H-E-B in Plano, Texas is an impressive grocery store with a wide variety of food and drink options. The selection is excellent—from fresh produce and quality meats to a well-stocked seafood section and an amazing bakery filled with delicious treats. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate. It’s a one-stop shop with something for everyone, and there’s always something new to discover. Great service and a pleasant shopping experience every time.

HEB stays busy. This location is very well managed and the lines move quickly. I always find what I'm looking for and sometimes things I didn't know I needed. There is staff available to answer questions or help with a friendly smile, a greeting if you come across a store manager. The gas station is a bonus! I've had nothing but great experiences, the selection of beef is fantastic! Also, I love the fresh tortillas.

HEB is not just a grocery store — it’s a Texan tradition in itself. In past years, HEB has come up from not just south and central Texas, but now has made their debut as one of the only locations in North Texas (with Irving and Southlake slated to open more locations soon).

My experience at the one up on Preston Blvd. in Plano was probably by far one of the most memorable times I have ever gone to an HEB - let alone, the only one to exist in North Texas by far. When they mentioned size, though, let’s just say that they were NOT playing around when it came to size.

HEB is known for their saying — providing Texans with the lowest prices and the best quality in terms of groceries, everyday essentials, and so much more. In fact, I find it so convenient that they even sell everyday toiletries like you could find at a CVS, except for a lower price compared to other establishments like Central Market or Kroger’s. Because this supermarket was literally so big, there were so many lanes open and the checkout process literally went by QUICK.

I drive out to Plano from Sunnyvale once a week to visit my grandmother and buy her fresh produce and other items at HEB. But after dealing with THEO, a cashier at this location, we will NEVER go back. The first thing we noticed was how extremely helpful and patient he was to the Caucasian woman before us. But as soon as my grandmother and I approached the register, he slammed all of our items down the belt- which caused eggs to break and me having to stop the belt myself so that I could bag everything up the right way. I asked him if he could slow down when scanning and of course, he ignored me. When it was time to pay, Theo then had the audacity to rush my grandmother!! I informed him that she is 71 years old! There was no need for him to be rude or to rush her as if she was holding up the line. I was so upset , I stuck around to speak to a manager and to see how he treated the next customer behind us; which was the complete opposite of how we were treated. The customer service we experienced was incredibly disappointing and, quite frankly, disrespectful. I expected better from H-E-B given the amount of money we spend in their store. Discrimination is not okay and I will be reaching out to their corporate office to let them know the kind of employee they have working at their location in Plano.

Google
The way that they are consistently sold out of a few products is kind of odd and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced grocery shopping. I understand maybe here and there but like never having blueberry yogurt, milk, or even chicken thighs is kinda weird. Love HEB but always making two stops for milk….. Also quality in the ready meals and bread has consistently decreased since they opened

HEB Shoppers The people that shop for your delivery will literally pick and pack rotten food. There’s just no way they didn’t see what they were grabbing was rotten and leaked juice.. is it too much work to mark it as out of stock and deduct from my order ? I’d rather miss an ingredient than have stinky onion juice on my kitchen counter. Delivery drivers are excellent but shoppers really pick nasty spoiled produce (this is not the first time)

I had a wonderful experience thanks to Jordan, an H-E-B employee who went above and beyond to help me. I was having trouble finding a specific tortilla, and not only did she stop what she was doing to assist me and walked with me, searched diligently, and made sure I left with exactly what I needed. Jordan was kind, patient, and genuinely cared about helping me. Her positive attitude and willingness to go the extra mile didn’t go unnoticed. She is a true example of what excellent customer service looks like! Thank you, Jordan, you made my day! 💛

