GYROVILLE FORT LAUDERDALE

My family of four enjoyed a gyro platter each. Might have been because we were hungry, but the food tasted so good! Salad was good but a little salty. The meat and naan were really good. Altogether a simple, good meal. We took the BOGO deal on Uber Eats. Four gyro platters came down to 50 USD.

As a first time, Gyroville customer I must say I will never eat at this location ever again and hope all other locations are not like this one. When I arrived the door was wide open, and I wasn’t even greeted by the only employee upfront when I was the only person in there. I stood there for a couple of minutes while she just cleaned and when she finally asked me if I needed help, I said yes this was my first time there. I asked to try the spicy chicken which she provided me as taste tester, but as we got more and more down the line and she finished my pita I notice fruit flies flying all over the food because nothing is covered and then on top of that it was so hot in there because they had the door open even though I could feel the AC at the register I didn’t even end up eating the pita because there’s no way that the food has been kept at the proper temperatures required by food safety Law I ended up just eating the french fries because they were fresh. I really regret spending almost $20 there when I could’ve just gone to this other Greek place called Ethos next-door which I didn’t know was there.

Had a great experience at Gyroville! The food tasted good and was flavorful — the gyro meat was well-seasoned and juicy, and the toppings were crisp and plentiful. I really liked that they gave you options on the sides, kind of like a Mediterranean Chipotle. The staff was friendly and got my order out quickly even though it was busy. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because for some reason I was expecting something different in my mind for the price but it still got the job done for the day as I was craving gyros, the taste definitely made up for it. I’ll be back for sure — highly recommend if you’re craving something tasty and quick with a Greek twist!

So we are in town to catch a cruise ship, looking for a bite to eat and walk by this place. Looks interesting, so we try it. Oh my gosh, this is the most amazing food. Fresh, Great taste, Many great choices. The staff was friendly and very helpful. You have to try this place out. I wish there was one near me.

Do us all a favor and CLOSE. The girl working clearly does not want to work there. She looks sad and not in the least interested. Asked for a gyro, she puts lettuce on without asking. I said sauce and onions, she walked away. Says its ready, but she wrapped it up to go not asking what else I wanted. I immediately turned around and left. Based on the bad reviews, im glad I did! Avoid this place it’s underwhelming.

Food was delicious, great portions and great price. I would come back again. I ordered a build your own pita. Was hoping for gyro but they were out because the delivery truck had not arrived on time. Totally understandable. I ordered the spicy chicken instead and it was great. Ingredients tasted fresh. Liked the hummus and tzatziki sauces and they gave me extra on the side. Service was friendly but simple. I walked in, ordered and walked out with my food. Very quick service.

All around fantastic halal restaurant. Absolutely would recommend. Staff is friendly, courteous and efficient. Food is delicious, flavorful and made in front of you. You have the ability to choose your toppings and sample sauces. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely look forward to returning when in the area.

It's a very nice place, I had the opportunity to go there recently, the people who serve were friendly, everything tasted fresh and their sauces are delicious. I would really go back again with my family on my next trip. I hope the owner decides to open an establishment in North Carolina, I would love it madly.

I ordered through Uber Eats and had a great meal. They had a buy one get one offer for lunch which makes it more reasonable, especially when ordering through delivery with all of the fees. I ordered the Gyro bowl where you create your own and add your toppings. There is a decent assortment of toppings available, I do wish they had a few more to add though. It was a solid portion, rice, veggies and gyro meat all tasted great. Loved the tzatziki sauce that they use on top. The meat was a little salty but I personally enjoy it that way, other people might not though. I've eaten a gyro here before and it was good but portion was much smaller, so if you are looking for a solid portion for lunch/dinner I would definitely recommend getting the bowl!

Good service. Decent tasting product. Messy sandwich and poorly made. Not warm. Had the gyro quesadillas and pita sandwiches. Need more drink selections.

Delicious food a step beyond the usual. Chicken and gyro were moist and tasty. The Greek salad was large with fresh ingredients. We were at the 17th street causeway location.

Our fave spot for Mediterranean bowls is from Gyroville the portions are huge and they fill your bowl up with flavorful gyro meat, a ton of different toppings, & delicious sauces

Had lunch got the mixed grill bowl with rice and falafel. The gyro meat was good and the sauce bowl was flavorful. Enjoyed the bowl and the rice. The restaurant has a two tables outside and we were able to sit outside and eat. Don't forget to do the yelp check in deal.

