It was ok. The prices are comparable to Coldstone, but more than Handel’s. The Brownie ala mode ice cream was decent. The mocha shake was super bland. Almost no flavor whatsoever. It was pretty astonishing.

Horrible customer service oh my god. Visited the location and ordered a Hot Chocolate and 1 scoop of the coffee ice cream. Total came out to 11$ which is quite steep for the amount they give you. "Large" of the hot chocolate is in my opinion a small. The scoop for the ice cream is very small as well. On top of that the poor customer service. I asked for an alternative of the milk on the hot chocolate and they said they couldn't do it even thought it says it on the menu. I let it go after that because maybe it would be good minus the customer service. However when I was given the scolding hot drink they didn't even give me a lid. After trying the hot chocolate it just tasted like foamy milk. The ice cream was barely scooped into the cup. The workers look unapproachable. I'm not the type to call out bad customer service but my god please do better. Will be doing a chargeback on this purchase. Definitely won't return.

It's a small storefront that shares its space with frozen yogurt, but the staff were all friendly and everything was clean. and well lit. Through my mask I could smell the faint odor of fresh waffle cone and sweet cream, which is what an ice cream store should smell like. Also the ice cream was in good shape with no freezing over or signs of melting.

The store and products are nice and tasty; but my experience was better if the server hadn't come to me with a mop in hand, and then started preparing my order with the same hand. Not to mention her flat face.

This specific Haagen-Dazs is very tiny. It was crowded by four people only when we went it. Social distancing is impossible here. We didn’t like the tipping by embarrassment style: before you pay the machine asked if you wanna pay tip of 18 % or higher. We declined because serving yourself white the yogurt machine provides no justification for tip whatsoever. We tried the yogurt and it was ok and the midnight cookies 🍪 and cream and it melted immediately.

Got to try mint chocolate flavor! I love it 😻 It’s been one of the most favorite flavors in my life! So nice to have it for hot days like now! Come and grab your ice cream of your choice! Cheers 🥂

I stopped into Häagen-Dazs on my birthday to use my new member reward and treat myself. I ordered what I thought was the smallest cone to redeem the reward, but I think I was misheard. By the time I realized the wrong cone was being used, the ice cream had already been scooped, so there was no going back. I got the pistachio flavor, which I liked since it's one of the lower sugar options. Unfortunately, because the cone was larger than what the reward allows, I wasn't able to redeem it--and now it's expired. I was really looking forward to using it as a little birthday treat, so I left feeling pretty disappointed overall. Just a heads-up to double-check the cone size if you're planning to use a mini cup or cone reward.

Service was quick. Got the brownie flavor. Pretty interior. Cant really go wrong with ice cream :P

It's been many years since I last had Häagen-Dazs. The Belgian Chocolate milkshake is SO good, and the girl who helped me was really nice. I didn't catch her name, but I noticed how she was the only employee working her way to help out customers. Great kudos to her! The ambiance was also simply layered out, and I love the decorations. 'Would love to come back again!

I like this location they offer lots of things, one of them is the frozen yogurt and all the toppings' table, what I was very disappointed is that it was just 2 people in a mall location and they were very slow, I hope they get more staff

Stopped in just before closing tonight to get a sweet treat. We were nervous that because we were coming in so close to closing that the workers would seem annoyed. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. I'd like to give praise to KJ for being so kind and letting us sample all the flavors we wanted. He made good suggestions and was very friendly. We would come back to this location just because of the service we had from him. Management, if you're reading this, please give credit where it is due. Ice cream wise- I loved the Belgian chocolate. My husband really enjoyed the cookie dough as well. I don't think you could go wrong with any of the flavors. So good!

I've been coming here for years and the service can be a hit or a miss dependjng on who's working. The ice cream is delicious nonetheless. This review is for the girl who makes the cakes. Amazing service from Thu! I ordered a cake and she called me to confirm my order. She was very sweet ans patient despite how difficult and specific I was being with the cake decorations and the writing. The cake she made came out absolutely perfect and my family loved it. We love the ice cream here! Some employees need to be retrained on customer service for other customers in the store but overall I had a great experience with Thu ordering a cake!

