Houston James Beard Award Winner Hugo Ortega’s Dishes Are Now Available at HEB | Eater Houston

"This grocery store location is among the six local outlets offering a six-item take-and-bake lineup developed by chef Hugo Ortega; the selection emphasizes comforting, easy-to-reheat dishes drawn from his restaurants and aims to provide both meat and vegetarian options as a new revenue channel for struggling eateries." - Amy McCarthy

Google
An excellent H-E-B to shop at and my favorite in this area, great staff, clean, always well-stocked

Bridgette B.

Google
Excellent staff and service at this location. We had to make some large orders throughout the week for catering trays, cakes, drinks, balloons, etc for a party. This location was excellent in a smooth process to order, pay and get everything to our vehicles. Absolutely great experience.

Google
Got water and my favorite detox and energy shots. They have lots of good sales right now. I love this location.

Google
Absolutely love this HEB! The produce section is always overflowing with fresh food – I've never seen such a vibrant salad bar. Their meat market is top-notch, offering a wide variety of cuts. The seafood selection is equally impressive, always fresh and never fishy smelling. Did you know this HEB is home to one of the largest beer and wine selections in the city? It's a hidden gem for those looking for unique finds. While the aisles can get a bit crowded, it's easy to navigate. Parking is usually a breeze, and if you need help, the staff and baggers are incredibly friendly. Plus, the in-store pharmacy is super convenient for picking up prescriptions. Whether you're grabbing ingredients for a quick meal or doing a full grocery haul, this HEB is a must-visit!

Google
One of my favorite places for groceries and food shopping. Large selection of quality items to choose from. Have multiple locations in Texas and very convenient to the public. Parking is ample I like their bakery selection in particular their delicious croissants. Great experience in every H-E-B stores visited. A must visit place to ALL God bless ⭐️

Today I was treated unfairly and singled out by one of their lead staff Nancy for reaching to get some paper bags after checking out and spending over $100 on groceries. She said I would have to pay for the paper bags because I could only have plastic or paper. Since there was a shortage on paperbags. This was news to me since I frequent this location every otherday or once a week minimum and spend money here. My groceries aren't given to me for free. I asked when did this begin? Nancy said it's been a while. After walking out of the store, I looked around the parking lot and noticed people with paper and plastic bags. I approached a couple asked if they had to pay to get both they said "No, they didn't have to pay for either paper or plastic". I went back into the store to confirm this with a director of the store. He said no. It was not until I involved him that Nancy changed her story to oh she thought I was attempting to take a sleeve of paper bags then I would have to pay for them at customer service. All I did was mind my own business purchased my groceries and to be singled out while including the other HEB staff members felt stressful and harassing. Hopefully, Nancy can focus more on the day to day duties of the store instead of ALWAYS congregating with HEB staff near the registers.

Google
I would put 5 stars for customer service and following instructions and 3 stars for product and produce I am so surprised by how bad produce are. I really like HEB and want to look at their overall services but I do notice maybe their manufacturing company isn’t great which you could find better products at Kroger’s, Randall’s, etc. HEB do provide better conveniences and intuitive online shopping experience, which I appreciate. But man..I wish they had better produce and variety. Almost every produce I choose is extremely small or deficit in size to what I would normally be able to pick up at a local Michicana

Shreyasi C.

Google
Variety of flowers/bouquet ranging from low to high prices. Besides there are lots of variety of food items. Beautifully decorated. They keep changing the decorations depending on the events/festivals… Free blood pressure and sugar check is available on every 2nd Saturday of each month.

Yelp
Want to thank Ben. Who, while on his way to his break, recommended this awesome snack! He recommended another canapé recipe I can't wait to try out at Thanksgiving this year! H-E-B, you've got a Gem in Ben!

Yelp
So, I usually do curbside at the HEB on Alabama in Montrose, but ever since their construction project turned the whole process into a slow-motion nightmare, I decided to give Buffalo Speedway a try. Big mistake. First off, I get that Houston was bracing for a snowstorm (crazy, I know), so I wasn't shocked that a lot of my requested items were out of stock. Fine, not their fault. But what was their fault? Not actually giving me half of the things I did manage to order! I got home, excited for my stash of groceries, only to realize I had basically made a charitable donation to HEB. No cheese. No sour cream. No coffee. NO MAPLE SYRUP. The donuts? Trash. Stale, lifeless, and the long john with "cream" filling? A cruel joke. Either it never got filled or the cream evaporated from old age. Tried calling the store--no answer. Couldn't go back because the entire city was frozen over for two days. At this point, I just accepted my fate. Maybe they were overwhelmed that day. Maybe it was just bad timing. But I won't be back to find out. Until Montrose finishes its never-ending construction, I'll be looking for another HEB--or honestly, another grocery store altogether. Buffalo Speedway, double-check your curbside orders and throw away the old donuts. You saved me some calories, at least.

