H-E-B

H-E-B curbside generally costs more than in-store shopping due to item price markups (often cited as 3–5%) and occasional service fees, making it a “pay for convenience” option rather than a flat, transparent fee. However, several items in my order were marked up far beyond that range. One item was nearly 14% higher than the in-store price. Had I known this, I would never have chosen curbside. We work hard to earn a living, and this pricing practice does not feel fair or ethical. I only discovered this after calling customer service because my receipt did not match the pricing on my items. During that call, I also learned that when a meat item is unavailable and substituted, it is not rescanned to reflect the actual product or weight received. Instead, customers are charged based on the original item scanned. As a result, I received less meat but was charged more. While a refund was issued after I called, I would not have known about these overcharges had I not carefully reviewed my itemized receipt. That is deeply concerning and places an unfair burden on the customer. Another company who hides this under a brief "prices may vary online and in store message".

While it can get a bit busy, I've never had a bad experience here. There is a good variety of product for all types of diets. Employees are generally very helpful. The only complaint I would have is the timing of their mid day zone coupled with curbside shoppers. Some aisles aren't big enough for in store customers, the big red curbside carts and employees stocking/zoning the shelves. It can become a bit of a traffic jam that can make it a frustrating if you're in a rush. Overall, its really the only place I want to shop for groceries.

I have always admired HEB. When we lived in Austin this was our go to shopping place. The deals were limitless. The variety was amazing. A mega grocery experience. We could have lingered in there forever! What a smorgasbord of sights, sounds, touch, and smells. Shoppers were traipsing down aisles with wild abandon. Ready made meal, easy lunches and dinners, and an array of grill hero items.

Horrible delivery experience. No follow-ups for original delivery date and i had to make multiple calls to the store between yesterday and today. The last Delivery driver was told to drop off the items specifically at a certain location and still refuse to. During the 2nd attempt of delivering the driver left it somewhere but didn’t specify where. I ended up having to call HEB main customer support to get this resolve and still waiting on what happened. Dropping off items without placing them in bags or boxes is very unprofessional as well.

While I used to be all for HEB, it’s being brought to my attention in a negative way how their management seems to treat their staff. Every time I’ve gone in there these past few times, they’re just so sarcastic to their employees and negative. Now usually I would mind my business, but their management is just so negative it makes me not want to shop, but I love my HEB. Now, personally I will say I have dealt with Rebecca and she’s just a pain. She never makes eye contact, treats you like you’re plain stupid, she just has the worst attitude there, and I feel it really reflects on everyone else around her, and it’s sad because I’ll post this and nothing will change because as you notice HEB only responds to positive comments. Best prices, best selection, best customer service of any grocery chain in existence. The HEB brand alternatives are always as good (if not better) than the name brands. Their ready made products (like chips and guacamole) are our favorite! Prices are always more than competitive. This company cares about its customers (they don't just say it, they act on it)! I'm a hard-core fan!

I had the most wonderful experience today at the Barbecue Section. I did not know where to get started. I met this wonderful person that works there named Rhonda. She guided me thru the whole process and then followed up to make sure I good. You guys need to go by and at least say "Hi" to her.

Let me start by saying, that I have shopped at HEB grocery stores, but I have posted anything about it. First apologies, I forgot to take pictures, to include with this review. I just love coming to this place and it's very obvious in all appearance that staff have pride (which many places lack sad to say), the store is very clean, staff very friendly and always ready to assist you. The shopping buggies are also clean as well. Today I was in the hunt for (no not the Red October, yep movie reference), but for breakfast cereal. I purchased the HEB brands and why not? They have the same ingredients as the name brand cereals. Yes, yes, I purchased seven (7) boxes of cereal. The child in me could not resist. This is one of the most clean and organized grocery stores I have been to, but not just this store but every HEB, grocery store. The cashier who checked me out was Ms. Kim H., with a sweet smile, and very cheerful. She was very friendly and it's employees, like her that makes me want to visit again. Come and sed for your self.