I was visiting the spectrum with family. Everyone wanted ice cream after dinner so we went for Häagen-Dazs. I opted for frozen yogurt which was a very similar flavor and experience to yogurtland. Everyone knows the ice cream is great. Staff was friendly, attentive, and fast. The price is a bit steep at $60 for a group of 9, mostly getting the equivalent of a single scoop ice cream cone... it's good just be prepared to pay.

Came here as part of OC restaurant week and enjoyed what I got! This time, I got the Oreo sundae with a scoop of Belgium chocolate, rocky road, and mint chip, and I have to say, this ice cream is very rich! If you are a huge fan of chocolate, the Belgium chocolate is made for you. It was velvety and super decadent! The rocky road was not as rich and added a delightful crunch and sweetness from the nuts and marshmallows. The mint chip was light, balancing out the richness of the other two flavors. The Oreo sundae came with a bunch of Oreo cookies and hot fudge. It added a satisfying crunch with every ice cream bite. The portion size for the sundae was generous, and I shared it with one other person, so I definitely got some value out of this! Overall, this shop is a must-try for any ice cream lover who's a fan of the ice cream you can find in stores! The workers were all super nice as well, so the experience was great!

Ice cream nurtures the soul, as they say. I just wanted some ice cream. And so, I stopped by this Hagen Daz ice cream shop at the Irvine Spectrum center in Irvine, CA. I wanted to celebrate finishing marathon/ultra #118 that happened the day before in central Pennsylvania before flying to Irvine the next morning literally. Ice cream seemed to be the best thing ever, when I was eating it, of course. And so, I arrived at the Irvine Spectrum at about 1:00pm after family picked me up at the John Wayne airport and headed here to this Hagen Daz location next to the Ferris wheel. There wasn't much of a line there, so I just scooted into the queue and thought about what I wanted. Since it's Hagen Daz, you know you're getting something great and gourmet ice cream seemed to be the order of the day. The service here was friendly and staffed with high school or college kids. My experience here took about 10 minutes from start to finish. I ended up with a double scooped chocolate in a cup. The prices were decently enough, priced around $10 or so, which is pretty amazing for California. With that said, the chocolate ice cream was heavenly and delicious. Wish I asked if they sold take home pints or not, so I could have had more but at a value. While I know Hagen Daz is a national ice cream chain, it's always great to have them at your local mall, or in my case, while on vacation. Definitely hit the spot after running 26.2 miles in Pennsylvania and then flying to California to see family the next day. The overall experience here at this Hagen Daz ice cream shop in Irvine California was good and positive. It was great to have ice cream after a big accomplishment, such as completing a marathon. The ice cream parlor was definitely small but not large. It was standing room only but had enough room for a couple of tables inside the shop for people to sit down and enjoy their purchases. I ended up taking my ice cream outside and enjoyed watching people ride the Ferris wheel. Enjoying my vacation in Irvine before I had to head home the next day. For the most part though, my experience here at this ice cream shop in the middle of the Irvine Spectrum center was fairly well and short, since I just wanted one thing and it took about 10 ish minutes. While the ice cream is quite decadant and delicious, it didn't taste as homemad-y as alot of other places tend to be. Still, fresh and delicious ice cream here in Southern California where you want it to be. And so, if you are in the area and want your daily fix, consider coming to Hagen Daz ice cream parlor. I myself prefer the regular old fashion chocolate, as it was meant to be. Nothing fancy. Just simple chocolate for me. It was delicious and helped me remember what I did in Pennsylvania the previous day prior to arrival in Irvine. Definitely worth it. Come on down. This Hagen Daz Ice cream parlor is located in the Irvine Spectrum center here in Irvine, California. It's physical address is 745 Spectrum Drive. They accept major credit cards, as well as cash. There's plenty of ground level parking here around the Spectrum, but if you prefer it, you can park in the parking structure nearby, that will guarantee shade for your vehicle. I arrived here with family, so I can't say I took public transportation. But if you decide to come here via public transportation, consider the route(s) you need to come to the area. Best bet would be to come here early enough to secure a spot before the crowds come and parking becomes an absolute premium. And so, if you need that ice cream fix and are at the Irvine Spectrum, consider coming here to get it since it's very conveient and worth it. Most definitely. I don't think there was any noticible air conditioning in the ice cream parlor, although it wasn't really hot out while i was there. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 4.5 stars for the ice cream and the ambiance. 3.0 stars for the prices. 4.0 stars for the service. I ordered a milkshake ... and it tasted bad.. old milk ... I just tossed it out. No wonder why their rating is so low!! The kid who works there, was just a Kid. Amateur, lack of experience. Come on haagen dazs. I think you can do better

