I ordered sopes and taco! Meat marinated perfectly. The service is awesome. Chef patiently explained what’s in their food. It’s dinning in the street but well cleaned environment. The meal made my day! Highly recommended!

I have had burritos all across Los Angeles. I’ve had food trucks. I’ve had different authentic Mexican restaurants as they say they are. But without a doubt this place is the best burrito I’ve ever had in my life. The chicken was good and grilled correctly no fat the onions and the beans were in great proportion and I have gotten it twice already in a week just because it is so darn good so definitely order food from here !

Google
You can read this review, but I’d just go eat there! My wife found this as a lunch on the was to Pasadena. I was skeptical but satisfied! I went with the el pastor tacos and they are amazing! My wife went with the California burrito and it was so big she couldn’t finish it. Staff was great and super helpful. We ordered at the window and ate outside.

Google
If you're looking for authentic street style tacos and incredible Mexican cuisine, look no further! Luis and his awesome team are killing it at Habanero Mexican Grill! I gave it 5 stars for atmosphere (although Ive never eaten inside) because of Luis. This owner/operator is the real deal! Genuine and seriously committed to being the best he can be! I highly recommend! Thanks again for my tacos brother 🙏

Google
The food is good and the portions are quite large, but my only concern is that the cashiers need to make sure they’re asking the customer if they want salsa. I know it comes with some pickled vegetables, but I wanted salsa for my burrito and I didn’t get any so when I got home, I needed to add some and I didn’t even have any at home so just a little bit more better communication is what I’m noticing always make sure that the customer has an option of red or green salsa to enhance their entrée that they’re great and I will go back

Google
Man…this place is top notch…flew in from St. Louis and stopped in…people are fantastic and the food is SO GOOD. 6 stars and will go every time I fly into Burbank.

Google
This is the first 5-star Mexican restaurant I've ever been to in the valley. The food is amazing! Everything is freshly made and made fast. There is only outside seating, which is better than sitting inside. Don't feel like getting off the car. No problem, they have a drive-thru. Open early at 7am for breakfast and open late till 10 pm. Thank you for the great experience. I will be back very soon! Oh, and the Horchata, Soo good!

Google
Driving by you wouldn't be able tell that this place is like a cave of wonders... of flavors,it's such a small location that you can miss it easily, luckily for me my windows were rilled down and i caught that intoxicating whiff of pungent goodness. I'd definitely recommend to stop by for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Yelp
THIS IS THE MEXICAN PLACE I'VE BEEN SEARCHING FOR. Habanero is a hidden gem. The place is small, cute and unassuming but do not be fooled! This is serious fresh, authentic, and perfectly flavored food (not salty or greasy.) My husband and I agree that Habanero is better than most sit down Mexican places in the areas, plus the service is top notch. Also as a toddler mom, the drive thru is SO convenient. I hope this place stays in business for a long long time. Grande Macho Burrito is a BEAST. When I opened my to go box I was shocked by its size. It could easily be 2 or 3 meals, and the carne asada is flavorful and juicy. If you're looking for warm cozy Mexican food, this is it. We've also tried the carnitas burrito, California burrito and carne asada plate. The regular burritos were underwhelming compared to the grande macho burrito, but still great. Would highly recommend the carne asada here. As soon as I had their food I told everyone in the neighborhood about it because I HOPE IT STAYS IN BUSINESS!!! Seriously go check it out you won't be disappointed!!

Yelp
It was okay-- stopped by on a whim for lunch since it smelled good-- they got our order wrong/drive through took a while to place the order, and service wasn't the best. Food was okay, but hard to tell since didn't get correct order. Also not the cheapest for what it is

Yelp
The food is amazing!! We ordered take out and did not realize the portion sizes are amazing as well, so we invited our neighbors over to share! I can't wait to visit the restaurant and enjoy this incredible food again.

