New Capitol Hill H Mart Plans to Open in Fall 2021 - Eater Seattle

"Capitol Hill Station’s new retail and residential development has been in the works for years, but its most anticipated commercial tenant, H Mart, has remained relatively mum about plans. Now, a rep for the grocer’s Pacific Northwest headquarters says the 16,000 square foot store will probably open “sometime this fall.”" - Gabe Guarente

Unlike other H Marts, this location seems to intentionally mix up products and price tags to make things look cheaper than they are. It feels so misleading — you think you're getting a deal, but when you get to the register, the actual price is way higher. On top of that, the frozen food section is a disaster. You have to check expiration dates because so many items are nearly expired, and overall, the management is just sloppy. It's really disappointing.

Google
I think can understand it in a form that is close to a kind of convenience store. There is no Deli's food, only gimbap, but they sell cooked food at H mart grab and go across the street. It should be useful for school student but space of store is small and kind of items also less than other H mart so I said it is like combining store ,

Google
Pre-packaged hit and cold Asian food at moderate prices. This is a drop-in and pick-up food place and the quality you get for this type of an establsment is wonderful.

Google
I got okra , red grapes , green beans , yellow corn , lime juice , avocado , broccoli , mushrooms , Ginger , garlic, oil & vinegar bottle , total cost was $25.61 . I like Indian veggies over there like okra , raddish , chow chow , they were packed in right size & quantity for me , this store has everything like dairy , veggies , cleaning stuff , laundry , cooking utensils , coffee mug , frozen foods , desserts , snacks , customer service was good , store is neat & clean , no restrooms available in the store ,they also mentioned in receipt returns must be made within 7 days of original purchase on the receipt , meat fish produce and dairy products must be returned within 2 hours , products must be in original condition for return

Google
The store is a little bit smaller than I expected, but it is clean and well-maintained, so it is worth visiting. The store is stocked with unique and excellent products, mainly from Asian cuisine. I came in to buy some snacks and vegetables for my dinner and they were fresh. The staff is super helpful. I highly recommend this place to anyone

Google
Excellent for Korean style groceries, snacks, and skin care that are hard to find anywhere else. Always a fun store to visit and easy to walk to the location on the Ave.

Google
It is a nice little market. Sometimes they have expired chips and stuff so I always check expiration dates on all products. I come here fairly often, at least once or twice a week and the employees are always friendly.

Google
they know their audience for sure - entire first floor is dedicated to snacks, which makes sense for the crowd here. I was looking for pastes and cooking ingredients, which were happily to be found on the second floor (did not originally realize that existed on my first visit). it's a smaller hmart, so they don't have as many options, but they had 1-3 decent options for common Thai, Vietnamese, Filipino, and even Hawaiian goods on top of the Korean, Japanese, and Chinese ones. (I also found a few Mexican and Middle Eastern products too! wonderful to see) I found some goods reasonably priced, but you definitely have to look for them! some goods are not labeled with the price, which is mildly annoying, but I knew to double check when checking out that things matched what I expected them to. staff was helpful (I accidentally took this basket on the second floor that is actually one of their products, not a shopping basket lol) but overall a good experience.

Yelp
Twice in a row, I've been in there to buy something and the employees have been rude. Security has been rude. It's too bad cause I really like this place and I like the fact it's close to my apartment, but I'm not going back because I've been reproved twice by their employees. I had my helmet on because I was going to be in and out apparently I didn't notice but they have a sign saying you can't bring scooters in which I can understand if it was raining outside. They don't want a wet floor, but it was completely dry I was not making marks in the store And Security was completely rude and out of line. So I'll just leave and never come back.

Yelp
This has got to be the smallest HMart I've been into. It's situated in a very busy area. If you need a grab and go, they have that across the street. The first floor is all produce and groceries, but it's limited. I didn't see premade meals that were ready to eat, very limited fruits and vegetables here. The aisle are jam packed with as much as possible and it's busy with students. There's more groceries up top with a kpop store as well. It's so difficult to move around in they don't even have carts for you to use. So.
google avatar

Yelp
Service at this location and the way you are treated and looked at can be hit or miss. I don't feel the store is a friendly atmosphere. Small store with smaller selection but I always find what I need or am looking for! There is usually a security presence at the front door. Store has a downstairs and upstairs with the registers near the front door for purchasing. I have gotten great stainless steel food serving tongs, awesome large nail clippers, Soju, tasty tea beverages, yummy pastries, and plenty of great items from Korea here! I would return for specific items.

