A Michelin-Starred Indian Restaurant From London Opens Its First U.S. Location at the Aria | Eater Vegas

"Inside Aria Resort and Casino, London’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant opens its first U.S. location in an opulent, 175-seat setting of richly colored rooms—an ideal backdrop for chef Srikant Kumar’s traditional dishes that, for the first time for the brand, include beef, like a beef short rib pepper fry in coconut and South Indian spices. The menu leans North Indian while drawing from the South and West, organized into appetizers, kebabs and tikkas, curries and biryanis, and stewy sabzi: tamarind- and mint-chutney fried chicken, wagyu keema naan, duck egg and lobster spiced rice, four types of pappadum with three chutneys, yogurt-marinated lasooni wild tiger prawns, and butter chicken slow-cooked for hours with milk solids, fenugreek, and charred chicken in masala for deeper flavor. Heartier plates include slow-braised pork cheek vindaloo with onions, chili, cloves, and palm vinegar, and venison biryani dressed with pomegranate and mint raita, while the sabzi section stays classic with vegetable dishes like chickpea masala; a $165 tasting menu is available. Drinks range from tableside cocktail punch service and a chutney-inspired spicy mezcal margarita to the Pina Col-Lassi (Mount Gay Eclipse rum, Foursquare Probitas rum, clarified coconut and pineapple puree), plus reserve cocktails from $60 up to the $400 Boss Hogg Old Fashioned with WhistlePig The Boss Hog XI rye, gomme simple syrup, bitters, and orange oil, alongside non-alcoholic options like classic mango lassi and salted lemon nimbu pani lemonade. U.K.-based design studio North End reworked the former Julian Serrano Tapas space with bold forest green double doors, a mirror-flanked foyer, chili-hued ceilings, floral mirrors, a bar and lounge, and paisley carpet with hints of teal, and created the 58-seat Vault—part of the main dining room that can be made private—plus the intimate five-seat 42 Bar. Open Sunday to Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and until 10:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday; reservations are via SevenRooms or the ARIA Concierge at (702) 590-9520." - Mona Holmes

Excellent experience! If you love Indian food and are a foody this is the spot for a big Vegas and delish Indian experience. Fantastic wine list too with a range of options. Gorgeous decor and we loved the play list, great combo of English and Punjabi music. Special shout out to Chris and Ernest for making our night so memorable and fun! Bravo to the chefs and entire team!

We may have gone into it with very high expectations, hearing all the hype around it. The place itself is amazing, one of the best put together Indian restaurants we have ever been to. But the food was average and for the price it’s below par. Service was excellent, people working there are nice and friendly.

I was beyond excited to try their Las Vegas location! After having a life changing experience at their location in London, I had high expectations. I do not have a single bad thing to say! Food was incredible. Service was amazing. The playlist was a vibe and matched the ambiance. I cannot wait to go back! Great job team!

Finally! Had the pleasure of dining at Gymkhana LV, and end-to-end, the experience was awesome. The restaurant has a club vibe with music playing at a moderate level, which sets the mood perfectly. There’s a very distinct fragrance the moment you enter—something fresh and aquatic that permeates the entire restaurant while you’re dining, but disappears the moment you step outside. Food: Chicken Tikka - Well-cooked, delicious, but spicy. Spicy. I mentioned spicy twice to ensure you know it’s spicy. I wish they had served it with green chutney and some lemon to neutralize the spice level. 10/10 recommended. Butter Chicken - Gravy was decently thick, chicken pieces were small (good size), and it had the right spice level and taste. 10/10. (Pro tip: I would not recommend ordering chicken tikka and butter chicken together, as the spicy tikka can overpower the butter chicken and you may not get its true taste. Squeeze some lemon on the butter chicken if you like. This pairs perfectly with butter naan.) Mushroom Pulao - Honestly not the best. I’d skip it, as it didn’t really add any value. Keeping aesthetics aside, there wasn’t much of a wow factor. You may like it; I didn’t. I’d skip, but you could try. Tiramisu Gulab Jamun - Another stunner. This innovative dessert fuses Italian tiramisu with the classic Indian gulab jamun—warm, syrup-soaked milk dumplings with the coffee-mascarpone flavors of tiramisu. A creative East-meets-West finale that’s absolutely worth ordering. I could only eat so much, so this is definitely a go-to place for me. The food can be a bit pricey depending on your budget, but for a party of two with these four items (including a Coke and a drink), our bill was around $200 including gratuity. I would absolutely recommend this place, and on our next trip, we’ll definitely be coming back to try other items.