Yelp
Oooooh this is one fun place to shop! Like a super well-stocked cheery party! Everyone -staffers and customers- was happy, courteous, kind. The parking lot was full and busy, but everyone took their turn and no one was doing anything dangerous. So much to choose from here: fresh fruit- fantastic! Hot meals- yes!! Imported treats- oooooooh my! In the Irish Foods section: Tim Tams and Jammie Dodgers for the win!! Yum!! I don't get to Texas often but this place was fabulous!
google avatar

Keisha R.

Yelp
It's large and always busy. It's well stocked and lines move decently fast. The parking lot is always packed. But inside has what you need.

Yelp
There are likely better HEBs out there but I still love this West U location all the same. Where other stores may be newer with a larger parking lot and bigger selection, I have still managed to get everything I want from this location. I find the service is excellent, the store is clean, the prices are average, but the inventory is always well stocked. In terms of reliability, the latter is crucial. Parking here can be a challenge. The lanes are narrow and there are only so many entrances to the lot. While folks are constantly battling for parking, the store itself is rarely ever that busy. The cart staff is good about keeping the lot relatively free of carts and are good about keeping the front area organized. I have had good experiences with their bakery and deli, especially for catering. I'm all about rocking the buttered tortillas when they're available. I love their produce selection and have been a big fan of their fresh peanut butter machines. While the cashier's are usually quick, the more popular way to go is through self-check out. The service is the most underrated aspect in my opinion. They've been supremely helpful in bringing groceries out to my vehicle for me (especially when there's a lot), they're on top of the curbside pickup, and they're excellent about helping folks find what they need. Big ups to the West U H-E-B team.

Yelp
I love coming here but not often. The parking is always crazy. I call it Club HEB because the parking is horrible and once you get inside everyone is bumping each other because it is so packed. I love they will cook the fish, lobster, snow crab, shrimp. etc for you. Makes dinner for the family so much easier.

Todd H.

Yelp
Sushiya sushi is a rip-off. Just go to the sushi department at Kroger on Shepherd Drive in the Heights, and you'll see the difference. HEB nigiri pieces are the skimpiest piece of fish I've ever seen. It is almost see-through. Kroger's are so plump and gorgeous. No comparison
google avatar

Paty T.

Yelp
They always have what we need plus food is always fresh. Prices are competitive. On the household side they don't have es many choices as bigger stores, but they have the good. basic ones.
google avatar

Suzi S.

Yelp
I enjoy visiting The HEB at all times. Fresh food fresh meat, fresh produce. The Cauliflower Pizza is #1Staff is friendly and attentive at all times. Clean and well-maintained location regardless of how busy it might be. The pharmacy has great prices as well, they text for prescription pickup. My best place to shop.

Yelp
This review is for the deli department only. I was Doordash for my youngest daughter's last-minute office Christmas potluck. She ordered the rotisserie chicken small croissant party tray one day earlier online. When I dropped by at the scheduled time, it was ready. The deli employee was very nice. My daughter brought the left over home. I had several for dinner and it was absolutely delicious. The cost was $25.99 (24 counts) with a $2 coupon. It was a good deal.

Yelp
Love Love ....LOVE...!!!! HEB on Buffalo Speedway...One complaint... In women's bathroom around 3:30 PM today when about 4 or 5 EMPLOYEES came and departed without Washing their hands after using the bathroom....How gross. So verily gross...!!! Extremely unhealthy and unhygienic for this to happen...They are handling our food...!!! I mentioned it to a manager....No response.. Please know that customers notice such and find it to be quiet distrubting and disgusting..

Keyla R.

Yelp
The sushiya sushi is bomb at this location, I can taste the passion the the workers put into their sushi

Yelp
Love this H-E-B! Only issue is that the store and parking lot are small, so definitely avoid going during busy hours. Food and service are always great.

Tee W.

