"Grocery store chain H Mart, which has a few Philly-area locations, packs a lot in. In addition to the Korean staples, it offers many other Asian foods and goods and has a food court for eating onsite." - George Banks-Weston

Google
Good place for Asian grocery shopping! Some items are overpriced compared to to other Asian stores in the city. Overall, good quality!

Google
Great store. If you are looking for anything Asian, this is definitely the place to go. The store is clean, bright, welcoming and the staff is helpful and cheery. I stopped in for some specific items, but had to shop around and check out all they had to offer. As you enter, lots of fresh vegetables and fruits. They have a seafood section with some frozen options, but also tons of fresh seafood on ice. Next you can find the butcher area with lots of meat options and a variety of cuts. There is a large frozen section with lots of frozen food options encompassing different ethnicities. Lastly, there is even a grocery area where you can find regular everyday grocery items like cereals, snacks, cleaning supplies, and more. The only negative to this location is the parking. Tough to get a spot out front, but I think there is a lot around the corner. A secret positive is the upstairs area. After you leave H Mart, you should go upstairs for the tea drinks, food court area, and Paris baguette. The area is small, but there are some nice options.

i have bought LYCHEE form h mart but put wrong price on lychee ..scam and so unprofissional check before you buy anything ....

Google
This H Mart is very well stocked with fresh produce and fresh seafood. The downstairs of the building is the grocery and upstairs is the food court, housewares, and pharmacy. The upstairs stores, including the food court, close earlier, at least 30 min, before the grocery store does. They have paid parking. You can pay with quarters or a parking app (either Passport Parking or Way app). As a warning, if you are used to nicer looking H Marts, this is not one of them.

Google
H Mart is a place to try new things. This visit was for grabbing a few staples. I bought some frozen Korean hot dogs on a stick I also bought a peach jam ice cream dessert. They have a great selection of teas.

Google
Location is very good , clean , well maintained , well stocked Korean /Asian store. We occasionally come here for fresh seafood. But the last trip was little disappointing , fresh seafood section was closed for renovation and only fresh seafood items you can get is shell food like lobster , crabs , shrimp/prawn. Fish section is frozen only and hope they open soon . Produce selection is good , few items are priced higher then normal market rate like onions etc but few items are cheaper to get here. Staffs are very active on replenishing the aisles. Moderate sized store with few kitchen utensils etc., parking might be tough if you are going here on peak hours , only roadside parking. I never had problem in getting parking due to hour of my visits. Staffs here are friendly and accommodative. I will come here later once it is ready to serve the fresh seafood section.

Google
Purchased what was supposed to be red snapper it was substituted with a fish that the meat texture was unidentifiable some sort of, if I had to guess swai. Second it didn’t have any bones! No such thing as boneless red snapper. I’ve had red snapper on several occasions and wanted to share the experience with my elderly father who’s never tried it, what a terrible misleading thing to do to what may have become a good and loyal customer. Shame. I don’t recommend this establishment for its dishonesty. Oh and I may have recognized the deception but my son picked up the order for me.

Google
Tomo Sushi in the food court is the best. Their bento boxes are soooooo worth it and the sushi is so fresh!

Yelp
Great food, great supermarket in the first floor. Definitely would recommend been here several times I forget what the name of the meals are... but I like trying different things -all good

Yelp
I've definitely been to better H-Mart than this one. This Upper Darby one is not the most convenient one to go: 1) first it's hard to find free parking. We ended up paying $2 for 2-hour parking; 2) the layout of this one is less convenient--food court is on the upper level. One way in and one way out. The aisles are more cramped than other H-Mart. It feels less clean and tidy too. Yet, the food price at the food court is very reasonable. I would probably drive to the one in Elkins Park next time.

