We skipped the food as we stopped in during the taco festival, but holy awesome service Batman! Victoria (maybe Veronica?) and Brie were awesome bartenders. Very fun and personable. Kept us in margaritas 🍹 and were an absolute joy! Looking forward to going back. What food we did see looked amazing. Everything was beautiful and really made us want to try it. Go say hi to the ladies at the bar and have a jello shot!

Google

Google
Food was absolutely amazing- Kelly was helpful with menus and drinks. Told us a lot about the area and recommended places to go. She also got my friend and I some Jell-O shots!

Google
The service sucked on a Saturday night at 6:45pm. The waitress came to ask us if we needed anything else when one person had say 20 minutes without food. One person never got their drink. And the food was just okay. And the bathroom seats were not attached to the toilets.

Google
This place was AWESOME! Some of the best tacos I have ever had and the drink selection was so fun.

Google
Guacomale and nachos were good. We tried chicken, beef, fish tacos. I was expecting better taste. Service and atmosphere is good.

Google
Great food, great service at the bar seats. My pouch drink was fabulous while bf enjoyed a top margarita. My new to go spot before concerts!

Google
This is such a great place to eat. I had the pork tacos and the fish taco. Both were excellent. The others had a skinny burrito and they said it was so tasty. We also had an order of guacamole & chips, which were very good and plenty for 4 people. Our server was amazing, she didn’t even write down the order & got it right. I was very impressed and she continuously came to check on us. I will definitely be going back when we are in town.

Yelp
This is the third time I've been and I love it every time! I got their al pastor tacos this time and they're soooo mouth watering. Their drinks also never disappoint-- definitely get their margaritas. And the vibe is also so fun The server (Sara) was also SO attentive and kind! I will definitely keep coming back here. Great hangout spot and fantastic food.

Yelp
Bartender was one of the rudest people i have ever met. Tried to excuse her rudeness with the restaurant being busy.. well don't work there if you can't handle the pressure?? Then her partner came over with a fake ass "sorry." Literally horrible customer service!!
google avatar

Camille N.

Yelp
I can't say I really enjoyed my meal. My server, Sarah was extremely pleasant and her professionalism and attentiveness was great. The menu had a limited selection. Though I thought the beans and rice was good, it could have had more beans and cheese on top. I didn't care for the tortilla shell the Mahi Mahi tacos were in so I simply ate out the inside leaving the shell. My margarita was absolutely tasteless, I added more simple syrup but I think it was the tequila that wasn't good. The atmosphere was okay but not something that wowed me. Will I back? Probably not'

Yelp
I've been to a lot of restaurants Guy has been to and reviewed, but this was my first time at one of his restaurants. I sat on the patio during my recent visit, and most of the tables had trash on them from previous customers. People were trying to bus tables themselves and putting everything on a smaller table by the door. After we did the same and used a couple of napkins to wipe our own table, my girlfriend and I took a look at the menu. We decided on 2 al pastor tacos, 2 carne asada, and an order of 4 of the quesabirria tacos. To start, we got the chips and guac. We got 2 house margs as well. I had a bit of a sticker shock when after all taxes, fees, and a tip that the bill was almost $90. That seems super high for a place where you have to go up to the bar to order food and drinks and clean off your own table before you sit down. When the food arrived, I was pretty disappointed. The tacos were very small. The portion of chips and guac was fine. I really liked the chips, they seemed very fresh and made in house. The guac was also good and tasted fresh. When I dug into the tacos I thought they were nicely made and tasted pretty good, but I shouldn't leave a place with "dive" and "taco" in the name and leave hungry after dropping $90. Typically at a taco shop, 4 tacos per person is plenty of food, but these were like 2 bite max tacos. Overall, I left hungry and felt fleeced. Probably not a place I will be going back to any time soon.

Yelp
Waitress was amazing. The decor is cool very casual and seat yourself . The food was really really tasty! Not very big portions at all but good flavor. 20$ pitcher of Marg is probably best drink deal
google avatar

Yelp
Great service. Artistic decorations. I asked waitress to order me her favorites. Great choice with a cheeseburger taco and the carne asada taco. Great flavor.
google avatar

Kriti S.