Overall, awesome store. I've visited a few times and wow, there so many nutritious foods & budget-friendly options. Customer service has mostly been good and the store is always clean and inventory well-stocked. For a large chain, can't beat it! Plus, there is a great gifting and party supplies area.

I love love love HEB, but there are still none in the city of Dallas! This is the closest one to me and it's ALWAYS busy! There's nothing really stand out about this location. The only thing worth mentioning is that the area for drive-up orders is very tight! I'm always afraid that the staff might get hit by an inattentive driver. They definitely need some more space in this area.

I picked up $100 Apple Card for my phone and got home it was invalid. Came back to the store was told I was out of luck and they would not issue a refund or help in any way. My $200 week grocery bill will be for someone else now. Hop it was worth it.

The food has great quality and the service is terrific! It also makes me feel warm and welcome, I definitely recommend this place.

I often come to this heb, only 5 minutes from me, and I'm never dissapointed. Like most hebs the hospitality is always great and the options they have are amazing. I always buy my fruit, veggies from here because they have some amazing fresh options. On this day i bought a fresh red snapper to grill and i have to say it was amazing. Fresh they descaled it for me as well.

Visited this one a lot when we lived here. They are doing a lot of construction in the front. It's interrupted the garden area which is what I came for, as other HEB stores have a specific potting soil for sale that is hard to find. With the construction, the garden area was very limited.

Every register open current wait time ....... We've been in line for 18 minutes! Listen love the brand but with popularity comes responsibly. Ennis Texas has a pantry store within 15 minutes and it's just as busy. While we plan to move back to the Houston area wouldn't it be a good idea to enlarge Ennis, improve customer service in both locations and give Walmart a fight for the business???? This location also maintains a 87% in stock position as opposed to the traditional 91% preferred retail grocery goals. Service related review!

Little bites muffins box smash and one side of box partial opened. Manager rude saying unable to give any sort of discount, if it wasn't for my toddler that would t allow me to leave without them I would not have full price... this store should place damage items on shelf..

Since I moved to the area, all I have heard was "You must go to H-E-B" so I did and noticed that this location is much different than the Central Market that is near downtown. The prices are higher and the selection of fresh items are not the same. After searching the bakery area for multi-berry muffins I was told that they didn't have them in months while standing in front of the bakery area. So I went to grab some Guacamole and noticed that it was a dollar higher. After that I turned to the deli which is across the aisle from the bakery just to hear that they don't make sandwiches.Customer service was decent and the environment was good. So I get it, one more grocery and the other is a market. I will continue to drive out to the Market Place and get the things I need.

So disappointing. Fell for their curbside Thanksgiving dinner. They took my payment online without a hitch. But the whole follow through thing? Not so much. Half our order never showed up. Ridiculous. And no forewarning... on Thanksgiving. Thanks a lot HEB. Guess we'll do Doritos and PBJs for Thanksgiving. NEVER trusting you turkeys again.

My husband is from the Houston area, so the fact that there isn't a local H-E-B here in Dallas was a bummer for him. So I figured, why not take a "road trip" to Waxahachie and let him get a taste of home while getting some dope grocery prices while we're at it? And I'm glad we did. The truth is...my father-in-law grills some of the best steaks in Texas. And one of the reasons is the H-E-B brand steak seasoning. We had some steaks in the freezer that we wanted to throw on the grill; so this trip to Waxahachie was well worth it. ;) H-E-B has some incredibly delicious selections in their sushi section, their bakery, produce, and MEATS. And everything is so well priced! We already love going to Central Market here in Dallas, but something about HEB's selections made bulk shoppin there feel so productive!

I'm not sure where to start on this one but it's a little like bucees for groceries. You know how much I like my Texas based Buc-ee's. We'll I would always hear about HEB literally from everyone. It could be that HEB was the only place that sells post oak wood or sells a specific type of coffee or has this or that. I was remembering or at least misremembering my experience with HEB from my Katy, TX days and the HEB store called Rainbow or something like that was like ALDI and I not a fan. But one I let that go man oh man HEB is some kind of something. Great prices and really great items. Like some of the best of almost anything. Coffee, ice cream, seasonings you name it they have it and at least from my experience so far is really amazing. If only they were in Colorado

I miss HEB now that I'm in a small town that doesn't have one. They are THE best grocery store in Texas!