The service was great but the food was terrible. My gyro meat was dry and hard as if it was old and/or over cooked. My falafel was doughy and stayed like dirty cooking oil. The hummus was mediocre. I wouldn't come here again.

Food is good enough when I'm in a hurry and don't want to spend a lot of money. Only complaint is that I cannot order extra Tzaziki. How can you not sell that as an appetizer?

the food is amazing here. we had the chicken platter and it was so fresh! tzatziki is delicious and the pita too. and the service is fast. they are always friendly. we will be back soon :)

Delicious. Went to the Ft. Lauderdale location and was surprised how quick and delicious the food was. I ordered a chicken gyro, fries and a coke. It was so good I went back again later in the week.

Absolutely delicious lunch! Ordered on UberEATS while in town. I got a salad with extra chicken and both the tzatziki and medichurri (very spicy). Delivery was fast, all special requests taken into account, and delicious food. Can't wait to try more things there!

This was my first time in the store and the gyro sandwich tasted salty. Next time, make it less salty.

I was starving after getting my nails done. It was just OK the food doesn't seem super fresh unfortunately the spinach and lettuce is brown and wilted .

Let me tell you about the Falafel salad- so dang good. Freshly fried falafel that looks like it is made in house. The rice, hummus, sauce- all so good. I've had the gyro pita and platters before.... Great quality and so so tasty! The portions are large to so I always end up with lunch and dinner for a low price.

The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. They recommended that I get the Philly bowl. It was filling but I wasn't crazy about it.

Fresh Fast and good options. Multiple sauces, proteins and sides. Checked in and got a free hummus side to try. Girl was super friendly and helpful. Just what I needed leaving beach and hitting the road for a long drive. Stood up at counter and ate a good gyro. Would come here again for a quick sandwich.

This place was so good over the last 5 years I do not know what happened to this place very dirty inside floor and booths etc . I tried to order chicken gyro when the women opened the container the chicken was dark brown burnt and dry and I requested fresh chicken and she refused . It was 3pm place was empty ! I asked the manager and std said take it or leave it and was extremely rude to myself and my party . I can't believe how bad the experience was. I will never return .

Ordered food in person and Apple pay was declined apparently because I didn't add a tip. My Apple pay worked perfectly 5 minutes prior. A female (owner/manager) tried to call me out as I looked for cash in my backpack. Totally unprofessional & unfriendly. I won't be back.

Very rude employees 2 women working on Friday were clueless . Chicken tasted like dried out carboard when I complained she said oh well ! Place was so clean and food was fresh- years ago! Not now the bathroom booths floor ano walls are filthy needs complete renovation I will not return !

It was a terrible experience. I could barely hear what the cashier was saying, the food wasn't fresh at all, now i have a stomach ache. The spinach was servers to me spoiled and it was just overall a terrible lunch.

I came in with My family to get a quick bite to eat. Staff was friendly. The place seemed a little messy and the floors were really sticky. I went to the bathroom and they were out of everything soap, paper towels and Tp. The food was okay but felt it was not as fresh. I was pleased with my Gyro. It was okay! I would not crave this particular spot on occasion bilirubin it did they job for what I needed at the moment.

Top notch Mediterranean grub. I gotta tell you the Greek salad was the best. Kind lady substituted grape leaves for out of stock falafel. I have a habit of arriving right before restaurants close. It's my test to see whether they'll be stocked with the full menu. The spinach pie rounded out the healthy plant based diet choices for me. Everything was super tasty and healthily cooked. Nice find for me!!

Can't believe I paid $13 for this Taco Bell sized gyro and $16 for a platter with legit maybe 1 ounce of gyro. What a joke.

Good food and fairly priced. I will be back. But please remove the mandatory tip request on the credit card from there is no table service here why are we supposed to tip?

I was so excited and hopeful to find a decent place for a falafel in a pita and perhaps some good hummus.... BOY was this a massive disappointment. THe "side order of hummus" was barely bigger than a quarter (see photo) - and this tiny tub was only 3/4 full, so literally just enough to fit on ONE of the small slices of pita that it came with. For $4.50, THAT IS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY. What a rip off. THe falafel in a pita was also a massive let down - nice size falafel but quite spicy - and they were literally throw onto the pita, a smattering of loose cucumber and tomato dropped on top, a smear of humus, and it was folder up and a toothpick roughly skewered through that did nothing to hold the soggy pita together. The whole thing just flopped open on the plate. I"m not a fan of spicy falafel, but it wasn't terrible - just not for me - but the portion size, especially the hummus, was outrageous. When we picked it up (it was takeout), we were so stunned when we saw this "side order of hummus" that we thought, it must be a mistake, and my husband went back in and said "we ordered a side order of hummus" - and the guy just shrugged and said "That's it", pointing to this tiny tiny TINY container of hummus, the kind that you'd get in a diner when they bring you a bit of mayo. SLOPPY SLOPPY presentation. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK.