First of all, I’ve to say that I’m quite surprised to see so many negative 1-2 star reviews for a restaurant that just opened 3 weeks ago and claims to be fully committed until mid Jan ‘26. Looks like marketing did a great job in eloquently, but, falsely advertising the establishment, giving an impression that Las Vegas Gymkhana is a Michelin star restaurant. In fact, it’s NOT!! A quick google search reveals that it’s the London based Gymkhana that’s been certified Michelin 2 stars. This restaurant is a no star, in fact. Forget Michelin 🧐 Moving on to the Ambiance and decor. I have to admit that’s the only good thing going 😊 The fact that it’s inside one of the busiest and upscale Casinos resorts of Las Vegas (ARIA), Gymkhana might just pull thru its weight. We ordered Beetroot Pav and Gol gappa as starters. Both were delicious. Very Small portions and absolutely over priced. When I say small, I really mean smaller than McDs kid menu.lol Hmm 🤔 wonder why ? Am I in a French restaurant or an Indian restaurant (entree’s are meant to be shared) ? Main dishes : we ordered Rajasthani Okra , Khatta mitha Baingan (Eggplant) , chick pea masala, Salmon Tikka Baingan (Eggplant) was good, although kinda sweet not authentic. Okra was disgusting and dry. Almost felt like it was dehydrated before throwing into the frying pan that might have been used to make French fries. Huge disappointment. No sir we do not make okra like this. Okra or Lady’s finger is one of the most delicate vegetables that needs to be handled with absolute and utmost care to get the best taste out of it. Fun fact : Nobu ( Paris casino) uses raw Okra to make Veggie Cut rolls. Let me tell you those sushi rolls are super delicious @Nobu. If they can extract flavor outta raw okra, surely, an Indian restaurant with plethora of spices at its disposal can get flavor out of cooked Okra. Horrible taste and huge disappointment to the palet! Chick peas - Half A** attempt to make Channa masala. Huge disappointment. Very little gravy , dry and hardly any taste. what happened to the TaDka Mr Chef ? Again super, small portions Bread basket: Bread (Garlic Naan, Tandoori Roti) was tasteless and felt like overcooked or burnt. Mr Chef, the bread needs to be moist and not chewy. It is not papadam, but Indian Naan and Tandoori roti that we were expecting. Quite disappointed, respectfully chef Sir. Salmon Tikka - It was above average. I could not tell what the green paste on top of Salmon was. IMO it was unnecessary. Salmon is a very flavorful fish to begin with. Small garnish on top would have been enough. Rice Pilaf - This is the only dish that carried some weight. Great presentation and good in taste . Looks like this may have been a signature dish that they followed by the book to prepare. Job well done. Drinks : Drinks were average , no complaints. But, do I need to go to a hyped up Indian Restaurant to get a couple of hugely overpriced cocktails ? Overall quite disappointed. Over priced. Super small portions. Will not come again, unless things change drastically. Good Luck 🍀 PS : I stand by my review. Owner/GM feel free to contact me if you have any further questions or need more details. Thank you 🙏

We were able to secure seats at the bar by coming early. Very impressed by the bartenders (Ashley and Tony) who served us all night. They made the experience even more enjoyable. The food, drinks, ambience and music were stellar. One of my best dining experiences of all time.

Amazing food it’s all good. Great service from Jher who also made good recommendations. I would suggest at minimum the butter chicken and chicken tikka. Will be back soon and make sure you get your reservations early it’s super popular already.

When I heard they were opening a Gymkhana in Las Vegas I was so excited. I booked a table without hesitation and have been watching YouTube clips of the London one looking at what food to chose. We got there for our time.. but no table was available so we had to wait outside until they emailed us. 30 minutes later no email, so we went in to check and a table was available, not a great start. We sat down, got comfortable.. and more comfortable, and more comfortable. Then finally got asked if we wanted water (sure we've been here a hour now and obviously gasping) so she comes over with a half full water bottle (charges us $11 for this at the end). We then sit with our water another 20 mins until we get asked if we want drinks. A lady who seems to be looking over the new staff has obviously caught on she's taking forever, so she takes over and asks us what food we want. We order our food and she says "thats not alot of food for 2 people" we ordered the Lamb chops, some rice, the butter chicken, and the bread combo (and dont be fooled it was easily enough food, we left quite abit) i think they wanted u to order more to get a bigger tip. The food was just ok for me, nothing special at all. To be honest we were there that long it kinda ruined my mood for the night. I know its only just opened, but it seemed all over the place and the staff looked lost in it all.
