7/5/25: I came to H Mart with a purpose to see if they still fried those little hot crispy fried 6-inch long fishies with eggs in their belly that I used to buy and love to snack on a few years back. But no. They don't have those anymore. 😭 I like visiting H Mart everywhere I go because there is not a single H Mart in Florida yet. Highlights: 1. Super clean, perfect for clean freaks to grocery shop here. 2. Largest selection of assorted kim chi that takes up a long shelf on the wall 3. Only market I know that sells live abalone 4. Live geoducks (I never tasted that before) 5. Large selections of cooking gadgets made in Korea 6. Abundant fresh and seasonal produce and fruits 7. H-Mart is like a mini mall with at least a dozen other specialty shops.

Google
I love H Mart because of the variety they have of the foods I need. But most of all, it does not have a smell to it. Many of the exotic establishments I've been to has an odor to it, usually of fish. H Mart does not have that at all 👍👍 I've been to H Mart a few times and what brings me back is their ability to stock all the foods I need that I grew up with in the islands. 😊

Google
H-Mart, supposedly the gold standard of Asian supermarkets, is actually selling a shocking amount of moldy food. The expiration date says March 2026—was this just casually printed at random?😡

I buy only one catfish steak but charged me twice for 17.48. Please always check the receipt

I am a regular customer at HMart. Today I have shocking feelings at the store. The lady who was checking out my items was rude at me. I have purchased a lot of items, probably she was unpleasant at checking out these number of items. So she was keeping the items on the side of the belt, not putting on the bags. I told her, can you please put these items in the bag. She told me I am working, don't you see that? Then I put the items in the bags and in the cart. She could have told me that I am busy with checking items, I will put them in bags later on. Or she could have seek my help in putting items in the bags. I don't mind helping her because we all do work in our house or in the work place. The way she behaved is truly shocking to me.

Fantastic Asian grocery store! One of my favs around DFW. Always clean, tidy, and well stocked. Lots of Asian groceries you can’t find anywhere else. Their seafood section is awesome, the store never smells like fish, despite lots of it being nicely laid out. Nice produce and frozen sections as well. This is my “go to” store when shopping for Asian flavors.

Google
The quality of their fruits and veggies need to improve. They were selling jackfruits that were rotting inside and taro root that were mushy to touch. Overpriced items too. Only thing I liked here was their fish selection.

Google
I love this store. Produce is super fresh and often cheaper then other places. They have lots of deals on fish and meat. If you haven't been, definitely go try this store!!

Yelp
Maybe the largest Hmart I've been to, H Mart Plano is a very large Korean grocery store with a food court, large live seafood area, and prepared foods. It's the place to go for Asian groceries in the North Dallas metro area, and wasn't too crowded or rushed when we visited on a weekday afternoon. It's a big H Mart for sure, with almost 70,000 square feet of space. The very first one I remember going to was in Niles (near Chicago) at 50,000, and this one is bigger than that. There were plenty of items for sale, and quite a few items I had not seen before. We ended up buying things like Samanco fish-shaped ice cream sandwiches and frozen raw soy sauce marinated blue crab (would recommend skipping it). They also sold H Mart Texas reusable shopping bags for only $1.99, so those were bought as souvenirs.

Yelp
A very new experience, I saw things like fish cake that's used in Korean food, there's a particular soup I've been wanting to make that requires unique ingredients, and thankfully all can be purchased from H market. There's a lot of options when it comes to seafood, both live and frozen stock. Everything is organized neatly and the staff are eager to help. There's a small section dedicated for alcohol, I was surprised for not finding soju. Maybe I didn't look hard with, but there are quite a bit of options to choose from. As far as main ingredients such as soy sauce, rice vinegar and oils there's a lot of options to choose from. At first I had a hard time finding what I was lookin for, but then I found a section that all common brands were placed in (kikomon) and all of a sudden shopping became so much easier.

Yelp
Had a quick convenient meal here and it was great getting to try a few different items for a great value. Clean store with friendly staff and plenty of options for anymore.

