"This Japanese BBQ chain gets busy, so we suggest making a reservation if you're bringing a group or coming during Happy Hour. Inside there’s a small bar and a few booths where you can grill your own meats for around $40 a person. You’ll see all of the Japanese BBQ headliners here, like sukiyaki, bone-in kalbi, toro beef, umakara ribeye, and seafood—all marinated in miso, shio, or sweet soy tare. The quality of meat is good for the price. Just don’t burn it while telling a story about that weird thing you saw online." - Candis R. McLean

OMG, this was so good. Sometimes, I get overwhelmed by menus, so we had what they called an Adventure Course. It was perfect for us to try several different options. When I go back, I will not waste my taste buds with soda pop..lol.. too many other wonderful tastes to enjoy! The staff was beyond wonderful. The hostess was so knowledgeable and enjoyable as I waited for my full group to arrive. Our server was a gem. She was a joy to be with.

I usually come here during dinner time, but this time I visited in the afternoon. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t like it usually is. I had to wait at the front desk for a while, and no one came to seat me—I ended up stopping a waitress to ask for a table myself. Also, my takoyaki came with sweet chili sauce on half of it, which was unexpected since that sauce isn’t supposed to be there at all. I mentioned it to the lady at checkout, and she kindly offered to make a new one, but I had already eaten most of it and said it was okay. This place is usually my go-to spot with my family on the weekends, so I’m hoping this was just an off day. I look forward to a better experience next time.

Since we have never been to a Japanese BBQ place where you cook your own protein, I scoured reviews to find out how and what to order. I couldn't find a review anywhere that discussed A la Carte vs. All You Can Eat ordering, or how much of which protein is in the 3oz portions that they serve. So after studying the menu for a long time, I came up with a plan the night before our dinner that worked out perfectly for four adults. First, let me say that our server was great. She had a lot of tables but be-bopped around so fast that we were never in need of anything. We also appreciated the fact that she changed our grill grate out three times during our meal. The place is nothing special on the inside, but the booths were comfortable. I decided that A La Carte was the best option for us. Here is what we ordered, how much is in each serving, and what we thought. Our party of four finished every bit of food and were full at the end. This is important because you are not allowed to take home any leftovers. So as not to waste money or food, it's may be best to under-order and add on as you go. This amount was perfect: Appetizers: Chicken Karage- 6 pieces- breading was good on all dark meat chicken. Black Pepper Wings - 6 pieces- fantastic! Garlic Fried Rice - big clay bowl full of very flavorful rice. We only needed one for the table. We all loved it. Veggies: Garlic Mushroom - served in tinfoil that you cook on the grate for 6 minutes. Broccoli - Same sauce as the mushrooms. Both of these were great. Zucchini - 4 large pieces cooked directly on the grate - nothing special. Shishito peppers - 8 pieces cooked directly on the grate - nothing special. Proteins: Spicy Shrimp - 4 pieces - they were spicy! Spicy Pork - a handful of spicy pork pieces - again, spicy! Chicken with Teriyaki Marinade - 6 pieces - very good. NY Strip with Garlic Marinade - 4 nice sized strips - fantastic!! Filet with S&P - 6 medium sized pieces - very lovely. Yaki Shabu with Sweet Soy Tare Marinade - a ice cream scoop mound of thin meat that was hard to cook. Would not order again. (In foreground of photo) Harami Skirt Steak with Shio Marinade - 8 pieces - this was our favorite of the night next to the strip. Bistro Hangar with Miso Marinade - 6 to 8 pieces - also very tasty. The Chili Mayo sauce was our favorite. The Kuki wasabi was straight wasabi. I would order all the sauces they offer next time. The food was brought out somewhat portioned, but generally there was no room left on the table during most of our meal. There was lots of reaching and dipping and chopsticks everywhere, and it was so much fun! Our bill for the food (not including drinks, which are also reasonably priced) was $131, which I thought very reasonable. Compare to the all you can eat price packages and those rules to decide what is best for your party. For a chain restaurant that is all over the country, this place has it going on. We will be back!

The barbecue and sides were really good. We loved the wagyu beef, though the other items weren't as impressive. Still, we enjoyed the food, especially the fried rice. Unfortunately, the service was not enjoyable. The waitress did not clearly explain the differences between menu items, which was a bit confusing. She seemed unfamiliar with the menu and was not very attentive or friendly. We tried to understand that she might have been having a bad day. Despite this, we really enjoyed the barbecue and the food overall. We hope to go back and have a better experience next time, with more time to look at the menu and receive better recommendations.

