18 Affordable Restaurants Around Atlanta That Won’t Break the Bank

"AUC students and graduates of the past 20 years are familiar with the college-friendly affordability at this local breakfast and lunch chain. And even after all these years, there’s still plenty of breakfast fare on the menu hovering between $4 and $6, along with cheesesteaks, wings, and burgers under $10. Gut Busters includes multiple Atlanta locations now." - Mike Jordan, Beth McKibben

I haven't been to this location in years. This was a go to breakfast spot for me 13 years ago when they first opened. They use to pile the food on hence their name. My daughter and I grabbed some breakfast Saturday, the place was PACKED! Standing room only people ordering or picking up food. You still get a decent amount of food. I got the bacon breakfast with toast, cheese grits, bacon, and eggs. The bacon coulda been more crispy and not so flabby. But otherwise it was good. My daughter had shrimp and grits, of which she said was delicious, she ate her food in the car before we could arrive back home😒, so i didn't get a picture. They have a variety of food items for very reasonable prices, I will definitely be back.

Food is reasonably priced and tastes great. The portions are big. I also appreciate that they have the thick turkey bacon, since so many breakfast spots dont accommodate non-pork eaters. You should definitely give them a try.

My pal and I went to Gutbusters on Cascade based on a recommendation. I got a #6 (2 Salmon Patties, eggs and potatoes) w a side of French toast. The portion size was GREAT. I was ecstatic to dig into my platter. The first thing I tasted was the potatoes. Not that I am some Potato Guru but I wasn't too much of a fan. The potatoes were COOKED well but it tasted like it was made with either a tomato paste or tomato sauce (which gave it that acidic taste lowkey lowkey). They would have been better had they just used salt and pepper honestly. The eggs were good (it's hard to mess up eggs). The salmon cakes....not anything to write home about. The French toast was the best part...but the butter for your pancakes or French toast is not given in packets like the syrup, but instead is sitting by the cash register in a squeezeable yellow bottle (that everyone touches). My friend wasn't too impressed with his meal either. But, in their defense, they keep a good crowd and they keep it moving as we were not waiting long for the meal to be ready. If you want something quick, filling and affordable, then this is your spot. But if you want a great TASTE....mmmm.....maybe the spot next door would be a better bet (Milk and Honey).

My brother and dad eat there weekly. Last week during my brothers bout with the flu-he could not go out. I ordered food for them. It was great to have it delivered. The website is VERY EASY to use. I didn't have to jump through hoops with passwords and all of the extra...THANK YOUI

I received this restaurant recommendation, this morning for my barber who is in Atlanta proper. I drove 19 minutes and it was well worth it. There were about four people ahead of me waiting to order. They did open an additional cash register. I ordered food for three people and it literally took seven minutes or less. If you were ordering eggs, I highly recommend the cheese eggs. I got the cheese, eggs, with whiting fish and potatoes. I saw a bunch of customers drinking some local red or orange punch. I wanted to try it, but did not. While I was waiting for my food, I saw about 10 to 12 people coming. The order seem to have come out fast for them as well. I would definitely come back when I am in the area again

I came in for a cheesesteak. I ordered a cheesesteak. It was the worst meal I've had in a while. I enjoy food so Im biased. The cheesesteak had grime from the flat top surface mixed in with the meat and cheese. Gritty black grime. It was like they started the grill cleaning process found out they had a cheesesteak order and instead of completing cleaning they just tried to do a quick rinse and push through. I won't be back for a cheesesteak. I probably just won't be back.

Ordered Sweet potato fries and I'm beyond disappointed. Not only was there ZERO salt, they added cinnamon (which I honestly didn't mind) but I feel like I over paid for so small a portion. And can y'all offer ketchup without high fruitose corn syrup??

One star. Absolutely terrible service at Gutbusters. I specifically asked for turkey, and they forced pork on me instead. When I refused to eat it and asked for a refund, they refused. Avoid this place if you have dietary restrictions or expect decent customer service.