Yelp
H Mart is totally a required visit whenever I am on this part of town! With authentic Korean treats and my favorite jar of kimchi, this place absolutely never disappoints. Everything in their produce section has always looked great to me. It's consistently fresh, well-organized, as well as stocked with top quality items. The staff's constant attentiveness guarantees everything runs without issue. I can't wait until the Fort Worth store on 820 is open!

Yelp
I am going to be honest it can be a tad hectic when going grocery shopping here. It's like a huge mall and grocery store all in one. The location is massive and if you don't like crowds get there early. The food court has yummy options that Americans like such as dumplings and noodles. Check their meat as well as their frozen foods selection, the frozen beef dumplings in the air fryer are an absolute chefs kiss. Pretty sure I ate the entire bag in less than a week. Loved the tea shop by the entrance/exit and need to explore more. There's so much to try here and indulge in different Asian foods. I have my eyes next on the marinated short ribs for the grill. Great prices and the seafood is always fresh.

Yelp
H Mart is always a good stop for your Asian groceries, high quality meat, and fresh seafood. I mostly drop by to compare prices with 99 Ranch/Jusgo in the area, or just mainly for their food court. If I'm feeling fancy, I'll grab some of their high quality BBQ meat to cook at home, or their fresh selection of sashimi. They're currently going through some remodeling because everything is much more organized now. The whole store looks clean and packed with new items, and they also renovated the food court area with new restaurants and better dining tables. I love the Oh K-Dog stand, but they have new places such as Don Chicken that's also pretty decent as well. I still don't like having to pay at the order stand though because I can't call in to order food ahead of time. Since they just remodeled the food court, everything is currently 20% off (until 5/31/23), which is a great deal considering how you can get dishes for under $10. I tried a 6 wings combo from Don Chicken and it was filling, not to mention being under $10!! ($11.99 regular price). I like the new boba shop inside too. Tea Valley has a very aesthetic backdrop for your Instagram photos, but also unique fruity drinks. I didn't find myself coming here often before the remodeling but with the new food court and the store being more organized, I find myself stopping by at least once a week!

Yelp
It's been several years since my last H Mart review, so time for an update. COVID inflation has definitely had its impact on H Mart, but for me it remains well worth the 17 mile (one way) drive from Dallas to score delicious veggie kimbaps, fresh exotic produce (I would come here just for the mushroom selection alone, excellent quality and value), fresh seafood and chicken, Asian condiments (soy sauce, rice vinegar, fish sauce, and sesame oil), and other odds and ends that catch my eye every visit. Dollar for dollar, the best grocery store for me in DFW metro for the best produce and meat selection and value around.

Yelp
We just moved to TX and I was worried I wouldn't find any Pilipino staples for me to make my Pinoy dishes. I had called and asked if they had any Pilipino food. The person on the line said no. I was disappointed, but I decided to go anyway. I roamed every aisle and I found EVERYTHING on my list plus more! Love all the fresh meats, seafood and produce. So many types of rice, noodles, seasonings and sauces. So my advise is to just go. The person on the phone may not know what you are talking about (hahahaa)!
google avatar

Monali D.

Yelp
Love this place! Apart from variety vegetables (so many chillies to choose from), fruits (rambutans are really good!). Asian sauces and noodles are so much better in this store compared to other stores. The H-mart has a food court which has all kinds of Asian food. We tried the tofu vegetable dumplings and they were so hot and delicious!
google avatar

LaLisuh C.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go when in the area! From groceries, the bakery to the food court it does not disappoint! I love grabbing tons of the ready to go food to take home! One of my favorite things to get ate the triangle shaped kimbap. They have a variety of them but my favorite flavor is the spicy crab! If I lived here I would be there for lunch everyday and so that's a good thing I don't, lol!
google avatar

Amanda L.