Yelp
This is amazing. Grab and go food- all sorts of Asian food. My kids enjoyed it, and ate dinner here. I found snacks I liked. There's security. We had fun Here's where it's confusing... one side of street has grab and go and the other is the grocery. I would have loved this if I was in college. They have things my Hmart doesn't have. Upstairs has more including home items. I love it. Better than my Hmart. Only missing live fish.

Yelp
Nice to have an H Mart in this neighborhood, but honestly the selections are much fewer compared to the other H Marts in the Greater Seattle area, even including the one in downtown Seattle (that one has actual prepared meals). Also prices are a tad more expensive. Nonetheless, they have banchan sides here for all of your Korean cooking/meal needs. And yes - lots of soju and different types of instant ramen noodles. I want to say this location opens until 9:30pm, so it is a good "late night" option when other Asian supermarkets close around 8pm. Otherwise, I miss my Uwajimaya and Lam's Seafood.

Yelp
Half the staff doesn't understand English. Most of the kitchen staff. Can't ask for help

Yelp
I love H Mart, this one isn't anything particularly special though. It's a bit small as far as groceries go, and the hot bar is actually across the street from the grocery store. The staff is always super friendly and it's super convenient if I'm in the U District area!
google avatar

Jeremy G.

Yelp
Great spot to find all the Asian goodies. Sweets, drinks, moshi, noodles and oooohhh that lickher!! Tons of snacks to pick up while you explore. Friendly staff. The Mart is 2 stories.
google avatar

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Just no. Unless you live nearby, there is no reason why you should come here. It's about 1/5th of the size of a regular H Mart. There's no reserved parking, and it's hard to get to by car. It's a tiny convenience store with canned drinks and ramen, most of which are close to expiring. Really hard to navigate through the tiny aisles, and if there's more than 2 other people in the store, good luck trying to get thru.

Danni K.

Yelp
Hey H mart. If you can't keep frozen food frozen, you shouldn't be selling them. I'm tired of buying melted and refrozen ice cream and spoiled frozen dumplings. One of these days, someone's gonna get real sick and they'll sue your ass.
google avatar

Benjamin T.

Yelp
Love the wide variety of things to buy. Our go-to place for Japanese mayo. Love, love, LOVE the fried fish cake stand. Our favorite was the pepper fish. The Bulgagi to purchase at the food court was quite tasty, but a bit spicy.
google avatar

Yelp
H mart!! It's the newer spot on the ave. And it's kinda perfect for student life. This ones much smaller, much more compact. They still have a lot of the same stuff from downtown but not as fancy/ nice of a store esthetic. The 2 guys that work here are less than friendly too. But it's ok. It's an in and out place! Most stuffs are good. Quick grab of Korean food/ dumplings! Snacks etc. it is overpriced compared to others. But they are one of the H Marts that open late: Till 11 pm! Especially now in pandemic, it's unheard of! Parking is street parking and you will be wrestling with homeless on the ave. They are much more aggressive at night. Overall, smaller H mart on the ave. Not my goto but it's convenient.

Yelp
We've been staying at UWMC for over a week and getting sick of the cafeteria food... and craving Asian food. Found this grocery store on Yelp and the salmon bento looked appealing so took an Uber over there. I didn't even bother to go up to the second floor, just checked out the food stuff on the first floor. They got a good selection of Asian items, including fresh veggies. I was super impressed that they had a selection of Filipino specialty drinks, and their fruit platters looked exceptional. However, the bentos I went there for were pretty unappealing. Don't know how to describe it but they looked old and of poor quality... especially the poke bowls. Ended up not getting any and just purchased some Itoen teas and vinegar cracklings (Filipino)---- two more items I was surprisingly impressed that they carried.

Yelp
Great place with friendly staff. I love to grab meat and anything else when rushing home

Yelp
Man, I would've loved to have had an H Mart, walking distance from my college. This H Mart located on the Ave is targeted for those college students who frequent the area, as with most of the businesses in the U-District. I visited H Mart, just to check out what they had while in the area, and it was different from my primary location in Bellevue. It's not as spacious, nor is the grocery selection as expansive as other H Marts, but again, this is a location that's catering to students. With that said, they had many already-prepared items, snacks, beverages and other food items. But do not expect a butcher, a deli, a seafood selection, etc... With that said, H Mart on the Ave is a win for Huskies. But for everyone else who's used to shopping at other H Marts, the selection may be limited. Also, when I visited on a weekday after 3PM, the already-prepared items were not discounted, like what they offer at the Bellevue H Mart where items are discounted 30% off. Still, it's a good value for students who want a quick Korean meal and groceries to take back to their dorms and so on.
google avatar

Noyonima H.