Located next to the giant ferris wheel at the Irvine Spectrum, I wandered into this shop while my wife was doing some clothes shopping. The cheery woman working here immediately offered me some tastes and I decided on two scoops in a cup: Irish Cream Brownie and White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle. There is no indoor seating so I sat outside in the mall patio area. The Irish Cream Brownie was fantastic. It tasted like Bailey's with pieces of chocolatey goodness throughout. The White Chocolate Truffle was also delicious with a multitude of flavor bursts of chocolate and raspberry. I certainly wasn't disappointed in this ice cream expedition and it gave me the stamina to endure another hour of my wife's clothes shopping.

This store has good location in Irvine Spectrum in front of the Center Giant Wheel. I was craving for ice cream in a hot summer day. If you are a fan of sorbet, you definitely don't want to miss out their mango flavor. Bom! I also tried the 2 flavors raspberry and coffee ice cream. These taste standard. The store service is standard as well. Overall, this place is good when you are craving for ice cream and it has good location, but not a place to go if you're looking to experience anything special.

I liked the milkshakes and smoothies this store offers, but they are a little expensive of the price of $9.90. It has the creamy ice cream feel to it. The staff there is also pretty nice and the things we order would come to us at a pretty fast rate. The ice cream there are nicely made as well. The store itself is pretty clean and barely has anyone there to form a line.

I came in today at around 7pm after watching IT 2 at the Regals nearby, I was craving ice cream but didn't want to get it at the movie theater. I normally don't go to Haagen Dazs, but thought I'd give it a chance. I walked in and this guy, I think his name was Paul (?) was so welcoming and friendly. I wanted to try a bunch of samples, and he offered me his recommendations. I tried the banana peanut butter chip and caramel come, and both were so freaking delicious that I got a scoop of both with my girlfriend. Paul definitely made the experience so great because normally these type of ice cream shops give terrible customer service. But the worker that day was the opposite and I felt really good to know this place hires genuinely awesome people! The girl that worked there today seemed so friendly too! Thanks Paul and the team for the delicious treat and superb customer service :)

Terrible place, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!!! I just wanted some refreshing ice cream on this hot day, but I was shocked to see there was MOLD in the toppings of my frozen yogurt. SO DISGUSTING. I will be contacting my lawyer immediately. Not to mention there were so many flies and bugs in the store, landing on all the ice cream.

I got a milkshake from there and it tasted really sour. I don't know if there was something with the milk that was used but it was definitely not worth the high price. Would not recommend this location.

The scopes were generous, always love Haagen-Dazs. What I don't love is why the server working here not friendly and nice w my nieces? I don't care ...ok I do care if you smile or not when you're in customer service industry (my job is sort of as well) but I don't feel as much beef and it wouldn't be a 2stars...but my 7yrs old niece was grinning ear to ear cuz you know, auntie is getting her ice cream and smile toothlessly (couple of her front teeth haven't re-grow) and the server was giving her the dead eyes the whole freaking time I would be back, if there's no other options (California w no alternative options?!?)