Yelp
I love H mart itself, they have very fresh foods and good deals on food. The food court itself is very mid in my opinion. The remodeling and the deal of 20% off is great but I honestly don't find myself coming here much after the deal expires. Food is okay, lots to choose from but it is a bit overwhelming. I will say that most of the stuff I've had here had been okay, very middle of the road. Don's chicken: got the spicy and it was SO SPICY and had like no flavor. Fries lacked salt. The noodle soup was fine but definitely not something I would buy again or recommend. You pay at one cash register at the far left and the respective restaurants will call your number. There's very minimal interactions. Honestly it is pretty clean inside though.

Yelp
H Mart is a great place to shop for Asian foods, though be prepared for the fishy smell when you first walk in--comes with the territory of having a fresh seafood section. They've got a fantastic selection of Asian foods and condiments, and their meat market is really solid with a good variety and fresh cuts. It's also one of those places where you end up finding more things to buy than you planned for, but that's not necessarily a bad thing! Overall, a reliable spot for stocking up on unique ingredients.

Yelp
If you want to be expensive then be guilty by association. So Gong Dong Tofu & BBQ Sad shrinkflation items are here. Enough said.

Yelp
Tang Korean Food - New restaurant. Great food, good customer service, & big portions!
google avatar

Em J.

Yelp
We ordered 2 hot stone bibimbap from 2 different stalls, and they were both equally good. The one from Tang had more side dishes, and I really enjoyed the soup. The one from So Go Dong, I felt the side dishes were less but tasted better, and it came with a fried egg. It looked more colorful, so it captured a lot of customers' attention (everyone asked what this dish is). You can choose a drink from their beverage section. They have a large variety, or they have a free water fountain. All stalls are ordered at one place (next to beverage section). There is a big Order sign, and all the menus are there. Food took a while to be ready, but that is because they were packed. Also, it was worth the wait. You can also do some shopping, get a hair cut, or play claw machines while you wait.

Yelp
This review is for Yobo Home, the tiny home store inside Hmart. This store absolutely deserves zero business and zero support from local communities. The middle-aged man running the shop is rude and knows nothing about customer service. If you want to compare the internal size of two rice cookers, he would rush up to you and request that you touch one item at a time. Who does this? Absolutely pathetic.
google avatar

Emily N.

Yelp
I love going to hmart for my asian grocery essentials however in this review, i will be focusing on the food court. Hmart food court deserves more attention! There are sooo many options from noodles, corndogs, sushi, dessert. I got black bean and seafood noodles from kyodong and they did not disappoint. I legit had a food baby after eating this because although i was full, i kept eating because it was so good. I think you all should support the food court so they never shut down!

Yelp
Went to the Plano location for the first time this past weekend got some more goodies to try, I like this location but it's smaller than the carrollton location so I did have a hard time finding some stuff that I've seen at the other location. However, this is still a great store with lots of great food options! We picked up some more ramen and frozen foods to try. So far everything we've tried we have loved. I would recommend this location over the carrollton just because it is smaller and for me easier to maneuver around. However the carrollton location has more stores and more food court options if that's something you want to explore more!
google avatar

Brandi C.

Yelp
It's quite interesting. For it being my first time to go, it was very overwhelming and seemed chaotic, but well worth it. We were able to find a bunch of goodies. I also love how you can grab some food to eat in the food court before you shop.
google avatar

Allen T.

Yelp
Very impressed by this new H mart. They already operate at a pretty high level among the Asian supermarkets, this one is no different. Clean and organized. It also has a few other stores inside, mainly bakery, drinks, and a food court. The food court has 20% off until May, so don't miss out.
google avatar

Roma B.

Yelp
Love the variety of food stalls at this H mart. Got the Korean soup noodles at one of the new stalls that just opened and a mozzarella potato dog at Oh K-Dog. The broth was light, but a bit fishy tasting. LOVED the mozzarella potato dog, the cheese was fresh and stringy, the potatoes on the outside were the right amount of crispiness. Excited to get it again.

Yelp
Amazing store, providing an expansive selection of foods for an affordable price in Carrollton
google avatar

Tae Kyung Y.