**5 Stars for H-E-B: The Grocery Store of My Dreams! 🛒🌟** Let me start by saying, my shopping trip to H-E-B was less of a chore and more of a culinary adventure. I walked in for a few essentials, but I left with a cart full of joy, a heart full of gratitude, and a newfound obsession with their fresh homemade tortillas. First, let’s talk about the tortilla station. It’s like the Beyoncé of the grocery world—flawless, mesmerizing, and impossible to ignore. Watching those little dough balls transform into warm, fluffy tortillas was pure entertainment. I grabbed a bag (okay, three bags) straight off the machine, and let me tell you, they were so fresh, they practically hugged me back. I ate one in the parking lot, and it was so good, I considered canceling my dinner plans and just making a taco right then and there. But wait, there’s more! The taco chips? Oh, they’re a game-changer. Crunchy, salty, and perfectly seasoned—they’re the kind of chips that make you forget you even have salsa. I may or may not have opened the bag in the car and eaten half of it before I got home. No regrets. And can we talk about H-E-B’s selection? It’s like they took every grocery store on the planet, combined the best parts, and sprinkled in some Texas-sized magic. The produce section was so fresh, I half expected the vegetables to start introducing themselves. The meat department looked like it was prepping for a Food Network show, and the bakery? Don’t even get me started. The staff was incredibly friendly, too. Shoutout to the employee who helped me find the perfect avocado and didn’t judge me for my cart full of tortillas and chips. You’re the real MVP. H-E-B isn’t just a grocery store; it’s a lifestyle. If you haven’t been, drop everything and go. And if you don’t leave with at least one bag of fresh tortillas, you’re doing it wrong. 10/10 would recommend. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have a date with some chips, guac, and a tortilla blanket I may or may not have also bought. 🌮🥑

Yelp
This has been open almost 2 years and although it can't hold a candle to its mother locations, it's still a good place to get your basic groceries. I still come here for the tortillas, vitamins, beef, and snacks. Especially the Beef. I had that lovely Wagyu beef and it's just a fantastic cut.

Yelp
Visited HEB a lot when I was in a different city and so of course visiting here is a bit nostalgic. HEB's a lot bigger than I remembered and that's saying a lot. The huge carts are way too big and tall and could be smaller to be honest. Their grocery bags could be sturdier and bigger as they're way too small and break easily. I have to go all the way to the other side (if I'm in the grocery area) to use the restroom. Come on, there needs to be more than one in this type of place. If I was navigating there minus the people/carts, no issue. But getting there and having to stop every 5 seconds it's terrifying all things considered. Place gets way too crowded and a lot of that's due to the humongous carts in my opinion. Also staffers are within the store quite a lot but they seem to just need to get by instead of actually staffing. I'm not quite sure why. Maybe they're filling a curbside or online order and can't be bothered.

Yelp
What a huge disappointment!! I had heard about how awesome HEB stores are. I finally visited one and I kept wondering, is this place really what people rave about? Big store. I immediately visited the prepared food section, since I was told this is a great area. I picked up a Greek salad, turned it over, and noticed the lettuce on the bottom was brown and slimy. Hmm... I looked at the other salads, all the same. I perused the store and found very little bargains. Their HEB brand cheeses appeared less expensive than most stores, but all in all, not worth a trip to there. I had to visit the restroom. Once I finally located it, I immediately noticed the funky smells. This was one thing I saw in the reviews, that they keep the restrooms clean and tidy. Not here. I used the facilities and then realize that the fricken stall door won't open. I can't even count how many times I tried opening it. I started thinking, am I going to have to crawl underneath the door to get out?? An employee was in the restroom and had me move to the back of the stall for her to forcefully shove the door open. By this time, I am frustrated and embarrassed. The employee did not put a sign on the door, just left it for someone else to get stuck in it. Finally, I went to a register to pay for some cheese. The employee did not look up, say anything- she was clearly hating her job. Not my fault, lady. The credit card reader (not a scanner) was not accepting my card, so the sour-faced employee literally grabbed my card and put it into the reader a few times until it read. She then held out the receipt. I took out the credit card and looked at her... she said "here you go" and I left. I just don't get it... dirty facility, old food and deplorable customer service.

