Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken

They call it the world's best chicken for a reason. This chicken is amazing not my first time I'm trying to hit every location that they have. It takes a while to get your order but that's because they're making the chicken fresh. I made a lot of chicken in my life and there is no comparison. The chicken flavors phenomenal I opted for the baked beans and the coleslaw. The coleslaw is also unlike any that I've had at other places but it's phenomenal. I can't say enough about this from start to finish this check it is as good as it gets if you're ever in the area stop in and get it. I drive an hour and 15 minutes one way to go it's that good

This was my first time dining in and this was by far the best fried chicken! It was fresh and hot out the grease. It was crunchy on the outside and nice & juicy on the inside. Shoutout to the Manager Reggie he greeted us, he was nice & friendly, he checked on us throughout our dinning experience, and provided excellent customer service! The sides were delicious as well. We had the mac & cheese, collard greens, potato salad, baked beans, and the fried okra. All there food is made from scratch in house. You won’t be disappointed!

My family and I ate here for the first time yesterday! Wow! What great food and the macaroni and cheese tastes southern made! The cole slaw was very fresh and tasty. I normally don’t like spicy foods but their chicken is great!

Friendly staff, fresh hot and spicy chicken, fried pickles are amazing! Cute quaint place for the family or a chill back date with friends or your lover. This place NEVER DISAPPOINTS!! I had the 3pc dark with mac n cheese & fries. Daughter had 3 wings & fries. We both had lemonade and I had a slice of chocolate chess pie warmed up. You order, pay & tip at the counter even if you're dining in. Parking is just okay, but trying to leave is a hassle because of all the traffic. This location is really good 👍🏾. The fried pickle spears are back and I'm so so happy!

Ok so best fried chicken I've had in a long time.The chicken Is very moist and perfectly fried.That being said, this fried chicken has a slight kick to it. So if your someone who can't do spice this isn't for you. It is not hot it just has a slight peppery kick maybe a 2. It's still worth a trip just for the sides. All of which are amazing. Fried green tomatoes just like grandma made..... The chess pie and the sweet potato pie are both homeruns. Service was awesome. They treat you like family when you come in. Just nice people is all. Had alot of chicken In My day this rates as some if the best.

Juicy, tender chicken. Chicken is lightly battered. It has a touch of heat that even my delicate mouth liked. I was surprised at the juiciness for being a tender. Partners full chicken was equally juicy and tender. Fried pickles and green tomatoes have a crunchier cornmeal breading that is very good. Staff was friendly and fast. Thomas made this first visit shine! Such a nice man. CLEAN and all employees wearing masks! Tables are spread apart for social distancing and I felt very secure eating here. Also pie! Chess pie to die for!

Very Good ! We purchased 2 3 piece with sided and Chicken tender combo. I've been to the original one and a few others in the South and the one in Midtown Detroit. Love the Spice and Heat ! Glad you're in the D! Will be supporting restaurants here in the D! from time to time. Worth the visit if you want to get away from the other chain chicken. This is closer to home style. Excellent!

I've been wanting to try this place since they recently opened. The atmosphere is great, modern with nice little touches that make it fun. The chicken is great, a little spicy but that's the way I like it. I really liked the coleslaw but was disappointed by the Mac and cheese and fried okra. Will be back for the chicken 👌