Yelp
The serve yourself system here was interesting. Not sure if I'm a fan of it. As for the food, the chips and guacamole were a bit too salty for my liking. I did enjoy the tacos and empanadas, though. For a place whose advertising relies on a food celebrity, it was somewhat disappointing. I agree with what's mentioned in the other reviews about how the quality of the food just didn't meet expectations. This is not to say that the food was bad; it just wasn't anything special.

Yelp
I would not normally give four stars to chains in busy areas in power and light, but we came for a hot country night concert that you had to pay for/sold out. They were already semi busy when we got there but we had not eaten dinner yet. We stopped in and we were seated and served right away. We were able to order and the server was attentive and did not rush us. The food came out at a good pace while we sipped on our beverages. The food was fresh and hot. My only complaint is the serving size for the price. It is expected to be a little bit more expensive being in power and light. Otherwise the experience was decent. I did also grab beverages from there as the concert was in full attendance periodically and those took a long time to get, but again as expected.
google avatar

Erica C.

Yelp
The food was decent but nothing special for the price that could not be bought at a small town restaurant. The service was slow and took a long time to get food ordered for not being busy. Three tables around us were covered their food and their tickets paid and they arrived after our table. The restaurant itself was in a great location and a comfortable atmosphere.

S H.

Yelp
I had high expectations and have high respect for Guy F., but not at this restaurant. Service was OK. Food so so. Ordered cheese quesadilla and it was gross--way toooooo much cheese and was greasy. I ordered it with no cilantro, sour cream or guacamole and guess what it had on it???? Tacos and flautas were ok. Will not go back.

Yelp
One star out of 100. If I was Guy's dad I would disown him for putting the family name on this establishment. It was a slow Saturday night in December and service was slower than guys fashion. Named 3 beers they were out of each. Asked of an old fashion, bartender could not make one. The Dolce de Leche was a dried out piece of white cake with Carmel on it. After eating here I question everything I have ever seen on triple D and Triple G. Go support a local restaurant.

Yelp
We were going to be in KC for a few days and Guy Fieri's restaurant was on the list as it was not too far from our hotel. The location of the restaurant is in the power and light district and does not have a lot of parking, but I was able to find a parking spot up the street that wasn't too far of a walk. We decided to go on Tuesday night to try the tacos! Honestly, I thought it would be a lot nicer given that it is Guy's restaurant, but it was just ok. We all ordered tacos and they came in pairs wherein you could not mix & match, so I ordered two cheeseburger tacos and two Fajita Rajas tacos. The tacos are very small, like they look like they should be on the kid's menu, that's how small they were. My friend ordered carne asada tacos, so I gave her one of my cheeseburger tacos for one of her carne asada tacos. I was disappointed, the only taco that was crunchy was the cheeseburger tacos, the others were very soggy and were not very flavorful. I would recommend the cheeseburger tacos as they were very full of flavor, and the shell was crunchy. For the size and quality of the tacos, I thought we overpaid greatly, it was pricey! The service was good throughout our time there! Unfortunately, I had to use the restroom while there and it looked like a tornado had ripped through it. The soap dispenser that should have been on the wall was on the sink and it just was not very clean. I ended up ordering two cheeseburger tacos to go since I didn't like the others and was still hungry. I wouldn't return for any tacos except the cheeseburger tacos.

Yelp
Wow! This was fantastic! The food was full of flavor, we had exceptional service and this with a packed restaurant as there was a concert at the Sprint Center. The trash can nachos are so good and the carne asada fries are delicious, too! I'd get both of them again! The tacos are small and packed with flavor, making them easy to share! The margaritas are delicious, too!

Ella L.

Yelp
Food runner was very rude. I asked for ranch and she said they don't have any as she walked away. It's not even that busy. Just rude to be honest like why can't you have a conversation with me I was going to ask for ketchup. Blonde hair with cuts on the bottom of her shirt. I'm just annoyed right now. But seriously do better with the customer service. Good drinks and fries tho.

