15 Best Spots to Eat Under $25 on Sandy Springs’ Restaurant Row | Eater Atlanta

"Here, you can get a salad, fresh-cut fries, a main, and a soft drink for under $15. Pita sandwiches range around $7 at this casual counter-service spot. Sampler plates with falafel, dolmades, chicken kebab, hummus, tzatziki, and spanakopita are also just $15, for a filling mezze meal." - Su-Jit Lin

Google
I’ve been missing out. Enjoy this gyro spot today & it was perfect. Excellent customer service as well. I had the traditional gyro combo & the fried chicken wrap (buffalo). Everything was perfect. They have some of the best combo prices I’ve seen out there. They even a drive thru for you convenience. No wait times during lunch either. 💯🥙

Google
This place is an institution. I’ve eaten here so many times over the years and it truly never misses. Great price for the food, almost scary fast, inexplicably plays reggae music all the time. The best.

Google
Great spot right next to Mutation Brewery. $11.99 for a gyro wrap with a side and a fountain drink, excellent deal! Some interesting options too like a Philly gyro or sriracha ranch gyro. Our food was ready in a snap. 🥙

Google
I’ve past by this place all the time. Today I took a chance and I’m so glad I did. This is truly a best kept secret in Sandy Springs. The food was SO good and very cheap for the portion size. The lady that took our order was so nice and funny too. She even gave our little dog, Hazel, so lamb. Don’t just pass this place by like I did. Make sure to stop in or use the drive through.

Google
Tomiko is such a joyful person. She’s super helpful with our order as it’s our first time there. Their gyro is very filling and fries are thick and fresh.

Google
Ordered several times on DoorDash from this place and they always mess up my order. They send half what was ordered. Thought DoorDash refunds the cost of the food. I still lost money on the delivery, tax, fees and tip which I had to pay again to get replacements. After the first time thought to give them another chance and had similar issues. Tried calling them to give them feedback but was constantly told the manager was not there.

Google
Great place for quick gyro sandwich and some very tasty fries. They had the sandwich in my hand before I could fill my drink and sit down at a table.

Google
Stopped through here for a quick bite while waiting for traffic to die down. It was very good. The food was perfect and the service was friendly and fast. The gyro was tasty, and the handcut fries were worth the stop by themselves.

Yelp
Food is HOT and comes out within 10 minutes. These gyros are made with love, you'll know by the flavor & heaping size of them! & to Tomika, love you girl!!!

Yelp
Nice place to get a gyro. Meat had good flavor. The pita had a good ratio of meat to vegetables. Small indoor seating area in a strip mall. Staff was friendly.

Yelp
The best Greek spot all around! I've been coming to Gyro Bros since living in the area and it is always a hit! Great portion sizes and amazing prices! Friendly staff as well. Food is always fresh made to order, especially the fries! There's not enough good things I can says about this place!

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick bite. Employees greeted me as soon as I walked and and were helpful in me making my decision. I opted for the traditional gyro but in a lettuce wrap which I was so happy they offered. Even happier that they gave you three instead of trying to fit it all in one. The food was delicious and no guilt necessary. They have a few tables outside which is great for the warmer months but if that's not your thing there's room inside as well.

Yelp
Great and FAST. Ordered two gyro combos and they were ready super fast. The french frys were really good too. I wonder if they cut them from the potatoes right there.

Yelp
I will always come here for quick, cheap and delicious Mediterranean food, with no gimmicks. Gyro Bros always delivers when I'm craving a gyro, a craving that I seem to be having more and more lately. Their gyros are always packed with plenty of meat, and the lettuce, tomato and taziki complements the meat well without stealing the show. Balanced, is a great way to describe their gyros. You can easily taste every individual component, yet the combination of ingredients makes the meal memorable. I cannot say that their gyro meat is the best I've ever had, but they do a great job with their food. The best deal you can get is their gyro plate. It comes with the gyro meat, a salad, fries and some pita. It's a cheap alternative to the sandwich so that you can try everything. I have a soft spot for their Greek fries, so this gives me the opportunity to get the health of the salad, with the wealth of the fries. Service is always pleasant, and their chef is lightning quick. I also learned the correct pronunciation of gyro. It's "yee-ro". Thanks Gyro Bros!