Yelp
Plano is pretty far from where I live so I was hesitant to ever visit this Hmart (though I do love my Hmarts), but my mom was in town so we decided to make the visit to Plano to come to this Hmart! This Hmart was definitely smaller than the Carrollton location, but it was also way less populated. In terms of size, it's not that smaller than Carrollton but you'll still be able to find everything you need. I think this Hmart was definitely like a TJ Maxx or Ross before and you'll be able to know what I mean once you park at the plaza. They have a food court, but the tenants were mostly empty, so I'm thinking this hmart is not doing too hot and I hope it does pick up because I know that there are a lot of people living in Plano. They also have a Toreore that's actually not in the food court but towards the produce section, which I thought was a little interesting but chicken prices were CHEAP. I'm not really ever in the Plano area, but this Hmart was pretty satisfactory and if I need to get groceries and am in the Plano area, I'll definitely check this place out!

Yelp
I'm very disappointed, just bought this yesterday June 5th 2024 also bought some clams haft of them dead my house smell like skunk .

Yelp
Moved here from Chicago and was really glad that there is an H-Mart nearby! We went to the Plano location for the first time this past weekend and got some fresh produce, and Korean goodies to try. There is also a handful of Japanese/Chinese items in the store as well. The store was very clean, and definitely bigger than the one I am used to in the city of Chicago. I love that there is a Tous Les Jours, a boba tea place, and a food court inside the store.
google avatar

A K.

Yelp
CONTAMINATED FOOD! Bought a sashimi set for dinner and started to eat it only to find it infested with BUGS! Killed one on the lid thinking it was an isolated incident. As I ate the sashimi I found more bugs crawling out of the garnish and one that died in between the tuna slices. Absolutely disgusting!
google avatar

Nikki S.

Yelp
I love this Asian (Korean) Market. They offer a huge selection at very reasonable prices. The entire place is clean and the food court is fantastic! If you ever go to their food court, try the Korean Egg Toast Sandwich. Don't knock the name. The sandwich will seduce you.
google avatar

Harumi P.

Yelp
Really nice place lots of yummy food for their grocery store and for their cafeteria. They have a bread place and a boba yogurt place too.
google avatar

Marianne C.

Yelp
H-Matt is still the cleanest asian store in my book even though they don't have most of my Filipino munchies needs. They specialized more on Korean products. Fresh produce, a whole fridge just for kimchi, a sake shelf and meals to-go. This is where I always meet my instant ramen and bibimbop ingredients. They also have a food court but never really spend time there to check what food they offer. It's my goal to try alt least one or two stalls when we're over with this stupid pandemic.
google avatar

Helen N.

Yelp
HMart is a good supermarket with variety of things. I've shop here plenty of times but seems like every time I buy this one item 5/10 times it's bad. I came today to pick up some fried tofu to use for dinner tonight. I did check while I was at the store but I guess I wasn't able to see clearly from the bright light in the tofu section. After coming home and ready to cook, I noticed a grayish spot on one of the tofu. Upon closer inspection I notice mold spores were forming on the tofu. I wish they do a closer check on these perishable items because it's bad to be selling moldy food. Especially if the elderly buys them and don't know.
google avatar

Lisa S.

Yelp
Never had heard of HMart but a friend visiting from out of town made it a must on her list. First and foremost before you go shopping visit the food court and grab a meal!! Otherwise, you'll spend double because it's so overwhelming . Two aisles of soy sauce, two!! Mochi City and there is a bakery on premise too. So much fun. Can't wait to go back again.
google avatar

Sean H.

Yelp
I went to visit the H-Mart Food Court as it was right down the street from where I was staying on my trip. I got to taste the great broth that paired well with the bean sprouts, ramen noodles, and kimchi. It also came with a side dish as well! It did not take long for my order to be made.
google avatar

Bryan M.

