This place is an absolute treasure. The only UK branch of the famous American-Korean supermarket chain landed in Europe’s biggest Korean community for very good reason, and it’s a total game-changer.Massive store packed floor-to-ceiling with Korean groceries: fresh kimchi, banchan, gochujang in every grade, snacks you’ve only seen on K-dramas, huge frozen dumpling selection, Korean instant noodles by the dozen, fresh produce (perilla leaves, crown daisies, Korean pears, etc.)
Solid representation from Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines – basically one-stop Asian shopping
Beyond food: kitchenware (stone bowls, induction rice cookers), K-beauty, K-pop albums, magazines, even small electricals
It’s deliberately crammed (very Korean-supermarket energy), which can feel overwhelming at first, but the staff are incredibly helpful and will walk you straight to whatever obscure ingredient you’re hunting.Queues move fast (no self-checkouts, but plenty of staffed tills), the car park is free (gets busy on weekends), and the special-offer tables are dangerous – perfect for impulse buys and trying new things cheaply. Whether you’re Korean, Asian, or just food-curious, this is a must-visit destination. It genuinely feels like you’ve stepped into a big Seoul or Busan mart. Even if you live an hour away, make the pilgrimage at least once – you’ll leave with a full trolley and a very happy stomach. Worth every minute of the journey. Absolute gem!