Yelp
I absolutely love Hmart and I remember when it opened in this location. I used to live in Upper Darby and with an Asian mother, I frequented H Mart very often (and I would always get Anh Hong pho as a treat afterward). Now that I've moved into the city, I don't go as often as I'd like but whenever I'm craving a taste of my childhood I always go to Hmart and they'll have what I'm looking for. I headed there today looking for items to make onigiri but I wasn't sure if they'd have it all but of course they did and then some! If you're looking to try out some Asian treats, fruits, or food in general - this is the place to go! Don't forget they also have a food court upstairs which has AMAZING food!

Sarah A.

Yelp
Wanted to try the HMart in Upper Darby after such positive experiences at the HMart in Philadelphia. As always, we first visited the food court for lunch (up an escalator), which was smaller than that in Philadelphia, but everything we ordered was terrific: Dol Sot Bibimbap from Jian Korean Cuisine remained piping hot throughout my meal and Omelet Rice from Mongshil Tongtong was tasty, too. There was also another Korean offering, a sushi spot (seemed to be closed), two bubble tea/boba spots, and some other non-food offerings (e.g., CPA, hair salon). The grocery store portion was much smaller than that in Philadelphia, but had the basics. One additional note, the parking out front is metered with meters that accept quarters. Although they say you can use an app, it did not seem to be working for us or for fellow parkers we consulted at the time. I saw a sign at the register when checking out that there's a parking lot, but it was not obvious to us when we pulled up.

Marissa Y.

Yelp
I really liked this place. The food court upstairs is great from bubble tea, desserts, sushi, to traditional Korean foods. Upstairs also has a store where you can purchase items like utensils, tea pots, kimchi jars, pots/pans, comforters, and the like, even adorable Hello Kitty toilet paper! Downstairs they have mostly Korean items but I've also seen Mexican and Japanese products, as well as items from the US and other parts of the world. I've found some really cool items here, especially for my plant based diet. I also have to give 4/5 stars instead of 5/5 because I saw ingredient labels that had a lot of chemicals in it. I was conscience of what I was putting in my cart but overall, it was an amazing experience there. When I arrived home, I made about 20 Inari and spent the rest of the day eating all of them!

Chris S.

Yelp
I come here once in awhile with my classmates when we long for the taste of home in Asian cuisines. Some of the photos on yelp are misleading because they were not taken at the location. The space is a little crowded and some of the shelving can feel disorganized, but we find everything we need usually at the end of the day. All the staff members are very friendly and try their best to help. There's usually always some deals going and they encourage you to take advantage of ones you might miss. Like others have said, I've been to several other HMarts and this probably ranks among the lowest among all of them, but it means everything when there's almost no where else to get what it offers nearby.

Yelp
Every time I come to this HMart, I'm reminded why I shouldn't drive here. I went during the week mid-afternoon and five cars were waiting behind one double parked car blocking the narrow street. I wound up using the tiny metered lot across from HMart. This is a hybrid store, as many reviews note. Upstairs you can find a small food court, a bank, and cookware. Take the escalator. On prior trips, I bought fresh buns, dumplings and Chinese food. Downstairs is the main store. If you go early enough, you'll find store made maki and other dishes, near the produce section. Frozen: A decent variety of frozen dumplings, not as big a selection as in NJ, but good considering the store size. I found my favorite Kimchi dumplings on sale plus some octopus dumplings, and beef and veggie dumplings. Turkey Hill ice cream and mochi, too! Sauces: I had some chili paste at home but got extra sauce. They have lots of Lao Gan Ma (old godmother) sauce. Which is insanely spicy and why I use Mangda chili paste or the two others I just bought. If you're looking for Huy Fong Sriracha, get it here instead of a non-Asian supermarket. It's typically cheaper. Refrigerated foods: They didn't have turnip cake, which I'll have to ask for, but do have a large Hispanic refrigerated food section including chorizo and cotija cheese. Lots of tofu near the produce section. Parking: Hit or miss, see the circus described above. Public Transportation: SEPTA 101/102 trolleys stop nearby one stop before 69th Street Terminal. An easy walk. Covid-19 precautions: Masks required for entry. It's a byzantine layout so I don't think social distancing is realistic. The store does make an effort once you get to checkout. That was relatively quick.