We love our HEB and so glad that we don't have to shop at Walmart. I have done a lot of curbside over the last year but have also still been going inside the store for things. The curbside runs so smooth and the inside is always clean and there are lots of employees around working the tail off and willing to help you if you have a question. Fresh produce and lots of choices for different items. I recently bought some Crazy Mineral Water and was told about this item by a friend. I didnt actually think it was called Crazy water but sure enough! Check out is quick and employees are nice and make conversation. Lots of parking although the lot is always full! Going during the week or evening is a good idea, weekends...not so much!

Hello Management...im just shocked to Walk in HEB as a Longtime customer, to see that you are re-organizing the ENTIRE store during Regular business hours...Customers are crawling around your hired Stockers to get Groceries...The store is NOT open 24 hrs so why not do this during the time you close! I'm mean really !! Customer already been patient during the remodeling.

We love H-E-B grocery stores. When we have traveled in Texas over the years, we discovered H-E-B to be EVERYWHERE we were along the way and usually at our destination. Clean, price conscious and always with beautiful produce, we shopped there on our trips. Later, when Central Market opened in Dallas, we were thrilled to find out it was a gourmet market subsidiary of H-E-B. Then, be still my beating heart, a H-E-B superstore opened in Waxahachie just south of us!! I had to pinch myself. Founded in 1905, H-E-B operates more than 358 stores, is the #1 food retailer in the Austin, San Antonio, Corpus Christi and Rio Grande Valley markets and the largest private company in Texas. The biggest and exotic fruits and vegetables may go to Central Market; but the same quality for eating purposes comes to this store, too. The difference you ask? The price. Fresh tortillas are made here. Sushi is made on site. There's a scratch bakery. They have Custom Meat Cutting, a Full Service Butcher Case, Grass Fed Beef, Organic Meat, and Prime Beef. They have Floral with Wedding service and an extensive wine and beer selection. Gourmet Cheeses flank the full service deli and ready to eat foods, fresh squeezed juices. There's an unbelievable Sausage and Standard meat selection in the refrigerated section with cuts for different needs. There are condiments, rice, pasta, soup, broth and canned vegetables of every description as well as their own modestly priced line of everything! There's a new online grocery ordering system with Curbside pickup now! There's a full service Pharmacy that also does compounding. Beauty supply. They have a full line of toys and small appliances including Latin cookware and dishware. Pet everything. I go for produce; but I can browse the aisles for an hour. There are Central Market labeled products all over the store, too, on the shelves and in the freezers. H-E-B is a big promoter of modestly priced yet wonderful Texas products. Whew! Let me catch my breath. I think I've come full circle. Helpful, concerned staff; especially at checkout make shopping here so pleasant. I do shop closer to home, too, because it is a bit of trek; but I come as often as I can.

It's my favorite grocery store in this town. They always have good deals and coupons. I enjoy grabbing sushi and they have sushi deals on Wednesday where some of The sushi price is marked down by a few dollars.

Out this way for a day from Dallas. My sister's and I decided to stop by and grab grocerys.. Some things we're higher in price than Dallas, but the variety is enormous.

Today was my wife and I first time going to H‑E‑B. First I wanna say we spent 300$ in the store as well. The overall experience was great. Staff was friendly everybody was helpful. We found everything we needed. I'm making this review because we purchased 3 packages of ground beef. I noticed that upon grabbing the last one we noticed it had a fly in it. Now I don't know who dropped the ball with this one but this is very disturbing. For many reasons of course because now I have to throw it away. Which means we spent money on it and can't eat it. Not to mention how it makes us feel about the other meats we purchased as well.

H‑E‑B is the best for people that need a electric cart to get around. When I go to the Waxahachie Store they see me pulling into a Handicap Spot. A store associate asks me if I need a electric cart. I tell yes... and I get one next to my car. Then when I'm done shopping another associate takes me to my car loads my purchases in my car and drives away in the cart. I live in Ferris Tx. It's a trip for me but I will come to H‑E‑B Waxahachie Forever!!!