Yelp
My first time at HEB. I love perusing a grocery store, and man, there was so much to look at. I had googled what to buy from this article: https://www.kwsanantonio.com/news/amp/26-h-e-b-products-texans-cant-live-without/ Huge shout out to Denise for guiding me towards her favorite products. She said to buy the fresh queso near the produce dept and use beer instead of milk. Can't wait to try it! So many nice and helpful employees. This ain't no Kroger! The bathrooms were clean and large stalls with real walls.

Yelp
The pharmacy here is a mess. I have been on hold multiple times for over 20 minutes without anyone ever answering. I come to the location people parked in the pharmacy drop off and pick up only sections so the lines to get your prescription are insane. On top of that when you get here plan to wait for at least 15 minutes for a pick up. Wish this wasn't the case I love HEB but definitely cannot trust the pharmacy to have it together

Yelp
We finally had a good experience at this H‑E‑B location!!!! Yay! Our receipt was correct for the 1st time in 4 visits. Where I wish someone had reached out to us...upper management definitely dropped the ball!!!!!! Purchased & just tasted the fresh mozzarella balls with sun-dried tomatoes...Deliciousness! Will definitely buy this item again. And we are also a fan of the Boars Head gorgonzola, we eat it on salads. Yum! In the deli there were 3 hard working women, but the rest of the crew were having serious giggle & party show. Bob was going around to each group and telling some good stories...but he was laughing the most at his own jokes/conversation. It took 20 minutes to get a pound of Boars Head pancetta. Andrew & Blake did a great job of checking us out, with Andrew politely commenting I grouped all groceries by paper, produce, meat and pantry...making for easy bagging. Here's to hopping our next experience gets 5 stars.

Yelp
Very first experience with H.E.B.'s fresh-to-go cuisine section & devoured every bite!! although i've had better spring rolls, it was a delight nonetheless. Definitely cannot wait for my future trips there. it was my first time going there as well so it's seemingly chaotic, a zoo. had fun though!

Yelp
HEB is ginormous! It's about the size of a Walmart Supercenter but instead of having the household, electronics, and clothing sections that Walmart has, it's 98% grocery items. The thing that makes HEB so popular is its chef-prepared food items. From BBQ sandwiches to sushi, you can get fresh prepared food here that was made in-house. It's certainly a draw and the food is good! One thing that I like a lot about HEB, is that they have a meal prep section with A LOT of options. The food is good and heats up in 2 to 20 minutes. Some of the cook times need some review, but for the most part, the cook times are accurate. They also have the options sectioned by need including "low carb", "vegetarian," etc. There's also a small home and decor section in the store that rotates with the seasons and is along the same lines of what you'd find at HomeGoods, Buccee's or a nice home decor boutique. They also have a small amount of HEB branded merch, in case you love HEB just that much. So why not 5 stars? This place can be overwhelming. It's so packed and so huge that it can be frustrating to get in and get out (hmm kinda like Walmart). The staff at the checkout are very friendly but the lines can be long depending on when you come here. I avoid popular days here like the plague to avoid the crowds, but this place is never empty. Well, unless you go at 2am maybe. Also, because of the size, some things may be hard to locate within the store. The aisles, items, and sections of the store where things are can be challenging to find depending on what you're looking for. The last time I was there, I had a terrible time finding Arizona green tea among the 3-4 beverage aisles. Yes, you read that right - 3-4 beverage aisles. Most grocery stores have one beverage aisle, maybe two at the most. HEB has three or four. And there's traffic in ALL OF THEM. Aside from these things, HEB is great and I definitely recommend checking it out. Just don't say I didn't warn you if you go on a Saturday afternoon. You'll be sorryyyyyy....

Yelp
I love this store and go there about 5 times a week but tonight after buying a few items I was out side having a quite and friendly conversation with a friend and the security gaurd approached my friend and I and said that they were closing soon and we need to wrap it up. I know the regular security gaurd and we always speak and he is friendly and respectful. I am 58 years old, both my friend and i were far away from the store and absolutly posed no concern or threat to any one we were close to the gas pumps and there was absolutly no reason for him to talk to customers that way. He is the reason why police offers get a bad name. It reminded me of Barney Fify if there is nothing going on then he will make something out of nothing. HEB needs to have a sturn conversation with this guy as I will not tolerate being treated that way from a security gaurd for no reason.