Yelp
Tiny place, they don't have any of the regular hot items, not well stocked, and I mean there's not even a proper frozen seafood section with shrimps, etc that's usable. Do not recommend, definitely won't be back.

Yelp
I've been to several H Marts and this one is by far my LEAST FAVORITE. Perhaps this is because it seems to be catered to the student life style (dozens of ramen etc.). Although it was two floors it's small and things were pricey as compared to other Asian grocery stores (keeping in mind that Korean food is usually more expensive in general). The first floor has some produce, mini baked goods, snacks and drinks while the 2nd floor has kitchen tools/kitchen appliances and a small Kpop/Korean beauty product section, which I was hoping had more Korean skin care products. The staff were okay- not super friendly and all hung out around the registers it seems. Tip- limited parking as it is located in the U district and no public restrooms- even for playing customers (odd in my opinion).

Yelp
This incredible resource is my go-to place for Asian groceries and housewares. If you want the whole picture, please read "Crying in H-Mart" by Michelle Zauner (soon to be a major motion picture).
google avatar

G G.

Yelp
It doesn't have everything, but they have rice, noodles, meat, fruits, etc. I'm glad there's an Asian market in the u district. I go to Uwajimaya, if I need more things.
google avatar

Lily T.

Yelp
Smaller than the other H Mart. Have a large selection of instant noodles and snacks. This store cashier serve the students nearby.
google avatar

Katy C.

Yelp
I love Asian grocery stores and I was hoping to get some cutesy Korean products, so I was excited to check out this H Mart. The store is packed in pretty tightly and the first floor is mostly produce, packaged food items, beverages, and other food groceries. The second floor has more pantry items, some household goods, and their "beauty" section which is its own room. They have a lot of hair color here, some makeup, a few desk accessory type items, and some toys. Not as much as I was hoping for, but I did get a couple things. I also bought some Korean snacks and treats to try and one item that I'd received in a Korean snack box. Their beverage selection is pretty awesome, I wish we had more time to check things out and purchase more to enjoy during our stay. I'd love to visit more H Marts in the future!
google avatar

Marie B.

Yelp
I find it amusing that there's a huge H Mart up in Lynnwood near Alderwood Mall that I've never visited, but somehow managed to check out the newish, two level H Mart in Seattle's U District on 7/7/17. Seems the Ave has gone through yet another wave of change, becoming an International District mini me with the phethora of Asian restaurants and businesses. With minimal time, I wandered the first floor only. I didn't bother with the second level with alcohol and housewares. Interesting variety of grocery items and ready to go prepared food, with most leaning towards Korean cuisine. I ended up just buying some sesame oil and jasmine brown rice. Note: there's an extra charge for a sturdy plastic shopping bag. Nice, compact, and convenient for folks who live, work, and shop in the UDistrict.
google avatar

Christine H.

Yelp
Imma just say that UW students are hella lucky to have a Korean market like this cause when I was in college, all we had was this tiny store that pretty much blew up the prices for everything because there were no other Korean markets within distance. So...this H Mart has two stories (the first floor is stocked with the more perishable items), and the second floor has the dry foods and an entire room dedicated to KPOP and KBeauty items. To top it all off, the prices are decent! Talk about accessibility to a wide range of products. Yeah, y'all lucky.
google avatar

Anne D.

Yelp
Ramen, packaged hot and cold food, snacks, and booze is what a UW student can live off of and this H Mart knows it. These items are on the 1st floor and not the 2nd which is really smart and convenient. The 2nd floor has household goods and items you can cook if you have a decent kitchen. It's not the prettiest or largest H Mart around but it's still good to have an Asian grocery store/mini mart near campus otherwise you'll have to take the U District light rail to Chinatown for Uwajimaya and who has time for that?! Your mom would be like, "Why are you wasting time going to Chinatown when you should be studying!" haha
google avatar

Michele R.