Yelp
We've been trying to get to guy Fieri's Dive in taco shop forever! Everytime we went there was some event and we could never get parking. Finally, we made it and you know what we were surprised it actually didn't disappoint! We thought maybe it was a lot of hype but you know we really enjoyed the fun atmosphere , friendly servers, and the food. The Birria tacos and pizza were delicious and something different. We loved that they even had gluten free menu items to take home to see our celiac daughter. All in all we would be definitely stop here again. We would check the schedule for events or concerts so we can find parking.

Yelp
We ate at the location in KC it was a very good atmosphere and the food we got was very good and service was fast and nice
google avatar

Starlyn L.

Yelp
My fiancé and I just moved to KC from PA and we just had to try out Fieri's taco joint and it did not disappoint. We loved the lively atmosphere and the fact they have a live DJ that plays there. The servers were very consistent and the bar tender very knowledgeable and so sweet. We definitely plan to come back here again. GO CHIEFS!
google avatar

Miranda S.

Yelp
Food was really good and very filling. I got the carne asada fries and I couldn't even finish it because I was so full from breakfast but it was still really good and I don't like much Mexican food since I'm not a spicy eater. Service was really good but also went after the lunch hour so it wasn't terribly busy. The atmosphere is super fun, we came the day after Halloween so it was still pretty decked out for that which was super fun.

Gloria M.

Yelp
Sara was an excellent waitress, the food was great, and the vibe was exactly what we needed for a birthday dinner.

Justin I.

Yelp
Great food and Lindsay was great she was very helpful even being understaffed. Clean and nice music great place to eat and relaxe.
google avatar

Samantha R H.

Yelp
The main complaint lies in the amount of seating/space available. The food was amazing and well-seasoned. It seemed like they made their own tortillas/shells in house and that was a major plus ! We also tried the cheeseburger and chicken fajita roja tacos which were both really good! It would be better if you could mix and match your tacos considering you get 4 per order, but we went on event day so it may be possible to do so when they're not working on a limited menu - if not, that would also be a great thing to add to the menu! We had outdoor seating and our waitress came very quickly (which was really nice considering how busy they were and how it's "seat yourself" seating). Also, it was pretty cold and weirdly misty out, but they had propane torches outside to keep everyone warm so it was overall a great experience!

Yelp

Yelp
I took the biggest upper decker at this location. It was aaaaa mazing !!!! I had to use like a whole roll of paper but so worth it !!!! Food is amazing bathrooms now smell like death.

Yelp
Walked into Guy's cause we wanted a quick bite and a few drinks. We ordered trash can nachos and it was alright nothing that stands out. We also ordered the margarita flight and my favorite one was the frozen margarita! Though the food was alright I had hoped the service would have been better. Service was mediocre - pretty sure the server forgot about our table cause we put our initial order with the bartender. Overall, going to guys was okay but it doesn't pop out for me.
google avatar

Dody E.

Yelp
This place does not deserve the low reviews. Is it out of this world? No, I think it could be improved, however for what it is, where it is, and how it tastes - we found it to be really good! The shrimp Diablo taco was our favorite. Very flavorful. The service too was very kind, and prices good. The vibe is also great! Definitely give it a shot.
google avatar

Taj W.

Yelp
FLIES!! Short staffed and not sure why there is a trash can in the middle of the section but I feel like their place dies on the weekends when there aren't events at the T-Mobile/Sprint Center. Food came out fast but the menu is super selective so I was not expecting gourmet wait times. It's a Dive Bar so short and simple is the game plan. We tried the Diablo Shrimp Taco, Chicken Fajita Tacos, and the Sliders that weren't chorizo. They were out of Chorizo
google avatar

Caroline M.

Yelp
The food was super good here, however pricey for what you get. Of course it's in the power and light district so it's a given it's gonna be pricey, but we honestly left still a little hungry and for the tab being that high we weren't super pleased with that. Service was a little slow but they were busy and I used to work in the service industry so I get it, but it was at least 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. It wasn't a bad experience, as I said the food was good but I just wish you got more for the prices.
google avatar

Yelp
Lindsey was dope! Pull up for a good time this place is littty tou will bot regret it

Yelp
I am absolutely obsessed with the cheeseburger tacos! Plus sit on the patio and catch a show at KC Live!