Yelp
I recently had a weighted item with a printed label indicating the chicken salad was $9.64 but the price I got charged on my curbside receipt was over $10. A customer service rep emailed & said the printed label is the in-store price (see first attachment). What in the world? What business doesn't honor the printed label price & then tries to justify it by saying in-store prices differ from curbside prices? The label doesn't indicate an in-store price vs a curbside price. It shows one price (see second attachment) & the curbside receipt does not reflect the label price. Sure, the overcharged amount is very minor but it is the principle of the grocery store charging unsuspecting customers more than the sticker price. BUYER BEWARE...pay attention to your receipt because you could be paying more for items than the printed label prices.

Yelp
If the other HEB gives you the HEB-ie Jeebies, then this is the one for you. It's friendlier, for sure, and usually comparably well stocked. It's time for me to revisit this location as it is one of the best HEB stores in the area and the employees are surprisingly friendly compared to the shady and angry and dishonest employees over at the Alabama store. I think it comes from the top, so they must have good management too, and good products with a pretty good selection (although sometimes Alabama has what this store is out of). But on the whole, I enjoy shopping here a lot more than the Alabama store.

Deborah M.

Yelp
I frequently shop at HEB, Buffalo Speedway. On more than one occasion, I have been helped by Siraj in the red wine section. He is very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, even the ones that I didn't think to ask. He took the time to explain the differences in the wine which allowed me to make a good decision. I appreciate the time he took with me to educate me on red wine. He is an asset to HEB, as he was friendly, knowledgeable, and determined that i fully understood what he was explaining. Thanks, Siraj!!!!

Yelp
Clean and quality HEB next to the River Oaks/ Montrose are. Not as big as Bunker Hill but it's got everything you need and a decent selection. Parking lot is a reasonable size. Only complaint is the entrance and exit out of the parking lot can be a pain to get in/out.

Yelp
One of my favorite go-to H-E-B's in the area! Back when I was living in the med center, I had trouble finding an H-E-B nearby that I liked going to, and this was surprisingly one of the closest ones I could find that I actually liked. I also like that it was pretty close to the church that I went to also. Sometimes, I would go grocery shopping here right after church! The facility is really nice and clean inside. It's also very spacious. Beware that it does get very packed during peak shopping times like Sunday afternoons. The parking also does get filled pretty packed too, so I would recommend going during non-peak times. I've always been able to find whatever I need here, so that shows they are pretty good and fast at restocking items. Everything here I get has always been so fresh and good!

Yelp
When in Texas, always check out the local HEB. They have FRESH and WARM small tortillas right out of the oven. My family always buys the buttered tortillas and their FRESH made green sauce. It's like salsa and addictive when consumed with tortilla chips. I've bought some bbq sauces for souvenirs, HEB brand bbq sauce was a fam favorite.

Yelp
I was a huge fan of H-E-B but after contacting them about the their house brand dog food that nearly killed my 4 pets, I haven't heard a peep from their team that was notified and supposed to follow up, only their PR people on social media. This is unacceptable. As of today, the food is still available for sale. I still have some unopened packs of the contaminated food that I offered to give them, but they aren't interested. You'd think they would want to find out what's in it that's making pets sick, but they don't care. After a $300 vet Bill and a week of cleaning up piles of vomit and diarrhea, I asked for a credit for the $7 I spent on the dog food. They told me I have to go to the store, dragging a bag of dog food with no original packaging and no receipt, and explain to the cashier that I need a refund. Yeah, that sounds like fun. Anyway, they are on my shit list and now I'm skeptical of their H-E-B branded products. Here are pics of the dog food so that you don't make the same mistake

Yelp
Nothing to be shameful about this H-E-B being my last review of 2017. I come here only for quick grabs until one day in the middle of October to attend Filipino Street Festival at Levy Park. I took my time to complete my weekly shopping here. Sadly, I couldn't complete. Yeah. What's up with shelving half gallon milk up too high. All of the half gallon milk jugs are filled on top shelves while whole gallons are easily reachable. Guess what? I purposefully paid extra attention to the milk placement at different H-E-B stores in Chinatown, Royal Oaks, Sugar Land and Bunker Hill. Every one of them are easily reachable. One has one cooler just for half gallon jugs. It was very sad to see a young lady tip toes to reach above her head to get a half gallon jug. Another problem, they don't sell common brand of TV dinner I am used to. I spent over 20 minutes to analyze and my conclusion was they just can raise the price on "healthier" brands. But all TV dinners are bad. What's the difference? SMH. When I go grocery shopping I expect interactions from its customers, like quizzing at the shelves or help another shopper to grab a bag. At this H-E-B store I was shocked to see young people busy looking at their smart phones and not paying attention to their surroundings. Hello? I didn't get much interactions with staff. They are so-so to my book. Then, what about the clearance rack? I saw half-eaten lunch box left on the shelves and open cereal box. Uh? Yeah. P.S. I squeezed this review at 1:59:05 am CST to meet the deadline of midnight PST being counted as my 111th review of 2017.

