I have never been disappointed. Love this place! I usually have leftovers and most of the time I just eat it in the parking lot at the restaurant… BUT when the food does make it home, whether a day or a week later, the air fryer reheat is just as fresh as the day of. Tortillas literally never get old. Ugh. So good. Whoever is slanging these tacos back in the kitchen… I love you, and I mean that. **I’m usually here on for the Weds. special.. but I finally tried the Birria and figured it’s about time I left a review. Look how juicy 🍋‍🟩

Family owned, large portions for reasonable prices. The burrito I ordered was fully loaded, approx 4lbs for 11.00! Everything my husband and I tried was delicious!

If your going to come here you better come hungry. The huevos montados was great. Quick, fast, delicious. I'll be coming here more often.

This was amazing busy environment. It seems quite popular for the area. The servers were friendly. We ordered the birria pizza. The size was enormous and it was so delicious!! 28$ for the pizza. They also have a food challenge. The monster burrito challenge for 40$. Definitely, I would like to try that next time!

Tremendous authentic Mexican food. Just the best. I enjoyed the Mole Chicken enchiladas. Amazing flavor in every bite and the beans and rice are so much better than what you might be used to at a run-of-the-mill Tex-Mex place. Gutierrez is excellent and run by great people.

Food and service were pretty good. Got the orders right and kept on top of checking up on our tables. All of the meals had good flavor, cooked just right for the type of dishes we all picked, and portions were well worth the price. The only reason for a drop from 5 stars to 4 was the tortillas. They were dry, Maybe a quick steam bath would have freshened them up. Overall a great place to try when in town!

So delicious so hefty. They will treat you right for a great price. It can get crowded but that's how you know the food is worth your time!

Absolute BIGGEST burritos I've ever had! Loved the vibe of the place. Get the birria burrito if you want a life changing experience, and also 3 meals for the price of one! Great horchata too. This is an almost daily lunch stop when I'm in town visiting family. 10/10!

Chips and salsa were very good. Horchata was bomb. Everything is cooked in lard which makes everything taste similar. The food is authentic. The Chile relleno was not battered and there was some raw egg on my Chile. They also attempted to give me a different dish that belonged to the table next door accidentally. The business is owned and ran by a small family with support of workers. The manager was very sweet and tried giving me various options to make up for the Chile relleno. My stomach was turned and I felt a little sick from the strong egg smell on the Chile relleno. My son liked his food and the workers were overall great people. This might have been a fluke. If I lived close by I would return. The manager ended up gifting us the whole bill and the food was free.

Upon entrance I greeted by friendly staff and provided a private table in the corner. The service was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. Now the food.... Oh my goodness I order the guacamole with lettuce and tomatoes, awesome. The hot sauce was perfectly spicy; however, they have other salsa options on the menu for just $2.00. Now if you like Gordita platter absolutely amazing. I haven't had a Gordita this perfect since San Antonio Fiesta. You definitely should try this place for excellent Mexican cuisine!

We absolutely crave the Gorditas. The best we have ever had! We get the steak ones with cilantro and onions. One is all we can eat. The beans and rice are real Mexican.

Authentic Mexican family restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Try the Red tacos with chile colorado, Mexican breakfast including bacon and eggs quesadillas and Huevos a la Mexicana. Place is friendly and has a feel like a Mexican grandmother cooking in the kitchen.

Uh oh, I think we ate too quickly and I no longer have pictures. But this place has phenomenal food. Only hits! Guisado - 11/10, very tender pork. I added some of the house made salsa they gave for the table (absolutely addicting stuff) for a little extra tartness Birria burrito - delectable. The consommé is very flavorful. The cheese is perfectly balanced and the burrito is well toasted. And of course, the beef was tender to perfection. It's very rich, so if you're not ready for a heavy meal I wouldn't recommend it. But otherwise it's delicious! I want to try the mole next time. Can't wait !

This is the second time I have been here. I had to have the full meat breakfast burrito..it's as big as my arm and I'm a full grown ass man! You won't be disappointed with the service or the food, it's a total must try. I had to tap out & take half of it home.

Honestly I went to this restaurant because the good reviews. It was bad!! Every dish looked the same. Mashed beans (refried beans) didn't look good or tasted good. The Rice ok, burritos not so good salty and too much cheese. The Only thing that worth the money was the home made tortilla delicious. The rest not so good..... We need honest reviews please .

We stopped in for breakfast on our way through town. My husband's burrito (meat supreme breakfast burrito was as wide as his chest...see the photo). We both ordered our breakfast burritos smothered. Tortillas were homemade, salsa was very hot and homemade, and the filling was absolutely generous for proteins. I ordered a steak and egg burrito and you can see in the photo how dense it was with steak. Horchata was also amazing. Great and very attentive service as well. All for a very reasonable price. I can see why the parking lot was full.