Yelp
Very excellent Mexican food deliciousness at this wonderful place. I had a hard time finding the food I'd become accustomed to in San Diego once I moved to Burbank. It's easy to roll around and find some carne asada at plenty of places but guess what, the carne asada I find at fast food type establishments here tends,so often, to have knots of fat in it or is hard as a rock. At Habanero on Victory I have been extremely pleased with the quality, texture and flavor of the carne asada in particular and all the food that I've tried in general. They even have those carrots with jalapenos and lime in bags as I love. This is a place where the owner obviously takes pride in his food, selecting all of the finest ingredients. Terrific job Habenero As one finds in San Diego, do I wish to see this perfect drive-thru turn 24 hours and save Burbank late night? That would be amazing!

Yelp
Was craving Mexican food after a week long business trip. Didn't want to fight the Friday LA traffic after the wife picked me up from Burbank airport so just drove around and found this place. I'm glad we did! The service was great, food came out within 15 minutes and it was super tasty! I had the carne asada burrito and my wife had tacos which was even better. I would highly recommend this spot and I'll probably try it again after my next business trip. No inside seating, just outside FYI.

Yelp
Today, we were sadly disappointed. I have been craving and raving about the chile verde wet burrito for weeks, and my friend and I finally decided to share one for lunch. Our lunch was nothing of what we expected. We ordered a chile verde wet burrito. We received a chile relleno wet burrito. No meat. Just rice, beans, and a chile stuffed with cheese. $20 for all carbs, and a sliver of protein. Perhaps we'll try again, but not anytime soon.

Yelp
They have a drive thru which off the bat is a major plus. Always looking for a solid breakfast burrito and I WILL definitely be coming back when the BB cravings hit. I ordered the Bacon Breakfast Burrito ($13) and it came with loads of crispy bacon bits, beans, cheese, eggs, and diced potatoes. The beans tasted fresh and didn't have the gross canned taste and dry texture... like they have been heated up time and time again. The gave a green mild salsa that had a good taste and a spicy red one. I enjoyed both. The burrito was very filling and I am not heading towards a food coma. I would like to try the MACHACA Breakfast burrito next which comes with shredded beef, tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños. All and all, no complaints here.

Yelp
What can I say? I love the food here. It's restaurant quality Mexican food with the convenience of a drive-thru. As such, it doesn't have a fancy dining room or anything but what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for in food and in service. Todays experience was an interesting and kind of funny one. I was in a rush and placed an order to go online so I could just drive through to pick it up (normally if you place an order at the drive-thru you have to wait because they make the food fresh to order). When I arrived to pick up my order they had no idea what I was talking about. They said they don't take orders online and asked to see the confirmation on my phone. After a little research on their part they were able to confirm that I did indeed place an order with them (through Square). They had just never received an online order before. They were very nice about, thanked me, and got to work preparing my order immediately. In the end we all had a good laugh, I got my food, and they thanked me for my order (and probably my patience too. LOL). The people at Habanero Grill are so friendly and the food is so good. If you haven't tried it yet, get yourself over there. :-)

Yelp
I ordered two Tacos, one Pastor and one Carnitas. I liked that it came with Tortilla chips and I also like the design of the paper. But the meat was a little over cooked and it was dry in my opinion. I had to eat it with salsa. Although the pork wasn't up to par, the service there was good. One of the workers complimented my jean jacket. That was nice.

Yelp
Ok, so I was skeptical about this corner taco stand because the other establishments there before were mediocre at best. However, my skepticism has flown out the window because the tacos were SO good! I ordered the fish tacos and the tacos patatas. Let me describe the tacos de patatas first because the a la carte order is more like an entree! The taco is hard shell (clearly fried in-house) filled with seasoned potato mash and topped with fresh cabbage, onions, and cilantro. Delicious. The fish tacos were lightly battered white fish that came in soft corn tortillas and topped again, with fresh cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro, and onions. The best thing is the tangy, spicy, sweet cream drizzled over the vegetables. The fish tacos were so good, I felt sad eating the last bite. There's a walk up order window and a drive through. I went to the walk up window and the servers were nice. In fact, they walked my order to me in the seating area. If you're in Burbank and you're in Victory and Buena Vista, make it a point to stop and get tacos. I promise you won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I came for dinner and I had tripa and carnitas tacos and I enjoyed it very much!! The asada sope was really good. I love sope so anytime I can have a chance to order it I will! Everything I had here reminded me of going to a taco truck in LA. Orders come with chips and salsa rojo (spicy) & salsa verda (mild) I will absolutely come here more often.