Ever been so hungry that you have no idea what you want and even when you settle on something you still don't know if that's the right thing? That was me when I ended up in Gyroville. The place was dead. I actually thought it was closed and almost left, but I was so hungry I risked it. Fortunately, they were open so I could eat. The mood was very romantic inside here. Dimly lit which was odd for a place that serves gyros. I didn't really care. It actually made me feel better- less people can see me eating alone because it's so dark inside. I ordered a gyro with a side of fries. The fries were the highlight. The gyro was ok. I thought it was a little small. By the end of the meal I was still sort of hungry which overall was a let down. In general the gyro meat was good. Everything tasted good. The service was good, but just not a satisfying meal. I could have definitely eaten two gyros and would have thought nothing of it.

This review is specific to the location in Fort Lauderdale in the shopping plaza on 17th Street Causeway. I used to like going here for lunch. The prices were on the higher side but lately, today I felt scammed. My coworker and I ordered two salads. We both were charged an upcharge for "build a salad" even though one salad had fewer ingredients and the other had no modification from the whatsoever. Two small vegetarian salads in Styrofoam boxes and soft drinks ended up being $36. The falafels were soggy and mushy. Any modification (even if it is for fewer ingredients) result in an upcharge. This restaurant is off my list of places to go. Try La Bamba, Joe's Cafe, Duffy's, Quarter Deck, and even high-priced Panera instead.

Do yourself a favor when you are visiting Fort Lauderdale and come to this Gyroville! The service is friendly and phenomenal. These guys want you to continue your good day or turn your bad day into a good one! So nice! The food was great! I had a Grilled Chicken Rice Bowl plus lots of veggies and it was fantastic. I got the tzatziki on the side and, while it is very good and fresh, my rice bowl had so much flavor from the fixin's that I didn't need to use any of it. *Bonus for my calorie intake for the day. This was really a great lunch spot and would highly recommend it. Enjoy!

We received very good service, I enjoyed a traditional gyro. With Fries. At a reasonable price. Everything was fresh and made to order. The young lady who helped us was friendly. She took pride in presenting a well made Gyro. Good job!

The most disgusting falafels I've ever had. This is my second time trying them- I thought it was just a bad batch on my first try. They taste like a ball of salt.

The food quality was subpar, rice was dry, side cucumbers were not fresh, there was a funny smell in the gyro. The restaurant itself was not very clean either, flies were flying around since the trash didn't have a cover. I wouldn't recomendable it to anyone

If I could give 3.5 Stars I would. Gyro was solid, they advertise fresh cut fries and I watched a guy pour them out of a brown bag into the fryer and put back in freezer. So not Fresh. If you want a quick Gyro it's not bad.

Great little chain that serves fresh food that was tasty and fast. Big portions and healthy options. Perfect for a quick lunch or takeout for the whole office!

I've dined here many times and am always impressed with food. You can dine in or get it to go. You order at the counter and they assemble it in front of you. I always get the gyro meat. They warm up the pita and then you can fill it with your preferred toppings. I had the tzatziki, cucumbers, chopped tomatoes, spicy red sauce, mixed greens, and red onion. All ingredients are fresh. It is a large serving. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There is free parking in the attached parking lot.

I usually come here and really like the food. But coming here today there was a man ordering who was sticking his arm over the glass pointing his fingers at all the food. The guy making the food didn't say anything at all and let him do it in front of other customers! What is the point of having protective glass to protect the food if someone is sticking their arm over it and practically touching all the food?????? Disgusting and we won't be back. I'm sure a health inspector wouldn't be happy to see that either...

OMG I had to call Mia and Tutu and tell them the chicken gyro was as serious as a migraine!! First time ordering and so fresh, so tasty, so full of big bites of chicken and plenty of veggies (that did not outshine the chicken!). If I wasn't so full, I'd eat it again for dinner. I couldn't even eat the cucumber salad I was so full and I CAN EAT! but I can't wait to finish it for dinner and I will be back. I used UberEats and it came fast, fresh, traveled well. Just perfect. Get In Here. You'll love it!

