We went with the picnic combo -- baby back ribs, smoked chicken, brisket, fries, and mac n cheese. Let's get straight to it: the smoked chicken was the star. Tender, flavorful, and lowkey stole the whole plate. The ribs and brisket held their own, but that chicken really carried the set.
The brisket quesadilla was a sleeper hit. Good pull, but the aioli was the MVP -- added the right richness and gave it that "oh okay" moment.
Fries and mac n cheese were cool, nothing wild. Solid side dishes, but not really showstoppers. You're not here for that anyway.
Now the BBQ sauce? A bit divisive. They offer a few flavors, but I was personally waiting for one with that extra tang or kick -- it wasn't bad, just wasn't the one I'd write home about.
Blueberry lemonade was a nice surprise. Tart and bold -- I ended up cutting it with a little water just to mellow it out, but honestly, it didn't need it. Just personal preference. Either way, it hit.
The spot was clean, including the bathrooms (shoutout to that).
And the service? Top notch. From managers to servers, everyone checked on us without hovering. Refills stayed coming. Wet naps dropped right as we were about to tap out. Timing was elite. It's the little things, and they nailed every one of them.
It's giving: southern comfort with that Beyoncé tour-level attention to detail.
Would absolutely come back just for the way they made us feel taken care of.
