Love this place. Such a chill vibe with good music and good prices. The staff are friendly and helpful. Food is so good. One of the best burgers in town and amazing hot dogs, wings, chicken tenders and fries.

Great location horrible service.. food is ok when its not a hassle to order it. Great deals for in the business employees that are neighbors to them if the employees that work here have a nice attitude that day. Don't order to go without ordering a drink or its a problem 🙄 dont order the food special unless you sit there and drink for hours on end. I asked to speak with a manager/ owner the employees say they are all managers and after i express my concerns they say come back the next day when a owner is present. Don't defend yourself when a employee comes at you aggressively and threatens you and say they will call the police.WILL NOT SUPPORT EVER AGAIN.

My normal go to place in Wilton Manors. Very friendly and good bar food. Drinks are generous and keep flowing. Outside tables are few but love watching the crowds walk by. Always a delight.

Gym is pretty laid back place good for catching up with friends and grabbing a beer or something. Gym has a lot of specials and gives you a gym casino chip as a 2 for 1. There are TVs and its a sports theme whether or not the crowd is interested I am not sure. Bartenders tend to know everyone. Fun place to visit.

I really enjoy this place. Always rave about their bar food. But u guys are lacking and slacking. Their burgers used to be thick and juicy and this time this bleu burger sucked. The meat was thin and dry. Don’t be skimming Gym. Should i just stick to the frozen drinks?!?

Great place. Super good food specials. Amazing addictive tacos, and great price on Taco Tuesday. See other reviews, all food is good. Wings special $1 on Sat and Sun. Great staff, and crowd. Bartenders keep getting hotter, and friendlier. Sports channels on 10 TV's. Smaller neighborhood bar, and can get very noisy but fun. I'm a regular and love this bar. My only complaint is that on holidays, even if it's a weekday, the Gym bar drops all their specials. Otherwise, love this place.

It's probably my bad for ordering an appetizer and an entree at the same time and expecting the app to come out first, but guess someone thought I ordered too much. I asked for extra tater sauce for my fish and chips. The guy explained to me that I already had some. When I asked for more, he said , "no" then walked away. Food was decent, but without decent service...

The staff is very accommodating. Great service. Good food. Nice ambiance. Will return in the future.

Just sat at the bar for 15 minutes, waiting to order. Tbe bartender was so obsessed with his phone he didn't even acknowledge me...and I'm a regular and a big tipper. Oh, and it was NOT busy.

Making food for the price that you pay good atmosphere. You're a happy in town if you're looking for something to do should go there

It's small but a great place to get to socialize with friends and meet new people. I like that it's not exclusive and appeals to everyone.

Gym Sportsbar is the best hangout spot for homosexuals who enjoy pretending to like sports to cling onto any minuscule masculinity they might have left. Overall love the vibe and the food is great. Five stars

Friends have been raving about the pork tacos at The Gym Bar. I went to check the tacos out. I tried the pork, shrimp, and chicken tacos over two lunches on a Friday and Saturday. I have to admit, the pork tacos were superb! The generous portion of pork and the slightly spicy sauce topped with fresh cilantro were delish! A definite 4 star for sure. The chipotle chicken tacos were equally good also with cilantro. I ordered the sauce, a chipotle mayo, on the side. Also a 4 star. The shrimp tacos came with a lime-cilantro vinaigrette and I suggest you get it on the side as well so your shrimp aren't swimming in it. There was plenty of shrimp, too! Also a 4. Truly delicious tacos. I give the bar an overall rating of 3 stars due to some annoyances. For example, the Gym Bar is "bar service only". You have to go to the bar to order anything. Often you stand in line to wait for the one bartender running the lunch crowd. It might take 10-15 minutes to order at a busy time. You also have to wait in line to close your tab. Even if you sit outside, you need to order at the bar. It wouldn't hurt to have one server on the floor making ordering easier. The bar next door has plenty of servers. There are three or four tables outside, but only one table has an umbrella to shade the sun. Every table needs an umbrella. Inside, the noise level can be deafening, especially with cement floors. The music volume is set loud. They could tone the noise down. Finally, the tables are often not clean. They can be sticky. This is another good reason to have a single floor staff. But, the tacos are good!

In a city of gay watering holes, this one stands out with super friendly bartenders/staff and really good food! They have some great food specials too! Decked out with sports memorabilia and TVs showing sports, this space really does exude "sports". LOVE IT HERE!