Yelp
Tacos- poppin Asada fries- poppin Even the salad!- poppin The food was better than I thought it would be. Very flavorful and fresh! Space is perfect for tacos and tequila on any occasion. Whether you want to watch your favorite game or just come have good food with the family, it's a great space for both. We got the margarita flight. They could've been a tad stronger. But each were delicious! Our waiter was great! We never had to ask for refills and he continuously came back to check on us.

Yelp
Fun lively place right at Power and Light. We stopped in for dinner on a Saturday night. Not as crowded like other nights. We found a table and was served right away. I ordered 2 different type of tacos. It was fabulous. Service was great.
google avatar

Yelp
Let's be honest, if guy Fieri's name wasn't on here and in a prime location this would have been closed a long time ago. First things first, the food is actually good. Make no mistake. Portion size is a bit small, but still good. The staff is what ruins this. The staff, and the confusing business model. We came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and one awful employee stands out in particular. Firstly, all the signage is saying "do it yourself, go to the taco stand." Fine, except there is no clearly labeled taco stand. In fact there might not even be one, nobody seems to know. Just two bars full of employees who will not look you in the eye and seem completely disinterested in having anything to do with their customers. Throughout our lovely time here I watched 15-20 potential customers walk in, look around confused without any staff greeting or assisting, and then leaving for this very reason. We are visiting for a weekend getaway and stumbled upon this place. We figured we'd stick it out just to say we've done it. We went inside, waited 15-20 minutes since apparently they will actually come and take your order at the indoor area. Nobody came. And there was nowhere for us to go. Once impatience crept up we finally managed to stop someone, a middle aged white woman who I will affectionately refer to as "Karen." Who knows what her name is, but it should be Karen. She appeared to have possibly been the manager, I don't know for sure and sincerely hope this is not the case. She had an awfully rude demeanor and seemed annoyed that we had the absolute audacity to stop her from her pseudo-busy pacing about the place. The restaurant was not busy. She gave some silly excuse that the waitress was talking to another table and she herself couldn't help. Like, ok, go get her. There are literally 3 occupied tables and no waitress to be seen. Since she was too busy to assist us, she continued on to park her lazy butt behind the empty bar and fiddle with her phone. Finally a waitress came. Very sweet but completely inattentive and perhaps not too bright. I will not go into further detail regarding her appearance as she was nice and I do not want to jeopardize her employment. Any of her faults I can safely attribute to what I am assuming was her rude, careless manager. I had my eye on her the entire time, she checked on us once after our food came out and then we did not see her again. She would go into the back and hide. We waited 30 minutes after we finished eating for the check to come. For anyone to check on us. We finally had to get up and retrieve our own check somehow. The only one available was "Karen" from earlier. My girlfriend went to the bar, stood there looking at her for 5 minutes unassisted. Finally she asked to be helped, to which this woman responded "wait." Finally she got to her, the check was asked for, and this woman had no clue where it was or who we were. Finally she just said to call our waitress, who after being beckoned scurried out from the back room and took care of it. Finally. Terrible service, awful and confusing business model, good food. Yes, good food, but without the first two you're nothing. If this place wasn't riding on the flames coming out of guy Fieri's *** it would not exist. There are plenty of other good restaurants in this town, this is one to avoid. Go take a picture with the sign before they get shut down, then go eat somewhere that knows how to run a restaurant.
google avatar

Richard F.

Yelp
This place is absolutely shit without Kelly. I'd give it zero Stars if it wasn't for her. If Kelly isn't running this place soon, it's going to absolute shit.

James H.