Google
I had a great experience at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ. I went for lunch and ordered the "Create your own Lunch Gyu-Combo." It came with two BBQ items, miso soup, and a side salad. I ordered the angus beef rib and shrimp with the spicy jalapeno miso, which was hot and flavorful, broccoli, and garlic fried rice. The food was fantastic! The server was great as well--she answered all of my questions, told me how long to cook the meat, and checked on me frequently. I did have some leftovers, as it was a lot of food for the combo, and they did provide a box for my carryout.

The food is good and the options are huge. You need to Cook the food yourself on the grill…. And you finish with smores.

Google
We had the ultimate all you can eat, food taste good as always. The garlic fried rice is good. The beef tone has a very unique taste, in a good way, meat is fresh. The dessert option (mochi) in the ultimate option is nothing special. The senior discount is very reasonable. Only thing is we have 10 people and are separated to two adjacent table. When we order each meat we had it double, but instead of bringing two plates with same thing to two table, the double order were combined in one plate. As a result each table end up with one type of meat double amount, instead of able to try two meat. Maybe this can be improved

I should’ve taken more photos but as the food kept coming I naturally put my phone down to eat. Absolutely amazing experience. Definitely going back. If you go there, just go all out on the $80 all you can eat pass. You won’t regret it at all.

Yelp
Sooo Great! Tastes really well!! Highly recommend Sirloin Steak And ribeye with kimchi and cucumber. Service is also great

Yelp
Food is excellent. HUGE variety in menu items but if you're gonna go here, just stick to the BBQ meats over the other stuff (ramens, rices, etc.) I would also say that ordering the plates as opposed to the courses is the best bang for your buck. Desserts are very mid tier. But again that's not what you should come here for. Service is always good, servers come and change out your grill and are very attentive. Great experience, and great food ! Only thing is I wish there was a place to keep your coat because you'll be smelling like BBQ for a long time after.

Yelp
Tl;dr/Preface to this review, I'm both a kbbq connoisseur and a service industry worker so while I may want to leave a scorched earth review of this place because of a broken bbq grill and burned meat, I'll try to keep it polite, especially since it's really not the servers fault. That said... this was the worst kbbq experience I've had. My partner and I came in for dinner and we had a reservation. The wait was longer than expected, but that was ok. It was pretty busy so we didn't mind that there was a fairly long wait to get our meat etc. However, the issue began when we got the meat and they started the grill. The grill had something wrong with it to begin with and didn't work properly the entire time. In the beginning, only about 1/2 or 1/3 of the grill worked at all. Then half of it was completely in flames and the other half was out. The rest of the time, it was burning the meat in less than 2 min, even the meat that needed longer... 2/5 or 6 meats were singed beyond what was edible and we left the final meat on the table. At first, this issue wasn't really acknowledged. When it was, it was a non chalant sort of shrug approach, like "oh yeah that's just how this bbq grill is" and then the second time we asked if we could move to a table with a working grill and the server said all of them are like that. So it's a higher end kbbq place and all of the grills don't work? That's the basic premise of the experience so I'm not sure how that's acceptable. Eventually they said we could move if we wanted after a wait but it was more than halfway through and seemed like a hassle. We said we would see if things improved and they never asked us again about it until they asked if we wanted a box with singed uncooked meat on the table when we were clearly unhappy. Pretty disappointed at how far from authentic kbbq the experience it was and for the price, it definitely shouldn't have been a broken grill and burned meat. I was hoping to find a new spot to visit regularly :(

Yelp
I love the décor of the restaurant inside! It's a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. We had reservations, but the previous table was wrapping up still, so it was a little bit before we were seated. Our server took a little bit to come over to us and I didn't love that we were hard sold on some of the packages of food. I think that might be nice for some groups, but I do wish there were more options for smaller packages to try as everything seemed better suited to quite large groups, plus we wanted to try some different things for our first time here. Our friends recommended not doing those the first time there, so we selected some things off the menu instead that matched what folks in our group wanted. I will say it's pretty loud in the restaurant, which made it difficult to hear our server and for her to hear us. The food does come out pretty quickly, which was good since you're cooking at the table. I did think that our server didn't come around to check on us very much, which was disappointing since one of the burners at our table didn't seem to be cooking and it took quite a while to flag her down for help. Still, the food was really good! I recommend starting out with a few things and if you're still hungry to order more as you go. We will definitely be back as it was such a fun experience and there's a ton of gluten free options! Really only the teriyaki sauce is one to avoid if you're gluten free, but the rest are all safe to eat. While there, we saw they have lunch specials, so we plan to go back to try that some time as well. (And I'll update with more photos the next time we go!)