Yelp
We did shopping here today for veggies, fruits and noodles. They carry our favorite rice as well Organic Haiga Mai. H-Mart is the best place to try something new, they carry a large variety of fruits and vegetables, grocery items, fish and meats, many soy based products. You can find many international products and ready made frozen foods. I often ask another customer what they are buying and how to prepare the item. My latest new discovery is sweet potato tops. The leaves and stems are delicious.

Yelp
This H Mart is in a very congested part of Upper Darby, and parking is at a premium. Still, if Asian groceries are your game this is one of the best places to play, short of going down to Chinatown or Washington Avenue to load up. Our goal was the purchase of a variety of excellent noodles to allow us to prepare our home version of Dan Dan Mien, a regular dish in our kitchen. H Mart has an aisle full of all kinds of them, thick to thin and made from all types of veggie flour. We scored both Japanese Style Alimentary Paste Udon and Somen long noodles, made in Japan with "unbreached" wheat flour. Distributed by Daiei Trading Co., Inc. of College Point, N.Y. We walked around a few minutes to see if there was anything else we needed, but the store really isn't conducive to easy cruising down the aisles, with some product boxes piled up, shopping carts and two way traffic with bad drivers. So, we cashed out and returned to the car. Once there we only had to wait 10 minutes for the street to clear enough for us to back out from our parking spot and get back on our way.

Yelp
[859] 1/5/2019 Hmart I stopped into this market due to a friend's recommendation. Parking is tough out in front of the building, but I was able to find a metered space across the street. This market is different but in a good way. I was able to find all sorts of veggies and fruits. The fresh seafood section was awesome as I was able to purchase live crabs and all types of shrimp. Picked up some prepared sushi and it was good that I'll definitely can stop in for just this item. There are tons of other Korean type foods that are available. Most I haven't heard/seen before but the items are popular. I can tell by the large fresh packaging. They also have a few small grocery aisles. There is an upstairs but I have not visited that portion yet. The store is packed as I visited on a Saturday afternoon. The only reason this place was not 4 stars was because the store is tight so it was hard to move around. I had to leave my cart an aisle over while I shopped. Only a few cashiers but the line moved quickly. I'll definitely be back.

Valentin K.

Yelp
I was overcharged and denied a credit. Manager was incompetent and mean. Keep an eye on prices posted and cashier negligence as this happened to me few times.

Felicia H.

Yelp
OMG I love this market so much. Even though they only take cash or cards it's a great place to shop. I mostly shop at H Mart for there fresh seafood, fresh sushi, marinated beef & pork, kimchi, noodles, sesame oil, etc. The service is the best. There is always someone around to help you find something that you need. They also have employees that offer samples of food items that are on sale. The place is always clean & fresh even the mini food court upstairs. The bathrooms are cleaned every hr on the hr. H Mart employees make you feel so welcomed there. Even when it's your first time shopping there. I would say that if you are a newbie be careful because you would want to buy a lil bit of everything there. I know I did my first time shopping there. I think I spent over $300 in there. My family & I love to make hot pot & other Asian cuisine. I would strongly recommend this market to everyone to take time to visit, shop, & visit the mini food court as well. It will be one of the best experiences you ever had. GO, ENJOY & EXPERIENCE SOMETHING NEW @ H MART

Mia W.

Yelp
I loved the food court upstairs. We had Boba and sushi up there. It tasted amazing. I'll definitely want to have it again. We shopped there once or twice downstairs.

Justine J.

Yelp
The employees here are so rude. So rude to the point where when she finished scanning, I was so fed up with her behavior I just left the merchandise without paying. Strike one was when I was standing in line (i was supposed to be next) with boxes of bubble tea ice cream bars. The cashier let someone else cut the line. Strike two was yelling at my boyfriend to not put the basket on the conveyor belt. Whole Foods has no issue with this. You can nicely tell what you want people to do. Strike three was aggressively pushing the basket on the belt multiples times, vs having the basket stop at the sensor so you can scan. Strikes two and three were on same day. My boyfriend and I paid separately so we had different cashier people. So I guess the employees here overall need to do some customer service training because we're not coming back to this location.