Yelp
These massive vegan cinnamon rolls are amazing and reasonably priced. You're welcome!
google avatar

Yelp
Is there a better grocery store chain anywhere in the world? If so, where is it? I love my HEB.
google avatar

Michele W.

Yelp
I can nearly always find a compassionate young person working here to help me reach items. (I'm a short 79 yr. old lady.) They always ask me if they can load my car too! Love my H‑E‑B!
google avatar

Caleb H.

Yelp
I go to this HEB every weekend to get my groceries bit after today I am considering just going Randall's which is closer to home. The way they write their coupons makes no sense and it's like the third time I've had to deal with that. To make matters worse the cashier Ariana on register 13 was rude because I questioned the coupon. She even raised her voice at me and expected me to have no reaction to her cocky attitude!
google avatar

Kate M.

Yelp
I gave the curbside pick up another try. Oof, I really shouldn't have. Does anyone even look at what they are picking out for people? I had to return rotten cucumbers and yellowed kale that I had just picked up as soon as I got home. Do not do curbside at this location. Also, maybe don't have teenage boys as the grocery shoppers?
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
This particular branch is truly an asset to the HEB family. The food is fresh, well presented, and the staff are always extremely friendly and helpful. Today's review is to give a special thank you to the HEB Ready Meals. My review is for the New York strip steak with garlic butter, asparagus and potatoes. For $10-$12 (depending on which one you pick up) this is an excellent value, fresh meal that you cook at home. I've eaten several of these and each one was tender and delicious - highly recommended.
google avatar

Anna K.

Yelp
A few of my favorite things about this location: - Parking isn't too bad, even during peak hours - Love that they have plastic bag recycling bins in front - Produce variety is great and reasonably priced - Flower shop always has great options at decent prices and they have beautiful orchids that I like to buy as gifts - Service is nice and courteous - They carry some Central Market products too - Great seafood department! - Good salad bar What could be better: - Pre-packaged options could be wider but they have a good variety, especially deli sandwiches and sushi - Cat products: They don't carry my kitty litter brand (Fresh Step) in a reasonable size and they stopped carrying the Fancy Feast broths so I have to go to Kroger for my cat supplies
google avatar

Gicela R.

Yelp
Last time I order curbside from this H-E-B. Why did the employee place my loaf of bread under all my groceries and placed heavy items over my tostadas and hot dog buns. This is so upsetting. That's $20 wasted. Thank you H-E-B for hiring careless people
google avatar

Alex K.

Yelp
This is my favorite supermarket. I just finished my grocery shopping. Friendly and helpful staff. Specifically Mr. Hesham, he is always smiling, joyful and pleasant. His customer service is superb and first class all the time. He is a great asset to this store. Thank you Mr. Hesham.
google avatar

Jamie T.

Yelp
One time, I came in here for a cookie cake for a get-together. I asked the cake person to draw me a cat on the cake but they said they could not for some reason. So I got annoyed and told them to write the letters C A T on the cake. The person was like fine. I bring it over to the cash register and the dude tries to hold in his smile. 3 uncomfortable minutes later, he bursts out laughing. He asks me why I would ask for such a thing. I told him not to question it and to move along. Get-together was successful. H-E-B is alright in my book! Review was written by cat.

Yelp
My neighborhood H-E-B literally! Sometimes I walk here and stop at starbucks on the walk back home. I don't dare try to play parking wars on Sundays so if I really need to go I'll walk. It can get crazy here during peak hours but I love that they stay open late. They usually have plenty of registers open. They have pretty good selection of cooked foods, sushi, cheeses, seafood, meats, their produce could be a little better but can't have it all. Sometimes you can come and catch samples of things especially during holiday time. I'm sad I will be moving in a month so I'll have to go shop somewhere else =[