Yelp
First time going to this restaurant, for our anniversary tonight. If you're looking for a unique date night experience- this is great choice!! Our server Leo was phenomenal. They explained everything on the menu, and shared the different options, as well as how the menu shared options work. The food was incredible. Had a wonderful time. Looking forward to going back!!

Yelp
Been meaning to check out the lunch special at Gyu-Kaku for awhile now, $14.95 for Japanese bbq is a steal. Finally had the chance today. Overall experience was a 4/5. Arrived right when they opened at 11:30 AM. Greeted warmly by the server and promptly seated. The restaurant is lined with quaint, cozy booths on both sides with grills at the center of each table. They had an extensive menu, including an all you can eat option, but opted for the lunch special. We each ordered the combo with 2 meat choices. Overall we got the angus beef rib, umakara ribeye x2, and toro beef. You can order higher quality meats for an additional $3-6 each, but we wanted to see what you really get for $14.95. The sides came out promptly with rice, miso soup, and a salad. All were simple and refreshing. Now for the meats. They come out to approximately 3.5 oz portions, which is surprisingly filling with the sides. The only disappointment was the the angus beef rib since each piece was essentially 90% fat with very little meat. Fat is flavor, but the cuts just had too much of it. Otherwise, the ribeye was excellent! It was marinated well, flavor was great, and charred beautifully on the grill. Glad we got two orders of it. Being able to cook the meats over an open fire is also so satisfying. So was it worth the $14.95? Yes! I only wish the angus beef rib cut was better. You can get better cuts of meat, but then you lose out on the price for their lunch deal. All in all, positive experience. Would come back, especially for the ribeye.

Yelp
I enjoyed the meal we did the setup for a party of three it was for my brother's birthday between the couple of appetizers of the salad the soup the vegetables and then all the meat and to end with the s'mores you will definitely leave full. our waiter was also very friendly and checked in on us frequently and the restaurant was clean.

Cheeky C.

Yelp
Had the Spicy Beef Ramen. Flavor was blah. Spicy Chigae Ramen was really hot, flavor was blah also. Problem with the ramen here is all the flavors are mixed into the dish & there's no surprise in the flavor. Sort of like cooking something for a long time & everything tastes mashed together. Also ordered Wagyu Kalbi Short Rib Mix Cut. Tender, fun to cook yourself...but really over-priced for such a tiny portion. This place is rather uninspired. This is my third time here. Every time us the same. Food does not have great flavor. Not coming here again. Wait staff is excellent though. Good ambience, but can be very loud.

Kiley C.

Yelp
Food was delicious! We took our family and they were super accommodating. I wish it came with more sides but overall great experience. We will be back!

Yelp
Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ offers an upscale dining experience and delivers quality service and delicious food. Nestled in The Kenwood Collection in Cincinnati, my wife and I really enjoyed our first visit. Thankfully we had a reservation, so our wait time was minimal. The interior is on the more elegant side and was CLEAN! Our server was friendly and went out of her way to ensure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. The menu has a vast selection of small plates (appetizers) - I recommend the Spicy Jalapeño Edamame and Fried Pork Gyoza Dumplings (juicy fried pork dumplings served with citrus ponzu) ... both were amazing! My recommendation is to opt for the Ultimate All You Can Eat meal, which offers over 55 items and includes some higher end options. All-in-all, Gyu-Kaku is a great place to visit and gets five stars in my book!

Alan D.

Yelp
We loved the experience during lunch. It was a great family fun meal and plenty of options for food. The service was very good and checked on us frequently and answered questions. The ambiance was great being separate from the other busier areas.

Julie K.

Yelp
Ordered tonight via Uber Eats sadly food was over cooked and cold by the time it arrived! Will not be trying this again. Very disappointing! Also will not be using Uber Eats again ever!