Yelp
HMart is a destination for hard to find spices, sauces and more: while it is a fun experience at the same time. The kids enjoy looking at the unfamiliar brands of cookies and candies and even the produce. I've had little interaction with staff outside of checkout but always felt like I could get help if needed. After shopping, wander to the upstairs mini food court and enjoy some Korean food!

Hannah W.

Yelp
I love Hmart! For me, it's worth the 1.5 hour drive. My home town has Asian Markets, but nothing close to what I can find at Hmart. I could spend at least an hour walking around looking at all the different varieties of foods. Today there were quite a few ladies cooking up samples and lots of specials. I definitely try to stock up due to the distance. Don't forget to go upstairs and eat in the "food court." Plenty of choices and great food!

Jenaya P.

Yelp
Shopping at H-mart was a wonderful learning experience. It was my first time in the store and I was so excited to explore the Asian food items. H-mart is a kinda medium-sized supermarket it has two levels, the bottom is pretty much the market side and the top level, I believe is the food court. I didn't manage to go to the upper level. H-mart has items such as Asian snacks, convenience items such as packaged noodles, produce, meats basically everything that you would find at any market just with a Asian twist. Last week I wanted to make korean bb.q chicken so I was looking for a authentic korean sauce to compliment my chicken. A lovely store associate helped me find the perfect sauce that I was looking for and it was delicious. Overall I will definitely visit H-mart again to explore the top level! Oh and prices are affordable and reasonable.

Leah M.

Yelp
Although this grocery store is marketed as an Asian market it caters to various cultures in the Delaware county community. In this market you will find things specifically for Koreans, Chinese etc. but there are also items that are specific to a Latinos and Africans. Here you will find uncommon vegetables, fruit, marinated meat and fish items. One of the best things about this market is, it's one of the few places where you are able to find fresh fish . If you have a religious restrictions when it comes to eating meat on a particular day or after a certain time of day this is the place for you. HMart has all types of fresh fish, seafood and they will cut it and clean it according to your specifications. This market may be small but it is packed full of gems that you'll love to try for the heck of it. The market is rather inexpensive except for when it comes to shopping for meat or poultry. Much of the meat and poultry items are frozen as they are items that are not commonly sold such as chicken feet, rabbit, goose, duck etc. Here you will find Ramen noodles from various countries, flavors and prices. Finally they are not the most welcoming or friendly service oriented market however this could be due to any possible language barriers. The do hire non Asian workers. Take $20-25 to shop just for kicks and giggles if for nothing else.

Julie K.

Yelp
I've been to so many H marts in other states like NJ, PA and GA. I was so muh disappointed with this location. Vegetables and fruits were not fresh at all. They have fresh seafood section though. There are only few items on sale comparing to other locations. The parking lot is limited but you can park in municipal parking lot across from the store. This is very inconvenient as you should carry all bags to your car. I'd rather drive a little further to visit other locations nearby.

Marie T.

Yelp
I go to many different Hmart locations and wanted to stop by this location near Philadelphia. It was a Saturday evening and I parked my car across the railroad tracks. When I entered and noticed the vegetable section, I quickly realized that it is smaller than the vegetable sections I had seen at other Hmart. This location is in a building and smaller in overall size than other locations anyway so it's what you get in a area like this. The disappointing thing is that the vegetable looked like leftovers. Maybe I should have not come here on a Saturday evening. I'm a fan of Hmart'a fresh vegetable offerings so i may simply had no luck here. After buying few things, I went up to the second floor to check the food court. There was a good variety of foods there.

Nancy M.

Yelp
My most favorite place to shop! Good restaurants on the second floor! Boba ice teas are superb! Great kitchen wears! New items all the time! Large assortment of different flavored Kit-Kat bars! Great seafood! The cleanest big supermarket chain store I ever seen! Smells great in here! A/C is very excellent indeed! Wonderful bathrooms! Very prepped as usual besides it being regulated for Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic! AAAAAAA++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++!!!