If I want the best of the real deal Mexican food with a warm family oriented environment, this is it. Great food all around and worth the trip.

I was hungry for soup, so I came to Gutierrez. I ordered a regular Caldo de Res (will not order this again, I think they may have used powdered soup mix) and small bowl of Menudo (good). The waitress was friendly and attentive.

Everything tasted so good and I loved the tortillas served in the side...I ended up getting full off that before I could even start eating my main dish. I'll be back!!!

Everything is amazing. Recently got a fresh Gordita at the art walk and was sad I didn't get more than one.

Came here few times. Welcomes with chips and salsa as you wait for your food. Try out their menudo! 10/10 best in town. Available only on weekends.

The worst service. Drove up and walked inside and ordered 2 shrimp plates and took almost 45 minutes to bring out the food to our car. Poor management! Poor customer service! Just the absolute worst! Will never go back here again. Avoid this place!!

I was visiting the area and was told this was the BEST place. I was disappointed by the dish I ordered. I ordered the pastor with pineapple. The meat needed salt and it was very greasy. When I bit into the first taco, the grease ran down my arm and got under my fingernails. The tacos were made on corn tortillas and the tortillas fell apart which explained why they gave me a fork with my tacos. I won't return again.

If you want authentic...this is the place! The hot sauce is fabulous! The staff is always friendly!

Their flour tortillas are the best I've EVER had. This is an awesome family run restaurant with a great staff. They're crazy busy and all the servers are running around helping each other out. I got the enchiladas, Mexican style, and they were amazing. Recommend going here 10/10 and making it a staple of your life if you live in Wichita Falls. I will be back.

The food here is amazing! My favorite thing in the menu is the Birria Burrito. It's huge and delicious. There's always enough leftover for me to eat the next day as well. They're always super busy (which is the sign of a good restaurant), so you might to need to plan ahead a little. Parking can be a little difficult during the lunch rush, it's a small lot.

Incredible food at amazing prices! I can't saw enough good stuff about Gutierrez!! Every is fresh and oversized! Heaven! I always get two meals out of anything I order!

One of the best steak burritos I have ever had; the spices on the meat was tasty and the beans was cooked to perfection. The Barbacoa meat was moist and tasted heavenly. I live near the Mexico border but the food at the Gutierrez's is way better than 99% of the restaurant in my area. Friendly and attentive service. The place is not in the best part of town but this has made my top places for lunch in Wichita Falls! So fellow yelpers don't hesitate to visit this lovely, family owned restaurant.

They're so good! Had birria, chicharron, carnitas, and carne asada tacos; a supreme carne asada burrito; and carnitas and carne asada gorditas, all to-go. The salsa they included were also really good!

This locally owned restaurant is amazing. The service was great and the food was better. This is the real deal folks, Mexican food as it should be. Just about everything is homemade, from the salsa to the tortillas, to just about the entire menu. They do have their own food challenge, for those who are feeling really, really, really hungry. It's a seven (7) pound burrito with everything, well almost everything, in the kitchen goes into this monster. Finish it in 45 minutes and it's free, you get a t-shirt for your efforts. I will warn you of the following, consider sharing a plate. The portions are generous, do not underestimate this. If you don't want to share, you'll have at least one more meal, if not two, in left overs. Shout out to the staff who are friendly and ready to answer your questions and made visiting this diamond in the rough a treat.

Can't say enough about this place. Not fast food and worth any wait time. Food absolutely delicious, big portions, creamy beans, guacamole fresh and fantastic, friendly and inviting staff, worth every penny. Can't wait to try some other dishes. Cooks are amazing. Best kept secret in town. Not fancy and it doesn't need to be - didn't see one fly and felt very safe.

I am originally from California where Mexican Food is King!!! Someone recommend this place as "Authentic Mexican Food". The service was fair, we got stuck in a corner with a tiny table. The iced tea was flavorless and weak, the tacos were greasy, the rice was bland, and the beans tasted weird. On the good side, the tripas plate was crispy and tasty. Not bad for the average person, but for me (my mom was from Durango) It was not worth it.

Had the Birria tacos, they were outstanding! Consome was perfectly seasoned and the salsa was very good. Definitely spicier than you'll get at most places which was fine with me!

Fresh, classic Tex-Mex, served by a friendly staff who had customers laughing and joking together. Friendly family atmosphere. Food served quickly and was delicious. I had the chili relleno burrito with rice and beans. The chips and salsa were delicious.