Alan G.

Yelp
We went there for New Year's Eve dinner to try it out. I've heard a lot good things about this place and I have to say the food was excellent and there was a lot of it. I don't know where to start but we had soup, salad, edamame, sushi, different meats and s'mores. We left stuffed and we will be going back. It was neat cooking on a stove top but I took away a star because I thought our service could have been better. Watching other severs they took time explaining the process and checking up on there table more than ours did. Since this was our first time it would have been nice. We used to do fondue every year but the portions got smaller, the price was going up and they started pre cooking everything to tun the tables around and the experience was lost. This place may be the annual replacement, plus more.

Christina G.

Yelp
This is my favorite restaurant ever. I eat here very frequently. The servers and service is great!!!! Food is always amazing

Christie N.

Yelp
This place is always great! We've now made it a tradition to dine here the night before Thanksgiving. It's such a fun environment, it's always packed, and the food it's great! Although the menu can be overwhelming, take your time, ask for suggestions, and I assure you won't be mad. I would recommend going for some of the marinated beef, shrimp (non spicy ones), and definitely veggies or shishito peppers. We ordered much more than that with our group of three but those were the hits. Definitely try to make a reservation- this place gets busy!

Yelp
Food: 4.9/5 This restaurant chain originally started in Japan and has become one of my favorites worldwide. It's a Japanese BBQ, so if you don't like the food, it's your cooking. But don't worry; it's easy, fun, and delicious. We ordered the beef tongue, spicy addicting cucumbers, kalbi chuck rib, hamari skirt steak, beef sukiyaki bibimbap, and a cold house sake. If you want an invitation to be adventurous, try the tongue. The spicy addicting cucumbers are refreshing and live up to their name. The beef sukiyaki bibimbap is excellent to share and is better than just rice. The rice in the dish gets crispy and flavorful. Service: 4.5/5 When you walk to your table, the staff greet you with "irasshaimase." This place can get busy on weekends, but usually, service is quick. Atmosphere: 4/5 Some small booths can feel a bit cramped, but usually, the seating is nice, and the tables are clean. The high booths give the tables a sense of privacy. Hacks: 1. If the burner flame is really low, it could be low flow. Ask your server to turn it off for a minute, then let the gas run for 20 to 30 seconds before trying to ignite. 2. You can sign up for their rewards program and earn points for free food!

Yelp
We loved the experience of grilling our own food! We ordered one of the family meals so that we would avoid the agony of choosing individually. It worked out great! Everything was delicious -- the appetizers - soup, edamame, salad, tuna and steak rolls..all were great! Then the grill was heated up and the meats -- lots of different cuts -- came out and all were tasty! We were so full by the time the s'mores came out! Now that we've experienced the taste sensation of a full menu tasting, next time I'd probably choose items individually to focus on what we liked most. Also, though the meal plan specified it came with filet mignon, they substituted by doubling up on the NY Strip, but didn't mention this until we were cooking and noticed it missing (daughter's favorite cut!). So if you are picky about your cuts, be sure to check on availability. Our waiter was very attentive, frequently stopping by to ask if we needed anything else. Parking is plentiful. Fun time - I'm sure we'll be back.

Yelp
Simply go to this place and enjoy! Its that good! Everything was just amazing. The quality of the food is like none I've tasted before, I am a big fan of Asian cuisine so I'm usually go to any new spot I find and this one took the #1 spot. First things first, If you see the menu you may get overwhelmed with everything they have, the courses, group meals, a la carte menu, and you may want to try it all or think is too much or too little, my suggestion for first timers, go with a course depending on how many people are going with you and just ask for an order of anything you may want to try that is not included in that specific course. We got the YAKINIKU PARTY since it was 4 of us, we ended up full and taking a few pieces of cooked meat home. The only things we added where an order of Garlic rice and an order of Takoyaki... which both where Amazing!!!! They are definitely a most every time I visit from now on. The quality of the meat is great, really well marinated as well, the side dishes like the garlic noodles and rice were on another level, never tasted something like that before around the Cincinnati area. The appetizers were really good too and different from a usual sushi place. The ambiance and experience of having the grill in the middle of the table, cooking pretty much every bite how ever you want its what make this place unique. Cant wait to visit them again soon!