Amy Z.

Yelp
The food court is located upstairs. There are Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Vietnamese boba and something else. We had the bim-bim bop hot and cold at the Korean place Jian Korean Cuisine and it was the best.

Marissa G.

Yelp
I always love my experience at HMart. The Upper Darby location has so much to offer -- great produce, frozen, spices, and snack selections! The very top floor also has a small food court. It's very affordable and has everything you need that is not usually carried at smaller Asian markets. It's difficult for me to find fresh lychee anywhere else in my area, but hmart usually has some! Would recommend!

Denise O.

Yelp
RUDE employees, in general ALL H Mart locations!! Needed A quarter for parking meter, register REFUSED to exchange coins!! And she even forgot to rang the other half of my cart!, make me think she did this on purpose! She handed me ONE bag and didn't ring the rest where y NO ONE behind me! Being busy with pushing my extremely heavy cart (2 HUGE BAG OF 50lbs rice) out the slope exit plus trying to get out as fast as I can due to PANDEMIC I had no chance to check until home, which is 55 minutes away!! Unfortunately I will have to go there again BUT will limit to only necessary items, I'll take my other items somewhere else! Edit to add; Did wrote to customer service got the SAME cut and paste reply! Why bother? Tsk

Chloe M.

Yelp
The food court upstairs has a great variety of vendors, and the marketplace downstairs is stocked with great stuff. I particularly shop for Japanese and Korean ingredients. Customer service is ok.

Cat C.

Yelp
This is the closest Asian market to me so unfortunately I will still have to come for my special needs. Thankfully its rare since I can always go to Chinatown instead. I came here and vegetable selections are scarce and overpriced and very wilted or rotten. Now I bought I Hong Kong pastry, which shame on me for doing that. It was not fresh but my cravings got the best of me. But my poor review isn't about the poor produce, moldy products or overly overpriced meats that are really beautifully displayed. My main issue was with the cashier. Her name is Patricia. And if you question her, she will know who you are talking about. First off, she was her phone. I didnt need her to bag since I had my own reusable bags. Now Haio premium ginger honey/citron honey tea 2.2 lbs was on sale for this week for 6.49. Regular price 7.99. It rung up for 7.99. I tried to show Patricia my phone circular which she refused...she showed me an OLD ad from last week telling me its not on sale. She pulls the newest and I even told her where it is on the ad. She said its not the same product. I made sure I checked on the shelf with the sale tag and made sure the product is correct. She just stares at me. No price checking or calling for help or supervisor as we stood there for a minute. Then she asked if I wanted it. What in the world is wrong with this picture?!?! There was no one at customer service for me to speak to and it is meter parking, I really didn't have time for this. Wrong is wrong...and I am still very upset about this. As I left she goes happily talking on her cell. Wow, she had ONE job and she messed it up.

Dee M.

Yelp
Hmart isn't just a grocery store. It's a mega adventure. It's multi-leveled and huge. They advertise it as Korean Grocery in America and yes it is that but every other Asian culture is represented equally well. Also, in this location African and Latino cultures are well represented in food stuffs. The produce section has all the staples but also some fruits and veggies you won't commonly see. Their meats section is huge and varied as is the seafood section. Live blue claw crabs in nearly December? Yes! Their food and beverage prices are wonderful. Imagine organic coconut oil prices elsewhere for $7. Here you will find the same jar for $5. Their cleaning products also simply cannot be beat. Not even close. There is prepared food upstairs that I hear is good. The only negative and it's worth a star deduction is that fact that 10 months a year it's absolutely freezing in H-Mart. The cashiers most times have coats and cutout gloves on. Don't let that stop you. Button up and embark on a grocery adventure!

Megan Y.

Yelp
HMart is such a wonderfully weird grocery store experience. Produce is 5 star. Fish is awesome. Meat and Grocery is 4. They stock a ton of products you won't find anywhere else. They have complimentary plastic gloves during Coronavirus. It's a very strange layout and parking can be a challenge depending on when you go. The focus is definitely food and household items are more limited than I find in other grocery stores.

