eat at because they had heaters and it's entirely covered and shaded. Here's what we ordered: -the OG sampler ($10.49) - includes 6 mini tacos of steak picado, bistek en salsa roja, tinga de pollo, mole poblano, chicarron, & cochinita pibil -tinga de pollo (normal sized $3.79) -cochinita pibil (normal sized $3.79) - we got this with a medium spice level but this was SPICY!! I am someone with pretty high spice tolerance and the spice on this got me

Omar L.

Yelp
We liked to frequent this place because of their handmade tortillas and excellent guisados. However, last time we visited, we saw a big change in the meat to bean ratio. Some tacos have a thin layer of beans in addition to the meat, but this last time, the tacos were heavier on the beans than usual, and very little meat was added on top. At almost $5 a taco, it is completely unreasonable that they try to skimp on the meat that way. I'll just head to Angels Tijuana Tacos in Eagle Rock instead, for half the price.
google avatar

Raul P.

Yelp
Still the best! The best tacos in town, full of flavor and always fresh handmade tortillas. I recommend the pibil, chorizo, mole and camarones, although they are all good. The quality is consistent every time I visit and the staff always friendly.

Yelp
Review via haiku: Clean, bright, and airy Excellent breakfast tacos Good agua fresca

Yelp
4+ I haven't been to a Guisados in quite while. I was in the area, visiting friends, and on my way back home. I saw this place that was still open late, at least relative for the area. The building is clean and it feels like kind of a fast casual chain atmosphere. The person that I order friend was super friendly and helpful. Pretty good selection of the stewed or braised style tacos. Also a good selection of the juices. I ended up ordering the melon or cantaloupe that I used to wash down my mole poblano and cochinita pibil tacos. The tacos had a nice spice to it and were super flavorful. The tortillas are freshly made and nice and fluffy. This location is great and Guisados is always a fun choice if in the area.
google avatar

Steph H.

Yelp
STEPH JUDGEMENT: Spacious, with the great Guisados food you love. Was totally excited to see this location as we were driving toward the convention center! It had been a while since we've been to a Guisados and it was lunch time so it was a no brainer! We got an assortment of all their veggie options and a couple of pescatarian tacos, and of course I had to get the Horchata with cold brew--which is LIFE. There was even a cute little ancient pup that would come hang out by your table, what's not to love? Would definitely hit them up again the next time we're in the area!
google avatar

Haylie T.

Yelp
Love this Guidados location. It's more spacious than the other locations that I've been to and theres a lot of natural lighting inside. They offer both indoor and outdoor seatings. Their tacos are delicious and the quality is pretty consistent with other Guisados location. Price is on the higher side with each taco averages $3.74-$4.75. We ordered the OG sampler which comes with 6 mini tacos (2 beef, 2 chicken, and 2 pork tacos). Also ordered the shrimp and fish tacos, which were the highlights of the meal. Removed one star since the tables were not cleaned well and the restrooms were also quite dirty. Parking: they have a small parking lot behind the restaurant. Recommend street parking or park at close by shopping plazas.
google avatar

Akira N.

Yelp
It's hard to go to any other taco place since discovering Guisados. The choices are excellent and fresh.... But it's the homemade tortillas made right in front of you that make this place special. Easy parking and lots of indoor/outdoor seating.
google avatar

Yolanda S.

Yelp
Another LA staple. From the DT location to the Pasadena location, they always deliver. I like that they have both outdoor and indoor seating, and it's spacious. My go-to is their OG mini taco sampler plate, it comes with the steak picado, bistek Roja, tinga, mole, chicharron & cochinita pibil. And I highly recommend trying their chicharron (deep fried pork rinds braised in Chile verde). Simply the best! I noticed that they have expanded their menu these days. We also had the ceviche tostada, and I must say, it was unexpectedly fresh! They also have tamale, quesadilla, and breakfast options (breakfast only before 11am) Simply put, one of the best stewy tacos in LA!
google avatar

Helen T.

Yelp
Both vegetarian and meat platters were so damn delicious. From the corn tortillas, to the fillings and the salsas, were all so good. We will return and this time, I'm bringing Mom!!! Also, the staff were so helpful and pleasant!!! I totally recommend you try this place and hey...you don't have to wait for Taco Tuesday because this is T.T. everyday at Guisados!!!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm not a huge taco fan. I like the Supreme tacos at Taco Bell. Hot ground beef in a crunchy taco with fresh lettuce and dice tomatoes with shredded cheese with a small dollop of sour cream...Mmmmm. Just writing this makes me want one now. Lol. With that being said, my son loves a good taco and where else to get good ones than SoCal. Nikki B., was sweet enough to recommend this place for me. What I love is that they do a sampler. I think it's a great way to try different ones especially if you can't decide. The $8.50 OG Mini Sampler includes: - Steak Picado - Bistek Roja - Tinga - Mole - Chicharron - Conchinita Pibil When our platters came out our server was sweet enough to point out which was which. It all went over my head. Lol. The recipes are from the owner's mom and the corn tortillas are handmade. Most of their meats are braised and that is what makes it super tender and packed with flavor. We enjoyed all the tacos but I will say that the Mole was my least favorite. We loved our drinks here. I got the Horchata and my kiddo got the Horchata Cold Brew. I actually preferred his over mine because it was less sweet. Plenty of spacious outdoor seating. Why sit inside when you can soak in some Cali sunshine. Nikki...my son wants me to thank you. Muchas Gracias! It was a winner. Note: Guisados has expanded to 7 locations.