Yelp
My husband and daughter love this place so I really had to try it. My vegetarian husband lives by their bean and cheese burrito and also raves about their salsa verde. I'm a veggie burrito gal, so that bad to be ordered. The dudes that work this joint are cool and accommodate when asked with a smile. I had no problems asking for extra salsa verde. My order came out in a good amount of time also. This is a tiny place with a few places to sit and eat outside, there's also a drive thru, which I'll have to try out next time. There is street parking and there's a lot behind the place to park. I did enjoy my veggie burrito, but next time I'm ordering it with no lettuce. This burrito was 75% lettuce and it watered the beans down immensely. Add points because I got chips with my order. I love me some chips and salsa all day everyday. The salsa verde was so so good, just the right amount of heat with lots of flavor. All in all this was a great experience. I'm surprised there isn't a line here every time I drive by. They have good food! I did see a picture of a cheeseburger and fries, but I'm not seeing those items on their menu. If it's available I'd love to see that menu because I do love cheeseburgers. Yes I will come back to order my veggie burrito sans lettuce or to try something new!

Yelp
Chilaquiles green sauce, served with two eggs, rice, and beans. The Chilaquiles are good. The beans were slightly undercooked, and the rice wasn't flavorful. I would come back and try the food here again, just not the rice and beans.
google avatar

Myra M.

Yelp
Service was good , she helps us right away ! Tocos alpastor was chilaquilesss sad I couldn't finish the chilaquiles ( FYI A plate can FEED two people) !!!! For less 32$ def coming backkk!!!
google avatar

Jonas A.

Yelp
The wet birria burrito was exceptional in every way. It was seasoned perfectly as it was, and both the green and red salsas had a medium low spice level. The place didn't seem to be particularly busy, but it took 20 minutes to get my food after ordering from the counter. For that reason alone, I'd never suggest trying the drive-thru window. There is shaded outdoor picnic bench seating with umbrellas and no indoor seating.
google avatar

Jack P.

Yelp
I definitely do not recommend the burger here. It was soggy, falling apart and it was undercooked. The random carrot pickles this burger came with were also pretty nasty. I'm scared to try the rest of their food honestly I was h
google avatar

Chandra H.

Yelp
Great service, portion and the Grande Macho burrito came with two salsas and chips, the Haberno was really good! Very fresh and cooked well. It's better price and food than a sit down restaurant.
google avatar

Maribel R.

Yelp
Delicious tacos! Ordered tacos for a company potluck. Everyone love them! Make sure to check the latest updated prices on website not the menu images.

Justin N.

Yelp
10/10. Pastor taco and California burrito were soooooo good. Decent prices. Fast service and super nice staff. Definitely going to be my go to place

P M.

Yelp
What happened to this place? The workers/owners are different. The quality is crap! Ordered chicken tacos in the drive thru and when I got home I noticed the meat was rotten. Why the hell would you sell that. I do not recommend this place to anyone!

Yelp
I was across the street today and decided to give Habanero Mexican Grill a try for a Breakfast Burrito. I appreciated that they have a drive through too. I enjoyed the fact that this burrito also had beans together with the standard potatoes, cheese, and scrambled eggs. This time I tried the bacon but will be back to try out the other options, chorizo, machaca (shredded beef) among others. The burrito came with one green and one red sauce (Habanero?) and chips. The red sauce brings the heat. I cut the burrito in half and tried both salsas, although I like heat, I preferred the more subtle heat of the green salsa. A great burrito, freshly made and full of flavor. I'll be back for another.
google avatar

Michele D.

Yelp
I went for the first time today and had the Asada torta special. The torta was large enough for two meals and the fries were crisp and delicious. Looking forward to going back.

