The establishment is located near the family pool and clubhouse, where excessive drinking can sometimes create an uncomfortable atmosphere.
When I attempted to purchase a drink, the mixologist, Lorna, refused service, citing a policy that restricts alcohol sales to guests under a certain age—either 25 or 28— I can’t remember exactly, without an ID. I explained that I had left my wallet in my room, as I hadn’t planned to drink, but given that I am in my mid-30s, I didn’t expect an issue. However, I was still denied service.
As a suggestion if such a policy exists, it should be clearly communicated to guests since our rooms can be far away from the family pool/bar area. Lorna stated they cannot sell alcohol to those who are under the stated age, not just those who appear to be, meaning I should not have been refused. While this was a minor inconvenience, it left me feeling unfairly treated.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, though the food and drinks are Disney-priced and somewhat overhyped.
