"Taking over the DTF space is a restaurant called Wagyu House from a company called Chubby Cattle; the new spot will offer "all-you-can-eat wagyu hot pot and Japanese barbecue, in addition to a la carte items and chef’s tasting menus for two that start at $188 and peak at $999." The Business Journal says Wagyu House plans to open in December." - Harry Cheadle

"Beef lovers should make a beeline for this import from Japan, which puts a Japanese spin on the more common Korean barbecue places in the area. Meats are high-quality, and the menu offers all kinds of cuts of cow. The best bargain is one of the happy hour specials, which offer a good sampling of the menu. Dessert fans will of course want to save room for the limited edition Lady M green tea mille crepe." - Jay Friedman

"The first Washington location of Japanese sensation Gyu-Kaku is now “softly open” in Bellevue, which just means it’s taking a limited number of reservations as the staff eases into full swing. The international chain specializes in yakiniku, Japan’s version of Korean barbecue. The menu showcases signature dry-aged, miso-brushed beef, and this outpost may add a few local specialties." - Megan Hill

Google
Three of us split the Meat Lovers BBQ combo set. It was just about the right amount of food. The service is *fast*. Plates and dishes kept coming out, and empty dishes were taken away really quickly. The stoves are great- no smoke at all. The servers also offered to replace our grates several times throughout the meal, so nothing got super charred. The meat was mostly very good, if a little chewy. We felt like it was a little overpriced for what we got, which is fair. At $40+ per person, the portions were not overly large. The s’mores at the end of the meal is a cute touch. It was fun for an occasion tho.

Google
Our server Aria was amazing! Very attentive and friendly, everything you want in an excellent server. We are from Canada and frequent the one in Richmond, BC. I was glad I could use my points from the app too. The meat and experience was the same, just perfect for grilling!

Google
I celebrated my birthday at Gyu-Kaku today and had lunch. The service was excellent; everyone was very patient and attentive. The beef was delicious! They also provided birthday services like a light-up sign and singing. Thank you so much!

Google
The food was awesome. However when server took us to the table my wife did not like facing the kitchen so we kindly asked to switch to another table. He immediately rolled his eye and gave us an attitude and took us to another table. Like I said the food was really good but the service could improve a lot.

Google
Loved the seafood and chicken we tried at this place. They do have a good variety of pescatarian and vegetarian options too. Their garlic fried was the best I have ever had. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Definitely coming back!

Google
First timer. We loved the experience and menu. The pork belly ramen was delicious, the meats were perfectly marinated, and even my picky 11 year old was happy with their meal.

Google
Excellent food and quick service. A good experience, something different than a typical dinner.

Google
Friendly service. We had a reservation and sat on time. The fried apps all tasted the same. They should think about cleaning the oil. Any dish with garlic was yummy. Highly recommend. Loved the garlic rice and broccoli. Prices are quite reasonable

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been back here but we decided to come here to celebrate my sister's birthday. It was far beyond my expectation. Miguel deserves a raise and more! He (and staff) definitely made the experience for my sister's birthday memorable. I would totally recommend this place for a family gathering where you can enjoy good food, good company and great customer service. The ambiance and surrounding was awesome, we were seated on these bench chairs that's quite comfortable and spacious for us to interact with one another. Totally recommend this place.

Yelp
Had an amazing dinner at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ recently! We opted for the BBQ for 3, which came in at $165, and it was a feast. The experience of grilling our own meats at the table was a blast, and everything tasted fantastic. We tried so many dishes, starting with a fresh salad and flavorful miso soup. For starters, the beef sukiyaki bibimbap was a standout, and the pork filet skewers were juicy and delicious. The garlic noodles with chicken had a great kick, and the spicy takoyaki was a perfect appetizer. When it came to the BBQ, the kalbi short rib, skirt steak, filet mignon, ribeye, pork belly, and shrimp were all top-notch. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the variety was impressive. The broccoli with cheese was a nice touch, adding a bit of veggie goodness to our meal. To wrap things up, we indulged in the Oreo basket with deep-fried Oreos for dessert, which was a sweet and fun end to our meal. We also ordered the house sake, which was smooth and complemented the BBQ nicely. Overall, Gyu-Kaku delivered an incredible dining experience with great food, fun grilling, and excellent service. Highly recommend it if you're looking for a memorable BBQ night!