Yelp
This is my first time coming to the Hmart food court since they remodeled and my experience here was amazing. I got a Korean Potato Mozza-dog that was good. The only thing was that the sticks were not able to support it so I had to eat it with a spoon. Their Mustard Cheese sauce added the perfect balance of rich and savory taste to the sweetness of the mozzarella and sugar coating. I also got the Tuna, Kimchi and Cheese Fried Rice. This has got to be one of the best fried rice dishes I've had in a while. The tuna wasn't overpowering and the cheese tied in well with the whole dish. Overall, I would order this dish again and again.
google avatar

Temina C.

Yelp
I seriously love this store. The variety of fresh produce is my favorite aspect of this store. Also the fresh and live fish is a delight . Not only that, the prices are great and customer service is on point. I love Korean food so I try to come here during lunch time so I can get the pre-made meals which I really enjoy. There is plenty of parking if you come and it's family friendly. There is a food court and a bakery inside the store. For baked goods, definitely come in the morning the baked goods are fresh.
google avatar

Zachary K.

Yelp
The quality of the produce here is outstanding. They have a lot of specialty items and a food court. You can get the sweetest pineapples here. There's a lot of people working to help you find things. The atmosphere is pleasant even though it's extremely busy.
google avatar

Amanda S.

Yelp
I love H-mart. It's truly differentiated in so many ways VS other Asian markets around town. Today, what stood out was its selection of take-home rolls and sashimi. I drove to one other Japanese supermarket before coming to H-mart looking for a late lunch of sashimi/rolls and wasn't able to find a wide selection at the other supermarket. However, at H-mart, there was the regular Korean sushi rolls by the front entrance but if you go all the way by the fish area, you will find a delicious and wide selection of sashimi, fish roes and a large variety of both cooked and raw sushi rolls. You saved the today, today H-mart, thank you!

Yelp
HIMart is paintings of men. This is not that. Thankfully. One of the top grocery stores in the Dallas area for international goods - especially East Asian stuff. A Korean chain supermarket that caters to all types of East Asian cooking and international groceries in general. In a plaza with one of the best Sichuan restaurants - Sichuan Folk - so you can get your groceries and get an amazing meal in one Fell Swoop without even leaving leaving the plaza. In fact you can walk from one to the other very easily. *** I accidentally wrote 2 reviews for this - here is the other. If they welcomed you at the door (they don't) it'd be Hello Mart. If they sold slutty shoes for my porn girl (who is literally a porn girl) they'd be Heel Mart. If they sold devil accessories for my sinful girl (who is literally the devil) then they'd be Hell Mart. I first came across H Marts in Queens (NYC), where they are primarily Korean and absolutely incredible. The one up there in Flushing with Namudol inside, is my idea of Korean paradise. Well, the one right here in the extensive Chinatown region of DFW, is awesome too. Really excellent H Mart location in Plano which has a little bit of everything in the International Grocery Store department, and it's part of a massive and really great Plaza with some cool places like Sichuan Folk - which is one of the best restaurants in town just next door. H a nice day.
google avatar

Mitchell G.

Yelp
Try. All. The. Pickled. Things. It's really that simple. This store has an amazing selection of pickled veggies and unique side dishes that you can add to lunches or dinners. I manage to try something new every visit and that alone is worth making this a habitual visit.
google avatar

Yelp
One of my favorite item to buy at H mart is LA galbi. It's been called LA galbi because this is from LA Koreatown by Korean immigrants. It differs in shapes from Korean traditional which is thick cut to cook braised beef rib, or beef bbq. It's thinly cut to cook and bbq easily, wash them throughly, marinated in the sauce for a day, mixture of soy sauce, honey, cooking wine, and chopped garlic. Easy. And cook them in the Tepal frying pan on the table with portable burner, family and friends gathering around the table. It's has been people make relaxing and satisfying after the lousy job as a plumber, a painter, a food server, a mechanic on those days. They sitting around the table on weekends with friends and family and this day has been called the best day of their lives. When I came to the US 20 years ago, the price was reasonable but now very steep and in this pandemic, the price is the highest( yesterday it was $13/lb). But I couldn't stop buying because this is definitely the best.

