"Located in a strip mall in Henderson, Korean spot Kang’s Kitchen is filled with plenty of leather banquettes perfect for a casual meal with your family or a significant other. Although the delicious $48-per-person, all-you-can-eat BBQ option will satisfy your meat cravings with tender prime cuts of beef, pork, chicken, seafood, and a table full of banchan, make room for the a la carte dishes that flex the restaurant’s Korean roots. We’re still dreaming about the steamed mandu filled with a juicy blend of pork, herbs, and vegetables, and the ugeoji galbi tang is in a league of its own—the meat falls off the bone and comes in a flavorful, spicy orange broth. " - emmy kasten

Google
Okay this is a neighborhood jam that everyone should make an effort to try Great atmosphere comfortable seating Nice music and a pleasant environment to have dinner or lunch. I have the hot stone pot bibimbap. It is pictured here in and it was delicious it came with everything and I am not a big sauce guy but this sauce that they have is like a chili garlic sauce and it wasn't too hot but it was really tasty and I used every drop of it on my food it was so delicious I was really impressed with this place.

I arrived at Gung Chae around 6:30 tonight, and it was pretty quiet—maybe five other people inside. The ordering process was efficient, and Clarissa, who helped me at the register, was polite, though a bit serious. She quickly took my order and gave me my receipt. I went with the LA beef ribs and white rice, and my meal came out fast and was served piping hot. I also tried the cinnamon punch, which was absolutely delicious! The food was flavorful and the flavors paired together really well. There was soy sauce and free lemon water available by the door, which was a nice touch. The peaceful background music made for a relaxing dinner. Overall, a fantastic experience!

Wanted some quick korean food without committing to a full scale korean BBQ experience. Did a quick Google search and gave this place a try as we live 2 miles away. Located right next to Vitamin Shoppe on eastern. We didn't have any issues finding parking around 515pm. The menu is pretty extensive for a small shop like this. I had the kitchen stew. Companions had the combo meal with bulgogi and noodle. Combo meals was $22.99 plus $2 for a beef/ seafood stew add on. The stew meal was $12.99; it came with a regular size korean soup bowl, a cabbage salad, kimchi and rice. I ordered it spicy but it was not spicy to me at all. The flavor was decent but nothing spectacular. Bulgogi was disappointing as it was pretty bland. For $22.99, it was disappointing. They do have homemade kimchi for sale as well as mochi dessert. We didn't try the mochi but the kimchi was not bad. Overall, we probably won't return as it's too costly for the quality.

Omg I’m so glad I found this place in Henderson!! Really good Korean food with reasonable price. Very clean and food is so good! Must try! I had to drive all the way to Chinatown to get good Korean food. Bibimbop and cold noodle, bulgogi, spicy pork… all great!! Definitely coming back and highly recommended!!

Google
I randomly walked into this place and I was floored. The look of the restaurant is so fresh and nice. It blends a perfect mixture of new and traditional. It was very clean. I was very impressed by the look and feel of the entire layout. And the menu was simple and easy to navigate. I went with the bulgogi doshirak and I can’t say enough about the packaging and the quality of the food. As a Korean American I think they hit all of the right notes that any person who loves traditional Korean cuisine would want in a meal. The food was light, super fresh and still with flavors that will punch you in your mouth. The packaging was stunning as well. Practical and beautiful. Well done you guys! I will be a frequenting here as a regular from now on. I’m so happy this gem is on this side of town! Us foodies needed this! And us Korean food foodies REALLY needed this! Here’s proof that I ate every piece I could!

Yelp
Very healing soups and the servers are super welcoming and kind! Clean and comforting environment too. Love coming here for a quick but healthy meal.

Ashish D.

Yelp
Wow, just wow. Clarissa was the most amazing server I've ever had in my 24 years of living, and I've been to many restaurants in those years. She always had a smile on her face. Give this woman a raise ASAP!