Yelp
I'm totally H Mart obsessed and I'm here way too often. The only thing is I wish they had some vegetarian/vegan options in their ready made food section. They've got some cool stuff in their freezer section though... like this instant boba milk tea and their green onion pancakes.
google avatar

Reanne W.

Yelp
So happy I could cry--we finally have an Asian grocery store in the area! This H Mart is clean, has friendly staff, and is stocked with all kinds of popular Korean, Asian, and Western foods. There's produce, bakery items, ready to eat meals, and even a whole section for Korean home goods and beauty products. I bought two giant rolls of kimbap for $5, and the other items are also priced reasonably well. The stairs to the second floor are a little weird though, as they're located past the checkout stands on the first floor, near the doorway.
google avatar

Moshi M.

Yelp
Ambience. B Service. A Food. A Price. A Yea, a modern clean Asian shopping store with 2 floors with many unique options from many Asian countries! Foods fresh and packaged , housewares and cosmetics. They pack into these 2 floors thousands of items neatly and, there's still enough room to maneuver around. There must be 100s of Ramen and noodle options and many unique alcohol unique to Asia! I'm glad this is on the university Avenue! A great alternative for anything Asian rather than going all the way to international district! I'm a fan!
google avatar

Jonathan T.

Yelp
Horribly managed. Stickered prices do not match when rung up. I even checked the barcode number to make sure it was right.(Not talking about meats, produce or items with a sticker per weight price) I asked the cashier and he said stickers are wrong, cash register is right. Students predominantly shop here for groceries meaning we need to watch our budget. The store should reevaluate their practice and improve in reflecting accurate prices. Until then I'm just going to wait for my friend to take me to hmart or 99 ranch up north.
google avatar

Iryna B.

Yelp
Very expensive tiny Hmart , the prices are also definitely marked wrong and then you get surprised at the register. The assortment is very weak , mostly there are good dishes in the ready foods section and snacks like chips and cookies . All the rest is very poor in selection , there are only multi packs of ramen for around $6 and no dry soups packages or sauce pouches and dry noodles to cook with and raw meats selection is almost none with prices even for frozen items going up to $10 and more . Very few beverages , just the small ready to drink sizes . Definitely looks more like a Hmart annex comparing to other huge supermarkets in Lynwood and Bellevue. The customer service is good though and the store and selection is obviously very geared up to suit university students, with mostly all ready to eat and microvable products and not much cooking ingredients There are very few unique and awesome Korean ingredients and products and hard to buy much not spending $50 plus

Liang A.

Yelp
The place looks decent but the foods there are horrible. Just bought a box of sliced beef and it turns all black inside with stinky smell. DO NOT BUY FOOD THERE.
google avatar

Stephanie W.

Yelp
This H Mart has everything you need and in a perfect location! It's just like being back at home. They keep H Mart super clean and there's plenty of helpful staff walking around. My favorite things to buy are the noodles, snacks and soju! Downstairs it's all produce, noodles, snacks, drinks and upstairs you can find home goods, teas, more foods and even makeup. There's soooo much to see and get and look at. It's not only Korean things but you can also find goods from other countries.
google avatar

Clara P.

Yelp
Walking into this store really makes me miss Seoul. I love browsing here. Plus the store always seemed to be staffed by Koreans, which really adds to feeling like I've stepped into Korea for a moment. Unlike other reviewers, I didn't find the prices unreasonable. It's not a large store, but they do have a little of everything- fresh and packaged groceries, home goods, and cosmetics and sheet masks. And they have a lot of the standard well-loved Korean brands. I find it comforting that I can always find my favorites here!
google avatar

Alex N.

Yelp
My favorite place to get Japanese goods such as hair products and snacks! Great location being on the ave and that the market is well organized and clean! Very similar to Uwajimaya downtown.
google avatar

Liz J.

Yelp
I like HMart for their snacks so when I saw that there was on in Seattle, I knew I had to see it. While I didn't get any snacks, I did get some kpop stuff to bring back for some friends since they like it. What I like is that they have stuff suck as cds, socks, stickers, keychains, backpacks, shirts, etc. I like the selection they have and it is definitely more than the San Jose and Los Angeles ones. I've seen that they have lots of selections for take home food (kimbap, kimchi). The things I don't like about this place is that it is super duper small. To put in retrospect, the ones in Los Angeles and San Jose are like Safeway-sized, but this one is more like the size of a small bubble tea shop. In addition, parking can be so hard to find.
google avatar

Travis L.