This place has the most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced not only was the girl rushing my husband for him to hurry up and order she was also tapping her scooper making it very obvious that she was in a rush , I work in the restaurant industry and I understand the sense of urgency but I would never be disrespectful to anybody like that ! Period because of customers you have a job ... I have emailed corporate and I will not stop until someone apologizes , I'm not asking for a free ice cream ! Next time if you are having a bad day call off no one wants to deal with that attitude... No name tag either so I'm unable to identify her !

Stopped in out of curiosity. The smells and pictures were so pretty. I just had to get something. The staff was attentive and helpful. I asked a bunch of questions before deciding. The shop was very clean. Not only could I get a shake, banana split, ice cream but frozen yogurt with all the trimmings. I decided on the Mocha coffee frappe, YUM!!!

My friend and I got ice cream at this location last week. Not sure who was working but they gave my friend two scoops and didn't even give me one full scoop? Weird because we got the same size and it was the same price.

I don't know how are they still open with that customer service that they have!! I walked in with my husband and 5kids 25 min before closing and the guy and girl was rude everyone got something then we tried ordering a dulce de leche milkshake and the guy "Daniel" said no because he had already washed the blender what the hell your serious 25min before closing we told him you could wash it again we're not asking you for free he then started laughing at us left us there and went to the back. We asked the girl for there names she said his name was "Daniel" and her name was jazmin we got the bill and her name is Kelly .

Sadly, it seems like 80% of the time, they don't have the ONE ice cream flavor that I like here; Midnight Cookies & Cream. Literally, 80% of the time. The last 5x's I have been here they didn't have it 4x's. I was disappointed but said I would take the regular cookies & cream instead...guess what? They were out of that one too. You would think if a flavor was that popular that they can't keep it stocked; they would order more of it so as not to have this problem again or at least less often. I have the rewards account here & come here as my first choice because of it but there are about 5 or 6 options for ice cream/gelato at the Irvine Spectrum. I think I'll start going to the other places now since I can't seem to get what I want here.

Be aware! I went to Haagen Dazs Irvine Spectrum on Thu 18 Nov. 2018 I orderd two scoops , which is for $5.75, and the Asian staff calculated it as three scoops for $6.75. Unprofessional customer service!

Really bad customer service. I was in the line for over then minutes with my little one. There was a woman and boy entered after me and cut into the line before me. I asked why they allow her to be serviced before me. The cashier told me the line starts from the other side. What?? Such liar. We left the store immediately. It's not worth to deal with such bad customer service.

This 5 star is for Serena for an outstanding service. She was serving samples of the mango smoothie when she greeted us on the way out. She noticed we weren't really happy with our underwhelming serving size of ice cream. So she offered to remake it and she made our day by first approaching us and showed genuine appreciation for us as customers. Thanks again Serena!

The ice cream is very good but the price is too much like I would get it if it was less expensive. The people are rude to kids too. Not the best experience.

This store in the Irvine Spectrum has been here for a while now. The only other ones I know are at the south coast plaza and mission viejo mall. It's a medium sized store, and now they have brownie cookie sandwich where you pick a flavor and sandwich them. But I wasn't in the mood for that. I just got the Chocolate Peanut Butter on a chocolate and nuts waffle cone. Pretty much the only flavors I do love by Haagen Dazs is strawberry and chocolate peanut butter. Yes it is over priced and all yes there are better ice cream parlors, buy every once a while this place does the job. It's nothing I think about every day but from instead more like from time to time. The service has improved here. I remember last time I came here I wanted to smash one of the guys head into the wall, but the people here were very attentive and friendly.

RUDEST ATTITUDE, ALEXAS GIVE ME DIRTY LOOK, SAID "CAN YOU SEE WE WERE BUSY?" FINGER IN THE ICE CREAM.... GROSS. Worst experience ever. Wait in line for 10mins, it's super hot inside, got to my turn, we were standing right front the cash register waiting for one of the them to come help to take the order, ALEXAS on his name tag, get to the the register next to us, which this register was taking order for the yogurt I thought was only for yogurt, start asking the people behind us, taking their orders. After he finish, I said we were here 1st, can anyone take our order? He give a me a dirty look, and told me "can you see we are busy?" And walked away, rudest attitude every see. Maybe it's good we didn't get this guy, he was making order for others seeing him sticking finger in ice cream, it was gross. Guess they don't care.

