I had the most wonderful time visiting this store! Antonella was so kind, knowledgeable, and helpful to guide me to the right items! I went home with freshly made pasta, a Calabrian sauce, and an Italian soda all for under $20! Delizioso!!

I was prepared to be underwhelmed but wow was I wrong! After I waded through copious careful packaging, which insured both the freshness and integrity of my beautiful round of cheese, what was inside exceeded my wildest dreams. American “authentic pecorino” is garbage and nothing like this cheese. This imported cheese is soft, luxurient, mild, versatile and delightfully addicting. I had learned recently that some people in Sardinia, who are very long-lived, use this cheese as a main protein source. So I wanted to try it for myself. I am so glad I did and will be a repeat customer for as long as I and hopefully my long life will be on this planet. The story of the wonderful family farm that produces this cheese while also helping those less fortunate was the icing on the cake. Doing well by doing good in the world has honor and my thanks.

The only reason for 2 stars is I actually got the mushrooms though it took almost 2 weeks. So I had ordered their whole frozen porcini mushrooms. After paying for 2nd day air shipping, and receiving my confirmation, I didn't hear anything about my order for 4 days when they say their processing time is 1-3. Not that big of a deal but when I finally heard about my order they were notifying me that if I wanted to move ahead with my purchase they would require $50 more for shipping. So after upgrading to next day air shipping for an extra $65 they were very prompt at sending out the order. I received them the next day as stated. However when I got them they were half thawed and the bags were dripping mushroom juice. The whole reason to have next day air shipping was to receive them frozen! I think they should definitely rethink their frozen packaging. I live on the East Coast and have ordered meat products that ship from the west Coast and they always arrive frozen even without ridiculous shipping fees. Overall this has been an unfortunate experience and I will need to find another company with which to order my porcini.

It's located on the back corner of the building. Take a right immediately after entering the business park and you'll run right into it. They have a good selection of imported stuff. I pretty much exclusively use their garlic olive oil when I cook. Also one of the guys that runs the place has a dog. The dog is super cool.

The fresh pasta is delicious and the owner is so friendly. She made helpful suggestions for pasta shape pairings and we shared an enjoyable conversation about Italy. I will definitely be returning!

I used their mail order. The marmalade was exactly what I was looking for. The order arrived in a timely manner. I was impressed with the care taken to make sure my glass jars arrived safely. I will definitely purchase from them again!

Google
Finally Italian Grocery! We have found our basic ingredients over here. while you’re living aboard, this kind of shop that help you. The price more cheaper than the Italian shops downtown SD even it’s small but quite good for our needs.

Google
Cute little market to get your Italian ingredients. It is small, but surprisingly has a lot of things. Enjoyed their salami, sauces and coffee. They even had the right olives my husband enjoys. I will definitely go back when in the area. Antonella was a sweetheart and is so helpful.

Yelp
After I returned from a trip to Italy, I needed to buy the proper ingredients for several dishes, and so I returned to this jewel of a store. Originally a wholesale and mail-order operation, Gusto is now open to the public and operates an online store. They sell such essential Italian products as cheese, extra-virgin olive oil, coffee, dried pasta, and the original reason for my visit: guanciale. While they are in an industrial office park off Morena Blvd., if you are in San Diego, finding them is worth the effort. The store is a delight, and so are the people who run it.

Yelp
Gusto is located in a quiet business area not too far from Costco. 4 stars for great parking! I can't review the actual store because it has already closed for the day (I arrived at 12:20 pm). Wish they had their hours more visible. I chased their sign that was set up outside of Costco on Morena Blvd to come here. No hours posted outside of the business. I'll update my review once I actually get to go inside. I am excited to see what they carry! Store Hours per Gusto's website: Online Store: Open 24/7, 365 San Diego Fulfillment Center: Monday - Friday, 9 am - 12 pm, PST. Saturday - Sunday, 10 am - 6 pm, PST. Shop or pickup after normal hours by appointment.

Yelp
What an absolute gem. A little hard to find at first (at least for me), but once you are there, it's Italian Foodie Nirvana! The store is small, but packed with exquisiteness: fresh and dry pastas (excellent brands), amazing assortment of olive oils from several Italian regions, guanciale, pancetta, pecorino from Sardegna, more cheeses, balsamic vinegars, coffee, cookies, and so many more delicacies. Do yourself a favor and go explore Gusto, you will be happy you did, I am. Ciao.

Yelp
This little Italian grocery supply store is a hidden gem. All the high quality basics you need are here and people who work here are friendly and know their products. This is where I will come for all my Italian grocery needs.

Yelp
Super nice and helpful. Small selection but it's a specialty store and they are super helpful!

Yelp
Gusto is a very small Italian Specialty store. They are in a business area down the street from the Costco. There is plenty of parking. Make a note of the suite number to find them. They have a few fresh items in a refrigerated section but most of their items are packaged. They have several types of risotto's that you just add water to the package. There is dry pasta from Italy. It was nice to shop without the crowds.

Yelp
As an Italian this quickly became my go-to store for my favorite imported delicacies. The store is new and has a good amount of products while new ones are adding quickly. Plus the location is convenient with plenty of parking for a relaxing experience, I really enjoyed shopping here.

Yelp
Gusto has the best Italian food products I've tried in San Diego. I'm a member of a cookbook club and one of the recipes we wanted to make called for guanciale - I didn't know where to get it, found gusto online, and when I arrived they helped with ALL the ingredients! They even convinced me on a different cut of pasta that was perhaps better suited for the dish- the cookbook club agreed, they were right. Thanks, guys!