Yelp
Decided to try Gyro Bros for lunch today, and I think I've found my new favorite lunch spot! Staff was super friendly, food was amazing, and the service was super fast.

Yelp
I don't have many places I'd go to every single day but I feel like I'd definitely go here every single day. It's delicious and fresh, but most of all it's fast. I do a little too much fast food because oftentimes even "fast casual" is too slow. However, I can guarantee that this place is even faster than fast food and so much better. I love their drive-through here too. It's just so convenient. The portions here are quite large as well. I love the fries that come with the food. They taste hand-cut and very high quality. I usually get the gyro plate. The gyro is so delicious here. Even late at night, the cuts of meat are tender and have great flavor. Lastly, I can say that the people who work here are some of the friendliest I have met as well. It makes me feel so happy just to interact with them.

Yelp
Made a huge mistake of going to another gyro place last Friday. It was SO bad. We came here right after tossing the crap from the other place. I will, from now on, always opt for this as it's hands down, better all around. Thank you for saving a quick bite Friday night date.

Yelp
I got the vegetarian sampler. Not as good as I'd hoped it would be. The "greek" salad was disappointing because it was not what I expected (just some basic shredded ice berg lettuce with a few chopped tomatoes. I like kalamata olives, feta, etc.) Hummus was ok. Pita was good. Spanakopita was soggy and not flaky like I'm used to having (I've had a lot of spanakopita). The pita bread was good. The falafel was too salty. Overall, the food just didn't have the feshness that I expect from Mediterranean food, but I guess this is more a of fast lunch spot, so perhaps I should manage my expectations. Hopefully the restaurant will take my review as constructive criticism and not take it personally. I don't mean to be rude, but I have to be honest.

Yelp
Good bang for your buck forsure. The gyro combo plate (comes with drink and fries, you can order salad instead of fries if you want, was pretty good. The chicken plate was big portions--it was pretty good too. Sadly, everything was a bit cold. It came out maybe a few minutes after I ordered so it was clearly prepped before coming out and as someone who is a french fry lover, it always makes me a bit sad when the french fries are cold. Everything was pretty solid, just neeeeeds to be reheated before serving or make it upon order. Staff was nice. Ambience is casual, good amount of seating inside and some tables outside. Small parking lot but wasn't crowded around lunchtime.

Emersen S.

Yelp
Always the sweetest people when I come here. Always can rely on the food here! Drive through is super convenient. Always recommend.

Will H.

Yelp
It's insane it's not 4.8 stars average. Food is CHEAP. I mean a platter is like $11 . You get fries, pita, salad and chicken for $11. I work near here and have tried all the spots and this is my favorite. I get the Greek Salad w/ Chicken 2-3x a week.
google avatar

Yelp
Dope spot! Fries are amazing, gyro takes really good! Go here! The staff is very awesome and the food is great!

Adrian B.

Yelp
Food is always 10/10. Very flavorful and fresh all of the time! What makes the review 5 stars is Tomiko. She is the BEST! Very attentive and is the epitome of great customer service. I've made it a ritual to come see her and order a chicken kabob plate once a week. It's THAT good!

Yelp
Being from NY when you see gyro You think it has to be good. It wasn't and I was highly disappointed. I ordered a beef gyro and it Was gross. The fries were well seasoned but soggy and oily so I couldn't eat it. The Greek salad is want fresh so I didn't chance it and the beef gyro I couldn't stomach. I've seen great review so I don't know what happened with my Visit. Drive thru service makes this Location convenient and customer Service was excellent. I wish my experience was a better one.