Yelp
I had already had the privilege of getting a meal here for a yelp event, and several days later my child got me sick. I was craving this type of food and my boyfriend picked me up take out. I tried their beef tofu soup and the spicy chicken medium spicy. They also had their 2 week aged cabbage kimchi they make in house in stock, so I he got me a big container of that. I never actually had this type of soup before, but found it really well balanced in flavor and loved all the vegetables inside it. They even had a perfectly cooked soft boil egg in their that transported without popping. They seal the to go orders so they cant leak which I have not seen before. The spicy chicken wasnt really spicy, but had flavor. I would have perferred them using the breast meat personally. I like the flavor and texture more. It came also with their yummy cabbage salad and kimchi. The giant tub of kimchi is a delight. 15 dollars, but very large. They seem to use a whole cabbage as its still attached at the base. 3 types of fermentation options. I went with what they use in their meals, which is the 2 week option. Its nice to have an Asian food spot or take out in general that doesn't use crazy amounts of sodium to create flavor. I didn't feel bloated or overly thirsty after I ate my food. Definitely recommended this spot.

Eric G.

Yelp
Pretty decent casual Korean restaurant. Not very large inside as a traditional sit down restaurant. Few tables for a quick meal. Food was good and clean, lots of flavor. Few downsides however were the price. Each dish/combo is a little over $20; which I think is a tad bit on the pricey side for quick takeout. Can spend few more bucks for AYCE bbq anywhere. But nonetheless, would come back for takeout once in a while. Asked to substitute my tofu soup for kimchi soup for combo A, worker wouldn't do it despite it being offered in a similar combo for some reason...

Dee G.

Yelp
This place is super cute and spacious. Super clean. The staff was super nice. The food was so good and fresh. Really enjoyed the favor of the soup. The meat was not chewy at all. It was nice and soft with good favor. I also enjoy the tuna mayo kimbap. It had lots of flavor and the texture was different But good ! I will definitely be going back to try other dishes.

Ev D.

Yelp
Ordered a combo B #31 BEEF LA SHORT RIB. Comes with protein, kalguksu & choice of one hot noodle for combo (beef or clam kalguksu).... I went with beef. All of the food was tasty and flavorful. The customer service was good and the service time was quick.

Alma Z.

Yelp
Soooooo goooodd!!! Went to Gung Chae with my coworker on a lunch break- I got combo 1, and he got combo 2. Both to go. Also kimbap and 2 drinks, lychee and plum. I love every single item. Had tofu soup with seafood. Got medium in spiciness and it was just perfect!!! Beef ribs were made to perfection. I don't know why people complain it's chewy. Mine were so tender. My coworker loved his beef noodle and beef soup. Kimbap was first time for me to try- big fan now. Healthy and yummy. Inside was very nice too. Simple, to the point. I don't think many people take their food for go. It's a great spot to stop savor your meal. My only quarter of a Star removal is packaging. Although- cool idea, it was so impractical to put leftovers away, since they have no lids. Something to work on Otherwise- can't wait to go back!! Highly recommend! Thank you Gung Chae!!!

Lara M.

Yelp
Wow! Yummy... and I just indulged from the comfort of my own couch. This Korean cuisine elevates the take out experience and satisfies your cravings for culinary adventure. Hubby brought home the Beef Bulgogi and the LA Kalbi Beef. It's hard to pick my favorite. They come perfectly wrapped with all the fixings. Steamed rice, kimchi stew, and Banchan. This spread comes complete with each item separately sealed and includes an individual set of chopsticks, fork and spoon. What a lovely indoor picnic lunch. Not only is it nicely packaged, but the temp and taste is perfection! A must try! We will be back soon.

Asialynn V.

Yelp
Came out for a solo date and craving Korean comfort food. This is pretty close to my house so that's a plus! It's a very tiny restaurant, max 8 tables, with colorful panels close to the ceiling. By the counter is a drink selection and they sell kimchi in pretty big containers. Staff were welcoming and nice. I ordered kimchi stew and it's delicious! They served it with a bowl of rice, a salad with sesame dressing and a side of kimchi. Super filling and would love to come back again to try other things on their menu and buy some kimchi!

Jiaranai C.

Yelp
Ordered a to-go order from this place. First impression, everything was packaged beautifully. The food tasted even better. I was craving something healthy and hearty. This meal definitely hit the spot. I work around this area, so I will definitely stop by for lunch!

Nguyen T.

