Boston Greek Restaurant News | Eater Boston

"I noted a second Gyro City has opened in Brighton at 181 Chestnut Hill Ave., bringing the original restaurant's classic menu — lamb skewers, gyros, souvlaki, Greek burgers, loukaniko (pork sausages), soups, salads, and sides — to the neighborhood; the original Gyro City opened in 2014 at 88 Peterborough St." - Eater Staff

Place is very clean & the way they have they're setup in a line with boxes to the ceiling to get the food done very quickly but absolutely delicious!!! I got the pork gyro plate with fries & salad was perfect in every bite had so much was enough for 2 meals which I did enjoy later aswell 👌

Nice vibrat place with awesome food and quick service. It was nice to sit inside, enjoy our meal and friendly company. We took two gyros and a salad and we're completely full and satisfied 👌

Everytime I visit Boston there’s no question that I MUST stop here and have a pork gyro! When I tell you it’s the closest thing I’ve tasted since visiting Greece! It’s soooo damn good!! The authenticity is SPOT ON! The meat is very flavorful and everything in a whole was delicious! I will continue to visit over and over again!

The food is best when dining in Gyro City to avoid soggy salads and limp fries but the flavor is amazing no matter when you eat, especially their roasted potatoes!

This is my first time going to this establishment. Unfortunately, I’m quite disappointed with the service and not having a sauce for my gyro. The gyro tastes good but they didn’t add any tzatziki, so it taste bit on salty and dry! Also, I ordered a rice pudding and when I picked up my order I was informed there is no rice pudding. I wish they would’ve made it clear on their site. I was charged and when asked for my refund they wasn’t sure how to process it and informed me to do it online. So! I paid for a dry gyro and no rice pudding.

Gyro City is a standout spot in Brighton for Greek food! | had the chicken souvlaki plate, and it was fantastic - juicy, well-marinated chicken served with warm pita, rice, fresh salad, and creamy tzatziki. Everything tasted homemade and full of flavor. The portions are generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the service is quick and friendly. It's a casual place, great for a quick bite or takeout. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and amount of food you get. Highly recommend if you're craving authentic Greek comfort food!

Enjoyed this place. Came around 6pm on a Sunday. Not busy. Got their gyro pita. It was filled with chicken which was great. I do wish they put more veggies in the pita. Reasonably priced too. They have cute plates for dining in.

I wish there was a closer location to where I live. No doubt I’d become a regular customer. I had a pork gyro dinner with rice and a Greek salad, my boyfriend had lamb souvlaki: We also shared a full order of the Greek salad and baklava. Portions are generous! I need a nap. Lol.. Absolutely delicious!