Yelp
First off, let me say that I have been to some bad restaurants but none have I ever said, "I will never go back". This restaurant I can actually say, "I will never go back". First off, we waited 15 minutes for a server to even talk to us, only to be told "thanks for your patience" and they walked off. We then finally ordered drinks and food at the same time, and after another 10 minutes passed, we were then told that what we ordered could not be done because the menu hasn't been updated. They blamed Guy Fieri, haha, and then our new order was placed. We then received our food in a timely manner. We ate and the food was mediocre at best and the drinks were average at best. The issues didn't stop once we got our food. We then received our bill and found it to be almost double in price of what we should have paid. The server didn't ring up the right items and it was clear she had no idea what she was doing with the check. She even told us we couldn't split the check. Never have I been told that. She corrects the check to her knowledge and returns, only to find the check is wrong again. She then says she is going to comp the items that were wrong. She then returns with a new check and it is now more expensive than it originally was. I explain to her for the fourth time, the issues on the check and she blames the manager. Well look who walked up, the manager. I explain to the manager of the issue but she doesn't seem real concerned. She takes the check and then returns with another check for the 5th time. I look over the check, only to find it again had items we did not order. She then returns with another check and she explains she is starting to get "pissed" at me because we have yelled at her server and at her, the manager, which didn't ever happen. She explained that her server was stressed because of she was on her own. I explained to her that this issue was her fault as the manager. She didn't say much after that and returned with a check which I paid. I would strongly recommend anyone interested in eating out in this area, to find another location. This place is not the one. I follow Guy Fieri on social media and watch lots of his shows and I know he would be disgraced by the service his restaurant is providing.
google avatar

Jodi V.

Yelp
Great tacos and Mexican corn salad! The drinks were just ok and the service was lacking.
google avatar

Maury R.

Yelp
Fun place. It's what you'd expect if you've been to Guy's places before. I had the Diablo Shrimp Tacos. They were very good. The corn tortillas held up well. The shrimp was cooked well and complimented nicely by the pickled red onions and chipotle aioli. The heat crept up on the back end around the middle of taco#3. Perfect! The 4-taco basket is just right, satisfying, but not too much. The drinks were much pricier than the food, but I'd definitely recommend this as a great lunch spot or drinks and light dinner place.
google avatar

Andy B.

Yelp
This is a tough review. The service was awesome and so were the tacos. The new lace is super cool and the music is awesome. It's a chill place I'm comfortable in, I like it here a lot. I also ordered chicken tortilla soup. It was not good at all. Let me explain a little more if I can. The flavor was on point but it was ice cold and served in a trashy cardboard cup with a ton of crunchy "tortillas" on top. I feel like someone takes a lot of time to cook and freeze the components properly and then some cook at night doesn't care and microwaves it not to temp. They ruined a potentially game changing soup. Since the flavor was amazing, I'm not too harsh against the laziness of one chef. The tacos ruled. The service was good. The spot was chill. Just avoid the soup and save yourself $7.
google avatar

Denise G.

Yelp
First time here and likely won't try again. Good location with lots to do around however the parking situation is limited unless you pay. I was excited to try this since I'm a big fan of Guy's Triple D show. The inside is fun and spacious. The staff were friendly. We stopped in on Sunday and there were barely anyone inside. The disappointing piece is the food. The menu is very limited. We ordered the tacos and they were street tacos which was not spelled out in the menu. I did like how you can split your order and get 2 chicken and 2 beef tacos. The only hot sauce offered was Tabasco, Tapatio and Cholula. The tacos flavor was OK - nothing special. For $3.50 extra you can order the tacos as a platter which means it comes with beans and rice. They were served in a side cup. The flavor was great though.
google avatar

Haley J.

Yelp
Eh. If it didn't have Guy's name on it this place would probably be closed. Everything is just meh. Service was fine, tacos were fine, the trash can nachos PASS, $15 for like 10 chips with a ton of beans sour crème and cheese. This restaurant is inside Power & Light so parking is terrible.
google avatar

Shelby G.

Yelp
Fun place to sit and drink while waiting for a show at the arena or KC Live. We ordered a margarita flight, salad, and tacos. All were decent. Service was good. Only hang up is that you have to find a seat yourself and that can be tough when it's full.

Oscar P.

Yelp
Rachel was such a sweet heart I didn't know what I wanted n she recommend us a sex on the beach . Thank you for the drinks . The best bar tender ever thanks again
google avatar

Sydney B.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in for a light lunch. We seated ourselves at the bar and were greeted kindly. We ordered the Carne Asada Fries. The portion size was perfect to share and they were absolutely delicious. Overall we had a great time here and would stop in again.