Yelp
Legit takeout soul food. We ordered takeout and the portion is very decent and fullfiling. The boxes are well made and not cheap plastic. They even wrap the boxes in a paper note which is nice. Feels like luxurious takeout. Food is bomb. Perfect for a bento/tray lunch type. 5/5

Yelp
I drove all the way from the Bay Area to spend time with my aunt for a few weeks. She is a foodie, and I'm trying to get her to start writing her own Yelp reviews. She mentioned this place and how it's new and she has wanted to try it, so my first night in town we came by, we have come by twice now to try different things We have tried: Combo 29 with veggie soup Tuna Kimbap Beef tofu soup Chicken meal box dosirak All have been very delicious, they give lots of food in addition to the main item. The tofu soup came with rice, salad, and kimchi. The combo 29 had short ribs, rice, salad, kimchi, and a tofu soup. You could easily split this with another person! You really can't go wrong with whatever you choose.

Christina F.

Yelp
Open seating throughout, many meal options to choose from including child sizes. Drinks, desserts and the to go boxes are spill proof! Love this! Especially for the soups with are super filling and delicious! Every single item was healthy and delicious!

Connie K.

Yelp
This is my second time coming here, and I was craving some healthy Korean food. I ordered a combo with the hot Korean noodle soup and short rib. The noodle soup was amazing--so flavorful and comforting! I will definitely be ordering it again. It tastes really fresh and healthy. The only downside was the short rib--it wasn't as tender as I had hoped and was a bit tough to chew. Other than that, everything was great! The service was friendly, and the food came out really fast. The ambience is casual, more of a grab-and-go spot, with a self-serve station for utensils and water. Definitely a solid choice for a quick and satisfying meal!

Amanda G.

Yelp
Ordered take out, so review does not include service. Ordered the soft tofu chicken stew medium spice and was not disappointed with the taste of it! I was disappointed by the portion size. Felt a bit small, especially for the amount of rice provided. Overall I'd probably go back, but maybe get a side to go with the rest of the meal.

Jean L.

Yelp
I solo dined here after a stressful week at school and it hit the spot! The ambiance is very chill and I absolutely love the lo-fi jazz they play. It was not awkward at all as a solo diner since there were a lot of people coming in and out, including another girl who sat and ate alone too. This is a really great place to eat with friends because everyone pays for their own meals at the counter before sitting down. This avoids the awkward-ness of getting the bill split after a meal. So, I like this system with that in mind. The ox bone soup was hearty and delicious. It came with unlimited kimchi, which was also very, very good. I enjoyed my meal very much... felt full and relaxed after leaving. Thank you :D Also, if you're reading this review and you're a regular at this spot and solo dine... hit me up on Yelp. I'd be down to come with you. For real real.

Yelp
Finally posting my review of Gung Chae after a few amazing visits!! AND FINALLY a Korean home-style restaurant in Henderson!! I don't think you could find a Korean restaurant in this side of town, it's always a 20-30 min drive away for some decent Korean food. I was so excited to find this place. Service is soo wonderful and everyone is so nice. I come here when I'm craving a spicy, fulfilling and healthy meal especially after a long shift, since it's close to my work. Some of my favorites I've had so far are the beef soondooboo-jjigae and bulgogi hotstone bibimbap. Sooo good! I've also tried some of their kimbap, which is great as well. I can't wait to see this place blow up bc it's so good! I will definitely be back

Nana M.

Yelp
We ordered a bimbibap bulgogi and the combo A with tofu soup and spicy pork. The serving size was relative small and the side of kimchi was also very fishy. The soup was cold and the egg inside it was almost completely raw. The spicy pork was not crispy and it could be described as soggy and plain. The bimbibap was not bad but it was lacking on variety of vegetables. The hot stone was also not hot enough so the rice didn't get crispy. The service was also not that great, my partner had to talk to the server 3 times because of issues with the order (they gave us the wrong order and also missing items on the combo). Not the best experience overall for the cost (roughly $60 for two people after tip and tax).

Alex A.

Yelp
Gung Chae is a great alternative if you're looking for clean and homely Korean food whether for take out of dine in, and it's very fairly priced. They have an awesome yelp and Google review deal and their kimbaps are freshly made. I enjoy the simple quick to eat bites they have to offer if you want something fast and don't want to linger around too much, but if you're in a social mood they also have great sit down options as well. It's just like home cooking and reminds me of my umma, every time I visit home. I got the spicy kimchee jigae and healthy veggie kimbahp, it's worth a stop if you're in the area. And If you've never been definitely come check them out!