Helen L.

Yelp
Coming from California this h mart is a condensed version of what I'm used to. Has all the necessities and I'm eh about the food court. It's clean and well stocked. The prices were not overpriced except maybe the meat. About parking, which I totally wasn't prepared for I just went to the residential area a block or so over and parked there. Seems like there's parking near the walnut st train station. I went in the morning on a Saturday and there was no problem looking for parking that was free. Apparently the parking lot nearby validates for 2 hours when you purchase something at h mart.

L D.

Yelp
Rotten bags of mussels, wilted vegetable, and moldy strawberries; that is what you can chance upon when you shop at this HMart. It is this Upper Darby HMart that repeatedly sells such items instead of disposing of them properly. We like HMart in general but this Upper Darby HMart is absolutely unacceptable. The most egregious part is they tend to put what they should throw out on sale.

Aelita P.

Yelp
This review is mostly for the food court upstairs. I much prefer the York Road Hmart location for all things EXCEPT for the food court. And even more specifically, I'm going to talk about the mushroom dolsot bibimbap which is vegan and so so delicious. Whenever I get Korean food, I've basically already come to terms with the fact that I'll be getting the bibimbap w/o the egg and w/o the meat. Sometimes they replace those things with tofu, but often not. The food court at this location is awesome because they already have a naturally vegan option, without having to take out anything or do substitutions. They use at least three or four different types of mushrooms, and the rice is SO CRISPY! (I'd just about given up on ordering dolsot bibimbap because the rice is never crispy, and usually they charge you extra - which they don't do here - another plus!) The downstairs is fine, I just wish they had more prepared dishes to buy. Like (vegan) japchea!

Shay S.

Yelp
This is the worst H Mart that I've ever been too, I visit this location a few time a month because it is a one stop shop for all of the ingredients that I need. But every time I visit this location I am treated poorly, the staff or security guard always follows me around and treats me as though I'm stealing something. The last straw was when I visited yesterday I went up stairs to purchase some kitchen accessories and one of the staff members was upstairs alone next thing I know I see two ladies standing behind me watching my every move. I knew they were store associates because I've seen them before, I took a photo of the ladies and told them that I was going to report them, after I said that they went to the other side of the store. Then when I went down stairs to continue my shopping I saw them again and when they noticed that I was looking at them they walked away. I spend over $100 every time I visit this store and should not have to deal with being treated so disrespectfully.

Jo L.

Yelp
The food court upstairs is the main reason I come here but the snack aisle is a pitstop I must always go through. They got rid of the chips that I REALLY REALLY like though! More like the chips I was obsessed with! ( t . t ) They also got rid of the cold noodles I liked ... but I found those in the H Mart in Jersey. We never park in the lot directly connected with the supermarket because there usually isn't an open space and it would be harder to navigate. You can park on the street or in the lot across the street. $1 will get you about 2 hours which is great!

Jamie S.

Yelp
H-Mart is one of my favorite places for grocery shopping. Great spices, kimchee, clean produce, I always find something fun in their freezers and am impressed by the impeccable seafood section. The best part though, is being able to take a lunch break at the food court upstairs. My go to is the jjajangmyun from Mandu Roo. Whether I eat it immediately, or get it to go, I am not leaving Upper Darby without these black bean coated noodles. Make sure to mix well. Two stalls down, Jian Korean Food makes a simple, spicy kimchi jjigae. And the sushi spot is always fresh and affordable. Pro Tip: They do really amazing party platters.

S S.

Yelp
Love this Establishment---I go in here and lose my mind---I WANT EVERYTHING!!!! Always taking home some type of Dumplings!!! Like their meat prices too!!

Becca W.

