We got a bunch of food such as sushi, fried rice, a couple meat dishes, salads, soups and smores at the end. Food was tasty and arrived quickly. Ambience is nice with it being darker inside and there are restrooms, a lot of tables and such. Besides that though, the service wasn’t great. The 2 servers that came by our table never smiled, forgot when we requested extra silver wear and bowls, and just seemed like they’re mind was in another world.

Google
Pretty small Japanese bbq restaurant that offers great selection of menus: lunch, drink, dinner, specials, etc. We chose the lunch menu with upgraded meats. So delicious and tender! Gyu- Kaku Cold Sake is a must try. The unfiltered sake had Milky taste with hints of sweetness. Outstanding service. Anna was very polite and helped with menu selections. P.S Thank you for a fabulous experience . We will be back soon!

We really enjoyed the food and the cocktails. It was an entertaining experience cooking the meats in the table grill. I really liked that they gave us marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers to make s'mores. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions.

I’ve always wanted to try Gyu-Kaku because I’m a big fan of Japanese food, and I finally got the chance! From the moment we walked in, the server was super friendly and attentive. He took the time to walk us through the menu, which was really helpful since they have a lot of options. I love that they offer an all-you-can-eat option, but since I wasn’t feeling too hungry, I went with the Meat Lover’s Course for two. It came with Gyu sushi, karaage chicken, salad, soup, six different meats for the BBQ, and s’mores for dessert. Overall, the food was delicious and satisfying. If I had to point out a few downsides, it would mostly be about presentation and small details. The starters would’ve looked better if they were served all at once—it makes the table look fuller and more visually appealing (and perfect for pictures!). The karaage came in small, scattered pieces—I think it would be more enjoyable if they served bigger, juicier chunks. The salad needed more flavor too; I could barely taste the dressing. The Gyu sushi was tasty, but the plate it came on was too large for the portion, which made it look a bit empty. And for the edamame, the salt was only sprinkled in the center—so the flavor wasn’t evenly distributed. A quick toss or shake before serving would’ve made a big difference! That said, I really enjoyed the meal. The meats were great, the server was fantastic, and it was a fun experience overall. With just a bit more attention to presentation and detail, this place could easily go from great to amazing. I’d definitely go back again, especially with friends!

Google
Great first experience here. Lots of good options even at the basic tier of meats. Server was very attentive, friendly, and explained the cooking and ordering process. Advised us on how to safely use the grill. Quality of meat was great, fresh. Veggies as well.

Our server's name was Ashlee. She was awesome. The food was good. The atmosphere was cool.Definitely be back

Google
Good deal lunch $ 20 we can taste good quality meat and simple good sauces ,grill clean and fire is perfect however the garlic fried rice to soggy not to my preference

Mustafa B.

Google
Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The food took an unusually long time to arrive, and we were told that a component needed to be removed from the grill to improve the flame, something that should’ve been addressed before service. Additionally, our original server disappeared for a significant portion of the meal, leaving us to flag down other staff just to place our order. The lack of attentiveness and slow service made the experience far less enjoyable than expected. The s’mores were delicious though.

Yelp
Food: all the food was amazing! My bf and I came here for the first time after shopping around Naperville. They do have happy hour specials here, but we decided to do all you can eat premium for $58 per person. They do have two other all you can eat deals, however, we found the premium to be perfect for us since there were 45 items to choose from! 5/5 Service: we had the server, Aaron, who was very nice! He did have some pretty large tables so he was servicing them a little more so at times we did have to call him over to order more food. However, when he did serve us he made recommendations. I would say between my bf and I were had about 6 meat dishes (they are on the smaller side), 1 veggie dishes, kimchi and a bowl of rice. Next time, we will order all at once. 4/5 Ambiance: the restaurant was clean and orderly. The bathroom were clean also. I found the inside to be cute! The grills were hot and ready for us once seated. 5/5 Overall: I would give this restaurant a 4/5 for amazing food and cool interior. The serve was a little slow, but you do get 90 minutes of eating time. Perfect for a date or larger parties with friends and family.