Yelp
The beef is so delicious!! But that day the waiter was definitely not in a good mood. I can feel that he is impatient to help us with changing the BBQ net. It is clean inside and the smell is not as strong as I thought.

Mellissa B.

Yelp
I like eating here and the portions are really spot on when the Menü says it feeds a party of six it can and will feed a party of six!! So I usually get the meals for larger groups. The service is good too!! And of course my favorite part is s'mores at the of the meal.

Mar F.

Yelp
Everything went well, everything exceeded expectations. It's a must every time in Bellevue!

Yelp
A great deal for lunch! Been a long-time fan of Gyu-Kaku in California and been driving past this place for so long, finally coming here for SRW. The only reason why I didn't go to Gyu-Kaku's other locations more often is because of their heafty price, but I always enjoyed their set menus quality meat. Since the last time I went to one, they added AYCE for dinner, which I'll definitely be coming back for. There's a decent amount of options for their lowest set at $58. But for SRW, rice, salad, miso soup, an appetizer, 2 meat dishes, vegetable, and dessert - so much food! Only for $20. And a very fun experience for my two guests who went to their first Gyu-Kaku. They demanded to come back the next week.

Julie D.

Yelp
Honestly, I had a good time. My friends and I had a reservation for Friday night, and thank goodness we did because the place was PACKED. The service was quick and friendly, and changed out our grills and cleaned away empty plates in a very quick and efficient manner. We got the AYCE option, and the meats were good! My only complaint was that basically every meat had some sort of sweet marinade on it, and the flavors quickly blended together. Maybe we just didn't order the right cuts, but I still thought it was good anyway. I looooved the shishito peppers, fried pork gyoza dumplings, and the s'mores dessert at the end!

Hung T.

Yelp
I love this place for Japanese BBQ lunch. They have a great lunch menu that offers a good balance of price, variety, and quality. The meat portions are not big, but they come with miso soup, rice, and salad. You can also upgrade to premium meat or double the portions for an extra fee. I suggest you try the garlic fried rice. It's much more flavorful and filling than the regular white rice. One rice upgrade is enough for two people if you get full easily like we do. We usually choose the 3-item option per person and share the meat, so we can enjoy up to 6 different kinds of meat. Our favorites are Angus, Toro, Kalbi Chuck, Beef Tongue, Prime Kalbi, and Duck Breast. We sometimes order two of the same meat, especially Angus or Toro, because they don't cost extra. The atmosphere is cozy and casual, with friendly staff and fast service. The restaurant is clean and well-decorated, with a nice view of the street. The parking is free and easy, as there is a large parking lot next to the restaurant. You don't have to worry about finding a spot or paying a meter. I don't go here for dinner, though, because it's too pricey for the small portions. If you want to go here for dinner, check out their Happy Hours. Don't forget to book your table through Yelp/Google because it can get busy sometimes. The lunch menu is only available on weekdays, which is a bit inconvenient, but it's worth it for the food quality. I will definitely come back again whenever I can.

Danielle D.

Yelp
Food is great. Customer service is good. And you cannot beat the price for how much they give you. The garlic noodles are a must with whatever you order!

James A.

Yelp
I always get the 3 meat combo for take out. Pretty good portion. Comes with salad and soup as well. Good price!

Coleen P.

Yelp
Gyu Kaku has always held a special place in my heart since my college days and I have been to many different ones throughout the years. Unfortunately, this one is by far the worst of them all. The food is good, as usual, but the facilities here are so old and worn down :( The leather on the chairs are chipped and the cushion on them are are so old that you sink so far down when you sit on them. There are many nicks and dings on the table. The service, although really nice and welcoming, was also slow and painful. I think they're just in dire need of an interior update and more staffing... then all will be good!

Jinny C.

