Gupta's - Indian Sweets and Savouries

Ordered samosas and papdri chaat. Easily the worst I have had. Samosas had no flavour, very bland, no spices, came out like a doughy pasty. Papdri chaat was also bland and not enough yoghurt, chaat masala was just scattered on top meaning it was too salty to be edible in some areas. Menu is cheaply priced, and service is fine but definitely go somewhere else for better food. Sad because I wanted this place to be good, heard a lot about the Indian food on the street.

This place must have had a change of ownership. I have been coming here for 30 years. The pea rolls and samosas used to be the finest on the planet. I was most unsatisfied on my last visit. The beautiful flavors and original recipes have changed and are not the delectable cuisine of past memories. Very nice server though and still good value, but not sure if I'd go out of my way to fill up here again on Indian snacks. Shame.

I visited this place after looking at all Google reviews. I bought 12 samosa and 400gms of jalebis. These were is two separate portions. As it was takeaway, both the items were packed and handed over to me. I brought it home and shared with my in-laws. To our horror, Samosas were too soggy, the filling was too cold and bland. The jalebis were crispy but had smell of stale oil while chewing and swallowing. We tried to finish Samosas but have to bin all Jalebis. I would recommend everyone to try a piece of the item before you buy bulk. I am really sorry to put this review Guptaji. If I were near to you, I would have returned both. Please take care of your costumers.

I visited last week on Friday and had some samosas, Indian sweets and a meal thali which was amazing and fantastic the samosas were very good and properly fried. In thali I took matar panned and chana masala which were pure North Indian taste and the guy there with spectacle were very nice, friendly, smiling serving without arrogance. Overall I suggest everyone to go and enjoy proper Indian food

My one of the most absolute favourite spot in London! Every time I’m in the city, I have to stop by. The samosa chaat here is unbeatable — fresh, full of flavour, and perfectly spiced. The staff are friendly, the place has that authentic Indian sweet shop vibe, and it always feels like home. A must-go for anyone who loves proper Indian street food and sweets!

Disappointing Experience I visited after nearly five years, hoping to relive the same authentic taste and quality I remembered. Unfortunately, it was a big letdown. The samosas were completely off – they tasted oddly sweet, which is not how a savoury snack like this should be prepared. It just didn’t feel like the traditional samosa experience at all. After waiting so long to return, I left feeling really disappointed. Sadly, this visit has put me off from coming back again.

Lovely people in there, place inside looks so tired inside however. I got a load of savoury snacks and heated when I got home. So dry! The sweets are so so. Considering you have Ambala next door, I thought there would be nice competition and was excited to try somewhere different. Go to ambala and don’t regret it! Very disappointed I wanted it to be good.

This place in london has my heart , Their chaats are so lovely and amazing 😍❤️ and super affordable , They have multiple branches too! The best part is you can get indian sweets in just £10 / per kg , I love this place