Chris G.

Yelp
Super clean and th service is great! good good food!! The beef is tender and they give generous portions here!

Frank W.

Yelp
We recently dined at this restaurant for the first time. My wife chose Combo A that included chicken, rice and a veggie stew while I settled on Combo B with spicy pork and clams kalguksu. Also included were 4 banchan. Prices are reasonable, the quantity abundant and the flavors were terrific.

Janess B.

Yelp
Yay!!! I'm so excited to have this place as an option! We need more Korean restaurants here in Henderson! Healthy Korean food!! Everything was freshly made!! I got the bulgogi dosirak meal box with bulgogi and kimchi stew which came with sides-cucumber, potato, kimchi radish, etc. Wow! The bulgogi was plenty! Kimchi stew was soooo good! The right amount of spice! I like how the sides change daily. Service was quick! Staff was so nice! They even welcomed you when you come in. Ambiance is chill and casual. You order and food gets served to your table.

Larry A.

Yelp
Great healthy food, try the Hot stone bibimpap with egg on top, Mucho delicious with beef, also available for vegan

Yelp
Gung Chae Korean Healthy Kitchen is a new Korean restaurant that opened towards the end of June. Gung Chae Korean Healthy Kitchen and took over PinkBox. This restaurant is also in the same plaza as Krazen Sushi and Orange Theory Fitness with shared parking. My husband and I decided to try this restaurant last month, on a Saturday night, we walked in around 7:15 pm. We were greeted by the 2 employees behind the counter. There was only one person ahead of us in line to make an order at the counter. After looking over the menu, we ended up ordering: Vegetable Hot Stone Pot Bibimbap, $14.99 prior to tax- Although there is spicy chicken that you can order, I was told by the employee that they did not have regular (non- spicy) chicken available, which is why I ended up ordering the vegetable version. I did like this bibimbap, which came with a sunny side egg. It was very delicious and filling. My menu ended up coming with a bowl of steamed rice and a side salad with sesame dressing. I really loved this salad and could eat a whole bowl of that. My meal also came with a small side of kimchi as well, which I mixed in with my bibimbap and rice and was perfectly find for me. Spicy Pork Bibimbap, $13.99 prior to tax- My husband ordered this dish, but not in the hot stone pot. His meal came with a side salad with sesame dressing and a small side of kimchi as well. My husband also liked this meal and found it to be filling and also very flavorful. ---------------------- (Total= $31.41 after tax) We only waited 6 minutes for my husband's meal to be brought out and then the following minute, my meal was brought out to our table. Water is self served and you can also get your own utensils and napkins. The unisex restroom was clean during our visit and adequately stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towel. There was only another couple dining in while we were there. The other people we say coming in ordered their meals to go and left. I really like this Korean restaurant and definitely see myself coming back.

Yelp
After Googling Korean Restaurants near me, Yelp pointed me to Gung Chae Korean Healthy Kitchen. I've wanted to try Kimchi Stew for the longest time, and after seeing the pictures, knew I had to get it. I'm really glad I did! The service was quick and everything was packaged so neatly. OMG... the Kimchee stew was sooo delicious and filling! It had chunks of kimchi, tofu, and pork belly, and came with a bowl of steamed rice, with sides of Kimchi and a coleslaw that paired perfectly with it. I also ordered the veggie Kimbap, and it was very tasty!!! I need to try more things from Gung Chae. Everything on the menu looks amazing.

Rachel E.

Yelp
I had a coupon for a BOGO bibimbap, and it was close to the house, so I wanted to try it out. The presentation was really cool, and while I've never been to Korea, it seems like a legit place. They had a lot of beverage options, including Barley Tea which you don't see everywhere. I wish it was fresh but I will take the bottled version. They also have refreshers which they DO make in house, but they were way too sweet for me. If you like sweet drinks, you'll probably like this. The food was decent, but I'm taking off a star for two reasons. First, we didn't get a ton of meat in our bulgogi bibimbap. This is probably typical of a bibimbap, but I wish there was more considering the price. Second, we wanted to try the hot stone bibimbap, but I guess we couldn't with the coupon? We were willing to pay full price for the hot stone, and it didn't say it excluded it on the coupon, so that was a bummer. All in all it's good to see a nice variety of stuff here. If I come back, I'd probably try a more meat-forward dish.