Yelp
Finally got a chance to try Gyu-Kaku during Seattle Restaurant Week and it truly won me over! The value of the meal was phenomenal, with salad, rice, miso soup, and an appetizer choice to start, two bbq items, a veggie choice, and dessert. I ordered the chicken karaage, the yaki shabu beef, the toro beef, and spinach garlic. Everything was delicious and the rice and salad helped balance out some of the heavily seasoned items. Service was attentive as well, and I appreciated that the staff gave out the SRW menus as a default along with the regular menus.

Tiffany T.

Yelp
Came with some friends during lunch and it was great! We got a combo that was able to feed all three of us. The server was quick and the food was out before we knew it. It wasn't too busy around the time we went but it definitely picked up while we were leaving. The s'mores at the end were such a fun touch that we really enjoyed and really brought the whole meal together. The fire makes the whole experience really cozy. Would definitely come back!

Joanne P.

Yelp
Ordered a beef sukiyaki bowl but it was missing beef. Why pay $16 for mediocre fried rice?

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
Really great option for either AYCE Japanese bbq or if you just want a small nibble. Best coming during non peak hours, and it's nice how they have a happy hour option which includes cheaper meat dishes, as well as already set entrees like the rice bowl or noodles. Keep in mind that their side dishes for their AYCE options are huge. And they will charge you per item if you food waste. Tons of time to eat, so order accordingly. Their service was quick, and attentive. They offered us kids plates, and also scissors to help cut our food smaller for the kids, without me having to ask. The kids loved the meats, and the corn, and of course the marshmallow roasting at the end. They loved the experience of cooking their own food, and dipping it in the sauce options. All honesty, their meats are not bad quality for AYCE, but not the best. we stuck two to two options of the beef. The pork belly was also good. But didn't want to pay and extra $10 or $20 for the other premium options and we were very content. Lots of good side options that kept the variety in taste, texture and non mean options alive. Would go again! Definitely a treat for the kids. We made reservations through open table which was quick and easy! Don't forget to download their app for even more perks.

Chris R.

Yelp
Good food and busy. It is a little noisy due to the crowd but not so bad that you feel like you are yelling. The server did forget a couple of items but it was ok as we had plenty to eat.

Kimseam C.

Yelp
We got the combo set that was meant for 2 people with 3 of us eating. It was the right amount of food as one of my friends wasn't as hungry. It was a decent price for the high quality meats that we got! The workers were very attentive and helpful.

T N.

Yelp
Impeccable service!! Delicious food with decent portions. The booths were also pretty private, and somehow there wasn't any smoke. Miguel, an employee here, was immensely accommodating the second we walked in!

Maria Cristina B.

Yelp
This was fun, interactive and super fresh. You grill your own meat and they bring lots of side dishes. We really enjoyed everything. Staff was amazing although at the front desk, the person was on a call and took quite awhile to acknowledged us. But once we got to the table, the staff was on top of it and really treated us to a great dining experience.

Shannon C.

Yelp
This place was great, came here for lunch for my fiancés birthday and had a nice time. Loved that they had s'mores but they were a bit pricy. It was a fun time though. The food was tasty with lots of options including seafood and vegetarian. I hope we can go again sometime and try the other meats.

Talbert F.

Yelp
This place was very tasty and the selections were fun. Tha garlic rice was fantastic and making smores here was fun.

Yelp
Lunch Special Monday through Frisay is the best value. You can pick 2 types of meat for $15.95, or 3 types for $19.95, with some meat costing extra. It also comes with miso soup, salad, and rice. It was pretty full when we arrived on a Friday at 1PM, but luckily we didn't have to wait for a table. I heard the wait on weekends can be over an hour long, so making a reservation for the weekend is highly recommended. The two of us ordered 6 types of meat, first 4 on the menu (Angus beef rib, Umakara ribeye, Toro beef, Yaki-shabu beef), Kalbi chunk rib +$3 and beef tongue +$6. I can't figure out which ones I liked the most because everything tasted good. I don't recommend the beef tongue (not worth the extra money, and recommend thinner marinated meat because it's more flavorful and doesn't take too long to cook. We also ordered Garlic Fried Rice +$2, Garlic Mushroom +$2, and last but not least, corn cheese $6.95. We spent about $40 each, and had a small amount of leftover. Service was good - the grill was changed when needed (just once), abd we got refills for water regularly.