If any Haagen dazs had my favorite flavors it's a win for me. This store is small and combined with a frozen yogurt store. One star knocked off for one employee having to help out 4 customers when I was in there. People can get yogurt, ice cream, ice cream sammiches, smoothies... how do you expect one person to be able to do all of that with a line. I swear all the customers in there with me ordered something different. The guy was chill though. I tried their brownie ice cream sammich with midnight cookies and cream ice cream. I actually liked it a lot because I like chewy cookies and it was perfect. The ice cream melted really fast and it would squeeze out the sides.. probably better to eat it with a spoon.

Not the best experience with this location. How they advertise is for small cup or cone of ice cream is $6.95 or something around it. I ordered 2 small cones, when I saw I paid for $18 for 2 small cones, I realized they added the cones as "extra", so they charged me for $4 extra! When I asked for that, the cashier apologized. So what? Is that it? Will they be fine with that? Will they fix it? No further information. It was crowded so I didn't bother to go back and argue. Just stay away! I believe the customer ratings speak much about this business.

Old school ice cream isn't dead yet! Next to the Ferris wheel in the Spectrum, this hagen daz will send you into a hagen daze with their old school sugary ice creams plus waffle cones. If you're a cheap movie, you can buy a cone here for a buck plus and then get ice cream from yogurt land for a two buck ice cream cone! If you're rich, get a cone for 7 bucks and enjoy your baller status lick by lick!

Tried to buy an ice cream with a Groupon I had purchased for "$5 off food and drink." The server said her manager made a rule that the deal was only valid on a large ice cream, which was overpriced and canceled out the discount. This rule was not mentioned anywhere in the terms and conditions or in the store. The ice cream itself was too soft, with soggy bits of cone mixed in. I won't be going back.

It is a very bad experience with worst ever customer service. We ordered a cake and hope to have the specific flavors and wishing to our friend. Order placed couple days ahead and does not wait until 10:30am to call us and just told us it was not prepared. Our pick up time was 11am and we were on the way to pick up already. There is no apologies and no compensation. They told us they just don't make it. The worker in store 1/8 12-12:30pm told us that we need to call to order when you have an online website that asked us to fully pay for our order. There is order confirmation. I don't think it's an excuse to not to make the order at all especially you received and accepted the order. The workers were impolite and deny to provide any information and kept putting the fault on us. Will not come back again.

Worst customer service ever ,that Asian worker is very disrespectful with no manners and bad attitude . I don't understand how business owners hire people like that.

i went in for ice cream. there was a hair in my ice cream so i went back and showed the lady and she said i was crazy and grabbed the ice cream out of my hand and scratched me while doing it. the hair looked like animal hair. luckily got a refund but i've never received aggressive costumer service. beware of silvia.

3-4 stars. Busy on a Sunday. Definitely the best vanilla ice cream. Most flavors are good. Haven't been here in a while and they now have a frozen yogurt section (closed due to pandemic) and smoothies.