Wendell J.

Yelp
We had a great time this evening. All thanks to Lindsey! We will be back! My family was in town for the first time in years, Lindsey took great care of us.

Travis L.

Yelp
Atmosphere 4/5. Steak burrito was small but full of flavor 3/5. Chips and salsa 1/5 (needs a good makeover. Salsa has way too much garlic with not very much flavor. Chips are way too hard. Kind of hurt the teeth) margaritas are a 2.5/5. Flavor is not there but color and presentation bring up the grade. Overall the experience was a 3.5/5. Waitress was very friendly and fun to talk to. She deserves the world. The chips, salsa, and entrees could all use an upgrade!
google avatar

Yelp
Such a fun & chill spot! We noticed this joint while hanging out in KC Live! I was thrilled to try it out and we were not disappointed! Our nachos were absolutely delicious (why have I been sleeping on pickled onions?!) and the drinks were great too! The service was prompt and good.
google avatar

Trina H.

Yelp
I hate to leave negative reviews but this is quite possibly the worst food I have had in a very very long time and I am normally a huge fan of Guy Fieri restaurants. Ordered the burrito, looked great when it showed up though it was on the smaller more appetizer size of menu items. Burrito was to have a taquito in the middle so I expected a little crunch, it was so over fried and dried up I was unable to bite into it. Tried to eat around it and make the best of it but it was just basically guacamole and salsa slaw. While the food was terrible, kitchen was a little behind, took over 40min to receive my item. Staff were friendly and attentive and I could tell felt terrible but it is what it is.

Yelp
Awesome service this weekend for Big Slick with Kelly and the tacos were amazing!!! Will be back for sure!!!!

Akanksha G.

Yelp
A fun hangout spot with amazing food!! I came with some friends for dinner and conversations, and the first thing I noticed is that there's a free karaoke spot in the back. As the vibe was pretty casual, I felt comfortable singing couple songs despite being a dreadful singer. It was the perfect low key alternative to clubbing in the Power and Light area. I ordered a mix and match for the 4 tacos - 2 Achiote Chicken and 2 Diablo Shrimp. Oh. My. Gosh. Every bite was absolutely packed with flavour, I'm not even sure where to begin. The crunchy coleslaw with the tender meat. The cool, mild sauce with the spice from the meat. I wasn't even that hungry when I came, and yet I devoured them all. Guy Fieri's is probably my favourite restaurant in the downtown area now, and I can't wait to be back!

Yelp
Bottom line: it's a good spot to scratch the taco itch! The service was relatively quick, the food was decent, and the vibe on a Friday afternoon was good. However, I don't recommend the Mexican rice. A bit dry and plain for my taste. Venue: located in the Power and Light district, this place is uniquely positioned and located for a lot of people to run into it. (Sometimes literally). It has relatively lots of space and can accommodate various large parties. Multiple bar tops, table tops, tables, and back area patio for you to spread out. When this place does fill out, I can see how the service can be a bit slow as other reviews have mentioned. This establishment definitely has great decorations and environment, which makes it feel you've been transported to a small beach town in Florida or a southern coastline. The vibe is good. Food: I got the Guacamole and tacos (mix and match for about $12). The price was reasonable. I enjoyed the guacamole a lot more than I enjoyed the tacos. While the tacos were aesthetically pleasing, one ingredient on each taco took was overwhelmingly strong (guacamole, radicchio, corn tortillas, avocado, etc). The taco bites weren't well balanced and I reached for my drink often to wash the palate down (perhaps that's the business strategy?). The guacamole was decent and the chips were really good. It's a great starter that will nicely pair with a cold beer. Service: relatively quick but there were only a handful full of people inside the bar area and it was on a Friday afternoon. The bartender was wearing two hats as server and bartender so take that for what it is. Overall: not bad and will probably try again. It's a good place to get your tacos on but it's definitely not on my top #5 places to visit while visiting Kansas City.