Yelp
TL;DR: Love this place, will go again, just wish the low tier "Premium" AYCE option was a little cheaper. Food: Everything tasted great. Spicy pork and pork belly were my favorites. Cost: I've done both the AYCE and course menu options. I think the course menu with a couple al a cart was the better value, but the AYCE options is good if you don't already know which meats you want. Ambiance: Slightly upscale design, clean, table can get a bit cramped depending on how many things come out at once. Service: Good, things came out quickly, no issues. Overall: Would definitely come here again and would recommend others to try it. AYCE is definitely not a cheap option here, so take a look at the al a cart and course menu options.

Yelp
We love this place. The tip is to go on a week night, specifically Monday or Tuesday night when it's not as busy and don't eat beforehand lol. Meat quality is pretty great for the price. While it's a bit spendy, it's a nice treat every once in a while. Also, Ashton has been our server twice and each time he has been amazing & fun to talk to.

Yelp
Tried for the first time this New Year's Eve around 5pm. The pork dumplings and chili mayo fried shrimp appetizers were great, along with the garlic fried rice. The meat on the other hand was a little underwhelming. Both cuts of steak were a little fatty, and one didn't come marinated. Also, a little side note, the restaurant itself was a little dirty with crumbs all over the ground, dirty counter tops at the bar, and the women's bathroom could use the vent on the ceiling to be dusted... paying attention to the little details make all the difference!

Yelp
A bit of a rocky start but things made a turn for the better. I read a few other reviews about the long wait which turned out to be the case. We made reservations and still had to wait 15-20 minutes for our table to be cleared. We ended up spending that time at the bar. Once we got to our table, our waiter did a good job explaining how everything works. We ended up ordering the special Adventures in Niku for 3 people. It came with a decent portion of food. However, it came in a weird order and out waiter forgot to bring some of the dishes. We first got the edamame and salad. The miso soup came at the very end and our waiter forgot the umakara garlic karaage and white rice. All the meat was delicious and it came with fried Oreos for dessert which were...interesting. Overall, good but definitely room for some improvement.

Yelp
Pretty good food, and everything was brought out in a timely manner. Good service from the team as well.

Yelp
Went to this location in Naperville, IL on Monday during lunch time. It was not crowded and we were sat fast. We did have a reservation but at 12pm there was no need. Light music was playing and we were given minutes. One menu happen to be their lunch special, regular menu and an all you can eat menu. We decided to do the all you can eat menu option with 45 items to choose from, and one a la carte item, the duck. It is stayed you get 90 minutes. The whole table must take part in the all you can eat if you choose. We tried 16 different items before we were stuffed! Everythibg was delicious. We gravitated to try the spicy items and boy were they good. Make sure you don't over order however, you could be charge a la carte prices for leftovers. Service was fast and we never waited long to get our items once we put in the orders.

Yelp
The meats are great. I prefer them to the countless kbbq places I've been to. The sides are mid though. We had dumplings, salad, miso soup, calamari, cheesy corn, and sushi. All mid. Service was good though. Ambiance too. I wouldn't be rushing back to eat here. Although, the meat selection is and should be the star of the show at a Japanese bbq, I'm really a sides kinda girl.

Mark S.

Yelp
Delicious meats cooked over an open flame. Really enjoyed the ambiance and Jacob was a wonderful server. There is a 90 minute timeframe for all you can eat but I was more than full by end of an hour. Not sure how that would be on Fri or Saturday. Little expensive but quality is high.

Christa C.

Yelp
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was even better (thank you, Jason!).

Yelp
Gyu Kaku is one of my absolute favorite restaurants for Asian bbq, but unfortunately their service has lacked each time we've dined in. Tonight, we waited a while for our order to be taken and around 15 minutes after we completely finished our meal to get our check. The servers have always been very kind, just a bit slower than we would like to be paced for a meal. For food, I highly recommend any of the marinated meats. My personal favorites are the hanger steak, harami in secret pot, and sirloin. If you come during happy hour, each meat item is also around $1 off. We also always get the kimchi and spicy cucumber as sides to compliment the meat. If you're dining with a group or are particularly hungry consider getting a course meal. The meat lovers for two has been able to feed three of us very comfortably. The only thing I would not recommend is the ramen. We'll definitely be back at Gyu Kaku for delicious reasonably priced meats!