Yelp
We are huge fans of Hmart. When we lived in CA, there was only one store that was an hour away from us. Yes, you heard me right, I would make that trip just to get some fresh produce and meat cuts that you can't get anywhere else! This Hmart is not as impressive as the one in Austin (they have a giant food court with live music bar! So fun) but I like this one too. They are always well stocked and I love their great selection on banchan (side dishes), fresh produce and meat. This location is definitely less cramped, crowded and more cleaner compare to the store in Carrolton. I definitely like to come here if I need things to cook Korean food and my kids like to tag along as they can spend a very long time on their snack isle. They have so many choices (not only one of the best Korean snacks but also European) It saves me a trip to World Cost Market as I get everything here. The ladies at the cashier register are so cute and nice. They speak English well enough to communicate if you need anything but if they know you speak Korean, they will carry fun little conversation while scanning your goods. They are so nice and friendly (unlike some other Asian grocery chain stores). Yes, we love Hmart!
google avatar

Aditya S.

Yelp
Good selection of fresh fish. The grocery section has a good selection of Asian and general items. The veggies section could be better though - some items were packaged and a little expensive instead of being sold loose at a lower rate.
google avatar

Yelp
06/07/21- Monday Lots of selections! Pretty much, it's like our version of Seafood City!
google avatar

Yelp
Everything my Korean heart desires is here and having a yummy food court & Tous Les Jours of course doesn't hurt! The store is always kept clean, the aisles are wide enough, the produce is fresh, and the selection of available products are great. All the workers are very friendly & helpful.
google avatar

CJ L.

Yelp
H Mart has the best assortment of kimchi I have seen outside of Korea. Looking at the ingredients of many food options, they use good clean ingredients. They also have a diverse selection of gadgets and cookware.

Yelp
This grocery store caught me off guard! This has got to be the first Asian market I have entered, that was surprisingly clean, and packed full of wonderful fresh produce. Wow! I have a fairly extensive palate and eat foods which my husband considers down right gross. Kimchi is one of them. I have to make sure when I eat it, I don't open it in the house, otherwise the house will reek for hours. This store has a large selection of varies varieties of kimchi. Impressive! I was fascinated by the large selection of fresh fish. It never had a fishy smell, which I usually notice at other markets. The fish's really fresh, no fishy odor, the scales are bright and metallic, and the gills are clean and red. Can't get any fresher then that unless you pull it from your own line! I noticed that there is a food court here. I was not aware of this, otherwise I would have eaten here. Always tomorrow! They have a bakery shop within H-Mart that sells delicious pastries. They also have varies cakes that are beautiful and look quite yummy. You do have to pay for your pastry items before you can continue to shop the rest of the store. The name of this shop is Tous les Jours. I thought the bread was really good. They accept credit cards too. 2017/90

Yelp
I highly recommend sogongdong tofu in food court. The tofu soup and galbi were very delicious. Definitely, I'll visit again.

Yelp
Great selection. Kpop music playing inside, even songs that kpop fans might not have heard of. Nice staff. Clean. Has also a tous les jours if you want some pastries. It makes you wish there was an H-mart in your hometown if you are not from a big city.

Yelp
Thought this was an awesome unique experience. Was able to pickup some of my favorite fruits this weekend... Left to right... Longan, Rambutan and Lychee. All somewhat similar in that they have a white fleshy meat. The Longan is my second favorite as they are very easy to peel and pop in your mouth. I taste a hint of Concord grape in these. The Rambutan is the largest of the three and has a thicker skin that is difficult to peel. The meat is not as tender and has a little citrus taste with a hint of vanilla. Lychee are my favorite by far as the meat is very tender and sweet. Their thin shell makes them rather easy to peel. Seem to be able to find Longan and Rambutan throughout the year with Lychee in the summer. Anyway, Hmart is a really interesting experience.

Yelp
Very unprofessional and rude staff. Hours were not as stated on website and door. Much better quality food and people elsewhere and nearby.