Yelp
I've never had tacos like this before but it was on my bookmark so I decided to give it a try since we were in the area of one of these places. CNN called them the best tacos in America and I believe with all my might THEY ARE WRONG. These tacos are filled with stewed meats and is a specific way of preparation. It reminded me of a dish my mother makes called beef ranchero. I actually liked the chicharron more than the streak which was like eating actual stew with a corn tortilla. My girlfriend tried the OG platter and liked the chicken tinga out of all six of them. It's not my type of taco but I'm glad to have tried it out. It's for those who grew up eating these on a regular basis, so if you had that childhood, enjoy this spot. They play a lot of Selena and it's a brightened restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating.
google avatar

Dahlia S.

Yelp
Guisado's in Pasadena currently resides in an architecturallly unique building formerly occupied by Dona Rosa (a premier Mexican dining spot). It was a shame to lose that venerable restaurant, but at least it's now occupied by a worthy replacement. They showcase a review of Guisado's tacos (on the wall above the kiosk) by the late great Pulitzer Prize winning food critic Jonathan Gold. "In Tacos we Trust" is a witty slogan above the entry/exit door. I was here on a Saturday morning and not too hungry so I ordered light, Breakfast tacos Mexicana, and Pan Dulce. The freshly made corn tortilla, fluffy, perfectly prepared eggs with tomato, cheese, and light chile was outstanding!! The Pan Dulce were excellent, light, fresh, crumbly, morsels of goodness. The service is friendly and helpful, can't wait to return.
google avatar

Reeya C.

Yelp
This is a great option for tacos in Pasadena! My friend had been raving about this place for a while. They really value the place because it's super vegetarian and vegan friendly, so if you're vegan/vegetarian you won't be out of options! Plus, this place is almost exclusively gluten free. I wasn't super sure what I wanted, so one of the workers suggested I opt for a sampler. If you eat meat, I recommend the one I got, the OG Sampler. There are three samplers if I remember correctly, but essentially each one is a plate of 6 tacos and as the name implies, you get to sample a range of different ones. These tacos are pretty bare, that is, there aren't a lot of additional toppings. However, the meats are full of mouth watering flavors and really leave you wanting more. The pork tacos definitely stood out!
google avatar

Nate P.

Yelp
Massively overrated. You will like this place if you like a lot of slimy onion and red bell pepper bits intertwined with your skimpy portion of meat and significant liquid running out of your taco. Then you'll love it. And judging by the reviews I guess a lot of people like liquid taco with slimy peppers and onions in it. Considering the countless excellent hole in the wall mom and pop taco shops and stands in the LA county area, I can't imagine why you would go here unless... Oh right, you're white. White people love this kind of thing. It's like the IPA of tacos. There is no way people ACTUALLY love this food but they feel it makes them seem like they have good 'authentic' taste if they eat here, so they do and they pretend they love it. But IPAs are generally speaking, gross, and so is this place. $24 I will never get back.
google avatar

Dominick S.

Yelp
You already know about the horchata cold brew and the tamales. The sampler plate move is still the way to go for variety. The breakfast burritos are just right. What brought me here to write a "review" is the fact that I forget they have salsa, everything is so good and full of flavor on its own but the side of HABANERO SALSA is a must on every order.

Yelp
It's been a few years that we've been coming, so this review is late. We used to drive to their restaurant near Dodger Stadium, but now we have it here in Pasadena!! LOVE their tacos, especially their Zucchini taco and Mushroom tacos are AMAZING... and needless to say everything they make it Wonderful. Even their Tamales are exceptional.... and then there is their take on an Arnold Palmer which is always a must!! Casual environment, friendly staff... parking can be snug but it's so worth it!!

Yelp
the best quesadilla I have probably ever had. So good!!! loved it glad that I was able to find this place in pasadena

Yelp
Boyfriend picked this restaurant due to the good reviews. Came here for date night before we went to Descanso Gardens. Parking lot was empty on a Monday night. They have their own parking lot so there was plenty of parking available. Menu is very limited and there seems to only be tacos or tostadas for order. I ordered 3 tacos; fish, shrimp and asada. My boyfriend had gotten 2 of their asada, chicken tinga, and chicharrones. The tortillas are housemade and the tacos comes with a single tortillas rather than double. The tacos were very watery from the meats. All of my boyfriend's tacos were super watery which caused his tortilla to break. My asada was watery. They shouldve drained the water before putting the meat on the tacos. My fish and shrimp was not battered. They were steamed because it also didn't taste/look grilled. My shrimp taco came with 3 shrimps and was full of bell peppers. The fish taco was covered in cabbage than anything. Wasn't a fan of the tacos. They didn't provide us with any salsa. You order your food and they bring your food to your table. We were pretty disappointed in our experience and feel like this place is just hyped.