Yelp
The main reason this is getting 3 stars is that we had reservations and we still had to wait almost 30 minutes. There were a lot of people waiting. Imagine if we didn't cook our own food. Otherwise the food and drinks are alright. Nothing to mention. I think the bibimbap needed a bit more flavor. The place in west loop is much better.

Yelp
We booked this reservation to celebrate Father's Day and we're really looking forward to experiencing the 'All you care to eat' package. When we asked about that option (there was no signage), we were informed that the all you care to eat package was not available BECAUSE it was Father's Day. Ok, we were disappointed but selected another dining option. The waiter offered 'two rounds of comped drinks from the bar' to make up for our troubles--however our drink orders were never taken--to be honest, we were hard-pressed to get WATER. To add to the nonsense, when we asked a passing by staff member (our waitstaff was missing) if we could just get a pitcher of water for our table, he said, "Oh! Do you need drinks?" We tried to order a COKE, but were told they didn't have any COKE, but could bring a Diet Coke. SMH.... The food arrived all at once, we had fun cooking it and everything tasted good. However this was not the experience we were looking forward to and will not return.

Yelp
We came here for a family dinner to celebrate a birthday. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere-very modern and clean, and each table has a grill to cook your own meat and veggies. There is also a bar near the front of the restaurant. We arrived a little before 5, and even though the place was nearly empty, we waited several minutes to be acknowledged. When it was time to order drinks, I ordered the house sake, and was told that not only were they out of that one, but they only had 2 of the 7 sakes listed on the menu. After ordering drinks, we had another long wait, before our server took our food order. We ordered the value course meal, which included soup, salad, edamame and several different raw meats and veggies to grill. My son ordered the kids "ready to grill" meal, and between the 3 of us we had the perfect amount of food and everything tasted great. Unfortunately we ran into a few problems in addition to the long waits early on and the lack of sake. A little over halfway into our meal, 2 of us wanted drink refills and we couldn't find anyone to ask. After finishing our meal, we still hadn't seen anyone, and had to wait so long for our check that we needed to ask two different servers for it. The amount of time we spent waiting was absolutely unreasonable for a restaurant that was nowhere near capacity on a weeknight and completely killed the vibe after what was otherwise a delicious and fun meal.

Yelp
I came here for Mother's Day. We ordered the rose course for 3 for the 4 of us. It was more than enough food. Everything was good until the end of the meal. We had to wait for so long to get our chocolate fondue set. And when it came it was only 3 strawberries and the chocolate. When I ask the server where is the marshmallow and graham cracker that is mentioned on the menu. He told me that it's a separate set that you can order separately. Because it was mentioned in a separate box on the menu when clearly it was in a separate box from the course set to tell you what's in the set and show you the picture. There was also other boxes that mentions details and pictures of other food items in the course set. That came exactly how it is mentioned on there. But my server told me only that one is separate. I told him that it didn't make sense and he said he didn't design the menu. I then had to go and find the manager. The manager then gave me the rest of the stuff mentioned in the dessert set. Literally had to wait 20 minutes for the dessert set. Just had to packed it to go when I got it because my toddler was falling asleep waiting for the dessert. Ridiculous!