Yelp
See I made a wrong turn coming down Kirby and needed to go in the other direction; so I turned at Bissonnet St. to come down and turn left on Buffalo Speedway. And BAAM H-E-B was right there. It was really cute, and modern. In the parking lot they had one of those electric car plug up things. (I would think those cars would come with an extra battery pack like an Iphone or something. Since they claim they're so futuristic) Anyway the parking lot had an electric car whatever it is... So I drove up, parked, and walked in. Parking lot was clean and they had a good number of guys getting the baskets outside so that was good. I parked on to the far right hand side and the only entrance is on the far left. I passed two or 3 doors to get in.. I wasn't mad, just confused!! And I guess I could have come in one of the other doors, but I didn't want to look stupid walking in the exit door. My reason for saying all that is that I'm used to most H-E-B stores having 2 entrances. So I went in.. it kinda gave me that Whole Foods vibe, but still had that H-E-B feel. I don't know how to explain it any other way. But you'll see what I mean if you go. They had the regular stuff HEB have deli, sushi, cooked foods etc.. Clean grocery store, fresh produce... Now maybe it was me, but a couple of the aisles seemed kinda tight, like they tried to a few extra isles in. I don't know. But this HEB was cute!! Kudos HEB for building a modern store keeping up with the Jones' (AKA Whole Foods)!! Ohhh and every lane was open too... Check out was a breeze. I even bought an insulated earth bag..

Yelp
Due to the COVID situation, I've been checking out a lot of different grocery stores around Houston, and this HEB is one of my favorite! They have an extensive cheese selection, make-your-own 6 pack of beer from many local and small brands with unique and interesting flavors, and are very organized with knowledgeable staff. I'd recommend the entertainer's cracker selection that they sell here for making cheeseboards. They also often have great deals. Got a rotisserie chicken that came with free Hawaiian rolls and potato salad tub. Great deal. Their cakes and self-made peanut butter are also really good and decently priced.

Mat D.

Yelp
This review is for the seafood department. Daughter in town from college requested crawfish boil despite the late point in the season. I tried all my regular places including the HEB on Dunlavy but the manager at this location is the only one that came through. Asked on a Friday morning and he had 66 lbs waiting for me Saturday morning. Super professional- these guys are on top of it.
google avatar

Michelle B.

Yelp
This is our neighborhood HEB, and we love it! Our favorite part about this HEB is their wine department. Ryanne is awesome, and we love that she will personally help us find the right wine for anything - literally. She's helped us find our favorite wines to drink, gift, and cook with. Also, if you're looking for something and don't see it on the shelves, don't be shy! They are able to get in quite a few bottles that you may not see on the shelves, so it's definitely worth inquiring. They also run some fantastic sales throughout the year, so make sure to sign up for those! This HEB isn't huge, and the parking lot can be a mess, but it has everything you need. The cheese selection is solid, and we really like the butcher too. I also never buy toiletries anywhere else. The prices here cannot be beat, and they have a very solid selection as well. We used to do most of our shopping at Kroger, and slowly transitioned all of our shopping here and for specialty items to Central Market. We rarely have a need to go anywhere else.

Yelp
I LOVE HEB! I am taking the time to say THANKS for the ease of getting my Covid booster!!! There was a huge wait -weeks- at both Heights area locations & at San Felipe near the YMCA that I use. I was able to make a same day appointment at this location. I was in and out in less than half an hour. I think this was back in Oct. or Nov. My second vaccine was in February & it was a huge relief to get this done. I have shopped at this location for years before Buffalo Heights & Heights opened. I have absolutely nothing but positive experiences. The only improvement would be to add a BBQ restaurant like the Huntsville location, but I really want it at Buffalo Heights!!! Thanks again HEB!!!
google avatar

Blake C.

Yelp
Best store we have ever been to!! We wish we had something like this in south Louisiana!

Marshall M.

Yelp
Curbside at this location is horrific. Order was set for 7:00 - 7:30 and I received notification that it was "delayed". Order was marked "ready" at 8:49 so I traveled to the store and arrived at 9:20. I did not receive my order until 10:15. Nightmare Sunday night thanks to H‑E‑B. If you want a terrible start to your week go ahead and shop here on a Sunday.
google avatar

Whitney S.

Yelp
For the longest time this was my closest H-E-B but now I refuse to go here now that the newer bellaire one was built earlier this year. This store has a very poor produce section and the organics are even fewer. Whoever made this store did it with their eyes closed because it just does not flow. Also, I've heard of several people who have been robbed in this parking lot while children are in their baskets. Please keep your eyes open in the parking lot! There is only one security guard.
google avatar

Alexandra L. V.