Yelp
More like a 3.5 because if you're going for the food court, one of the stands (the Korean one on the far back corner) take forever to get your food on a crowded day...I've had friends wait for nearly an hour to get their order and the rest of us have finished eating by the time their food came out. As I am not Korean, I can not speak to the authenticity of the food but quality is pretty good to me. I love to get the salmon salad from the Japanese counter - perfect for hot summer days. If not that, I usually will go for the naengmyung. On warmer days, I like to go for the kalbi tang. Good portions of food, alright prices. Whenever I come with my church group, some of us always venture into the groceries section to buy ice cream as a dessert and occasionally we peruse the aisle for yummy Asian snacks. Good place to get your Korean fix!

Lillian C.

Yelp
Such a good place if you want some good Korean food. I drove an hour to check this place and it's really good. I've been to another hmart with a food court and this one seems like there are more soup dishes than the one in Edison, NJ. Everything was reasonable you priced. I got the number 27, short ribs with Chinese vegetable soup for 9.99. It came with a bowl of rice, and 3 side dishes. The broth was great and something I would dream to have when I'm sick as well. My friends and I decided to share steamed dumplings, and they were great too. The sign said 8pc but we actually got 10 so that was a great surprise. Overall, I would drive the distance to come here again

Vivian N.

Yelp
I love hmart because of their food court and their bubble tea especially. I just wish there was more parking. No negative experiences yet.

Will L.

Yelp
Not too bad of a store, though the area isn't the best. Parking could be a bit of a pain. There's some parking right in front of the store, but it's right on the street, so there aren't too many spots there. I also think they're metered, so that's a consideration. There's some reserved parking for H-Mart customers in the municipal parking lot, which is nice, but it's kind of a walk away, so it isn't very feasible for big trips. I did see a shopping cart at the parking lot, so people have brought carts there, but if you want to bring it back to the storage spot, you'd have to bring the cart all the way back to the front of the store. I was only there for a quick trip to pick up a few things, so I didn't get to explore too much. They have good selection, though, as expected at H-Mart. Compared to the Elkins Park location, this one seems a little bit cleaner. I'm sure the food court has some good stuff too, but I didn't get to check it out this trip. This location is kind of out of the way for me, but I would go back if I was in the area!

Yelp
This place offers various items a traditional grocer doesn't offer. They have wide ranges of asian ingredients that is hard to come by. Although Hmart is Korean focused and Korean owned, you will find plenty of products from many other cultures. There is also a food court upstairs with Korean/Japanese/Chinese style of foods as well as a bakery. If it wasn't for the fact that it's 40 mins away, this place would be my only go to place for my groceries.

Yelp
There's not much I can add to what's already been Yelped. This place is insane...in a good way. I went specifically in hopes of finding nanami togarashi, a traditional Japanese seven-spice mixture I first encountered at the hibachi bar at Minado. And I found it easily. Had to buy a larger portion than I would've liked but it was a better value than ordering it from Amazon. If you go on a Saturday morning like I did free parking in the lot across the street is a piece of cake.

Yelp
Great Asian grocery store, with a food court on the second floor, lots of variety, including 20 plus tofu varieties and brands. Can be a little crowded on the weekends, and not always easy to socially distance.

Yelp
I've been to other h marts before and this one was incredibly disappointing by comparison. It was narrow and dingy. The selection was nowhere near the other Hmart I've been too. Parking was a nightmare and it honestly seems to be in a kind of sketchy area. A fish smell pervaded the entire store

Yelp
It's pretty dirty here, but if you're coming for prepackaged foods- this is your place. There are excellent restaurants upstairs. Tons of different varieties of rice right when you walk in. Try the Nishiki type for sushi rice- lifechanger. Great frozen dumplings and pork buns.