Yelp
Out of many HEB's I have visited, this one is the fanciest, biggest, most organized, and even the employees are amazing. Their butter tortillas are always warm and fresh when we can get our hands on them. The produce is always super fresh. The lines can get long but move quickly. The staff always ask if I need help to my car even. They even offer curbside pickup and it's amazing! Y'all if you haven't been to an HEB then come to this one because it representssssss! The only downside is you'll be spoiled cuz this one is so bomb ~~
google avatar

Lily H.

Yelp
Finally got to visit this location of HEB... and thought it was just like any other grocery store. Nothing spectacular about it except that is is new... but offers the same items as other regular grocery stores. It was nice, just like other stores like Central Market and Whole Foods, to see an area of ready to go meals like salads, pastas, and salmon and veggies. I tried the salmon and veggies for dinner and it was okay. I prefer a very similar product at Market Street. In my opinion too, the store was just too busy and chaotic. Not worth the traffic to get regular grocery items.

Yelp
H-E-B is an incredible grocery chain, and we are so fortunate to have one in Plano. No other grocery chain has the amazing service, products, selection and prices that H-E-B does. What is so special about H-E-B? No question, their store brands are amazing. Pick the H-E-B brand, or even Hill Country, and you are practically guaranteed something comparable or BETTER THAN name brands but with a lower price. And store brands are offered in just about every single product. I would rather shop at H-E-B because their staples like bread, cheese, coffee, and produce are just better and cheaper than other chains. H-E-B is in it to win it. I sincerely hope they thrive in the Dallas area just like they have in the rest of Texas cities where they are well loved.

Yelp
This review is specifically for the bakery department. My husband and I chose HEB to make our wedding cake. The experience started out promising. We went in for a cake consultation, tried out all of the different flavor options, and then placed our cake order 2 weeks in advance of our wedding. We were told the cake would be ready the day-of the wedding, and we even paid the cake in full in advance. Unfortunately, my husband stopped by HEB the morning of the wedding only to be told that there was no cake for us, and somehow the bakery department completely forgot to make our cake. Needless to say this was totally unacceptable for them to drop the ball in this manner. They rushed our cake on the spot and made it in an hour, but I would assume the quality of cake was not the same (as the wedding cake lead was not there that morning). And this also added unnecessary stress to a very important day. We've reached out to customer service and the store management team about this, but they are refusing to refund the cost of the cake and instead are only willing to offer an HEB gift card that is not even close to equivalent to the price we paid for the cake. Overall just stay far away and look elsewhere for wedding cakes.

Yelp
This was our first visit to this HEB, and we anticipated a horrible experience because of its newness, its rarity, and its awesomeness combined with the constantly growing, swollen masses of humanity in the DFW metroplex. It wasn't a bad visit! Getting in and out of the parking lot was easy, and much less of a hassle than with small town HEB parking lots. The store was crowded but also laid out in a manner that facilitated traffic. The shelves were well-stocked, despite some nationwide food shortages. It is January 2023 and, tell me, when is the last time you could find the OG Sriracha in a supermarket? I would come back here in a heartbeat and load up for the week or two - especially for produce. Their produce department is second to none.

Yelp
I came here just for the pharmacy because I had a GoodRx coupon for one of my mom's prescriptions. I remember having an HEB close by when I lived in Austin and I lived HEB when I lived there so I'm glad to see they're coming to the DFW metroplex now. There's just such a "vibe" about an HEB that I love. What I'm most excited about, though, is that the pharmacy offers compounding services for vet meds! I currently have 3 medications for my 2 cats that require compounding so I hope HEB is able to offer them at/below where I'm getting them now. You can either come pick them up in-store or they'll ship them to you. This definitely isn't the closest grocery store to me but I'd be willing to drive up here to get that HEB vibe again & make use of their pharmacy.