Yelp
This location apparently caters to a specific crowd, which is probably great if you are on a fixed poor student budget. There are plenty of pre-packaged food options and an okay freezer section but nothing like what one would expect from the traditional H-Marts. This may seem like a rather harsh rating for a review that doesn't have a lot of critiques, I just feel like this should be names something else or at least have a little moniker that lets you know it's aimed at convenience not the full experience.
google avatar

Hans K.

Yelp
LIke everyone else, very happy that an H-Mart is close(r). I am a regular at the Lynnwood H-Mart and while I think that one is obviously better, this Ave location one is really convenient if I need to get some basics (kimchi, gochujang, etc.) or any packaged good (soju, drinks, chips, cookies, ramen, etc.) Prices are noticeably higher, maybe 10-15%+ across the board? Obviously suited towards foot traffic / college students. Ready made foods, drinks, and snacks are their emphasis. They also have home goods and cosmetics upstairs in addition to alcohol, ramen, and snacks on 2nd floor. Staff is usually super friendly, mainly college students. The Korean workers need to be a little more friendly to non-Korean customers. Since I am Korean and try to make it known, I am served well but I've observed a little coldness towards non-Koreans. Warren is very helpful and warm - he is great!
google avatar

Masil M.

Yelp
This is like the grocery outlet of H Marts, yet without the savings. It's a pretty cramped store and the selection is much smaller than the other H-marts, which is understandable considering it's not a suburban strip mall location. I thought the produce looked not great and the meat selection was small. If you need ramen, they do have a lot of that. I didn't go upstairs. It's probably great for the students in the area to have at least some access to this instead of the sad Asian aisle at the local grocery chain.
google avatar

Jeanny M.

Yelp
Finally open! The H Mart seemed to come out of nowhere and I'm so thankful. They have two floors! Everything is very clean and organized on their first day of opening. People were checking out with good speed and the employees were happy and helpful. The first floor has the grab/go food and cold beverages upon the left when you enter, and then there is fresh produce on the opposite wall leading into an open freezer section. The middle section is more grocery items. Going upstairs can be tight during a busy time, but there is an elevator if needed. The upstairs is where all the snacks and beverages are! So much haribo gummy and ramen noodles. There is house items along the back wall and over to the right which hosts a small cosmetic selection. They don't have a parking lot nor do they validate parking for nearby lots. Welcome to the Ave!
google avatar

Wei H.

Yelp
For someone that's used to travel 30 miles to the closest H Mart in the Chicago suburbs, this H Mart is a godsend. Yes, it's teeny tiny. Yes, it has a sad selection of produce. But, it's got pretty much all of the other Asian cooking/eating essentials. The assortment of sauces and snacks (on the second floor, along with household items like cookware) is especially impressive given the small store size. One word of caution: make sure you look at the production date of their ready-to-eat items like kimbap. I accidentally picked up a veggie kimbap that was a day old and did not notice. It was awful. Rice was stiff and the roll was dry. The beef kimbap on the other hand was perfectly fine coz it was prepared on that same day. So just pay attention to the packaging! Man, if I lived in U District, this would be a BIG problem.
google avatar

Amy F.

Yelp
Great typical H Mart quality kimchi and meat, but I was really disappointed by the produce!! They definitely have room to get a bit more selection in, and the greens were all very old looking (maybe damaged by the very tight shrink wrap? seems like a bad way to package delicate leafy greens). I would have made it my go-to grocery if produce was more plentiful, but things like alcohol got 3x the space as it. I guess it's more of a convenient store than normal H Mart. The gift shop upstairs has some cute gifts and a small selection of high quality Korean cosmetics.

Junho L.

Yelp
There are so many products in the Hmart UW. Cosmetic..Funco..Kpop Products..wow ~~~ !!!
google avatar

Yeh-Eun L.

Yelp
Although smaller than the Federal Way and Lakewood locations I've been to, I can always count on this location to carry all the pre-made Korean dishes my friends and I crave (heads up: they're located in the fridge, to the left upon entering). It costs a lot less than prepping your own ingredients or eating out, and taste much better/fresh too in my opinion. My friends and I bought containers of spicy pork bulgogi, tteokbokki, fish cake soup, and some other side dishes, totaling to about $34 (such a bargain). My all time fave and go-to is the tteokbokki kit. HIGHLY recommend buying and adding some water/broth to it (brought back nostalgia eating out in Korea).
google avatar

Braden H.