Nina C.

Yelp
Laid-back atmosphere with quality food. The rice cake was also very delicious! I had the bulgogi with a medium spicy soup.

Andrew C.

Yelp
Came here for lunch recently on a Saturday morning. Had recently found out about this place by chance on IG and had kept a note to try this place when I could. Gung Chae is located on Eastern, just passed Siena Heights Dr, on the same building as Chipotle but on the opposite corner. There are decent amount of seating but this place is an order first then sit at a table kind of style. We had both ordered the SPICY PORK HOT STONE BIBIMBAP. My friend had also ordered VEGGIE and BULGOGI KIMBAPS to go for her sister as well, meanwhile I had ordered a SWEET BLACK YAKGWA (2 pieces) for us to share. Didn't take too long for our orders to arrive. The SPICY PORK HOT STONE BIBIMBAP of course came in a hot stone bowl, topped with various veggies and the spicy pork. There was a black sesame dressed salad on the side as well as kimchi. Also, there was a small cup with gochujang for you to put your own preferred amount into the bibimbap to mix it up (we used all of it). By the time we had received our orders, the rice had ALREADY crisped up on the sides along the hot stone pot which was GREAT. LOVE crispy rice. The Gochujang wasn't spicy, fairly mild, great for most people. The kimchi was nice, as well as the black sesame dressed salad. The SWEET BLACK YAKGWA was nice and soft. Not too sweet. Didn't have a sugar glaze on top like some other yakgwa I've had in Korea. Maybe imagine a korean styled soft cookie is the texture I got from this one. Overall, good meal. Probably one of the better dolsot bibimbap's I've had in this city, which is surprising. Too bad I don't work on this side of town anymore otherwise I'd probably frequent here more often.

Mary Rose D.

Yelp
Fast food service and good quality of food! The Banchan portions were a little small but enough to be filling. Very clean and chill ambiance for dining in!

Jake V.

Yelp
Finally, a Korean restaurant in Henderson that is not just kbbq! I am so happy this spot opened up. I no longer have to drive all the way to Chinatown for some korean food. This restaurant is located in a big plaza with plenty of space for parking. The interior is compact with limited seating, so when they are busy, you will probably have to order for takeout. [Service] The service was great! Staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Upon entering, I was greeted by the cashier. She was patient with me while I scoured the menu. When I got done placing my order, the main dishes came out in no time. The kimpab I ordered came out at the end of my meal, but that wasn't that big of a deal. The water is self-serve with a refreshing minty lemon taste. [Food] Wow! The food was incredible. So so good! I got the spicy pork meal box, and it came with four side dishes, kimchi stew and rice. The pork had tons of flavor, and all the banchan was phenomenal. The kimchi stew was to die for. The kimchi was the star of the show for me. Best kimchi I've had from a restaurant. Overall, I'll give this spot a solid 4.5/5. I will definitely be back to try out all the other menu items. They also have a punch card available. Every 5th order gets a free vegetable Kimbap.

Ang L.

Yelp
Love the concept but execution could be better. If you're doing "healthy " Korean food , in my opinion you should have actual healthy options . Like the purple Korean rice . But they only have plain white rice, and not sure who cooked it that day but it was hard and chewy . Big no no . The soups all looked fantastic and I'll def be back to try their beef oxtail soup . The Kalbi was too overly sweet for me. For the ban chan you can't chose it is chosen for you .

Jessica P.

