We stopped by Gu’s Noodle House in Woodbury after a long day of baseball, and it was exactly what we needed. The restaurant is bright, clean, and welcoming the moment you walk in. Service was quick and friendly, our food came out fast, which was great after a tiring day. I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup, and it was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and the brisket was tender and full of flavor. My son got the chicken katsu noodle soup, which was just as good, crispy chicken with a tasty broth that really hit the spot. Everything about our visit felt easy and enjoyable. You can tell they care about both the food and the experience. We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in the area, a great find and a perfect meal to end the day!

Not enough words can describe how much I adore this place. Down to the kind workers, the fresh ingredients, fresh taste, and beautiful atmosphere, this place is truly a hidden gym in South Jersey! It’s truly hard finding a restaurant specializing in noodles that isn’t across the bride. Definitely worth trying!!!

Very good food. Large portions. Perfect portion of noodles for soup. Never had scallion pancakes before and they were great. They had full chicken wings, that tasted fresh with flavor. They delivered very quickly. Definitely will order from here again.

Food is very flavorful. Nice plate presentation and utensils. Service was exceptional with great recommendations. First time visiting, will definitely not be my last.

10/10 this place is awesome, I just found it by flook, but went here after seeing the reviews and the soup I had was outstanding. I really mean it. Cilantro was fresh and the soup was light but hardy and the chicken was so good. I got fried dumplings and they also were very good. Ill be going back this week for sure. Just called a few family and friends so they could check it out too. The prices are great, places that serve great food like this at a great price should be around for year.

My wife and I had the pleasure of dining on the opening day. She ordered the Beef Noodle Soup and I ordered the Seafood Noodle Soup and we both ordered Pan Fried pork Dumplings. Plus we were given 2 Pan Fried Pork Buns on the house. Food was simply Awesome. The atmosphere was cozy and intimate. Service was on point, and the prices are down to earth. My wife and I can't wait to come back and enjoy such a wonderful restaurant. Check out the photos of our meal. Everything plus our sodas came to under $40.00. You can't beat that.

this place deserves it's near-perfect rating. the food is clearly made with a lot of love and care and so far my two visits have been phenomenal. a real treat to have a store like this around, hope to see them around for a while.

Delicious! I’ve been twice (one takeout, one dine in) and have been happy with everything I’ve tried. The scallion noodles are simple but good and the takoyaki was delicious. My favorite has been the shrimp noodle soup! The broth and noodles were perfect! They did such a nice job renovating the space and the service was quick and friendly.

This is why I'm a Yelper. This place hasn't been around forever but oh, are we Grateful to see them in our neck of the woods, and Woodbury specifically! These noodles are special, they're homemade, and they rock every house. I've had two soups here: the fatty spicy beef noodle and the regular beef noodle. Both were served with succulent chunks and sliced of tender beef and two of the best damn broths you'll ever find. Smell it first. This place is giving pho a run for the (viet) money. I say that as someone who is learning how to make pho at home, it's that important to me to find ways to afford it and I'm not even Asian! Gus Noodle's spicy beef is the only thing that reminds me of my (Jewish) Aunt Doris' beef. Tomato, beef, love, and time. Doris knows, and Gus' knows. Ni hao!? No? Then go to Gus Noodle!

This restaurant was close to our home but never try it out since they opened. We ordered pan fried pork buns as appetizer and three different noodles. All noodles were handmade and prepared fresh with great texture. Love the Pan Fried vegetable buns, which was offered by the chef for FREE. Highly recommend that you come in to try the authentic noodle dishes.

It was raining and I have been curious. Walking in from the damp, dark main roadway of Woodbury you are greeted with a bright welcoming dining area. They certainly designed this Asian eatery to encourage diners to sit for awhile and escape whatever is out in the world. My chicken in chicken noodle soup is delivered promptly with it's aromatics filling the air. A rainy December weekday definitely calls for chicken soup and this is good stuff. There are large slices of perfectly cooked chicken amidst the noodles and broth Now, the menu could be larger and it would be nice to have soft music in the background but Broad Street needs more bright welcoming businesses like Gus Noodle House! As I watched the raindrops hitting the street I drifted into thought having enjoyed my first visit to Gus's!

I like what they did with this space! The interior was totally redone and done beautifully. A wide open seating area with plenty of seating. And a slightly open kitchen that can be viewed from the dining area. It was quite nice to be served on different decorative platters and bowls. The food came out piping hot, with some items given a choice of spice levels. The menu is mainly noodle soups, rice dishes with a choice of meat (not fried rice), and dry noodles in various sauces with a choice of meat. Looks like I won't be driving out of town for noodle soup as often as I have been.