With 4 kids being homeschooled during the pandemic H-E-B Curbside has been a lifesaver. The staff is aways friendly and I rarely have any significant substitutions. I love all the H-E-B brand products, especially the fresh, warm tortillas and house made chips and guacamole!

Bad first impression. Drove an hour and a half to do a curbside pick up for the first time shopping here. Got confirmation order was ready for pick up, but when I arrived an employee informed me that my items were out of stock. This was very frustrating considering the times we are in (gas is very high now) and I had to bring along two young kids. Will I ever shop here again? Not likely. Too far out of the way and it's nothing special.

I have been to many H EB stores in Dallas Fort Worth The wachohatchee location is very unsanitary if you have food allergies do not buy from the seafood dapartment the staff is repulsing

Love HEB. Wish there was one located closer to me in Grand Prairie. My review was too short so I'm adding this BS to make it long and boring.

The reason people are still getting sick is not everyone cares. I drive from Dallas and am thrilled to see see the "mask are required" signs and feel good about shopping here because everyone cares. Unfortunately management needs to be a bit stronger in enforcing this rule to keep all of us safe.

I've been shopping at H-E-B for the past month and I absolutely love it. Affordable & Fresh! I'm never going back to wholly-world. Amazing employees that are more than happy to help you find what you're in search of. I was looking for truffles to add in my mac n cheese dish the other night. 3 employees helped me search. After a few minutes of searching and a quick call to their produce manager, we learned that they didn't carry them. I was grateful for the search-party nonetheless. Not a single employee made me feel as though I was a bother. They make a lot of things in-house: tortillas, donuts, cakes/pies/cookies, fresh bread, sushi and many more items. Floral selection full of fresh picks. They also sale clothes & toys. Do not sleep on H-E-B. Check them out at least once!

I love HEB, they have the best produce, and lots of organic options. The service at this location is really great. They have a lot of items not found in other HEB stores so look around. And the curb side service is really great!!!

The store is ok but way too small for the number of shoppers in the area. If they don't expand soon I'll be wishing for a Kroger to open soon as this place is way to crazy busy . Not just busy in the store itself, but even the parking lot has become a major joke. Makes shopping a miserable experience over all!

Best grocery store ever! They always have coupons and deals on so many things! I always do my grocery shopping here. I refuse to go elsewhere unless I need something in bulk. Everything is always super fresh! They keep up with everything very well. It's always clean and neat.

It's HEB- if you haven't been before, you should. If you've been- what do I need to explain?

HEB is a very unique store with great items that most stores don't carry..for instance we just bought Whatabutrger jalapeño ranch in a bottle! The store is pretty big and if your have shiny object syndrome like me it's easy to get carried away and go look at all of the cute clothes and shoes they have conveniently placed in the middle of the store for all to see! They have a pretty large sushi selection and based off of the samples I've tried, it's pretty good too! We tend to drive all the way out to this location for a specific spicy sauce that's hard to find and meats for when we are having a big party (like memorial day weekend!)The fajita meat and ribs are pretty good quality and the prices are great for what you get! I think if we lived closer this would be a regular grocery stop for us!

I travel here all the way from Dallas, for one item specifically, Sontava Habanero Hot Sauce. I have heard rumors about this brand being found up North of the Metropolex, but EVERY WHERE I have looked it's been a No Dice. So here is the only place I know to find it, so I stalk up every time. I'm not a fan of Tabasco with its vinegar taste, and this stuff has none of that. They have XX & XXX kinds. Both have a nice kick. But anyway, I like the store itself. They do samples and have alot of fresh foods. Plus always seem to have some kind of good sales going on. Hope someday HEB will come to the Metropolex but until then, Waxahachie I'll go.

Love, love, love HEB. We're from San Antonio and really miss not having HEB close to our home. But, it was well worth the effort to go there from our home in Duncanville. We just moved from far north Arlington to Duncanville, so we're looking forward to going to HEB more often.