Dana O.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times and have had good experiences every time the gyro ($9-10) and falafel plate ($7-8) are both under $10 and very generous portion sizes. The gyro is soft and tender and the falafel is crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. Love that it comes with salad and some fries. Parking in the front is tight but theres a big lot behind the building complex and a drive thru. Service is friendly and it's easy self service after you order.

M L.

Yelp
First time drive through. Kindest people I've met... gave my dog an entire side of gyro meat I didn't even ask for. Food was great!!!

Amrit R.

Yelp
Best gyros in Atlanta! Their gyros are packed with protein and all the food tastes fresh. Immaculately clean, from countertops to tables. The staff is incredibly friendly, always ready with a warm smile and top-notch service. Surprisingly really good coffee as well!

Fiona P.

Yelp
I passionately love gyro bros the service is amazing everyone here is so nice and kind and polite. Also the food is great and very reasonably priced. They are always playing good music and the employees look happy to be there. i come here all the time and you should too

Emily W.

Yelp
Incredible value, great food, and fantastic service. We will definitely be back! I only hate that there isn't one closer to our home.

Yelp
Shoutout to one of my favorite work lunch spots! I'm a fan of this place becuase the food was not only delicious but also served in generous amounts. For the price, I was very happy full at work, and the food got me through the rest of the day. Most of the time, I ordered the steak gyro or shrimp gyro with side salad and tzatziki sauce. The cuts of steak were actually hardy cuts of medium-to-medium-rare steak meat (and not square-shaped, brown mystery meat), and the shrimps were always cooked and seasoned well. I'm not in the neighborhood, but much thanks to these guys especially at times when I wasn't on my A+ meal prep game.

Yelp
I absolutely love Gyro Bros! I'm very impressed with the food, presentation and customer service. I tried this place for the first time 7/13/23. I was blown away by the person working the drive through. She was smiling and was very pleasant. I ordered the gyro with lamb meat. I added feta cheese and hand cut fries. The food was outstanding! I will definitely return.
google avatar

Cole H.

Yelp
Amazing service from the drive through worker! Made my day so much brighter, I haven't even tried the food yet but if it's as good as their attitude, this will be the best meal ever!
google avatar

Sarah P.

Yelp
Really fast service and convenient location and really nice customer service! Everyone is wearing masks. I got the gyro plate and it was good, pretty standard but hey had to stop in. Tzatziki sauce was really great and so was the gyro meat. The Greek salad could use some love. However the people that worked there were really nice. I'm sure I'll be back to try something else in the future.

Yelp
I can't believe I've lived in sandy springs for seven years passing by this place almost every single day and I've never tried this before. I feel like I've let myself down :( So here's my review... Of course we are dealing with a pandemic so I was grateful for the drive thru. I love that they have menus on the wall way ahead of the window to order. The menu isn't overwhelming but they've got a pretty good selection of things. It's perfect. I ordered the gyro plate. We also got veggie burgers and the traditional gyro. Everything was excellent! The pita bread is delicious, the meat was just right and the fresh cut fries- mmmmmm my favorite! I will definitely be back!

Pearce M.

Yelp
Came here for lunch and three things stood out: - Relaxed environment, even during the lunch hour - Friendly staff - Amazing Gyro
google avatar

Kelly P.

Yelp
The CDC says" Go Greek once a week! Love the customer service and love supporting local businesses! Thanks so much!
google avatar

Leigha W.

Yelp
I ordered the regular gyro combo with fries. . I wanted to leave a better review but the fries were not fresh they tasted like they were pre cooked and sitting alot were really crispy almost burnt. I got the lamb it had a very weird texture like they fried it or something. Nothing like I have ever tasted in gyro before and It was really salty .I saw that in someone else's review before I came I should not have ignored it. But you live and you learn I just gave 2 stars for customer service and location Definitely won't come back left feeling like I wasted money on not so fresh food that actually made me gag a little. Yuck!
google avatar

Don B.