So I'm supposed to consider food, service and ambiance. The food is SO GOOD! The service is good (it's usually a very young person so give em a break). The ambiance... that's what the one star short of 5 is for. It feels like you're sitting in a converted garage of your abuela's house in 1970. Don't go here looking for fancy. Go here because it's delicious. Birria tacos or chicken mole. If you're super hungry, get a burrito. They're delicious and ginormous!!

If we lived here we would eat here multiple times a week!! Everything was delicious and the staff was so sweet and attentive. You can't go wrong!!

The staff was professional and friendly. The food was delicious, I ordered about 8 meals to go for my team and they had everything organized and labeled for us when I arrived. Breakfast burritos and quesadillas are sooooo good! Can't wait to try something more food here!!!

We just had our first visit to this local restaurant and cannot say enough good things about the food. Everything was tasty, even the tortillas they served with each meal. They were hot, fresh, and the size of your head! We had enchiladas, tacos, a quesadilla, and an order of fajitas at our table. Everybody loved everything they had. Our waitress was incredibly patient, even though she was busy, she took the time to go over the menu since it was our first visit. They serve sodas in a bottle, and they have Mexican Coke. We will definitely be visiting again.

Wow, this is the definition of a hole in the wall that has the absolute best food. Do not let the surrounding area turn you away from eating here, you will not regret. To start off, when you walk in, it's a very small compact area with some tables but the place is PACKED. However, we got seated right away! It's a family restaurant and the whole family works there, they're the sweetest group of people. They are extremely attentive and nice. I got the Red Enchilada meal with two enchiladas, beans and rice with some lettuce and tomato on the side. It was absolutely amazing. I also got a side tortilla with it and this was hands down the BEST part of my meal. The tortillas are huge and hand made by the mom. I normally don't like plain tortillas but they were seriously amazing. My husband got a burrito with beef, eggs, potatoes and onions. He loved it, it was HUGE. The chips were delicious but beware the salsa is very spicy! We will definitely be coming again. Amazing food and service!!

Best part of being on a road trip is exploring food in the neighboring places. This small old house looking place is very misleading from outside. When you get inside the whiff of salsa and yummy food is enough to get you excited on what to order. The staff was so kind and helpful explaining the menu to us and sharing some ideas for addons. Meanwhile we were served some crispy nachos and super spicy house made salsa. Although I was tearing up at every bite, it was so tasty I couldn't stop eating. My husband landed up finishing the entire bowl and was ready to ask for more. The service was so quick that by the time we were done with the chips and salsa, the chicken quesadilla was ready. And omg it was such a large serving size with so much rice and beans. I enjoyed every morsel of it and was sad I couldn't finish. My husband had the chicken Fajita which was so big, spicy and oozing of amazing flavors. Honestly I found it amazing. I will recommend this place to all who are passing by this area and definitely try the menu varieties. I will surely visit this place again if I get a chance!

Checked out the yelp reviews before stopping here. Was in the mood for good Mexican food, my husband is currently at Sheppard AFB so we have been trying different places in the area. We were already prepared for the "sketchy" hole in the wall place, it was in fact a family owned hole in the wall place, however the food and portions were amazing, especially for the price. If you cannot handle spice I would recommend a breakfast burrito but if you can handle a little spice I would recommend the rancheros. The service was good and everyone was friendly. Would highly recommend if you are in the area.

service was bad. food was just ok. none of the food came out together. charged extra for sour cream and cheese for the fajita. we had to ask for silverware. waitress never came back to the table had to go up front to get check.

Arguably the best Mexican food in Wichita Falls. They are always busy and seem to do a lot of takeout orders, but we didn't have to wait too long for a table during the weekday lunch hour. While they were busy, our server was still very friendly and attentive. The menu is quite extensive and can be overwhelming on your first visit, but it doesn't seem like you can go wrong with any dish. I had the quesadillas, which came on an absolutely delicious tortilla. My dining partners had the taco lunch special and one of the burritos. They were very accommodating with a request to make the burrito vegetarian - we really appreciated that! Everything was flavored well and authentic, with large portions - we got boxes to take leftovers. You pay at the cash register when you're done.

We are from out of town, but we make special trips to Wichita Falls just for Gutierrez. We've ordered several different things and have never been disappointed. My go-to is a chicken quesadilla (the homemade tortillas, the cheese, the perfectly seasoned chicken... yum) and my husband loves the green Chile verde. End with a cup of horchata to-go. They get busy on weekends and can the building is small, so plan for a wait. But it's worth it!

Long lines and a full restuarant on labor day lunch time. However, we ordered to go and only waited 10 minutes. Free 1 refill on their agua frescas is a plus. The burritos are huge, took me 4 diff meals to finish it all! The nachos supreme was full of meat and veggies and avocado (not guacamole but sliced avocado!!!).