Yelp
We've been to this gyu Kaku many many times! I personally love Asian barbecue restaurants, as there are no local Korean bbqs, this one definitely scratches that itch. The meats are super tasty, as they are marinated in a tasty sauce. Many different kinds of beef. We typically get the Meat lovers for 2 if we're on a date. It's just enough food for us. I may add a meat or 2. I wish that some items are swappable. The service is typically inconsistent and slow. If you made a reservation, don't expect better or quicker service. On our experience 2 days ago, we had a particularly bad one. We made a reservation, called in as I we were going to be 15 min late. After arrival, our table of course wasn't ready (it never is), after sitting down, we sat not greeted or served for 15 straight min. We were walking out (which I've only done one other time in my life), the Mgr had said his goodbyes, right then and there I explained why we were leaving. He apologized and offered to help us out on the bill, and ever since then their service was phenomenal. I ordered the white peach cosmo and it was delish! Didn't taste like it had much alcohol until I started feeling it. Mgr was Javier and he was amazing, attentive, and accommodating. I understand more than anyone about busy times in the service industry (I'm in it), but on this particular day, we couldn't stay out long since our 3 kids are at home with grandma and we wanted to have a quick dinner. I would've probably given it 30 minutes if we weren't In a minor rush. The food though is consistent and it's always so fun grilling our own already seasoned meats. Thanks!

Yelp
We ordered takeout and the system said it would be ready at 8:05pm... It's 8:50pm and we are still waiting. Staff is refusing to provide an update and we just asked for the manager to see if anyone can find our food. I'll report back in a few days when they find our order.

D R.

Yelp
Where to start... how about when we first walked in... There was zero point in making a reservation. We originally had a reservation for a party of ten but then changed it to 5 right when we got there cuz there were last minute cancellations. We had it for 7p which we were well on time for and didn't get seated until 7:50p. While we were waiting found out there was a party of 4 that had a reservation at 6:45. They got seated after us. Not to mention a party of 4 that came in 15 mins after us got seated 20 mins BEFORE US. What about the 6:45 party?? During the waiting we kept asking what the hold up was and all they kept saying was "well ppl won't leave so......." But we kept being strung along " a few more minutes"... an hours worth of a few more minutes. A reservation not being honored for 50 mins is well beyond wild. While waiting the bar seemed to be out of a ton of things including the house sake which makes no sense. Finally got sat at a table meant for 4 and there was no space. Order didn't get taken until 10 mins after that. Ordered the ultimate feast. The appetizers came out with hardly room to put them. Then we were informed that they weren't gonna bring out the meat until the table next to us left and they could move the partition to give us more space. So we had to wait for the ppl to stop gabbing before we could really eat. The whole service felt rushed also. While we were waiting to be seated we spoke to a manager to ask what was going on and he seemed to be unaware and unconcerned about it. Also left in the middle of the conversation and left us talking to 2 employees...great leadership. The servers tried to make up for it but parts of the service were disjointed, forgetting things etc. Basically, what was supposed to be a birthday celebration turned into a frustrated meal. Being an ex college teacher who taught Restaurant Management for 16 years made me more pissed of than the rest of the party. I would understand if we were walk ins but the reservation was made DAYS ago. The last thing was that some keys were left behind and when we came back in and asked no one knew a thing and then walked off cuz it clearly wasn't their problem, only for us to gps locate them and they were in behind the host stand, nowhere near our table. So zero help there as well. It was a shit show. Some concessions were made with the bill so nice gesture I guess? But bite me with the rest. The food was good and the service tried to recover but unfortunately they were soured by the absolutely unacceptable bs of the reservation situation and out of touch manager. Props to Don the bartender/server tho. He did his best to fix it even tho the situation was a Hot Dog Water mess.

Yelp
All these reviews about Aaron being amazing is crazy to see. We sat down and waited 20 mins to ask another server to find our server just to get water and to order. After that it was another 25 mins to get our food. We had to hunt down our server to just continue ordering. Looks like he rather take care the smaller table for two instead of four. If you like to wait then by all means come here and waste your time. Food was fire though.

Greg W.

Yelp
Our reservation for Mother's Day secured us the right to wait 45 minutes at a packed bar before being seated. Administration is terrible here. Had the same experience at the one in West Loop as well. What a joke.
google avatar

Yelp
You'll want to make a reservation before you come here. Service at restaurants in general has been hit hard, but it's very apparent Gyu-Kaku needs a host and more staff. Walk-ins will likely have to wait an hour even if there are empty tables in front, because they're not being used. If you're fortunate to get a table, you're in for a treat, if you like BBQ at your table. You can do AYCE or go a la carte. There are happy hour specials too, which runs open to 5 pm and knocks a dollar or two off regular price. What I love about Gyu-Kaku is the sheer variety of meats, veggies, and apps. Pork, chicken, beef, you name it. Dipping sauces are provided on the table. Your wallet will be quite lighter coming out of Gyu-Kaku, but your stomach will be much fuller. Pace yourself and enjoy the nice ambience and good food. Don't skip the garlic noodles. Trust me.