Yelp
These gyros were about average. The meat was a little dry and they were light on the sauce as well. There was a good amount of food and fries for the money.

Bil K.

Yelp
Hands down best gyros in the city and most importantly family owned. Can't think of a better combination! Also their tenders are pretty damn good

tyler a.

Yelp
100% the best gyro in all of Atlanta. it is incredibly good. I also have to say that the atmosphere and the service there is just beyond anything else you get in Atlanta. I got to enjoy time with the owner, Danny Saleh. He is an incredible person and veteran. I love how he plays reggae music in the background. It is such a good time there..!
google avatar

Nia J.

Yelp
I had the gyro plate which comes with gyro meat, salad, and fries on top of sliced pita bread. The fries were good, salad decent, but gyro meat very dry. I don't think the meat is sliced fresh as ordered because it was extremely dry. I didn't enjoy this meal but the guy in the drive thru was very nice.
google avatar

Dwight S.

Yelp
Pretty horrific on a few different levels. I ordered the veggie platter and the baklava. The platter was not warm, the spanokopita was the worst I've ever had. The falafel was way too hard. Hummus portion was weak, and there was way too much bread as a proportion of the dish. Worst of all, the tzatziki sauce was sour...clearly an indication that they're not storing it properly (or are using expired ingredients). The baklava was fine...but wildly overpriced. I've certainly had better for cheaper. The only reason it didn't get 1 star is that I at least received the food. Never again.
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
The food was good but nothing was spectacular. The fries were slightly too oily although the gigantic portion size helped make up for it. The spanakopita was good though mine was slightly cold by the time I ate it. Overall decent value

Kay P.

Yelp
Dropped by during lunch to try this place out. They have a drive thru window, which is easy and convenient. For $9, I received a chicken gyro, plenty of fries, and a can of Coke. It's called the chicken gyro combo. You have the option of fries instead of a salad. I also requested for a side of tzatziki for my fries, which ended up being better than ketchup for sure. 5 stars for the quantity, freshness, convenience, & excellent customer service. I was 90% sold on the taste, but I can't put my finger on what is missing so I'm giving a 5 star rating.

Yelp
I found myself here again last night for a quick sandwich . The Gyro's here are huge stuffed with meat, lettuce, tomatoes and tzatziki sauce if your going to eat one of these things bring an appetite with you because you'll be stuffed when you leave . The Falafel I've had here is quite good it was moist with just the right flavor and makes a great snack when your on the move for some reason I've been given tahini sauce on one occasion and tzatziki on another stick to the tzatziki it tastes better . All sandwiches can be made into combos should you feel the need to make a pig of yourself and they have even have a few entrees like Kabobs and the Moussaka here is made with a mixture of eggplant, zucchini, potatoes and beef . Curious will have to check it out at some point ? They have a drive through if your not up to getting out of the car and for some reason Teriyaki is available too . When I asked the manager about it he said, "People like choices and it sells pretty well ." I'm not sure what Japan has to do with Greece, hey whatever . If your in Sandy Springs check it out .

Yelp
I ordered a gyro with feta and lamb meat, and they gave me some sort of pressed chicken salad/ or tuna salad sandwich... WTF. Never ordering from this place again

K L.

Yelp
Not from the area but stopped in and gave it a try. Gyros we're fresh and hot. Service was friendly and I believe the owners are two brothers. I love supporting local shops. TRY THIS PLACE!!
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
I went through the drive through and it was a great experience. I got the gyro sandwich combo with a side salad and soda for around $8. Everything was so good! The gyro meat was super flavorful and the tzatziki was top notch. It was a great amount of food for a great price. The lady working at the drive through window was super friendly too. I will definitely be back soon. Note that when there is no parking, the drive through is a good alternative.