Sean Y.

Yelp
Totally forgot the meat picture. We got a whole set about $120 for 3 ppl. The portion looks small but actually it's very stuffing. We ended up so full and even did not finish the rice. The combo comes with many side dishes like fried miso soup, calimori, salad, dessert ... Meat quality is at standard level, not very impressive or taste the quality, at least it's fresh. Not much service was involved, the server were pretty busy in a Thursday night even tho it seemed not that full on that night. Overall is ok experience. No impressive memory about the food or service.

Nathan D.

Yelp
Great food and service. Our waitress was always helpful and friendly. We went with the three person meat variety set for our son's graduation dinner and he enjoyed it all. We will probably order individual selects next time but great to try a variety at first. Everything at the table was clean and the place felt great for any kind of get together.

Ciara L.

Yelp
Good options. We came in a party of 5, got the meal that was set up for a party of 4 and ordered some ramen too. Filled us all up. It's fun being able to grill, but a little tiring being in the middle Service was on par with other restaurants. Appetizers were pretty good but if you compare it to Swish Swish (although that's hot pot), Swish Swish has better appetizers in my opinion. I think that the noodles were really good here though (garlic noodles and ramen). Fried sushi is yum but the consistency of the tuna is very mashed and soft. I like more solid tuna. Meat was good. I think it could've been more marinated, but I could have also just dipped more sauces with it. I liked the bbq pork. Tip- ask for white rice and ask about the sauce options. Had the matcha ice cream for dessert and it was really creamy!

Alyssa W.

Yelp
This was a fantastic experience. Great location (just above tesla in Bellevue) now I know where to grab a bite when stopping by the mothership. The service. 5/5. Our server was Alex. Everything was out super fast. He explained what each thing was and how long to cook it for best results. And each time a plate was emptied he was there to swoop it away. Shockingly the place was super super busy which to me late on a Thursday evening tells me this is a great place. But despite it being busy the service was excellent. The tables 4/5 many of the tables have a mesh like divider. It does give you a. Semblance of privacy but you can see the people next to you and hear their go conversations. Would be nice for less mesh and more just divider. The food! The food was super yummy. My hubby and I shared the meat lovers with an added spicy pork. Not one thing disappointed. The one highlight for me was the chicken appy. Seriously the moistest juiciest tenderest pieces of chicken I've ever had. I'd come back just for them! Food 5/5 I will be back here Thank you for a lovely evening.

Julie T.

Yelp
I love Gyu-Kaku and all the food items are amazing. My favorite appetizer is the tuna poke, the wonton chips and seaweed is a nice combo with the tuna. The Gyu-Kaku salad is my favorite and would choose that over rice. All the meats are amazing, my favorite is the beef tongue, it literally melts in your mouth. I also highly recommend to download their app, get some points each time you visit them. You can redeem them for some meats or for a certain dollar amount off your meal. Service is friendly and the restaurant is spacious. I highly recommend a reservation. Parking is super to easy, they have a nice lot.

Bee M.

Yelp
Our kids favorite dinner spot. We get the same dishes every time and it doesn't disappoint. The servers are attentive and the ambiance is perfect for families and big parties. We love the kalbi short ribs, garlic chicken thighs, harami steak, garlic fried rice, cheese wontons, corn cheese and always a veggie.

Alice L.

Yelp
Meet quality is good and there is a wide variety of marinated beef and pork. The shrimp was super yummy too and big. Appetizers are seasoned well - we enjoyed the spicy cucumbers, gyoza, and spicy cabbage. But I must say that it wasn't quite all you can eat - it was all you can eat that the grill can cook within 90 minutes. The grill cooked slowly and we were a group of 6. Also some of the portions that came to us were like 5 gyoza, or 4 shrimp - not divisible by or from 6.

John C.