Forget this being very nice HEB because it's just a NICE grocery store regardless of the name and affiliation! The aisles are remarkably clean and fully stocked to the brim. They even have the ultra rare Kauai Coffee Company K-Cups that I am mainly restricted to purchasing online. An impressive thing about this store is the fresh nut, candy and powder section in between Dairy and Frozen Foods. Here, you can fill your own sealed bags of (for example) banana chips, custom trail mix, gummy worms and even protein powder. There's a new Redbox machine on the Beauty, Bath and Cosmetic side entrance side of the store. This store virtually has everything so visit if you find yourself in Waxahachie at any point.

I love HEB I drove all the way from Garland to Waxahachie just to do some grocery shopping. I lived in Houston for a couple years and when I moved to Dallas I was bummed that there was no HEB. I've been in Dallas almost 3 years now and just found out through my coworker that there's a HEB in Waxahachie. I was excited so I decided to give them a try. The customer service was great. I will be back soon.

Love this store and the location is only a mile away from home. I feel I get so much for the money and everyone who works there are always so nice!

Absolutely love this place. I don't live in Waxahachie but I definitely drive to get my groceries from there. I love the random deals they have. You'll go in for queso and walk out with free rotel and chips. And all I can say is... #blessed! Fun fact I used to work at HEB when I was in college and after I graduated i just fell in love.

Love this HEB! Sundays are family grocery days and always seem to be crowded no matter the time of day. The produce section is always fresh. The warm grab & go snacks are always stocked with quick bites to eat, or you can venture to the counter where you have more options. Meat counter seems to have a good selection of meats and seafood. Keep your eyes peeled for coupons hanging near certain items where you can get a few bucks off or take advantage of BOGO. If you catch HEB on a day where they are serving samples, well you are in luck. They are usually yummy foods and additional items always seem to find a way into my basket. The lines can definitely be a pain, as its hit or miss to whether they move quickly or not. Definitely is my pick to shop when another big chain is right next door.

I purchased a bottled water that was on sale, labeled, on the shelf, as 75 cents, and another bottle labeled .98. When I went to check out and was charged $1.99 and 2.99. When I inquired, they did a price check and told me they were not on sale. I went back to the shelf and an HEB associate was there removing the lower priced sale ticket. If they made a mistake, they should honor the error, then make their corrections. I am very disappointed with the way they handled this.

First time coming in and I was overwhelmed with all the different foods/drinks they have. I have found my new grocery store.

I love shopping at H-E-B, the customer service is always helpful and polite. Really enjoy the variety of organic produce, the more time goes by the more options and don't have to drive to Dallas

I want to give HEB all the stars! Great selection of everything! They have quality produce, decent prices, and great employees. This is the only place I go grocery shopping. When I lived in Dallas I would have to go to three stores to get all the things I needed. HEB makes grocery shopping enjoyable! I'm always finding something new to try.

So aggravated by constant brown salad!! This is the second time I've had a bad salad .

This is one of their "Plus" stores that carries food as well as clothing and housewares. There is a tortilla making area (the mitad y mitad are wonderful!) as well as a sushi and butcher section. The wine selection is amazing with a 10% discount offered if you purchase 6 bottles or more. The produce section offers house made guacamole (regular and spicy) as well as several packaged salads, veggie snacks, and fresh squeezed juices. The deli cuts meats and cheeses to order as well as stocking pre sliced options in the case. They also carry great rotisserie chickens, take n bake pizzas, as well as several snacks like olives and hummus. My one complaint is that HEB will place their store brand (Hill Country Faire) right at eye level on the shelf. If you want any other name brand you have to dig down at floor level or climb up high on the shelf.

H-E-B in Waxahachie is one of the best places to shop for variety and grapes specials their Bakery is the best out of all of the major stores in the area and at holiday times they always have great specials on all your holiday food needs! The only reason they did not get us 5 it is so difficult to find a parking place there because everyone must agree that they have the best variety and deals in down LOL

Love this place when I went to Houston ! So much variety ! People were very nice. They forgot to bag a few of my items and the drive is over an hour from me to go back just for that . :-( Only reason for the three stars.