Yelp
My first experience inside one of the new Dallas-Fort Worth area H-E-B's has finally happened at it was a great experience! It was interesting to see what a proudly Texan grocery chain puts in front of its newest customers and I was impressed from every angle! Great selection, great prices, great people!

Yelp
It's obvious from the instant you walk in the door, These Guys know what they're doing. The DFW grocery market is one of the most competitive in the country. Some heavy hitters have come and gone including Food Lion, Winn Dixie and others. They all made huge investments and had to walk away. The new Texas Disneyland of grocery stores known as HEB has had a solid reputation as a smaller regional grocer, concentrated in San Antonio, Austin and places south. Their foray into this market comes with enormous commitments to what can only be described as Super Stores. Everything is big and the offerings are big. I dare say anything you want lies between these walls. Every grade and cut of meat to,bakery items, cheeses, on and on. I picked up fresh gulf shrimp, a Wagu Strip steak, esoteric gouda cheese and yes, a 75 cent grocery store donut! I left with two small bags and a $60 tab. This is what they are hoping for and what they will have to have to survive. The place is bonkers with people everywhere, full baskets, and crowded isles. Again,I can't imagine it remaining like this but, It feels like to maintain the extensive offerings and keep the doors open, its imperative. I hope they succeed because I love food and choice. These guys add another layer of diverse selection to my shopping options and thats never a bad thing

Yelp
Sign, sign, everywhere a sign Blocking out the scenery, HEB is on my mind... Billboards for days. "Coming soon!" "Almost open!" "Opening date!" and finally, Image of large bowl of guacamole with logo and no copy at all for some reason! (literal Plot Twist, which is ironically the name of their new ad agency) I planned to wait a bit and avoid the crowds. Then it just happened, on a weekend afternoon returning from brunch, I decided to risk it all and potentially trigger every aspect of my agoraphobia. Here's how it went down... Parking lot vibe: Beyond Thunderdome. The space: Huge. Seemed clean and organized. Probably nicer without all the people in the way. The experience: My entire shopping trip felt like I was waiting for a new ride at Disneyland. The only reason I didn't abandon my cart and make a break for it was because the exit was too hard to get to. The inventory: -A junk food junkie's dream! Got my fix with Twinkie flavored k-cups -Pre-prepared food (some keto-ish!) that did not look appetizing enough for the price -Decent mix of healthy snacks, powders, and potions, but priced higher than other stores -Produce section for the win + smaller sizes of prepped veggies (genius) -Deli/bbq/meat/fresh tortilla counters were inaccessible The employees: Trained right. Pride in their jobs. Genuinely helpful. I was happy to find the wine section and try a few to help me relax for the rest of my shopping journey. Sample guy shared appreciation for my Motorhead shirt and we talked about music. Stress level dropped a bit, thanks dude. Also, they have a whole crisis team directing traffic for the checkout lanes. Overall takeaway: No disrespect, but this store is just not the right fit for me.

Yelp
I LOVE H-E-B!!! I was so excited when I heard they were coming to the DFW area! They've only been open a few weeks but we braved the crowd anyway on a Friday early afternoon. The store did not disappoint. The clerks that worked there were extremely friendly and helpful. I went in looking to buy some of their bratwurst, which I have had before and it is quite delicious. I was also looking for ready made food for dinner. It also appears I had a major carb attack! EVERYTHING we bought is top notch quality and the prices are decent. The store is so huge and since it was my first visit, I wasn't familiar with where everything was located. The store was very crowded with lots of other shoppers. I will definitely be back because I now have many more favorites to purchase again. I also saw many products I want to buy on a return visit. I hope H-E-B fully expands in the entire DFW area. The other grocery stores that are already here have nothing on H-E-B.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
This grocery store makes me cringe. From the very beginning it is ridiculously crowded, the aisles are too narrow, the employees are dragging bales of cardboard across the sales floor at 9 on a Saturday morning, pallets are all over the floor. It is ridiculous uncomfortable and today is the last day until a shopping here.