Yelp
So I went here to try this place with a friend of mine. They recommended this place. It's off a Main Street but they have a free parking garage around the corner in the back. When I went in they greeted us and we were served right away. I got there like 30 min after they opened so it wasn't busy. We were seated at the table that has a stove type girillin the middle which is cool. Actually a the tables have the grill type setup. I asked the waiter about the menu cause the menu has so much items. The waiter Jake was really nice to explain to us how it works. He gave us some good recommendations on the food which was really good. So basically you cook your own food there is a book on the table that tells you how long you should cook the meat. The choices for sauces are really good. The green tea was good and refreshing. I really enjoyed the new experience and it was really awesome. I would go back again for the food cause there is so much food to try. Thank you to our waiter Jake as well. He made the experience fun and worth coming back to this place.

Yelp
Delish Japanese BBQ lunch with my family. We came on a Sunday afternoon with a reservation. They will not seat you until your whole party is here. For a 6-8 person table, there are 2 grills. It seems like the venting system is built within the grill itself, so there was not overhead vents. The meat quality was great and it didn't leave me feeling heavy after the meal. We ordered the Meat Variety for 3 people and some a la cart items. Would recommend the Meat Variety set but did not like the basil chicken... it was just like they put pesto on chicken. All the other meats were good quality and tasty! The set also comes with starters and Smores dessert! Gyu-Sushi: the portion we got was cooked medium well and it did not taste good as it was over cooked. Fried Calamari: very good with their special dipping sauce Tuna poke nachos: over salted/ dressed. Do not recommend Tonkatsu ramen: broth and cha siu was very disappointing. Broth didn't taste like much and there was a huge fat cap on the cha siu that was not pleasant to eat. Smores: a fun treat to the end of the meal. Great for kids!

Yelp
Loved eating lunch here. It was reasonably priced and it was fun cooking our meats. I would recommend picking any marinated meats. The garlic rice was really good and the portion was huge. They also started us with a free salad that was good, I guess as part of the lunch deal. Their lunch deals are really good and I don't think you need the all you can eat experience to get full! The interior is nice and clean, but nothing stand out. The place was very empty on a Monday at 2, which is when happy hour starts. Can't wait to come again! Also, if you haven't been here before, you should sign up for their app at least 24 hours before you come and you'll get $10 off!

Yelp
Located in downtown Naperville, there are two parking garages nearby. You can find a parking space. Gyu Kaku is usually not overly busy when we came a couple times. Service needs to be improved, more attention to the customers. Prices are the same as in Chicago, not unreasonable. Quality of food is good.

Yelp
Aaron's the best!!! Service was top notch. (Filling the rest to meet the 85 character requirement)

Yelp
Sam was a great server it was our first time at a restaurant like this and he made us feel very comfortable. The ambience was very inviting everyone seems lo love what they do no bad attitude! The food was 10/10 I would definitely come back and hope to get Sam again!! Thank you

Yelp
The wagyu course was majestic! The service by Ugliene was amazing. She was very kind and attentive. Thank you for the fun experience. The wagyu beef quality was really good and highly recommended. The ambience was good. It is always fun to come here with my family and friends.

Yelp
Came here for my brothers birthday and they were able to accommodate our party of 10. We ordered a la cart to try a little bit of everything. We got all the recommended beefs and they were all really nice. I think my favorite was the one that came in the pot. I liked the seafoods less so, we got the garlic shrimp and calamari and they were a bit chewy. The veggies were kind of hard to cook without burning. Highly recommend getting some white rice to eat with the meats. This also wasn't too expensive and they have lunch specials and happy hour. They also sang happy birthday and gave my brother a free dessert! Beef Bibimbap - loved the buttery flavor of this rice. My nephew loved it Garlic Noodles - not very garlicky and mostly a bell pepper flavor Chocolate lava cake - cake was nice and hot and the matcha wasn't too sweet

Yelp
Jayson was awesome and gave me some good recommendations on what I was wanting to eat. The area was nice and clean and had a great meal.