Yelp
For the price you kind of get a lot and not a lot at the same time. Make sure before you go that you download the Gyu-kaku app so that you can get the $10 off $30 coupon and accumulate points. I recommend making an account and downloading the app the day before to give you enough time. I got the Meat Lover's combo and came at the Happy Hour time because I was considering between value course and Meat Lover's. The Meat Lover's came with more items so that's what I went with and upgraded to bibimbap and galbi. In general it's a fun meal and the customer service is good, however the reason I didn't love it is that the marinated meats skew to the sweet side. I would prefer more umami or even slightly spicy. The meats that you can grill there are better plain, but aren't included in the courses. So for over $100 for dinner its definitely pricy! I will say it's always fun to end with the s'mores.

Sophia L.

Yelp
One of my go to spots when it comes to bbq. Food is great quality and for someone as indecisive as me, its nice that they have pre set courses depending on the size of the group. Ordered the meat lover when I was my grandma and the yakiniku when I went out with my family of 5. Great for catering to all groups. Love the miso soup, gyu sushi, kalbi, ribeye, and pork in the combo were my favorites. The smores at the end were absolute treats. Some/most have happy hour prices which is 3-5pm and 8:30-10pm. These are usually the less busy hours.

Mai L.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. Their Wagyu beef was really yummy and the rice stone pot. Sake tasted pretty good hot. Service is awesome. They checked on you every few minutes or so. Ambience is medium low lights. Booth seating is comfortable. We always come back each time we want Korean bbq.

Connie W.

Yelp
Gyukaku is a pretty acceptable bbq spot. It is fairly clean and decently ventilated. Plus, the service was fairly fast and attentive. However, I felt that the food could be a bit better for the price. If we could give half stars, I would give Gyukaku 3.5/5. We ordered the Gyukaku feast (6 people) and it came with an assortment of side dishes + meats. The gyu-sushi was not good. It's basically a nigiri but with a slice of beef instead of fish. I thought that the lean piece of meat was too chewy (+ unseasoned) to enjoy and the rice immediately fell apart when picking up. It seemed like regular rice instead of sushi rice so it didn't stick together very well. The tofu chigae, salad, and gyoza were fine; nothing in particular to praise or complain about. I enjoyed the sukiyaki bibimbap, although I wanted to note that its better as a shared side dish to grilled meats than a individual entree, since most of the bowl is just rice (with a few pieces of meat on top). The filet mignon was concerning to me because the meat looked very brown compared to the red color of the other meats, as if it was not fresh. The other meats were pretty decent! It's a step above the average AYCE place, but not the best for a la carte bbq restaurants. They provided 3 types of dipping sauce for the bbq meats- one of them was citrus-y and sour, while the other two were quite sweet. Personally I thought the two sweet sauces were too aggressively sweet and I wished that they had a more neutral salty dipping option. Overall, I think Gyukaku is a pretty middle of the road bbq restaurant- its not the worst and its not the best. I would probably skip ordering some of the appetizers next time.

Tarek H.

Yelp
I've been a regular at this place for the past few months, and I must say the service consistently exceeds expectations. The staff genuinely makes you feel valued, always going the extra mile. Tipping is a no-brainer here. And the food, it's simply outstanding! My personal favorite is the hanger steak - it's tender, high-quality, and the broccoli with fondue cheese is the perfect complement. Something a lot of reviewers don't talk about is pricing, I actually found the pricing to be competitive, you can truly get full for 25-35 dollars and feel like a king who just had some high quality food. Overall this is now a staple on my go-to list.

Mike H.

Yelp
Excellent lunch combo deal. Plenty of food and very affordable. I would return for the toro beef.

My D.

Yelp
Service was pretty bad today. We mentioned several times the grill was not hot and the fire even went out 3 times. The servers changed the top grill but that did not solve the issue. They should have changed our table because the grill was defective or out of propane. Instead, we were told to be patient and wait for the grill to heat up. Pros: - meat was good quality Cons: - defective grill - lack of a solution from servers - egg rolls were still frozen on the inside I usually like this chain but this experience was very disappointing and frustrating. We were not able to enjoy our meal. Imagine trying to cook $100 worth of meat (including pork) over one small flame that keeps dying out.

Art Y.