Several years ago, when I first tried Haagen-Dazs ice cream, I thought - this is some freaking crazy good Danish ice cream. Recently, I found out that Haagen-Dazs was based out of Bronx, New York in the early 1960's by a Jewish couple from Poland. Co-Founders Reuben and Rose Mattus invented the Danish sounding business name as a tribute to Denmark's noteworthy treatment of Jews during World War II. Starting with three flavors -Vanilla, Chocolate, and Coffee, the company is now operated by General Mills and is a global phenomenon that franchises all over the US and in 50 countries. They also produce fine quality ice cream bars, ice cream cakes, sorbet, frozen yogurt, and gelato. This Haagen-Dazs Shop is a small store at the Irvine Spectrum, right near the Ferris Wheel. I have to admit that the prices are a bit over the top. Almost, 4 bones for an average sized ball of ice cream. I know this is a popular outdoor mall, but it's quite expensive compared to the other dessert options nearby. However, I'm a fool when it comes to their Coffee ice cream. I think it's one of the best around. I also highly recommend their Green Tea ice cream and Mango sorbet. Both are quite pleasant. As an added suggestion, I now purchase my Haagen-Dazs ice cream at my neighborhood Wal-Mart and keep it regularly stocked for the kiddies at home. OK, I know how some you feel about the largest corporation in the universe, but they sell their 14 fl oz containers for around $3.50. That's about what you pay for a scoop at this Irvine Spectrum location. Go figure. A MOMENT ON THE LIPS, IS A LIFETIME ON THE HIPS Why does Haagen-Dazs ice cream taste so amazing? Not only do they use the finest and purest ingredients, you'll notice that it's quite dense and firm. That's because they use very little air during the manufacturing process, keeping the ice cream at 0 degrees Fahrenheit, while using no stabilizers other than egg yolk. In addition, using all that butterfat content makes the ice cream mouthwatering and in some way, simply dangerous when consumed in large quantities. Wouldn't you agree?

They have the same flavors in the ice cream aisle at Ralph's for the same price you'd pay here for a scoop. The customer service isn't that good either. I was waiting in line for a while, and about to get skipped because the guy behind the counter wasn't paying attention. I wouldn't recommend getting more than a scoop of gelato, because I ordered 2 different flavors and it was just too much. Could not finish it. Anyway, other than that, the store is clean, as you'd expect.

Häagen-Dazs- irvine spectrum has the worst customer service I experienced , the rudest cashier named Sylvia who was helping lady in front of us, she kept yelling " anything else" more than 7 times , so annoying and in rush To go to next customer!!!! I will never go back to that Place ever, her negative vibration is all over. STAY AWAY FROM THEM PLEASE!!!!

In my book, ice cream doesn't get much better than Haagen Dazs! The taste is always good and distinct, regardless of what flavor you get. The consistency of the texture is difficult to top--it's always creamy and smooth :-) This location at Irvine Spectrum is nicely suited for Haagen-Dazs - you can walk in the sun while you scarf down some of the best ice cream anywhere! Whenever I stop by Irvine Spectrum, I almost always stop by this store. I usually go for the milkshakes or one of the flavors that are hard to find in the stores (such as Baileys Irish Cream) in a sugar cone. The Baileys specialty shake is also good here. They do not carry all the Haagen Dazs flavors at this shop, but you are likely to find a flavor you'll enjoy. Dulce de leche is always good, as is chocolate.

Haagen-Dazs is delicious ice cream. It's creamy and rich and full of flavor. It's also more expensive than other options so it tends to be more of treat for me than other ice cream shops. But there is one big downside to this location. Speed. It's always a slow moving line and that's mostly because the employees just take their time. That's both a blessing and a curse. When it's your time, it feels like you're getting good service. But when you're in line, it just seems like the employees are doing anything to not get to you. So, if you're in the mood for a treat and aren't in a rush, then by all means. This is your spot! But if you're in a rush, then you might want to move along.

Bought a strawberry milkshake. Milk or ice cream must have been old. Got food poisoning from it. Buyer beware.

We are frequent patrons of this location, regardless of staff attitude in the past. The tipping point today was being denied a milk shake because they 'are preparing to close' ... 30 minutes before they're supposed to close. Nothing posted stating 'shakes not available' or anything like that. No hot fudge for sundaes, either. I understand making general preparations prior to close, but not something that results in the removal of standard items from the menu. The employees' response was 'business as usual'; no apologies. I'll take my $25 for the family's 4 single scoops somewhere else next time.

Love the ice cream! Favorite flavor has always been midnight cookies and cream. It is basically regular cookies and cream, but made in chocolate ice cream. Tastes great every time! Super creamy -- perfect texture for ice cream. Great location right next to the giant ferris wheel. It's fun to grab ice cream and sit by the large lawn before walking around the Irvine Spectrum.