Yelp
First time here the food was delicious our server SAM was amazing, he was quick and very kind, definitely gave us great recommendations on what to try. Definitely coming back.

Nicole L.

Yelp
Aaron was our server and he did a wonderful job. It was our first time experiencing this kind of atmosphere. He walked us through what we needed to do and was on top of checking in on us. Will be coming back with our family to have that same great experience. Thanks so much give Aaron a raise

Yelp
Staff is great. Food is okay and it's too expensive for me dine there. So I will make it once year splurge

Yelp
Been to the Randolph St Location many times, the Naperville location does not even come close to service, quality and experience. Food was basically laid on the plate in clumps we had to pull it apart and separate with tongs. No explanation of what was what. Server was inattentive and seemed like we were a bother. It was my wifes 60 birthday, very disappointed
google avatar

Yelp
Tan was a great server! She gave great recommendations. Highly recommend the toro beef and spicy pork.

Yelp
The food is so good. But the restaurant and staff are so bad. The restaurant is sticky and greasy. I'm sure it's hard to clean, all that grease, but it could be cleaned better. There was old sauce stuck on our table and the sauce bottles. We sat for 3 hours and did not get all of our order. The server apologized so many times saying the kitchen was backed up....its raw meat...how is it backed up? To compensate we got free dessert, which is fine. But man, they gotta get it together. It was not worth the $300 we spent in terms of service or ambiance.

Rita L.

Yelp
I'm not going to review the food because the food and drinks are always 10/10 in my book. My problem is more specifically with the service and more specifically with the server Kerry. She has been consistently not good at her job. Been to the Chicago locations with no problem, come to Naperville 3 times with Kerry as our server each time and still have yet to leave in a good mood. She has spilled water AND hot soup on me and my friends and laughed it off but wouldn't apologize or offer napkins to clean. She had dropped one of the grill to switch them out and instead of getting a new grill she proceeded to put the dirty floor grill on. I had to let her know how gross it was and thankfully it was changed but I know with common sense and food handler training she should've known better. She is also not a good server. Had to repeatedly ask for water and napkins. She would say gotcha, walk away and never come back. It had gotten to the point where other people were serving us and having to stop what they were doing to help us. And I want you to know each time we all were patient because 2 out the 3 visits it was busy but it was surprising how other servers were still attentive and you can look around at her section as people kept trying to stop her to get attention as she was overlooking or avoiding to do the job. Please do better Kerry.

Dominick Q.

Yelp
Gyu-Kaku is amazing. The food is excellent and the service exceptional. We have had Ashton as a server on one occasion and Aaron as a server on another. They both recommended amazing options and are very attentive. This place does not disappoint. Our favorite recommendations have been the Harami Skirt Steak, Bistro Hanger, Umakara Ribeye, Umakara Yaki Beef.

Yelp
I ordered Goma Negi Shio ramen and Beyond bibimbap with meat sushi and all the items arrived in worst condition. There was many small black stuffs in the ramen which is from dirty frying pans that causes CANCER. But sesame seeds were missing. Bibimbap was also missed ingredients such as mushrooms and red bell peppers etc. (based on their menu) Gyu-Kaku is famous franchise restaurant and definitely one of my favorites. BUT this branch needs to be more carefully with their chef choose. Their server Elliene said their today's chef is mexican and he's being stressed all day. Also their manager of the day Andrew was not qualified for his position, his customer service and satisfaction skill is like these foods! I wish i could leave -5 star.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this BBQ for a long time because I know it's a chain in the suburbs and in the city! We came here during lunch but ended up eating from the all day menu for two people. It did take about 30 minutes for us to be seated even though there were only two tables when we walked in. Maybe they were running behind in the kitchen but I was very hungry and ready to eat! Our waitress was very nice and informational. I got a lychee lemonade that I highly recommend. We got poke nachos and the chicken for our appetizers that I also loved. The main meats were soooo flavorful and fresh and just amazing!! We got matcha and vanilla icecream fro dessert too. The inside was very clean and organized. They even have a small bar area right where you walk in. I really enjoyed the food here and ate h tim I was very full. I would recommend this place and come again!!