Yelp
Ambiance: not a lot of it. It's noisy and it is a face-paced eating place Food quality: it was so so. The meats were marinaded to death and has a high amount of sugar. Way too sweet, like a dessert meat. The beef cubes were chewy and not quite edible. Service: Front desk does not go an extra mile. I arrived and gave her a reservation # and she said they ONLY go by name. I did not have a name and she ordered me to sit at the front desk and wait for my party. I felt under-serviced and almost felt I was going there to ask for a free meal. Price: it was a $26 lunch. To me, it's quite pricey and the service did not match the price. Will go there again? Probably not.

Jon O.

Yelp
Always fun to do this kind of grill-your-own lunch! The lunch specials are a pretty good deal, you get to choose from a variety of beef cuts, along with chicken, shrimp, etc. I had three types of beef with my combo, and all were marinated nicely and were flavorful. My wife thought the shrimp was good but the chicken just average. There are three types of dipping sauces, so it's fun to mix and match to your tastes. Service was a bit odd. Our server was attentive, but perhaps too attentive as he constantly hovered around our table. The woman who brought our meats was friendly, but she spoke so softly we couldn't hear her descriptions and had to ask to repeat twice. Not good in a place where loud fans are constantly going. Also took a while to get our bill at the end.

Marie R.

Yelp
While I wish we had more Japanese BBQ places in the Seattle Metropolitan area, I'd be perfectly happy as long as we have Guy Kaku. The creamy cheesy corn is just an indulgence. The corn, the butter, and the cheese all together is almost like a treat. Everything we have ordered here has been amazing. Not just good, but amazing! Their sauces, the marinated meats, the salad, the miso soup, etc. I always make a reservation when I go here because I read early on that they get super busy. The last time we were here, a family was trying to get in without a reservation and they were so annoyed that they had to wait. Well, sadly that is what happens sometimes when you try to go to a popular spot on Mother's Day! We have been to the other two Japanese BBQ around and while they weren't bad, they simply couldn't compare to Gyu-Kaku!

Mia K.

Yelp
Great place for meat lovers. A cook-it-yourself-at the table BBQ chain (700 locations!) from Japan. Value here is getting a variety of thinly sliced meats within one meal from one of their set courses. Went in at noon on a weekday and barely had to wait except the time to seat 3 groups before us. Got the Lunch Set for 2 ($49.95) to share among 4 people. Added a few a la carte items. The table quickly got covered with plates. Felt like lunch was a good value 4.5* Short wait for dinner. Had gotten the Chef's Favorite BBQ set Course for 2 people ($95) and it was more than enough. Supplemented with a few more a la carte veg plates. 4* Meats quality of most meat cuts are just alright. They say their bestseller is Hirami Skirt Steak in miso marinade and the Certified Angus Kalbi Short Rib. Personal favorite was the Toro Beef. 4* Salad/veg salad is very light and not too filling. A la carte Veg plates are only handful of thinly slices veg. 3* Bibimbap is not the traditional veg-filled bibimbap but more rice mixed with jus/sauce so mainly oily sweet soy sauce flavored rice 2* Karaage well seasoned, lightly battered crispy small bites. Easy to share. 4* S'mores marshmallow can be softened rather than toasted golden. No way to melt the chocolate so not the best s'mores. 2* Service -nice but sometimes had to put in effort to get his attention because the place was busy -good about changing out the grilling grate Located -in the NW plaza at NE 20th St & 148th Ave NE -1 block south of the 148th exit on 520 eastbound

Yelp
I came for lunch to use my $10 off $30 and some reward points. First I told staff to use those deals. We ordered a plate of Bistro Hanger Steak Miso, 2 plate of Toro beef, a plate of Umami spicy shrimps, a plate of Steamed chili pork dumplings and an Avocado salad. This time I knew how to adjust the heat, so I was able to grill without burning like last time. It is recommended to grill most of them on medium heat. Avocado salad came but salad ball was not clean and sticky. We asked staff to change ball...look like just dumped salad into a different ball. Water taste like a chlorine. At the end changed us for drinks we didn't order. We were disappointed and not very happy.