Great gathering place for sporty gay men and for straight guys not threatened by the forementioned. Good bartenders and pretty good food (the daily specials are especially worthy). The crowd is "young and beerish" compared the the Pub (next door) and "working dudes" compared to the effete types at Drynk (further down the street). "Gym Bar" is for older ex-fraternity guys who can speak knowledgeably about the sports on the many TVs in the place. My one big complaint is that my alma mater's banner is missing among the many posers on the walls.

Everything about here is epic. The food, the staff, the customers. Legit an all around perfect place to be any time and any day of the week. They offer A TON of food and drink specials. If you are in Wilton Manor you better com me here. Their bartender Adrian Evan's is also top class!

Neighborhood gay bar with limited kitchen. Reasonable prices for food and beverages. Featuring daily "Home Plate Specials"... Monday $5 Appetizers, Tuesday $3 Tacos, Wednesday 1/2 price Burgers,, Thursday $1 Hot Dogs add chili or cheese $1, Friday Fish & Chops $9 w Malt Vinegar, Saturday & Sunday is $1 Wings choice of sauce. I have enjoyed everything, for price the quantity and quality is great, and they offer house-made sauces and dips. Service has always been great... and bartender Kyle is worth a visit too. He has such a cute ___, but come visit him to know what I'm talking about. Gym sports bar is across from Wilton Shops and the Alibi, so drop in when visiting Wilton Drive for a fun time out.

It has been a while since I was here and it's a sports bar. They have certain nights they serve inexpensive food, like $1 hot dogs and other meh bar food. Don't expect anything really good, just really good after you're buzzed...and where a Shock Top draft is $1 more than a bar just a two minute walk away. It can be hit or miss, but it's a fun place during college and pro football games which will soon be on. Overall, it's okay, once in a while... if you miss it, don't fret, you didn't miss much.

Food is best bar food around. All fresh made. Drinks are all well made and I find the service to be super fast. Can't beat the prices and atmosphere tends to be the best on the drive. My personal go to on the drive.

Bartenders slower than molasses. Kids ordered 1 beer and using credit card. Should be $10 minimum and a service fee for using credit cards! How things change through the years.

We are locals - we are regulars at Gym Bar - last night minding our own business watching the panthers game an intoxicated person yanked a chair away from me. I reacted as anyone would. This began a 45 minute series of events which involved the person threatening me and being verbally offensive. Many saw it. I was told - he is a regular and he is drunk. You need not worry about it. Several others complained about the person as well. The remedy was to simply be sure that he was relocated in the bar. Guess what he continued. GYM BAR is not equipped to handle these things well. MANY people told us that if this had occurred at Hunters, the Pub, ANYWHERE, the guy would have been long gone. There were other patrons that offered to walk us to our car. Eventually - 45 minutes later - outside - he was asked to leave. He was there with a friend who was worthless - said NOTHING - I HAVE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW THIS COULD HAVE GONE DOWN. GYM BAR GROW UP!

This is a fun place with some very friendly staff and customers. You don't get attitude here generally. It's one place you can always guarantee will have some people in early evening. Out of the Wilton Manors bars here is where a younger crowd will come for happy hour and some food. I had a burger and onions rings the other week which was great value and tasty. Some nights get rowdy with people watching game on the big tvs and shouting along etc. Well recommended.

What was formerly the short lived Angels Café is now the Gym Sports Bar. As the name states it promotes itself as being a sports bar, but it doesn't have all that phony memorabilia crap all over the place, at least not yet, and the flat screens are really a tad too small as far as sports bars generally go, which is fine with me because I for one really don't like most sports bar environments. I can do without listening to people cheering someone on during a rerun of last week's game, wishing some $20 million dollar a year over paid bricks for brain athlete a touch down score or giving into major corporations like the NFL that manage to get their greedy hands on and squander my tax money building unprofitable stadiums for themselves. When I've been in the Gym Sports Bar I've found it be more in the character of just being a darn good neighborhood drinking bar. Then as a drinking bar it has a couple of good things going for it. First off, the bartending staff seems to be one of the better in town, pouring a good drink, super friendly, always with a smile and a naturally demeanor. Another thing is that they serve food, albeit rather typical bar food basically comprised of wings and burgers but having a good selection to choose from and at decent prices; though I have yet to try any of them. For me, though not a sports bar fan, I couldn't help but like the friendliness and rather neighborhood like atmosphere of Gym Sports Bar as opposed what are so many of the other sports bars, the likes of a Bokampers, being so impersonal and overwhelming with a hype sports fan commercialism.

My husband and I love their hamburgers and taco nights on Tuesday but also anytime WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH THE LOUD MUSIC! CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW!!!! It's so sad that the music is this LOUD in a non dance bar everyone in there was shouting at each other at their tables while trying to enjoy their hamburgers and talking to each other...... I will not go back as there is no enjoyment in relaxing for a great burger if you can't have a convo too. I think I mentioned this loud music before I guess the owner is deaf...if not we will be if we keep going there.