Yelp
5 stars for the Kimchi Stew at GUNG CHAE, a new Korean Healthy Kitchen located off of Eastern and Sienna Heights in West Henderson. I visited during their soft opening week on June 26, 2024 for lunch. Grand Opening Day is Friday, June 28th! The cafe is bright with colorful, traditional artwork floating below the ceiling. There are some food models on display (just like in Asia) to entice you to try everything! I almost did that today, but held back. Seating capacity ~20 people comfortably. Probably the most excellent Kimchi Stew I've ever eaten, hands down!! The broth was steaming hot and flavorful, but not too spicy - just enough. The cabbage wasn't as sour. The soft tofu and bits of pork were perfect additions. I thoroughly enjoyed each spoonful with some steamed rice. Small plates of cold kimchi and salad accompanied the meal. Craving satisfied. The Kimchi Stew was filling, but I also ordered the Kimbap (Tuna Mayo) to enjoy later in the day. I did sample a small roll, which I thought could use either some mayo or soy sauce. Definitely needs some sort of dipping sauce for my taste buds to happy dance. Probably could use some more training in the customer service department, as far as welcoming customers in and explaining the menu. But, everyone was friendly. I believe it was the chef who stopped by and asked how everything was. I told her I really love the kimchi!! It wasn't busy when I arrived, but the dining area was certainly full by the time I left. I look forward to returning! I have my eye on the Spicy Cold Noodle and desserts!

Jina B.

Yelp
I've been here twice now. The first time was dining in on opening night and the second time was for takeout. Opening night was a little difficult as it was very busy and they were very clearly still working out some kinks. The restaurant itself is small and definitely geared toward quick service dine-in. You order at the counter and they call out your order when it's ready. Think of K-Town Galleria food court but with much cuter interior. Takeout was a perfect experience. The food is packaged exactly the way you would want all your takeout to be packaged. It's very thoughtful and efficient. It feels like takeout is honestly their strength. Onto the food: Bimbimbap: (5/5) my wife had the hot stone when we dined in and it was delicious but difficult to eat without metal utensils but taste on point. You might want to ask for extra sauce though! LA Short Rib: (5/5) tasted great and wasn't too sweet which I really enjoyed. Also the meat quality was nice and didn't have too much fatty parts Spicy Pork: (5/5) this is the best spicy pork I've had in a while. It was the perfect mix of sweet and spicy and not too greasy! It somehow tasted flavorful and lighter than most other places in the best possible way. Soybean Paste Stew: (5/5) this tasted very homemade. I really enjoyed how clean all the food tasted because I don't feel any MSG hangover after eating it. Soft Tofu Stew: (3/5) this was a little bland for me. It wasn't bad at all just not my favorite. It may be because they promote themselves as healthy so sometimes cleaner flavors will be good and other times can be a bit bland. In this case, it wasn't as enjoyable for me but that very well could be a personal preference. I would encourage people to make their own decision on this one. Cold Noodle Soup: (1/5) I can't say that it tasted bad. It actually just tasted like nothing. There should be a very deep flavor of beef in cold noodle soup. I'm the type of person that will eat half the soup without adding any vinegar or mustard just to enjoy that rich flavor but this one lacked any flavor at all. That being said, I ate this when I was there opening night and they were really busy so it could have just been a fluke. I will likely try it again at some point and give an update. Overall, I'm a huge fan of this place and plan to be a regular customer. It's well priced, clean, with great flavors, and feels like you're eating a home cooked meal. Definitely give it a try!

Lori G.

Yelp
Good was fresh and delicious! Very light and not too salty! Good service. Good was authentically served and presented well!

Kendall L.

Yelp
Glad to find this yummy, quaint & classy K eatery near the hotel I'm staying at. I had Cold noodle with LA short rib Combo B.

Yelp
A new korean restaurant opened up taking over the previous Pinkbox location. A small cozy atmosphere to sit 24 people where you order and pay ahead of time while you relax listening to jazz background music with a mix of modern and traditional korean decor. Ordering the dosirak or the cold noodle combo is the way to go. The plating and the quality of the side dishes is great. The dosirak is plated on a quaint to go container that you just want to bring over. Soy bean soup was on point. Cold noodles was nice and refreshing. Spicy pork is not oily which keeps it in line with being healthy. If you do get the chicken, note that it is white meat if for the fitness people reading this. Definitely a must try.

Yelp
Ordered tofu soup and bibimbob through grubhub. Tofu soup didn't come with rice Meat on bibimbob is so little. I asked for extra gochujang but of course it didn't come with the order. Wasn't expecting much but yeah... never again

Yelp
We got the spicy chicken dosirak and the beef la short rib! Paid about $48 for those two items. It came with rice, the soup (we got the kimchi and the soybean) and banchan of spicy cucumber, radish, fish cake and zucchini. Very flavorful. Rice was cooked nicely (and I'm pretty picky about rice being too soft!) so I appreciated that. There were about 7 or so tables. It was pretty quiet on a Saturday afternoon.