Yelp
This is equidistant from my place in Philly as the other location in Elkins Park. My first time here was this weekend and I visited both the food court and grocery store. I've been to many H Marts and this felt more like a discount version of the chain. It was squeezed into a kinda cramped strip mall with a bunch of unoccupied interior stores that were repurposed for additional storage, making for a bit of a cluttered mess. The selection didn't seem bad, but it was much more limited selection of fruit and high quality bbq meats than i was normally experienced with when shopping at h marts. There were some places with samples, but oddly enough, no mini trash cans for to throw out the garbage from the toothpicks or mini cups. The food court isn't bad. There is a bubble tea shop, a sushi joint, a korean food place, a korean style chinese food place, and another japanese style place? The sushi joint seemed popping with a steady flow of customers. The bubble tea shop wasn't bad, i had a drink from there, generic fare. I ordered a cold noodle from the traditional korean food place and the broth wasn't very good, but the noodles themselves had a good consistency. I also ordered a cheese Dokiboki (?) or something. I forget the name. Either way, it was pretty good as it is rice cake, fish cake, and onions with spicy sauce doused in shredded mozzarella. It was tasty, but under all the cheese, the small order still felt like i was missing something. I wasn't that full, I guess that is why it's a small, but the price for a small is the same as the regular sized orders for the other dishes. Anyway, i just felt like it skimped.

Yelp
To be honest, I'm Asian which is from China. I love Japanese & Korean food. I know some of Americans have not seen this before. But it is lot of Korean food. I love to visit whenever I like to eat restaurant in hmart. I do rather visit hmart than other restaurants. It's not really best grocery ever but I find something that is entertain me. To taste different new food in grocery like Costco. Even I am fan of Korean and Japanese food since I am child. Of course there are many Korean language even have English. It would have trouble for Americans who have difficulty choice with food. However, for me it is very easy and I can find any food that I love to eat and it often to have good healthy food than other grocery. That's my opinion but language is the one Americans could have trouble with choice too. Still you should go and try to get used with it. Japanese: ありがとうございました。Korean: . Chinese Simplified: 谢谢你。Chinese Traditional: 謝謝你。

Yelp
This is the worse HMart I have ever been to in my life! I went to pick up some greens for dinner and a few other things, but only walked out with 1 thing. The watercress was wilted and tons of ice was packed on top of it, so trying to dig through the box and find a piece was not working well. I then tried to do some mustard greens - again wilted and soaked. Do you guys put everything on ice here??? So, then I decided maybe i'll just do a potato and carrot soup with spareribs for dinner instead. The potatoes had eyes, so I knew they were on the verge of going bad, and the spare ribs were just beyond expensive! So there goes my dinner plans. I then walked to the fishcakes area where I get to scoop my own for a set price. I love the one in Jersey bc they give you so many varieties (regular ones and stuffed ones). This one had only about 4 choices. I got a few scoops (less than what I usually get elsewhere), but during checkout, the price was MAD HIGH! Wth happened? Is your scale off? I paid the price of what I would have paid if I got 3x more in NJ. Oh, and what makes this location even worse is that you have to pay meter to go shopping! I will never ever be back to this location.

Yelp
Decided to get some pre marinated LA kalbi short ribs. The box/container that the meat came in and leaking all over the place, definitely could change to a different packaging. Just cooked some tonight and I had to throw the remainder out even though I just bought them yesterday. The short ribs had an extremely sour, expired taste. I do not think the person marinating them knew what they were doing. Extremely disappointing and disgusting. The grocery store itself also was cramped and difficult to move around in.

Yelp
Awesome diversity of food and fruits. The fish variety is also very good. The pomegranates were the sweetest I've tasted in the US.

Yelp
One of the must run down H marts I have ever been to. Parking is limited. Food court area upstairs is dirty and has come a far way down from what I remember of this place years ago. The grocery area isn't as big as the other h marts I have frequented. Some veggies looked very good but the fruit selection wasn't so fresh. It's very annoying to have to pick thru each and every Korean melon to make sure you don't have a smelly rotten one. Or watching other people pick and choose diff mangos from different boxes leaving old wrinkly or rotten ones in the other boxes. After the veggies and fruit section I didn't dare to pick up any seafood. The bakery book didn't have much to choose from and don't look appealing. Everything things else that comes canned bottled or packaged and imported over was fine. So I left with just a variety of bottled and canned drinks that you can get at any other Asian grocer. I'm still a fan of the chain but I Won't be returning to this location.