Yelp
Special Preview Day Before Opening Day: H-E-B has come to Plano, TX. Knowing the competitive market it has entered, H-E-B has brought its flair of Central Market to the Walmart & Whole Foods crowd. If you enter from the south entrance, you are greeted with rows of fresh fruits and vegetables - floral scents from bouquets of flowers and the sweet smell of BBQ! Prepared meals and sushi will catch your attention as you move towards a huge selection of in-store made bakery items. More prepped items greet you into rows of seafood, meats and chicken. Don't want their BBQ? No problem, because they have some many options to please your grill. Christmas charcuterie boards will be flavored with the cheese and spread options displayed at this store. It is a can't miss view of world cheeses. Moving through the store, our guide pointed out local flavors with signage to boot. TIP: Look for items with the "local" tag that reflect companies from Texas. To go with that cheese, HEB has a large wine & beer section. Having the opportunity to meet one of wine specialists, I was able to get a preview of how the area is set up. They also offer samples of choice wines and there is an area of chilled wines. TIP: Look for their digital deals that are highlighted in store and available from their app. Our guide also highlighted that endcaps could have full meal options and specials for the week. I have never smelled a candle that smelled like butter tortillas - until today! And the household section had full rugs, outdoor furniture, pet beds and holiday decorations. I enjoyed learning about the HEB brands and the company's dedication to Texas. (They are actually an international company that only functions in one state in the US - the great country of Texas!) Last Tip: Download the app. The deals are housed there - including items on sale.

Yelp
Leny from True Texas BBQ was amazing, and professional he was so kind. I will be back just because of Leny! He made my day the service with a smile rare but grately appreciate it.

Yelp
We came here for the barbecue and sushi. We hoped to buy the winning Mega Millions ticket but that's about the only thing they don't sell. This is a really big store and there are a lots and lots of people here on a Sunday afternoon. We have been here on weekday and the crowd is smaller.

Yelp
I don't know what all the hype is about. CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS!!!! Wait! There is NO CUSTOMER Service. If you want to return an item, you have to stand on them outrageously long lines. It's awful! STAFF is immature, spending more time giggling with their colleagues instead of assisting customers with their needs! HEB, Enjoy the hype while it'll be short lived! Clearly y'all do not cater to your customers with NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! I won't shop anywhere that make it difficult for me to return an item I'm dissatisfied with

Yelp
Here Everything's Better! This place is huge! As big as Texas! (Not actual size). This store is specifically all about Texas. No need to go to Kroger anymore, Plano! HEB has arrived! Y'all're so lucky! Be sure to check out all the products that you can't get at any other supermarket, like their brand chips, salsas, and ice cream. Any of their stuff is better than whatever Tom Thumb is pushing. Yes, better than Blue Bell. Their BBQ is amazing! They have their own restaurant inside the store. A pharmacy, and a meat counter, a deli, a bakery- this place has it ALL! Amazing! all their stuff strives to be like Texan tastes- we like our chips a bit more spicy, our portions a bit bigger, our Red and bit more Big. Hill Country Fare tends to be the cheapest, followed by HEB brand, and Mi Tienda, Central Market. If you've ever shopped at Central Market Plano, you know what these Texas natives are up to with lots of fun displays, awesome coupon deals, a super cool digital app, and fun store displays make this a great place to shop. This grocery store is taking on the competition in Plano, who is already accustomed to the HEB spirit, since they have a Central Market, also an HEB brand. Ditch that kroger, they ain't Texan.

Yelp
This place is a ZOO! We tried coming during evenings, and it was still packed! If you are okay with it, it is best to park at the end of the parking lot so you do not get stuck circling the lot for like 15 minutes to find a parking spot close to the entrance. Despite the madness, we are excited that there is an HEB in the DFW area (even if it is a 20 minute drive). They have a great selection of dairy, eggs, juices, fruits, vegetables, and meats. Everything is well stocked despite how many people are walking through the doors each minute! I love the fresh butter flour tortillas! That alone are worth the trip!