New Year's Eve, 5:45pm and my family wants a quick and relatively cheap meal. We called to see how late they were open and ran from our hotel to make it by 6:00pm. The guys making the food were very nice and helpful, offered samples of sauces we asked about, and didn't seem annoyed that we walked in 5 minutes before closing on a holiday. I got the build your own pita with chicken. It was a whole chicken breast, with toppings of my choice including tzatziki, several kinds of cucumber/tomato mixes, olives, lettuce, etc. For $7 and some change it was a pretty good meal for a touristy area. Good for a quick sandwich, but it's not a traditional Mediterranean restaurant.

i went there friday afternoon, normally i give excellent 5 star reviews, bought a regular gyro, meat was in the hot pan a bit to long,cut was thick and dried out, ate 1/3rd and thru it out. hopefully it won't happen again.

How is this place is still in business?!?! Only in south Florida a place can serve Garbage "middle eastern" food and get away with it lmao. My friend was craving middle eastern food and since it was Saturday and the real Israel authentic places are closed for Shabbat we've decided to try Gyroville...huge mistake! I don't even know how to describe this crap being Israeli myself. I'm glad I didn't have to pay for it, she did! Lol.

Comparatively to the neighboring restaurants it is a delicious lunch and dinner. I did the build your own gyro and was happily surprised with the different options they had. I did the lamb (duh) but the fresh falafel looked good too. Go for the hummus and & tzatziki!

Rubbery and lukewarm gyros since they cut the meat and store it in a warmer. The pita never saw a cooktop or griddle. Both limp and not even warm enough. Too bad, since the products are O.K....just poor preparation. More than two customers creates chaos in this place.

I work in the same building as them and walk by them all the time. My friends and coworkers eat there often and always recommend it so today I decided to try it. Definitely glad I did! The guy behind the counter was real friendly and helpful since I really didn't know what I was ordering being a fast food junkie. He made everything fresh right in front of me. I ordered the traditional gyro combo with fries. I also used the Yelp check in coupon to get a free side of hummus and pita. I was afraid the meal was going to be small but I was wrong. I ate the gyro, half of the fries and didn't even touch the hummus and pita. Looks like I have leftovers for later. The food was delicious and they will definitely get more of my business in the future. They have a nice dining area which has a restaurant type of look and feel. For your beverage you can choose a fountain drink or something from their fridge. I definitely will tell others to try this place out. Now I need a nap!

Fantastic food! Awesome customer service! Lots of options! This place is great! We had been wanting to try this place out for awhile and since they have a Groupon out we decided to try it! We walked in and were immediately greeted. The staff was very helpful with decisions and explaining anything we had questions about! All of their options are displayed on a tv screen with everything you can pick from! Rice bowls, Gyros, Platters, Sandwiches, Soups and more! They have lots of ingredients that you can add to whatever you decide on! Along with great flavorful sauces that will enhance your meal. I was in search of something out of the ordinary and decided this place fits the bill. First time in so I didn't know the program on where to order so I was summoned to the end by the guy working the counter. I looked over the menu board and pretty much wanted to keep it simple and order a Gyro. I checked in on Yelp and redeemed the free offer for hummus offer. Traditional Gyro includes lettuce, tomato, onion and tzatziki sauce on a pita and that's exactly what I went with. I love there mantra "live fresh" and they stand behind it because everything was super fresh. I dined in and did my usual, catch up on the news while dining. Definitely going to be back for more, the food was amazing and the service was fast and friendly.

The food was delicious and plentiful. The chicken was well seasoned and still juicy. Great meal for this weary traveler.

Our dinner today here was supposed to be a pickup just for me. My sons wanted to eat elsewhere. However, when we entered, the boys decided to join me as well. We ordered one traditional gyro and two of the Zeus. Both were very delicious! Fresh, made to order. My only concern is that the gyro was a bit pricey for its size. The traditional was $7.70 and the Zeus coming in at $9.70. Considered their meat is halal, I will consider going back again On a side note, the boy at the counter was super nice and even allowed me to use a 15% off coupon, which helped. Clean, friendly staff, good food - all positives

Was really craving a gyro. Ordered a Traditional Gyro Combo and wanted the falafel in place of the frie. Was told i couldn't do that even though it says on the menu I could. Anyways, ended up with some gyro meat some sort of salad and 4 pita triangles on a platter. Ordered two more pitas and they forgot them.

Extremely fresh food! Well made too The staff is great and the place is clean. Will recommend.