The fish tocos was good and so was the fresh fish & chips.The music was odd sad playlist choice for a bar. No soap in rest room.

I was sitting in the bar and no one even say hi. I never get any attention from the staffs over here even other customers they were waiting like .... Huh I know it might be your busy day but you should know and care about your customers right? if you are not ready or not enough manpower I don't think you should run business. On that day I decided to walk out from that place. It was the worst bar experience I ever met in my life.

Gym Sportsbar may not be as great IMO as the first incarnation of nearby Sidelines that I used to love so much (RIP Sidelines), but it's fine for what it is. A few of us were on Wilton Drive after having dinner in the area and wanted to watch a particular soccer match, so we decided to try Gym. We came in and found seating at the end of the bar, right next to a TV where they happened to be showing the match we wanted to see. We ordered a few beers, and I needed to use the restroom so I went down the hallway where you'll find 2 unisex restrooms and a complimentary condom dispenser. Once inside, Gym seems larger than it appears from the street, and they've installed sound absorbent material on the ceiling to reduce the amount of noise and reverbaration when the place is full. It's a solid sports-themed bar, nothing more, nothing less. Bartenders were attentive but not overly friendly or outgoing, and they have a bunch of large screens for showing sports and other programming. One can sit at the bar, at a section of high top tables in the middle of the place, or along the windows facing the street. I ordered 2 Coronas which were $5.50 each and 2 shots (basically asked the bartender to surprise us with something sweet. He came up with a vodka concoction that hit the spot!). Total came to $23 before gratuity.

Cool vibe but let me tell u. The chipotle chicken tacos are life changing. Best chicken tacos hands down. Even better after a day of drinking. Trust me.

This is my new favorite place to drink in Wilton Manors. The staff are so very nice and friendly and very nice to look at! They really made us feel welcome and they remembered what we drank after our first beverage. The place is clean and the atmosphere is upbeat and enjoyable! Can't wait to go back again!

Five stars for price and atmosphere! Cheap drinks, fun people. Food is fine. Happy hour is great. Drinks are strong and cheap.

First time here and the two bartenders/waiter could not have been any nicer to me and my dog. It is a place to visit and call home.

While this bar serves food (which I did not partake in any) it was recommended as a fun place! HA! The bartender was a rude fuck who it is obvious that English is not his first language, was arrogant and displayed his attitude in the drink that he poured! What I will say as positive as the bar back Jerry, who was a wonderful and nice person who was embarrassed by the bartenders'​ attitude. We will not be returning to this bar, nor recommending it to others!

Best food in town...nicest crew to serve you and cheapest beer to cool you. If you don't like it you can lump it....take it down the road and dump it !

Well, it's not necessarily my favorite bar in the area, but it's definitely not the worst. Not much of a selling point, I know, and I'm sorry, but I just think this place is ok. Nothing more, nothing less. I don't like the set up of place at all. I fee like I'm in someone's basement- like a house party in college except this time it's all gay guys. The drinks are strong in typical Wilton Manors fashion so that's good. It's so grey in there- literally the walls and floor are almost the same color. It needs more spice in decor for sure. I've not tried the food but I will have to. I think to be a sports bar it needs to be larger. Only a few tables with chairs in there doesn't allow many people to come and sit to watch the game. Personally, I would go to Bokampers based on that alone, but I'm sure some people would come here and be perfectly fine. Again, I don't hate it. I don't love it. Definitely check it out though if you're doing a bar crawl.

My how things charge. 8:30 Friday night, not overly busy save the poker table. We had previous enjoyed our visit ave decided to stop by for a quick bite. Well obviously I was wrong. We sat at a table and waited.....well it's a Friday maybe I should go to the bar....went to the bar....waited..caught the eye off two bartenders.....waited..caught the of the manger (maybe owner, bearded guy)....He told the tall bartender to turn around ..... wait..... " should I order here? I'm at a table? " " I can send Joey over...." " great" .... I sit down....wait...bartender with ear plugs returns to the bar (Joey? ) ... they chat, look around....wait.......... I leave and order PaPa John's...... Granted I'm writing this in a fit of rage, but it'll blow over...I may try again.....when it's slower Maybe I won't...sigh

Paid for parking only to get refused service because we had our SERVICE DOG with us. The gentleman at the bar asked us if our dog was a service dog, which he's allowed to ask, we said yes, he then asked what service she provides, and we said emotional support, which is a service that she provides, and we let him know that we had her SERVICE DOG registration and he refused service and let us know that emotional support was not a service dog. My bf suffers from severe anxiety and the dog is registered as a service dog because of this for anxiety. He didn't even greet us or anything, they should be a little more sensitive about how they handle these situations and he should have accepted our registration. Super disappointed as we are new to the neighborhood and this was our first time there. I wish I could give less than one star.