Yelp
Service is good, respectful, sweet. Ambiance is simple, casual with nice coffee/tea cafe music that takes you to France We got their bulgogi hot stone pot bibimbap. Wish they add bit more meat and more veggies for $15.99. Tons of rice in here which is fine, but then make the ratio a bit even by adding more veggies and meat. This bibimbap includes kimchi and side salad and gojuchan. Also wish they included free sides dishes inside of having to purchase a set of 4 different sides for $4 (at least fill the container up). Wish they would provide these free alongside their kimchi and side salad. I do love that the sides are different everyday so that's fun and yummy and interesting. We got their cold noodles last time. Pretty presentation. But it seems like they use regular top ramen seasoning packet as their cold noodle soup. This killed the whole cold noodle dish. I didn't come and give money to have more top ramen flavored food. So this was extremely disappointing and we'll never order it again. This is a horrible first impression unfortunately. However, I am open to trying it again if they ever change the seasoning. I would definitely still recommend this spot. Still yummy. And still healthy.

Yelp
This was my first time here and the food was delicious! I ordered the kimchi stew which came with rice, a side of kim chi and salad. I also got the veggie kimbap, which was quite tasty. The kimchi stew really hit the spot and I can't wait to try the other items on the menu. They have bibimbap, soft tofu soup , kimbap, cold noodles and different meat options like Kalbi. The restaurant is clean and minimalistic. Nigel helped me out and he was very welcoming and friendly! I will definitely be back!

Yelp
Finally had a chance to try this spot in person instead just ordering to go. While waiting for my friend to get here, I enjoyed the Watermelon refresher as suggested by the employee when I asked which of the three flavors she preferred. My friend chose the hot-stone pot spicy pork bibimbap while I chose the mega-box dosirak spicy chicken. Food came out very quickly and that's when I began to question the food and my choices. The chicken was lukewarm but the kimchi stew and rice were up to temp. I didn't know it was set up like it was to-go box set up. That's my fault, however there's no excuse for lukewarm chicken. Other than the temperature, everything about the dosirak was great. I appreciated that their fish cake banchan was soft and tender and not hard like most Korean restaurants in town. As for my friend's hot-stone pot bibimbop, his only complaint was not enough spicy pork portion and wondered why the regular bibimbap that was ordered next to us had egg and why his hot-stone pot version didn't come with one. Overall the food tasted great, came out quickly and tasted great. Hit the whole light and fit they're going for. Will still definitely come back again to try the rest if the food and definitely not order the dosirak set up lol.

Yelp
Visiting from LA so I have a high bar for Korean food. Have to say, this place satisfied my craving! I got the kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and my husband got the spicy pork. We left with bellies full and ended up buying more jjigae and kimbap (Korean sushi) to take home to share with the rest of the family who live here. I love that they also give you some salad and Kim chi on the side. Service was also friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back!

Yelp
Pros: Cute interior with a homey, nostalgic menu that includes dosirak, kimbap, sondubu, and more. The sondubu & hot stone bibimbap were good, and the kimchi was flavorful and fresh! Service was great, everyone was friendly. Cons: the soy chicken and the kimbap were mediocre and lacked flavor. The soy chicken especially tasted like something a bodybuilder would meal prep before their competition (no seasoning or soy). The kimbap had too much rice compared to filling, so it tasted a bit like the rolls you would get pre-packaged at Korean supermarkets. Overall, not the best place to go for authentic, flavorful Korean cuisine (or maybe we simply ordered wrong!) -- but it scratches the itch and offers a nice selection of classic comfort foods.

Yelp
My first time coming here and I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. I ordered the Beef Kalguksu, the broth was yummy and the noodles were chewy and wonderful. I also had the Soy Chicken Bibimbap and the Spicy Pork Dosirak, which was the real star of the show. It was saucy and not too spicy and all the banchan that came with it were fabulous. The space is not too big but it also wasn't very busy so there was a lot of available seating. I'm excited to come back and try other menu items!

Yelp
Great atmosphere and fair prices. The kimbap with bulgogi is very good. The amount served with the taste is well worth your buck. I will definitely be back. :)
