One of my dad's friends recommended this place to him, and he really wanted to try it. We went for earlier dinner, so the restaurant was almost empty. As a result, the staff were very attentive and super friendly. My dad's wife doesn't do well with spice, so it was nice of them to constantly come to our table and refill our waters when she was struggling to eat the food. The food came out at a decent pace and everything was quite tasty.
To start, we ordered the Potato and Peas Samosas. They were super crispy and PACKED with flavorful filling. There was not one single air pocket in those samosas. In addition, we ordered the Chicken Manchurian, which was also super flavorful with a slight kick, but was a little too sweet for my preference.
For our mains, my dad ordered the Murga Malai Kebab, which is chicken marinated in a creamy garlic and ginger sauce and broiled in a tandoor oven. The chicken was super tender, but the flavor wasn't as strong as I thought it was going to be. However, it still tasted really good. We also got Chicken Tikka Masala and Saag Paneer with a two sides of Garlic Naan. Both of the curries were flavorful and something you would expect from any other Indian restaurant. The naan, however, was one of the better ones I've tried, with the bread being super fluffy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and loaded with garlic.
After a meal full of flavor, we ordered the Rasmalai, spongey homemade cream cheese soaked in milk, almonds, and pistachios, and the Gulab Jamun, cinnamon "doughnut holes" in rose water. While both were good, I definitely liked the Gulab Jamun more because the unique texture and slight refreshing flavor of the rose water.
My favorite place to get Indian food is located in Houston, but when I don't feel like driving all the way there, this restaurant is a good alternative. Their self proclaimed "Best Indian food in Pearland" on their website may possibly be correct.