Everyone raves about this H‑E‑B- however we've come twice and both times we had issues- 1st time- the meat department told us it would be 10 minutes to wait for meat to be cut however they continued to help 5 other customers instead of us and it turned into 45 minute wait and no updates. They kept blowing us off and giving bullshit answers. We ended up leaving. The other time we went- we used the app for the coupons because they were out of the paper coupons for most items and when checking out the app didn't fully apply all the clipped coupons. The cashier and manager s said "oh the app messes up sometimes and doesn't fully run" like why is it an option then?!? I understand this a very popular grocery store- but just disappointed.

Yelp
An employee namedLayne was very rude and unwelcoming to me and my child. He was cursing non stop. I am very disappointed with the service here.

Yelp
Big store, clean and well stocked. I was there early so No Bakery or sushi items out. Prices seemed high but staff was nice.

Yelp
I love H‑E‑B so much I come from Dallas to pick up my curbside order from here. Having gone to college in Austin and then moving back home, at the time, meant no longer having an H‑E‑B near me and I was gutted. When I found out they were coming to DFW, I couldn't wait, and H‑E‑B Plano doesn't disappoint. I love their crib side service. I definitely recommend their app if you are a curbside shopper or shop there in general, so many incredible coupons. Their name-brand packaged and fresh made food is truly delicious. So happy I can shop here again!

Yelp
Overall the BBQ here is surprisingly good, the beef brisket, turkey and chicken, chili and wings are all good., the one caveat, do not buy the Dino Beef Ribs, these are 70% fat..and they only serve

Yelp
This store is beautiful, big, and busy. Went for the crawfish. My recommendation is to go early before they run out. I think they start at 11 am and run out a few hours later. We got 12lbs of crawfish and 3lbs of shrimp. They were amazing. Made me feel like I was back home in Louisiana.

Yelp
I don't get the hype. I was on that side of town on a Saturday and the place was packed. It was frustrating and overwhelming, to say the least. People blocking shelves, standing in the middle of aisles, and just being the typical mindless shopper. No amount of "excuse me" and "pardon me" would get people out of your way. At first blush, I couldn't quite tell what was going on with the store's layout. The place is massive, but I felt like I spent more time walking in circles than I did finding what I needed. One thing that's cool is if you're on their website, it points to the general area of where a particular item is on a map. Another bonus is that they have a large variety of items. I really like that there are a lot of plant-based and vegan items on the shelves that I'd probably have to go to Whole Foods or Sprouts for ordinarily. It saves me a trip. Outside of the shopping experience, HEB is okay. I didn't feel like "everything's better" as their slogan goes and I didn't see or experience the god-like status of HEB that everyone touts. It was just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to shop here.

Yelp
I thought the long lines and crowded isles would've decreased by now, but not so. It's still a challenge to go down or up any isle in the store. They have workers to help manage the long checkout lines. The parking is not fun trying to find a place to park.

Yelp
Just spent a little over $200 in here and shocked when I was leaving a customer brought her dog in the store. Placed the puppy in top of cart. Think I'll bring my shopping cart in the future. Called the store and was told they allow it YUK

Yelp
It's quiet a drive but they will have what ever you need. You could spend a day there if you want but shopping is not my favorite thing to do in a crowded store but my wife loves this store so there's that. They have plenty of staff to help you navigate through the store.

Yelp
Here's what we liked about H-E-B West Plano... 1. great seafood market, not a huge selection but what they have is very fresh and reasonably priced. 2. great meat market, the meat looked to be a very high quality 3. three different sizes of fresh squeezed OJ 4. great service, employees are everywhere 5. well stocked, the day we were there all the shelves were full 6. grab-and-go, amazing selection of premade meals 7. big selection, thousands and thousands of SKU's... so many choices! 8. bulk bar, fresh candies and nuts 9. no lines, sufficient check-out stations and personnel 10. tortillas, these are authentic and made fresh all day long AND, gotta add this new one, their brand of ice cream is AMAZING! Like I could eat the whole pint in one sitting. Try the toffee coffee for sure!