Yelp
This place is great, if you are trying to lose weight. $28 and I am going to have to cook something when I get home. I don't think it's their fault. This the 2nd time in a week that i have experienced this. They use to call what I had, "the kids meal". It's so hard to find a good affordable restaurant these days.

Joel G.

Yelp
Food is good but the cup of salsa was empty and they charge for it! For 4 tacos and a quesadilla I would they would give more.

Brian S.

Yelp
When to this establishment for lunch today, ordered a pork chorizo breakfast burrito, came home and ended up with food poisoning, I have notified the health department about this place. I will not be returning to this place , and if I were you, I wouldn't patronize it either unless you want to get food poisoning
google avatar

Eiji M.

Yelp
I want to give this place 5 stars for the variety and authentic flavors. Love handmade tortillas and the Cochinita Pibil and steak quality was good. It was a little too bland for my taste. Could have used acid, lime, salt, or salsa to give it some flavor especially the marinated onions. Was expecting a more vinegary kick. I can tell that they put time & attention into the tacos. The Chuleta in Chile Verde sounds interesting for next time.
google avatar

Edgar L.

Yelp
This place is the bomb diggity! Never fails to satisfy. Their pollo tinga will make you lick your finga. Their Pescado will make you want to play the bongo. Their quesadilla is totally killa. You get a bang for your buck and your belly will be full in a jiffy.

Adam M.

Yelp
Found this restaurant while coming out here for work has a great outdoor patio to sit and watch the world go by. I got four tacos in which I asked for pork and beef servers choice. The young female behind the desk picked for tacos, which were both delicious and appetizing. The Horchata was very tasty .
google avatar

Monica L.

Yelp
I had both vegetarian and vegan tacos today and was throughly disappointed. The vegetables were so watery and there was a strange flavor to one of the tacos I ordered. This place was underwhelming.

Yelp
COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with no limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is small. It does get full during peak business hours, so if the lot is full, just park in the lot across from them and you'll be fine. Food: I ordered a horchata. I was craving a horchata while I was shopping in Pasadena, so I stopped by to get one. Refreshing homemade Horchata! Horchata is a traditional Mexican drink made up of white rice soaked in water. It's flavored with cinnamon and its sweetened with granulated sugar. So fricken delicious. Staff: The staff here are very fast and friendly. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

Yelp
Yummy food! Loved the homemade tortillas. I had grilled fish and they're so good! Wish they'd make the eat-in area more chill.

Yelp
Tacos were pretty good - not sure if I would say it was amazing but pretty good. Service was great and the ambiance was nice. I would come back here.

Yelp
More simple than the outside might hint at, this place is mainly about tacos. The chicken and pork (chuleta) are pretty good. Proteins are chopped or shtedded into small pieces (smaller than bite sized) which I'm not sure I like. But I was surprised they didn't seem to have sides or salsas as I would have expected. Good but forgettable.

Yelp
Guidados never disappoints. Not only the is the food delicious but the service was amazing. I was there like 10 minutes and two people came to ask me how I was doing. I wish they open one up in the SF valley.

Yelp
Being from the LA area I've heard about Guisados for years and finally ended up trying it. This place did not disappoint and definitely lived up to the hype. Really liked what they did with this location that was formerly Doña Rosa I believe. To start this place is very clean, simple, and spacious. I got the taco sampler which I definitely recommend. From what I've tried the chicharron and the steak picado were the best although the other options were very good as well. All of there aguas frescas are made in house which is rare these days. I had the horchata which was on the very sweet side but the homemade flavors salvaged the drink. Staff is very friendly and informative of what the menu consist of. They also bring you your food and give you a breakdown of what you are about to eat. All in all this place is a great addition to the areas food scene.

Yelp
It's hard to justify paying so much for a taco, but each taco we had was so good! My favorites were the steak and pescado. They have their own lot, but careful not to miss the entrance! Might be hard to catch on a busy road. Lots of indoor seating!

Yelp
Every time I come to Southern California, Guidados is always on my list. Ive been coming for years and have been to a couple other locations in LA, but this was my first stop at the one in Pasadena. The food and service are always great even over the changes to the restaurant business over the years. The only thing I dislike is that all the options are a La carte, but that doesn't stop me from coming. My absolute favorite taco is the Cochinita pibil hands down. It's shredded pork in a red sauce topped with spicy pickled onions in a homemade corn tortilla--it's simple. Any taco that requires more than a ton condiments is not a taco in my opinion, the simpler the better and that's what's going on here. This location offered a couple pan dulce, breakfast taco options and even offered cold brew horchata which I thought was a good business move. Put this place on your list.