Yelp
I am very disappointed to find out that if you purchase an item from an Hmart location you have to return it to the same location and you can't return it at any other Hmart even if they carry the item. I purchased an item at the Federal Way location since I was in the area and later decided that I did not need it for a dish. It's non-perishable and unopened. I highly recommend that you don't purchase an item from an Hmart that is further from your home unless you know that you need the item. Imagine if Target or Safeway had the same return policy.
google avatar

Peter T.

Yelp
Lazy and unhelpful two employees, a stocker and a cashier. I want to like you. No employees upstairs. No produce I'm looking for. Expensive
google avatar

Yasmina M.

Yelp
Needing to get some korean sauces late at night and this was the closest location to me. This was the first time I visited this location, I usually trek my way to the Lynnwood location as it's the biggest store, but the one in Bellevue has warm food and cold banchan that I love to get as well. This store is like the mini version of H-mart even though they are a two-story building. The minute we walked through the entrance door, we had to snake our way through the people waiting in line to pay at the cashier, trying to maintain our social distance during this pandemic. They opened the entrance door wide open and the frozen sections are all open freezer type so the first floor literally is a freezer. It's cold af. After seeing the limited selection of products on the first floor, we went to the second floor where it's warmer and less cramped. There's also a small room where all Kpop stuff and other cute knickknacks are displayed. I must say this probably what differentiates this location to the others. They sell The Alley instant bubble tea but they don't have English-translation on the label nor the price label (usually at other H-Mart or Uwajimaya, they would indicate the price and the product name as well as the flavor for each one on the paper label on the shelves so we know what we're buying). Anyway, this H-Mart is a good addition for students and some shopping although they carry limited products, so if you need some specific items you might need to go out your way to their other locations.

Customer R.

Yelp
Pros: - Love the older female and the big older male staff (both look like managers or something). They are super friendly, patient, and seem very respectful. - Like a lot of foods they have. Cons: - Some younger staff don't seem friendly at all. As a customer, I say hi and bye to all of them when they ring me up, they don't say hi and bye back. I have almost never seen staff who don't greet customers. It is an issue. They are the faces of the business. They need to greet customers especially when the customers greet them first and try to be respectful. I think I am explaining this more than enough. - Not many foods compared to other H-marts (Lynwood, Bellevue, Federal Way) even though it in the U-District where a lot of college students live.
google avatar

Gun Y.

Yelp
Trash customer service. Im not mentioning all of the employees, but there are couple employees who were rude as hell when I mentioned some of their veggies are in bad condition.
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
I don't know why it took so long for H Mart to finally make its way down into Seattle. We've been needing this for decades. No longer do I have to make the trek up to Lynnwood or across to Bellevue. It's not as expensive as the other stores, so don't expect a full deli selection but trust me, the store makes up for it in snacks and other Asian paraphernalia. Downstairs you'll find your usual staples for cooking, upstairs is solidly snacks and sweets. Best of all, theres a cute little shop inside of the store that sells Asian beauty products, such as Dr. Jart and other cute items.

Lisa B.

Yelp
I'm not sure about this location, yet. I frequent Lynnwood and Bellevue stores and their ready-to eat things are pretty fresh. 3 out of 5 times I bought kimbap at the U-District store, they were old and I had to throw them out. I hate wasting food and money. What's the big deal? Well, it's equivalent to paying full price for a couple day old French Baguette. You were expecting chewy and moist but you got dry and crumbly. When I'm hungry, stuff like that really pisses me off. I also bought soju there since, my God, do they carry enough booze. It was advertised for $4.49 but with all the taxes, it came out to be like $7 for a 375ml soju(small bottle). I get it, it's WA's fault for all the different taxes but it would be honest if H-Mart would post what the extra-tax on top of regular sales tax would be. I'm not from WA and I don't spend all my free time reading up on WA tax codes. So overall, as long as you buy prepackaged stuff, watch out for production dates, and know you would be paying a lot more for non beer/wine alcohol than the sticker price, you would be ok. Oh, they also charge .10cents for a bag and if you ask for chop sticks since you bought kimbap, they charge you for that, too. I didn't know they charge for chop sticks until I checked my receipt. I don't feel they are transparent with their pricing and honest about the quality of their packaged food. Getting nickle and dimed and not know about it is even worst. I'm not that eager or happy to go back because I don't trust how they treat their customers.