Yelp
Food was excellent, and Jayson provided great service. We come for the Kobe beef, and it is our favorite. We are now regulars!

Yelp
We had a rest waiter and waitress for our first and second time being here together. One other thing is that the food was so delicious I would come back again for it. It wasn't loud and it was clean a great place to be with family.

Yelp
I hestitate to even give this location a single star rating. We've been here multiple times, hoping the service would improve and it continues to decline. There never seems to be enough waitstaff, the tables are always in disarray and never bussed/cleaned promptly after guests leave. We had reservations for my daughter's birthday, arrived a bit early and was immediately greeted by the host as if it was inconvenient we were there. She asked rather rudely if we had a reservation (did not bother to greet us) and then said she needed to clean a table and to have a seat by the window bench. We were seated next to a large table that was in completely dirty. Plates, napkins, glasswear, utensils and spilled food was all over the table. No one appeared to be walking back to clear it either. After 10 minutes, she proceeds to tell us that there is a crew shift and we'd have to wait another 10 minutes to be seated. I proceeded to ask why the allowed a reservation time if a crew change was going to be an issue and keep us waiting. I ended up calling another restaurant and we left. This visit was completely service and appearance related. Imagine never having dined here to walk in, have terrible customer service and see the dining room a mess like this. Previous visits we have had food missing from our order, one visit the restaurant actually ran out of rice and over waitstaff never seem fully qualified or extremely short staffed. Look at previous reviews and you'll find very similar comments on service, food and overall dining experience. Disappointing and would not recommend this place at all.

Yelp
Been here numerous times and food is generally good as well as the service. Just feeling a little perplexed. My husband found a piece of glass in his mouth ...I repeat, a piece of broken GLASS after drinking the ice water! The servers and manager were apologetic and as a compensation, we were given a $12 discount and another $5 removed for the beer. Not that we're hoping for a free meal but you would think they'll do more than noting "guests dissatisfied" on the receipt with $17 discounts.

Yelp
One of this aspects I like most about this experience is if you've done a Brazilian Steak House, a Hot Pot such Happy Lamb Hot Pot or X Pot this is a different experience in a good way. Three all you can eat options are available. Premium $54 Ultimate $64 and Supreme $74. Feel free to consider the more expensive options, but I feel that the Premium option was a good value and had TONS of selections available. The Premium options were mostly marinated cuts of beef and pork with a few chicken, seafood, and vegetable selections available. I loved the meat, but I also recommend the kimchi and cabbage selections. The meat will come raw and you'll be able to cook it quickly on the grill at each table. In order to maximize your experience, please consider how many people will be using the grill at each table. Technically a grill can accommodate four people; however, due to the available surface area on the grill four people will struggle to get their food cooked in a timely manner. I would say three is the maximum number that a grill can accommodate. If you are a party of four, with I know is common, see if you can get two grills within proximity. If they try to tell you that a grill will accommodate four people, please take the surface area issue into consideration.

Yelp
We came from about an hour north of Naperville. Our reservation was around 7:30pm. We got at the location around 7:15pm but finding parking was a nightmare. It took us over 30 minutes to find parking. As soon as we found a parking spot, we rushed to the restaurant and got to reception around 7:50pm. We explained to the receptionist our difficulty parking but that did not matter to her. She told us we were over the 15 minute window and therefore we had to wait for a while to fill for another guest that might not show up. The irony is there were so many tables that were open, yet she is making us waiting like some kind of punishing us for being late. This place has no empathy to customers who actually have all the intentions come but got caught up with parking mess in Naperville. I hope their food is not as bad as their service, but I have a sneaky suspicion that it is.