Yelp
I have wanted to try this place for awhile, and I was torn between delight and disappointment. First the good: the gals behind the counter were so smiley and nice. The dining area was really tidy. The menu is straight-forward and offers all the Greek goodies that I have been craving, living further north of Atlanta in an area that doesn't offer much in the form of Mediterranean restaurants. The quantity for the price is outstanding. I loved the condiment counter, with several options for hot sauces. The FRIES. Ohmigod. Salty, scrumptious starch sticks! Now the bad: the parking lot is wretched. This tiny little strip is adjacent to the liquor store, so that afforded a bit of additional parking, but with Roswell Road's divided construction, getting in and out of here, not to mention finding a parking spot with the limited space in front of the other businesses here, was frustrating. It's no wonder other nearby places have either moved or gone out of business, as so many haunts between aforementioned liquor store traffic light and 285 have disappeared. (I have some fuzzy early '00s memories of American Pie.) And the worst of the bad. My gyro plate was my Christmas demise. The morning after eating at Gyro Bros, I became violently ill, and was not exposed to any sickies, and can only attribute it to something eaten there, possibly from a lack of kitchen cleanliness or something having gone rotten. I missed out on 2 days of holiday festivities and hooplummings with the family, quarantined to bed and bathroom out of necessity. I would've loved the opportunity to celebrate with family and overindulge in seasonal grub, but my insides were positively wrecked. My entree tasted good (see fries above), gyro meat veered slightly into bland territory (improved upon by; see condiments above), pita bread was fine if not a bit dry (enter condiments again), and the side salad was mostly torn hunks of romaine, onion and tomato, nothing remarkable. The food was literally dangling off of the side of the plate, there was so much of it, and while it tasted good as I ate it, I can't say that I would necessarily want to risk that taste again having experienced it several times over for the days following. So my final recommendation would be to use the drive-thru, or eat during an off time of day when the parking lot is easier to get in and out of. But otherwise, fantastic service and a cute joint.

Yelp
It was an Uber Eats adventure tonight (my 4th UE order BTW). I had to beg my Uber driver to bring my food up 1 flight of stairs, because I'm on crutches (something about safety policy...well my previous 3 drivers did not follow that policy and shouldn't you be similar to a pizza driver?) I ordered the Chicken Gyro Plate. I got my food and I expected the temperature to be what is was due to the delivery but the order was made and was on it's way quickly! I've gotta go back to this place, personally, for the fries. I ate them at room temperature and they still were good...great flavor! I can imagine if the my were fresh out of the grease!! It came with a salad with balsamic dressing which was good too. The chicken was still warm and the seasoning was perfect. My ONE COMPLAINT is that it was supposed to come with Tzatziki sauce and it didn't. How do you forget the most important topping for a Gyro?? UGGH. Thank goodness that the chicken was good all by itself but I was disappointed. I'd rather they forgot my salad dressing because I have some in my fridge. Where are the standards? That's the only part that worries me...is possibly inconsistencies.

Yelp
Food was decent, drinks were cold and the environment was inviting with the music and wait staff at the counter. I believe that menu items that are listed should be available to order. The floor was super slippery for some reason which could be a hazard to someone not really balanced.

Asia J.

Yelp
Love this place always order the beef gyro and ask for well done also get the Cesar wrap never had any issues !!

Yelp
I was near gyro bros, caught my attention cause I was HUNGRY. I highly recommend this.

Yelp
These guys are simply the best. They are so happy to serve, in a great mood. Food is top notch (burger is way better than it has any business being) and it's so fast! Honestly, one of the only bright spots of Covid is that my wife lets us eat here weekly.
google avatar

Kelsi R.

Yelp
THE FRIES ARE TO DIE FOR. Super speedy service through the drive through and very friendly staff!! Go for the fries if nothing else.

Yelp
I love this place! And the food. The only place I come to for a lamb gyro! The employees are always so nice and help me decided between fries or a salad when i order the combo! Thanks guys

Yelp
Great food! I love Gyros! I traveled from Louisiana to Texas to Florida. This one from Atlanta, GA took me by surprise. The price they charge is below $9 for a combo, cheaper then the usual $12-$15 that I pay at all other places.