Such a delicious find! I really enjoyed everything and can't wait to try more! Cucumber salad was fresh garlicky and just a hint of heat. Crab ragoons were crispy and had a ton of filling. Dumplings were average. And the house special noodle Soup was rich and flavorful; includes Brisket, sliced beef, meatball and two shrimp. Clean little shop, fast service and no complaints coming from Me!

Came here on a whim but I'm glad we did! The dining area is large, open, and pretty modernized. It's traditional but elevated. The service is great. We went on a week night and were surprised it was so empty. The staff were cleaning the floors at the time but quickly seated us to let us read the menu and order. We ordered the crab rangoons to start, and the roast pork noodle soup with black garlic oil and spicy peanut noodles The crab rangoons were surprisingly good. They were large and the wrapper was wrapped in a way that a stem was present, tied by a thin string of green onion. The filling was standard but the presentation was astonishing. We weren't expecting this at all but it was a welcome surprise. The broth of the roast pork noodle soup was savory and flavorful. You can really taste the depth of the pork broth with the hint of garlic. The broth was just the best part. The noodles are also great and although they don't have the "bouncy" texture of the typical hand drawn noodles I'm used to, they're still satisfying. Also, the roast pork slices were thick! As for the spicy peanut noodles, they featured the same hand drawn noodles but with a spicy peanut sauce. I wish the sauce was a bit thicker so it coated the noodles but it's just a preference. I think the sauce was pretty on par in terms of the peanut flavor and spiciness. It was subdued but still present. For a bill of shy of $30 without tip, I think this place is great and if I'm ever in the area, I'd consider coming back!

Finally got to check out Gu's Noodle House We got the Chicken Katsu Noodle Soup Seafood Noodle Soup Chicken Wings Steamed Chicken Dumplings Everything was fantastic! With the name of a Noodle House, I found them perfectly chewy and bouncy. We enjoyed them immensely. Wings were hot and crunchy. The chili crisp oil on the table drizzled on top Steamed Dumplings were a nice appetizer as well. Will be back to try some other spicy soups as temperatures continue to drop!

Gem of a find in downtown Woodbury. The Takoyaki Appetizer is AWESOME. I recommend all of the Noodle Soups.

food was plentiful & delicious! we tried 3 soups, all amazing & they accommodated me with rice noodles instead of flour based. Also tried sautéed dumplings, cucumber salad & ragoons. Will go back when in the area.

Food is okay.. do not eat the brisket tough as shoe leather. Meatballs are excellent. Service is terrible, dining room had 4 tables & the waiter was nonexistent.. quite the disappearing act. If only do takeout.

I love love love this place! Having a local eatery without much travel for authentic East Asian meals is so rare around the Woodbury area. I personally love their brown sugar boba tea, fried buns and wonton noodle soup! The first time I stopped in, the employees were very neat and friendly. The restaurant was quiet and you could sit down and eat your meal. ( I ordered pickup and Doordash but I absorbed my surroundings. ) I'll be a frequent customer for sure.

We've been there several times and have always enjoyed a great meal. Staff very attentive and friendly.

Gu's Noodle House is a fantastic addition to Broad Street in Woodbury! I was so impressed by the food that I forgot to take pictures. I highly recommend the cucumber salad (and ask for extra cilantro); its "not spicy" order is mild and less salty, yet still has a nice kick compared to the "spicy" option- last time we had it was a little on the salty side. We also tried the 6-piece steamed pork dumplings, but I suggest ordering them pan-fried, as they're more round and doughy than traditional thin dough gyozas. The service is consistently excellent, and the staff is incredibly friendly. The interior is spacious with plenty of seating, good lighting, and brand new tables and chairs. This is our second time at this place and it didn't dissapoint. Gladly keeping this as a staple in our night out routine!

Inside the restaurant you get greeted immediately clearly striving to have good customer service. The food was great everyone at my office ordered different things. Great food and friendly but nice establishment with good service.

The food was amazing!!!! Served fresh and boiling hot just the way I want it. Their service is top notch and the ambience is perfect.

It is great in many ways. Food is very tasty, restaurant is comfortable and clean. Decor is designed nicely, I love the mid century wooden chairs. If you like to have authentic Chinese food, I recommend you goto here.