Yelp
It's always nice being one of the first customers to welcome a new business to the Burbank community. Habanero Mexican Grill has taken over the spot formerly occupied by Steve's Burgers and Blazin Burgers. They are located on Victory , directly behind Yogurtland. There is a drive-thru and a couple tables outside, but I don't think there is indoor seating. I walked up to the front window and started looking over the giant menu. Everything looks to be reasonably priced. I decided to keep it simple and order the street asada tacos combo plate. The friendly cashier rang me up and my meal was ready in a short time. Everything was delicious. The asada was flavorful and good quality. The rice and beans were well balanced, soft but not mushy . My meal also came with restaurant quality chips and salsa. I loved the flavor of the green sauce. Green is for us wimps that don't like spicy. But they also offer spicy red salsa. There is a parking lot in back, but also plenty of street parking. It's their Grand Opening so not really sure of their hours .
google avatar

Trina E.

Yelp
Stopped here on a Saturday night since I'd heard good things and they have a drive through! I only ordered three street tacos but they were delicious!! I will be back glad to have good restaurant quality at a local drive through.

Ken D.

Yelp
Absolutely the worst food ever. Service for a window store is not good. Do not go ! Go somewhere else this is really not good food at all
google avatar

Yelp
Muy buena comida de buena calidad y sobre todo muy hamables y And also the menu is very extensive
google avatar

Yelp
This place is so good! They have the r best customer service as well. Love that they have a drive thru

Nhl M.

Yelp
This is the best fast food I have ever had in my life. I learned about this place from the YouTuber Airrack and I wanted to try it. I think I'll come here every single day!

Papo I.

Yelp
The bacon breakfast burrito was delicious! I've been on the hunt for a really good breakfast burrito place and I think this is the place. It was a huge and heavy burrito, well worth the price. So much bacon and it was really tasty! Service was excellent! Will definitely come back to try more of their food.
google avatar

Kirk G.

Yelp
Second time here and looking forward to exploring the menu further. Both visits were highlighted by the most outstanding and friendly service. Had the fish burrito which was good but not likely a popular or staple dish. My wife has them add el pastor to the bean and cheese burrito. No rice. Add onion and cilantro. It's delicious! The asada burrito was very good as well and both salsas are good but the green is my favorite which isn't normally the case. When the staff is as nice as they are, it makes us want to come back and find our favorite dish. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

Theo K.

Yelp
Peak mexican food, super duper good the service was amazing and the owners were super nice, way better the Taco bell and should definely be put on the map.
google avatar

Mark P.

Yelp
Amazing shrimp burrito! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. Came with fresh chips and salsa. Ooh the more I eat this burrito the more I highly recommend it. The rest around is hyped. Service took a few minutes because they definitely made it from scratch. Well , do you cook? It takes a few minutes to make some good home made food. Juicy af, and CHEAP!! Get some!
google avatar

Adam P.

Yelp
Insanely delicious food. Parking is available on the street with a small lot behind the restaurant. There were four tables outside for seating. Fast and friendly service. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I just had a California burrito from Habanero and I'm still in shock by how good it was. The place seems to be run by a husband/wife combo and they're both extremely friendly and thoughtful (husband was cooking and wanted to give me extra sauce and his wife offered up the drive through option instead of ordering at the counter because it was raining). I've had my fair share of California burritos (spent a lot of time in SD and LA), but this Habanero version truly stands out because of the unique treatment of the fries. At a baseline, standard fare fries are already a bit of a cheat code, but the "fries" in the California burrito here went above and beyond. I would say the fries here reminded me of twice fried potatoes (amazing crunch on the exterior, pillowy soft interior). They're also different in the sense that the fries are seemingly cut up into smaller pieces, so they are essentially bite size chunks of crispy goodness. Aside from the fries, the carne Asada, guacamole, sour cream and tortilla were all excellent. They also have two hot sauces, which are both great (really spicy red and a milder green/black). I'll definitely be back!

Rebecca A.

Yelp
Great restaurant, always amazing food. Drive thru is also convenient and service is quick. In a great location with good environment as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Pleasant surprise!!! Went to grab some breakfast burritos for our workers. Took a chance and stopped at HMG. Glad I did. The food is fresh and delicious. Highly recommend that you give them a try.

Michael C.

Yelp
I've been here before it's been slow but tonight was wild. What could you improve? Take note of who ordered first regardless of any circumstances. Tonight was more packed than usual but the people who ordered on foot were ignored for a long time. They told me 20 minutes for my order. I was fine with that. 20 minutes past. But they haven't started it yet. Others were standing around too but cars got their food quickly. So go through drive through if you want to skip the line. Had to wait an extra 30 minutes.