Holly D.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect but this restaurant exceeded any expectations I might have had. The menus were laid out well and easy to understand. The hardest part was deciding what to order. There were all you can eat options and order for 2 or more people options. This will not be a cheap dinner but it is absolutely worth the price and the ambiance. Pablo explained everything well and was on hand as we requested refills and such. He was great! Kind, friendly and efficient. The food was absolutely spectacular! I loved the whole grill it yourself experience. This place was amazing and I can't wait to try it again!

Jisha M.

Yelp
A great experience! Good for groups and reservations are a must! Parking is not as issue as it's located inside the mall. We ordered the meal for 2 which includes soup, salad, and assortment of meats, rice, and s'mores for dessert. Even the salad is delicious; it's all in the dressing. Would also recommend the spicy fried rice. Hot pots are only for your assortment of proteins and cooking times vary from 30 seconds to several minutes. It is relatively quick and a fun experience for a group.

Jeff M.

Yelp
Second visit to Gyu-Kaku. Reservations is a must. Another great time, great experience and delicious food! Ice cold Sapporo's served here tied the Japanese steak house experience into the perfect place to try.

Meni J.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the intimate familial style dining aspect of the restaurant. I would return with others for that experience. I would say the food is average, but the pork belly and salad were both delicious. You shouldn't have to upgrade your meat to have a decent cut, that should be optional. My 2 beef options were both stringy and just not great. I also wish there were more condiment options.

Jamie S.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience. We did the 90 minute all you can eat menu. A great variety of foods, from mango salad, soup, rice, veggies, meat and dessert. Our server was very helpful to give us suggestions. All were delicious. We enjoyed cooking our food ourselves too. We will definitely be back! Location is great too and parking is easy.

Joanne T.

Yelp
I love Japanese and Korean BBQ, so I was excited to try this place. I made reservations for Sunday evening and I was disappointed to learn that they do not do AYCE on weekends. I recommend coming on a weekday, because I had trouble justifying the cost for a la carte (think $10-15 for 5 thin pieces of meat). The servers were friendly and thorough. Service was a little slow at the host stand and we had to wait a while to be seated. The sauces sitting on the table were very sticky, but our server was attentive and provided hand wipes. The quality and food tasted great. We ordered the takoyaki to start, which was a little on the cold side. Then, we ordered a side of rice, Prime Kalbi Short Rib, Harami skirt steak, Kalbi chuck rib, and Premium sirloin. The total was about $55 and the food was enough for two people to be content. I look forward to coming back and trying the AYCE.

Quoc T.

Yelp
Food was salty. Service was good. Bibibop was best thing we had, but it did not have as much veggies as most other places. Good but not what was expected.

Si Siew T.

Yelp
I'm always here for their lunch special as that's their best deal. Came for lunch today for their harami secret pot. It's pretty good. A whole plank of meat stuffed into a small little pot with special sauce. Their hanger steak and kobi short ribs are my go to. The meat is tender and juicy. Their karaage is a must to have!! A must to order! It is sooooo good!! I get it every time I'm there! Not really a fan of their sirloin and filet mignon.. the meat's alittle too tough and it wasn't nicely seasoned. You can never go wrong with shrimps and chicken. But might not be worth the price. Remember to end your meal with a dessert! Love their matcha tiramisu!

Laura T.

Yelp
We have really enjoyed our dining experience here! It's a unique dining experience to grill your meat at the table. The thinly sliced Japanese bbq is amazing! This is now one of our favorite places to eat a nice dinner out. It can get a little hot at the table so don't wear anything too warm and toasty. The table can get a little full. Once, our server just kept bringing things out very fast. Another time was much better because she would pay attention and not being things out if we were not ready. From now on, we will be sure to tell them not to bring things out until we are ready.

Zheng Hong T.

Yelp
Ah. Meat. My one true love. And gyukaku is a place where I can sizzle my own meats to my preferred doneness. This isn't my first rodeo here and after a series of trial and error (and tasting everything on the menu) I think I finally got it down. Come for their lunch specials and order the harami skirt steak, umakara ribeye and the short rib. The harami steak is deliciously marinated and I really enjoyed how tender the ribeye is. This place is a little expensive which is why we want to do their lunch special haha.

Gabbie B.