Yelp
Been to 3-4 Gyu-Kaku's across the country (and in Vancouver) and this one was not up to par. Some of the meats weren't quality and the dishes came out very sporadically. I'm talking like over the span of 45 minutes they slowly trickled in. Also, the crew cleaning the table behind us kept pushing our seats so that was pretty disruptive. Food: 6/10 Service: 6/10 Experience: 4/10 Value: 5/10

Yelp
Aaah! I love this place. When I was pregnant and had GD, this place i could always go bc it wouldn't raise my blood sugar lol. The meat selections great and lunch is a great value. I really like their marinated meat flavors and it's so fun just to cook your own food. The place always busy so I would try to book a seating. Also, download their app and use it scan your meal after you pay to get discounts!

Yelp
This place is amazing! Great combos for a good price if you have a group of 2 or more. Everything is so well seasoned and has great flavor. The hangar steak is great. Service and employees are so nice.

Yelp
One of the few Japanese BBQ grill places in the greater Seattle area and one of my favorite BBQ grill places in general. A little bit on the pricier side but the quality is decent for what you get. I would come again with a group of friends since BBQ is best enjoyed with company! Food The Yakiniku BBQ course was excellent and I would recommend it for 3 to 4 people! I split it with 4 people, but was not close to being full but I think 3 people would have been perfect (although I can eat a lot). The starters and food all came out pretty fast and everything tasted amazing. One of my favorite starters was the chicken garlic noodles. The meat all tasted great on the grill and seemed high quality. Remember to cook for recommended time and don't let them burn! Yaki shabu and kalbi were some of my favorite meats that I would order a la carte in the future. Our table also ordered the beef sukiyaki bibimbap separately since we were going to still be hungry. Loved that it comes out on a hot bowl. Atmosphere Casual, laid back atmosphere for coming with friends, coworkers, and family. The tables all have a fire grill built into the table. Can be loud at times though, but probably depends on your crowd. Chairs are a little weird since some tables have a cushioned bench. Pricing On the more expensive side for BBQ grilling, but I feel like the food was worth it. This place does NOT have AYCE. Worth trying once if you've never tried Japanese style BBQ. Service Service was pretty good and fast for a Saturday at around noon. We were seated almost immediately for a group of 8 people since we arrived right when they opened at 11:30am. Just got to make sure you are able to wave at someone when you are ready for a grill change. Other Ample parking and easy to see deiving in since it's right next to the road.

Yelp
woah SLOW SERVICE!! Well, up until closing time when they RUSHED us through the check and were lowkey RUDE to my bf. Our server (Mei?) was helpful at first but completely disappeared after we ordered our second round. Empty waters, empty beer pints, grill fired up with nothing on it for about 30 minutes. Finally Kang came up to us after a looong wait and was very cordial, but we were disappointed and changed our minds about dessert by then and just decided to take the check. Also, missed opportunity on offering drinks again, we totally would have done a second round of alcohol if the server was around. Btw they totally rushed us through the check, some other guy on the floor took the check from my hands as soon as my boyfriend handed me his credit card. After my bf was finished signing the receipt, he was holding the check book and that same guy said from across the dining room: "Just leave it on the table" like jeeez we just finished signing and have visited a restaurant before. We know how to leave a check. Idk i don't think they have a break schedule for their servers or DISHWASHERS and it shows -_- Not fair that we waited so long to close out the check AND they rush us and made a rude comment to my bf!! Nah, we'll go to the other bbq places on our side of the water in Seattle next time.

Yelp
I love coming because the meat is just so tender and flavorful. The grill cooks the meat perfectly. It's delicious. I love how inviting the environment is as well. If you come here for lunch, it's a good deal. 3 plates of meat for $20 with rice, salad, & miso soup. They also have bundles you can pick from. I would try this if it's your first time here but I prefer picking my own meat because I know what I like. They have so many meat options even Wagyu along with all the other things on their menu.

Yelp
We can hungry, and this place did not disappoint! I always ate at gyu kaku back home (HAWAII) but never knew we had one here! I'm super excited as the price for the food is great. They usually give you an option of buffet or ala carte, but depending on when you come in, if it's happy hour, you would get a lot more choices for a good price if you go with ala carte. Our service here was awesome! Our waiter was super attentive and really polite. They accommodated my big family and we got seated rather quickly. Everything was explained to us, as a refresher. My kids enjoyed the smores at the end of our lunch!