Amanda C.

Yelp
I did the potato tacos and asada. It was amazing! All the salsas are flavorable, and the meat is so tender. They've made a fan today. I had it via UberEats and it came very hot and well packed.

Mariano D.

Yelp
Always providing great customer service while serving delicious food! Drive thru service is amazing too when you're on a time crunch.
google avatar

Gavin J.

Yelp
Burbank finally has a drive through Mexican restaurant that backs it up with some amazing take away food & service Drive through is great and there is also dining in available at tables under umbrellas outside There is parking at rear and on the street and of course the drive through Great family owned and run business that deserves to do well given the enthusiasm to make sure every customer leaves happy and the freshness and quality of the food Definitely worth a try
google avatar

Jon N.

Yelp
Funky little drive-thru take-out spot with some limited outdoor seating. It's not much to look at, but the woman at the window was super friendly and the food was good. Many different choices are available and all sound pretty tasty. Points off for menu description not matching the items. We got the Regular Carnitas Burrito which states that it comes with "choice of meat, beans, onions and cilantro." Nothing about rice which neither of us wanted, but half of the burrito was rice. It was good, but we didn't want it and thought it wasn't included so, word to the wise, make sure to ask what all comes on the burrito even if the menu states it. We'd go back and I'd recommend.
google avatar

Karla N.

Yelp
So glad I found this spot! My husband and I decided to go take a run to a very busy breakfast spot across the street. When we arrived at our original destination there was still an hour and a half wait. There's no way we were going to wait that long! By sheer luck this spot was open and across the street; best decision ever to go an try it out. The breakfast burritos are delicious! The beans are so goooood! The Chorizo con Papas breakfast is so tasty and filling. The coffee is nice! This is our new go-to spot for Saturday mornings after our run. The service is also very nice! Very kind staff. It's so pleasant to sit outside and enjoy our meal. Such an good find! And honestly, we still haven't tried the busy restaurant.
google avatar

Bobby G.

Yelp
The food was GREAT!! I am pretty picky when it comes to Mexican food as I grew up eating truly authentic Mexican. My test for Mex spots is trying the closest to authentic. The Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Tripas, and Cabeza were flavorful. I WILL be going back SOON! P.S. They DO need a Taco Tuesday special.

Jose H.

Yelp
The best TAKE-OUT Mexican Food in Burbank. They have the traditional burritos, tacos, carne asada etc. But something you don't find often is Tacos de Papa (3pc) prepared with a generous slab of carne asada as a topper....mmmm! Luis and Edith are the owner operators who are kind and joyful. I am especially happy they opened for business only two blocks from my house AND they have a DRIVE-Thru! Probably the last drive thru in Burbank as the city has tightened restrictions on them. Go visit and tell them their "favorite" customer Jose sent you!!
google avatar

Ray M.

Yelp
Sorry but, It was great when they first got here to Burbank. Now it's just ok. I was waiting outside in the cold. Cashier didn't even tell me she will be minute. No acknowledgement. Guy cooking, saw me, still nothing. Finally after 4+ minutes she turns and asks what would we like to order. 2 wet burritos. 25 minutes later. According to my phone time via Apple Pay,food was ready. We were starving. We had the big wet burrito. Dry inside, too much lettuce. No flavor, asada was dry and my chicken was like hard nuggets. To top all off, there is a sign that prices are going up on February 7th. They have a lot to learn if they want to stay open. I'm a corporate trainer. Unfortunately my predictions usually come true when I see a concerned in a business operating like this.. They must raise their standards to gain customers, increase customer satisfaction and loyalty inorder to exist in this type of business. Do something to wow each customer. Be distinguished. Think what your customers are thinking and correct your issues. Otherwise we may see another business occupy your store.

Natalie C.

Yelp
Looking for delicious Mexican Food- this is the SPOT! Highly recommend their entire menu, we love the service and the great family that cooks and serves such great food. Do not hesitate, this place is the BEST!

Yelp
If you don't know about this place now, you do! Great little spot. I've never had a bad meal here. The tacos are awesome, the enchiladas are great everything I've had is amazing. Burbank's best kept secret.