Amazing bar and friendly staff. However, Todd the bartender was very unprofessional. First off, my girlfriend and I had to tell him three times what we wanted, AND got over charged for a drink special. When we asked him to fix it he made excuses up as to why it was more expensive(even when it shouldn't have). We asked to speak to a manager and, of course, he said that "he was the manager". We went to two other bartenders and they clarified that we were charged incorrectly. They ALSO added that this has been a consistent problem with him. If that's the case, then why is he still there!?! We will not be going back, which is shame because the food, drinks, and other bartenders are amazing. If you go here do not go to Todd.

Came here to watch what would become the final game of the World Series. This place has a bunch of TVs to watch your favorite games -- something uncommon for gay bars in most places. When it became apparent that the Mets were going to implode -- again -- we decided to play darts. Gym has the machines with the nylon-tipped darts, which are not my favorite, but we still had a good time. All in all, this is a good bar for folks who want a gay bar that is a different scene.

Cool little bar in the heart of Wilton Manors. The place lives up to its name, its a classic sports bar. Lots of TV's, sports décor and some dart boards. Drinks and food are cheap and the bartenders are awesome! Nothing over the top but worth a stop if you're in the area.

Fun little sports bar. Has a more college scene than most other places on the Drive. Yummy little finger food. I give it 4 stars because for it not being a club with a DJ or dance floor it is usually very loud! And it's not because people screaming at the sports game. It's small and loud. Still fun and worth checking out!

Call it what you like but not a sports bar. They do have televisions playing sports and dudes in tank tops, but music so loud everyone has to talk louder and whatever sport you wanted to watch is washed out.

One of my favorite places in Wilton, I love the food, I love the people and I love Bubba! We went there for poker night and I had a blast. Everyone there is so amazingly friendly. Haters saying it's not a sports bar need to go bro out at home and yell at Brady on their TV with cold football shaped potato wedges and a Bud Light.

I really like big places to go and have drinks with friends. This place is a little claustrophobic since it is too small however bartender was very pleasant.

Honestly the worst experience we have ever had in Wilton Manors. Too bad. We really wanted to like this place. The burgers were served over-cooked and not as we ordered. We substituted Swiss for cheddar cheese and received an up-charge on the bill. We paid an extra $2 for fries and received a total of 8 fries! They forgot part of our order, and we had to wait while they re-entered it. Finally, when we got the bill, they forgot to give us the Wednesday special (50% off all burgers) and they charged us full price. We couldn't get anyone's attention to correct the mistake, so we just paid it and left. If you want a good burger, there are plenty of other places in Wilton Manors to choose from... all with better service, better food, better prices, and better atmosphere.

Bubba (Todd Eller) has joined the team at Gym Bar and will be sure to fit right into this friendly, diverse, fun atmosphere we have grown to love at this popular watering hole. Bar food is awesome and cheap! 2 for 1 happy hour drink prices are offered throughout the week. Nightly food specials such as half priced burgers, $2 tacos, $1 dogs and so on are a real deal and if you are into sports, you will surely find your games being displayed on one of their many screens.

Not good. Service was poor. Bartender more interested in gossip than ensuring customers have drinks. Very sparse. As a sports enthusiast I am shocked that service personnel do not put all their effort into their job. I would recommend going to Mind Your Manors.

The bartender measured the alcohol. Are you kidding me. So unprofessional. The worst drink on the drive. Full price.

There are better options to spend your time socializing and drinking in Wilton Manors unless you're visiting from NY....no real drink specials - their "2 for 1" is really a rip off compared to the rest of the drink specials on the Drive - if you're going to give a free drink chip, take it back FRACKING anytime! But the owners have attitude around this concept and only accept back certain minutes of certain days (I.e. first full moon on Tuesday night but before high tide). Bad promotional manners. Lot more fun places on the Drive to stretch your drinking dollars (It's not called Fort Liquordale for nothing).

In town for the weekend, staying at Calypso Inn, love walking to all the bars and restaurants...Saturday it rained a lot, turned cold, wanted to stay in, walked down and ordered 12 naked well done wings, onion rings and fried pickles...AWESEOME...best wings and rings ever!

Place is amazing, with awesome bartenders! If you go you must try the Chicken Tacos or any Burger, It is by far the best food on the drive!