Yelp
Huge disappointment in the meat department! Bought eye of the round roast for Sunday dinner. Worst cut of meat ever! It was tough, stringy, and bland. I've purchased and prepared this cut of meat for decades. I will continue to shop at this beautiful and long awaited H.E.B here in Plano. We have shopped the hill country locations over the years and couldn't wait for the expansion to north Texas. Overall, I give high marks to this store and it's great selection. My hope is that someone in the H.E.B organization will read this and make improvements regarding their meat supplier. We are blessed in DFW to have many grocery options.

Yelp
Just wait for the hype to calm down!! It's a madhouse! Lol! H‑E‑B never fails to impress but it's crowded here for now.

Yelp
This store is giant! Amazingly staffed with courteous employees all over. Ladies... they sell OLAPLEX here! AND had coupons for 30% off during opening. I was so impressed I almost fainted. Amazing assortment of makeup and hair products. Great selection of pre-made nutritious meals that are priced super affordably. Giant beer and wine selection , and I was super impressed with their nutrition aisle. They carry brands that it can be difficult to find in general (Legendary, 3D). This one is bigger than the Frisco location, and I will definitely be visiting weekly!

Yelp
We arrived early Friday afternoon, trying to beat a busy weekend of shoppers. Were we wrong. The place was packed. And huge. 118,000 square feet. WHAT STOOD OUT True Texas BBQ restaurant with a drive-thru, which was named best barbecue chain in Texas by Texas Monthly. The BBQ was tasty, but I'd give it a B+ compared to the highly rated BBQ restaurants I've visited. Appetizing and wide selection of meats sliced to order. Fully staffed plus many self-checkouts. Employees squeeing past us and other shoppers to restock shelves during a busy time of day. Okay, shoppers make you feel like there's no tomorrow, and restocking is important. Employees are friendly and helpful. But they move fast, so you have to catch up to them if you have a question. AVOID THE CROWD Unless you like the press of a lot of people, avoid weekends and late afternoons when people are getting off work.

Yelp
I'll admit it. I didn't understand the H‑E‑B hype. Despite 20 years of shopping at - and loving - Central Market, I couldn't understand how a simple grocery store could drive such devotion. I figured it was a grocery store Buccees type thing. Cool but overhyped. Then I shopped there. All of the products you'd buy at other stores, and at competitive prices. Unique store brands - all that we've tried are delicious so far. Quality produce and meat - to Central Market standards. Convenient and good ready to serve products. We have yet to find anything we don't like and we've already abandoned all of our other stores except Trader Joe's and Braums. That's a game changer for me. Thanks for coming to north Texas, H-E-B. We're fans and are already loyal customers.

Yelp
My wife had to stock up on HEB coffee. It is excellent. Much cheaper in the store than ordered on the internet, I hope the new Reasor's in Broken Arrow will be similar to a HEB Central Market

Yelp
I love it here! It's just as great as the Frisco location. Fully stocked, cheaper prices, great customer service, and clean. Can't wait to try their bbq! Love HEB!

Yelp
6/15/23: We were pleasantly surprise with the food from the BBQ eatery side. We wanted to pick up a few sides to go with some ribs we had at home. We ordered potato salad, fried okra, collard greens, and cornbread. The sides were pretty good and hot! While the inside of the store is pretty nice, I wanted to draw attention to the BBQ eatery side.

Yelp
Remember LUNCH at Luby's with your parents. Check out the Luby's products in the frozen food section. Everyone at this store is helpful and friendly.

Yelp
I've been accused of being obsessed with H‑E‑B, recently, and I'm fine with that! We used to drive to Burleson, but now they're in my backyard and I couldn't be more thrilled! I'm mostly impressed with how they have managed the chaos of opening week! It feels busy, but without the mayhem that comes with crowds. Adequately staffed with top tier service professionals! I just know the cleanliness, vast selection, and exceptional service will continue even once the novelty has worn off, because this IS the H‑E‑B brand. Texas culture is unique and H‑E‑B is quintessentially Texas!

Yelp
This isn't central market so let's not act like it is. The prices were great, the staff and security were friendly, and depending on the hour it's not chaotic. Come with an open mind and you'll love it! I sure did!