Yelp
I couldn't get any good pictures, we were all so excited to eat. My friends and I went to go eat dinner here on a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowd. It was a great time and the meats tasted oh so wonderful! A dish I would recommend is the small dish, Spicy Addicting Cucumber. The name says it all. I was eat that up like there was no tomorrow. It is on the pricier side, but I think it's worth it to splurge a little

Yelp
A well known chain throughout the US - thought we'd give it a try. Coming from the east coast where local KBBQ is affordable and accessible- I try not compare most Asian food from what I've had there. However, objectively this place was not good. Not only is it expensive - the cuts of meat were of poor quality, service was slow, and sauce options were weak. Save your money - and check out the other KBBQ spots that are opening up now in Cincinnati.

Yelp
I've been here a few times, but had not been in awhile. Overall, still a good experience, but I do feel it's much better to go as a group to get a better value. For 2 people on the weekend, we spent a significant amount for an ok meal. Also, a little disappointed to know their reward points expire after just 3 months per our server, so I missed out on 10% off. I would still go back, but definitely during happy hour or all you can eat with a group.

Yelp
Ambiance I still can't believe the worker here touched my buttocks and I'm really upset about this sexual harassment going on at this restaurant something I never experienced until I walked in here!!!!! I'm so disgusted and disappointed

Yelp
What a fun and delicious experience it was eating at Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ. You start by ordering what meats, seafood, vegetables and other dishes you want to cook. Then the raw food is brought out to your table. There is a small grill in the middle of your table to cook all of the food on. The grill is very clean and your server helps with providing an overview of everything needed for a great meal. We had the shrimp, filet and skirt steak and it was all delicious. Overall, the experience was phenomenal. I can't wait to come back here again.

Yelp
A little on the pricy side, but WORTH it. Very similar to authentic to Yakiniku I had in Okinawa, Japan. Staff were great and did good explaining the process of ordering. Plenty of seating. The restaurant was clean and didn't disappoint. Huge variety of food options. Definitely going back.

Yelp
Service was great and food is delicious! We went for the all you can eat option at $45 per person for 90 minutes. This gave us multiple cuts of meats to try and we even had enough time to order multiple ones of the ones we liked. Just make sure you don't over order as everything not finished will cause an additional charge. This is the best way to try multiple cuts but if you know what you like, it's probably easier to just order what you like ale carte.

Yelp
Finally I get to try Gyu Kaku close to Kenwood mall. It was so much fun cooking and enjoying fresh cook meats with friends The staff was so friendly and attentive. We got the 3 serving package Include Appetizer : Salad+ Calamari +Cheese corn butter ( we order spicy cucumberand a whole bunch of sauces for extra dip) And a whole bunch of meats . If you an adventurous eater you should definitely try their beef tongue ( cook so fast and so tender, only limit to one order per person) It know it sound scary but trust me . It is so good!!!! All their proteins there is so fresh and flavorful !!. Supper Easy to cook . For the desert , we got smores. So easy to archived a perfect cooking smore with these charcoal grill . Drinks -Lychee tini -Mango tango -Cocomo All were I will definitely come back and try other singular things on the menu too. All look delicious

Yelp
Cincinnati is spoiled with this AYCE Japanese bbq restaurant. I was surprised to find out this city was blessed with such an experience! I'm originally from California but now live in Cincinnati. I've been to Gyu Kaku countless of times back home and AYCE is nonexistent for this restaurant as everything was a la carte. It's uncommon for Gyu Kaku to offer an AYCE option -- this is the only location I know of that provides this type of menu. Glad they have this here! The restaurant can get really busy for dinner, so making reservations is a must. Their quality meat is A1. I recommend their garlic shrimp, toro beef, angus beef rib, toro chuck as well as their garlic mushroom and gyoza! Most people aren't used to cooking their own food on the table, especially on a grill -- so be sure not to overlook and crowd your space. Always ask for a new grill when it's starting to char and smoke. Service can get slow at times as it seems they're a bit short-staffed, so it's important that you order extra meat ahead of time so that you don't wait. Don't order too much as you'll be charged for excessive food that you waste. Staff is friendly nonetheless and will get to you as soon as they can. Highly recommend coming here -- you won't regret it. Just be ready to smell like smoke and have the meat sweats afterwards!