Yelp
Two comments: (1) They answer the phone!!!!! (2) And There's customer Service here!!! :-O It's always out of stock at other stores. SMH... I've found that the employees here go out of their way to SERVE the customer. David and Ricardo, the manager, for instance, really went above and beyond to help me when I was returning my vacuum. It's always refreshing to come across employees who don't treat customer service as a discretionary act. David and Ricardo really want the extra mile to ensure that I left that store TRULY believing that Here, Everything's Better. ;-)
google avatar

NoFirstname M.

Yelp
Here everything is NOT better. I've encountered horrible service from the cashiers as well as from customer service. I'd hate to think it's racial profiling but I always have a negative experience with the employees at this location, not any others, and I love H‑E‑B. I guess I can no longer shop at this location if I want to shop in peace.

Ramesh S.

Yelp
Beware of the meat department. They do not honor their meat guarantee! I bought a 7 ribs ribeye roast with the "sell by" date of 12/24. When I opened it up on the morning of 25th to cook it, the stench filled the kitchen. Needless to say that it messed up my family's Christmas plans. Next day I took it back to the store looking for an apology and a refund. I was refused both!

Patricia D.

Yelp
Not sure why ALL the produce I paid for has MOLD! Like cmon now! Y'all can AT LEAST PICK GOOD ITEMS when you shopping for someone else! This is the THIRD time this has happened! At least when I order from Walmart I can give feedback on any & every item & I was easily refunded. H‑E‑B YALL GOTTA DO BETTER! We shop at H‑E‑B cause EVERYTHING is supposed to be better! I've wasted money, time, gas, & still gotta go to the store & shop for items I should have already had in my fridge from my first pickup! Ugh! Wish I would have token a picture before trashing everything! I was so disgusted. Do better H‑E‑B!
google avatar

V. C.

Yelp
Overall this store has an excellent selection; however, some of the rudest employees I've encountered in any HEB in Texas. Of course this serves as a deterrent from frequenting this location often. Although I live only about three minutes away from this HEB, I tend now to visit the Kroger across the street. For me, customer service is a huge determinant on where I spend my hard earned money.
google avatar

Shari S.

Yelp
Just to try something different, I decided to do my weekly shop at this HEB since I'd never been here before. To keep it short and sweet, here is what I thought about it: A) Very Crowded: I went here at 1 pm on a Sunday afternoon and it was a zoo, from the parking lot to inside. It was literally crawling with people which is slightly surprising given that there is a spacious well-stocked Kroger in the strip center across the street. B) Limited Selection of Items: As I hunted for basic stuff like Nabisco Ginger Snaps, carpet fresh, etc..., it quickly became clear that this is not the place for regular grocery shopping. This is a "destination" for people who want to have a fun date milling around HEB's tasting stations together or who perhaps want to pick up a couple of tubs of $6 Israeli couscous and one Lean Cuisine. More pedestrian items like canned pumpkin cannot be found here but fresh squash blossoms can. You get the picture. HEB is also big into pushing their own brands at the expense of ones I have known and loved for years. C) Irritating Checker: Without bothering to say hello, the lady who checked my groceries barked out a spiel of questions as I loaded my things on the belt: Do I want to help eradicate child hunger? Do I want to donate for breast cancer? Do I want to give a dollar to the Ronald McDonald House? Paper or plastic? Do I have coupons? And so on. She then proceeded to weigh and ring up my broccoli heads one by one even though I had them all in a clear plastic bag with the stickered price. I mentioned this and in a snotty way, she said "Let me see the bag" which I duly showed her (which was right in front of her.) She harrumphed and then went through the laborious process of cancelling out the individual broccoli charges. Overall, this HEB seemed like a poor cousin to Central Market which has pizazz and such superb produce/cheese/bread that I am glad tolerate the tasting station denizens and pay the high prices. The moment I was able to escape HEB's congested parking lot, I beelined it over to the sweet and friendly little Fiesta on Dunlavy to get the rest of my grocery shopping done. Nabisco Ginger Snap anyone?

I don't know , I am still loyal to CM. Yeah , HEB is a lot bigger but I don't like being blocked by shoppers running for free samples every second. Well .. HEB does carry more cereal brands than CM. Like Trix , Coco Puffs , Weetabix ...on a side note ... who on earth eats Weetabix? Seriously? It's like chopped up cereal boxes in a cereal box.. Anyhow, back to the review. Its a one stop for all your needs but I still like CM better and think it carries better produce than HEB.
