Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

Excellent fried chicken in Long Beach. This place is a world famous for a reason because the flavor of the chicken is fresh and spices are right and not overpowering unlike fast food chicken. I highly recommend it if you’re traveling as a family you get the 8 piece order. Shout out to a friendly staff which is a refreshing and welcome sight in a fried chicken establishment.

Came to the restaurant with coworkers during lunch. The chicken was good. The have some side dishes. The french fries and the fried pickles were a bit salty. There were plenty of parking spaces. The service was great and the place was very clean. Soda is free refill.

One of my favorite spots for the best fried chicken around. The first time was at the location in Los Angeles off of Crenshaw and Pico. This location offers the same menus and same authentic flavors. I absolutely love their fried chicken, chicken strips, baked beans, coleslaw, ice tea, pecan pie and vanilla ice cream. Took my wife and daughter here for their first time and they loved it as well. They have excellent service and make you feel at home here. We will be coming back this is a go to fried chicken restaurant.

Such great fried chicken at this chain restaurant. I have eaten at Gus's in several different states and they are consistently excellent. The chicken is crispy and well seasoned, the coleslaw is creamy, sweet and delicious and the beans are delicious too. The mac and cheese is heavy on the Velveeta so for me not a favorite and the greens were a bit bitter this visit but the chicken is so good I still have it 5 stars!

First time at Gus and it did not disappoint. I ordered the 3 piece dark plate which consist of two thighs and a drum stick. The skin was crispy and spicy while the meat stayed tender and moist. At Gus, they are known for not using frozen chicken and the difference can be easily seen as compared to a chain fried chicken establishment. The plate also has a slice of bread and a side of baked beans and Cole slaw, all tasted good. Plenty of parking available outside and seating available inside in attention to carry out.

The chicken is good. Let’s get that out the way. It’s just expensive. I got three wings and two sides for $17. The mac & cheese is inedible, taste like kraft. Would not recommend. Fries are cool. Just expected to be completely satisfied for $20 take out.

Love the chicken at gus's. Try to call ahead bc they make it fresh and it takes a minute. Also had the potato salad, mac n cheese, slaw and beans. All very good. The flavor of the chicken is always so delicious 😋 service was great even though she was handling several customers ordering as well as phone orders. I got some extra for lunch tomorrow too. Yay.

Amazing, tender and juicy chicken with a kick 🌶. I usually get the three piece white chicken combo with two sides of coleslaw. The combo comes with two sides, but the coleslaw is my favorite. Add a sweet tea and you will be in heaven. The staff are very friendly and always check up on you. I never had to look for them to get refills on my tea. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Long Beach.