Yelp
Mediocre. The meat is marinated okay but the portions are very small. The food does not come with rice so be sure to order it on the side, we just ended up eating everything with the garlic noodles since it was lacking a little texture. You cook for yourself at the grill at the table. The Karaage was okay, to me a little dry. The calamari was good but I wished it were a little more crunchy. The cheesy corn was good. The tuna volcano was good but I thought it was lacking a crunch factor.

Yelp
Not sure how I didn't try Gyu-Kaku until now. I think the menu intimidated me a bit. But when my wife asked where I wanted to go on a date, we decided to give it a try. Our server was very nice, attentive, and helped us understand the menu. We ordered the meat lovers meal for two, and a few side items. I also ordered a bowl of ramen which was great. The grill is as hot as the surface of the sun and the think cut meats cook in a minute or so. Everything was good and a few were incredible. They also have a reasonably priced AYCE on weekdays, which would be incredible. The restaurant was busy but intimate. See you again soon!

Yelp
When i tell you how happy i was they opened a gyu-kaku in cinci?! I used to go here in NY for lunch every week haha that's how much i love it so my friends and i made a 2 hr trip for a foodventure and this was our main dinner spot. We split the Yakiniku deal since it said it was good for 4 people and none of us could remember which exact meats we liked so we figured rhis would provide a good variety. For appetizers the gyu sushi (thinly slice beef yesss), spicy tuna volcano (i love spicy tuna over sushi rice fried), karange (fried chicken) and gyu salad (the dressing really does it for me) were my favs! I still can't tell the difference between meats but i know the bistro hanger steak is usually one of my favs. This was plenty of food we were dying by the end to finish everything. But of course love the smores as dessert! servers are wearing masks and they have you hand sanitize and take your temperature before being seated. The food came out at a fairly steady rate which gave us some time to breathe haha.

Yelp
So I picked this because I wanted something different. I came to this amazing gem in Kenwood with my BFF. I will start by saying, if you haven't tried this place yet, please do it is worth every penny. We were greeted by Rose and amazing and bright young lady that took wonderful care of myself and my friend. I would come back just to see her, but the food oh the food. May I drool just a little here, it was so good. I have been to a Korean BBQ place in KY that you grill your own food and I do/did love that place. Well I will be coming here from now on. We ordered the meat lover meal, basically what you see in my pictures plus s'mores for dessert. So just in case pics don't show up. Miso soup Salad Edamame Chicken nuggets (not cheap frozen) with a spicy cheese sauce And 6 or 7 meats Rice We were both stuffed when we left. The meal was $65 for both of us. So although not cheap, it was perfectly perfect. I seriously can't wait to come back and eat here again. If you read this and stop in tell Rose I said hi. She may not remember me, but her service was impeccable. I would seriously give this place 10 stars if I could. What are you still reading? Get in your vehicle and come here to eat, I have no idea why you are waiting this long.

Yelp
I've been looking for a Korean BBQ joint in Cincinnati and this looked like the next best option. As such, I gave it a shot. Absolutely no regrets! We ordered the white rice, pork gyoza, chicken garlic noodles, teriyaki chicken, spicy pork, and filet mignon. Cooked at your table, by you, so no complaints on food. The premade items? Amazing. Would recommend (already did tbh) and would go back. Item to note is that it's reservation only so make sure to hit up open table to reserve.

Yelp
This was such a fun experience! The food was incredibly good! The price was a bit high but well worth it. I look forward to going back.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. Mind you, it is sit down and takes some time so don't go if you're in a rush, but I don't think you would pick this place if you were. Sides like veggies and the corn skillet are always fresh and delicious. So many meat options, and you definitely want to pick two to be full. S'mores is a cute option, I just wish there were more deserts. Bar has a great selection and staff is beyond knowledgeable and friendly. 11/10 recommend for a fun dinner spot.

Yelp
This was our first time trying Korean barbecue and it was great! We were in town for the Bengals game and decided we wanted to try something we had never had. The location is inside of the mall, but it is very nice inside. Our waitress explained everything to us and we decided to go with a mixture of chicken, pork belly and shrimp. The entree choice came with salad, and miso soup. We ordered the cucumbers in a garlic sauce and it was delicious! The meal also came with Bibimbap rice and that was also delicious, we actually ordered the garlic rice also, but we did prefer the bibimbap over the garlic one. We would definitely go back if in town, we have started to look for some Korean barbecue restaurants near us, but we have high expectations now!
