It’s been a while since I’ve had a “first bite” as eye opening as these dishes had me.
Every dish order was so EXCEPTIONAL I wanted to go back the next day.
The fried intestine is INCREDIBLE! CLEAN, FLAVORFUL, CRISPY, OMG MOUTHWATERING.
Typically restaurants would try to keep inventory and costs lower and use the same “accompanying vegetables” but they went to so far to charge the types of peppers should be paired with our next dish…
The fried squid tentacles! It’s almost the same dish it was still so different! For flash fry and then flash stir fry the depth of flavor in the dish is ridiculous
Now for the namesake
GUO BAO ROU
The most popular version of this dish is the Korean Chinese style Tangsuyuk, the same tapioca starch batter, but a traditionally flatter shape and THE SAUCE. HOLY COW RHE SAUCE.
A sweet but EVIDENTLY SOUR dish.
Crispy crunchy sour sweet hot, all sensations that made me question if I ever knew this dish to begin with.
