Guzé

Guze is the best restaurant we tried during our 4-day trip in Malta. The dishes are adventurous compared to the other restaurants and were well executed. The flavours worked harmoniously and I must say the price was extremely reasonable. I think this restaurant has potential for one-star if the team keeps up the good work.

A very friendly welcome, great atmosphere, helpful service and delicious food. My companion had steak and I had butternut squash based vegetarian dish. Everything you could want for a special evening.

Fantastic. Beautiful food. Was absolutely stuffed at the end. We had the tasting menu with the wine pairing and there was enough explanation without being given a lecture at each course. Great staff and made us feel very relaxed. Loved it!

A nice experience with delicious food. We really enjoyed the octopus and the fish pasta for the starters. The main ribeye steak and meagre fillet were also tasty. The staff were attentive and helpful.

Very cosy and comfortable restaurant few yards from touristic busy streets in a quiet historical location. Friendly and professional staff, thank you! Lamb was amazing as well as cheese cake. Recommended!

I really liked this place. Service was great front of house staff was very attentive . I I ordered the tasting menu. All 5 courses were good , with two being outstanding The goat cheese was amazing . Decadent creamy texture with just the right amount of tang. I would have to liked to see the goat cheese to have appeared again during the dessert course. The rabbit was also an outstanding course. Technically perfect in all of the variations. The only minor complaint was that the wine pairings sometimes overpowered the food. I would love to try next season‘s menu

The restaurant is located in the building that is over 300 years old and is full of character. You will be greeted with a complimentary starter of bread and some dried tomato paste and cauliflower soup. These are nothing special, just to keep you occupied while you're waiting. The octopus starter was fantastically soft and beautifully presented. But the highlight was the rabbit cooked three ways, of which the favourite bit was the rabbit leg astonishingly soft and melting in my mouth. It came with some delightful red wine sauce and super creamy vegetable purée which I think was made of carrots. But why there was so little of the sauce and pure? I would prefer a little jar of it on a side! I wasn't a fan of the mini fritter. On a side you are also given some roast potatoes and veggies, but again it all feels quite dry once you quickly scoop all the sauce from the plate.
