I really enjoyed the burrito 🌯 with no meat here. It was a perfect lunch for me! The melon 🍈 juice drink was good as well. I appreciate the service here. The hot sauce from here was ok too. I wonder if the habanero chile was inside the hot sauce that they gave me because I could not taste its spice. I asked one of the cashier if they gave me habanero sauce but the hot sauce did not taste like habanero hot sauce 🙁. But the hot sauce was ok 😄😊. They have a restroom available here and limited seats and tables to eat. They have a quick drive thru.

Excellent and fresh Mexican foods. Friendly service, quick in the drive thru. Good value. BREAKFAST BURRITOS SERVED ALL DAY.

The food here is great and has an authentic homemade taste to it. Their breakfast burritos are some of the best around. Another favorite is the chilaquiles plate. Cant go wrong here with anything from the menu. The staff was also friendly and the food didnt take long to receive. One of the best spots around for authentic Mexican food.

This is my first time being here and I would come back again. There stake burrito was so good there chicken taco was not dry but flavorful. All in all great experience

This is a nice fast-casual Mexican spot in San Gabriel. The drive-thru is fast and the food is delicious and authentic. I got two Bean & Cheese Burritos and they were both hot n fresh! Each entree also comes with a side of chips and hot sauce. They have a small parking lot if you wish to dine at their patio tables.

Food there is really delicious and wait is short compared to other areas like McDonalds.Close to Arcadia,Pasadena,Temple City,and San Gabriel.Highly recomend coming here.

Everything is always great here but the one thing I do not like is I never get a descriptive copy of a receipt ever I hope management reads this because customers like to see what they're buying including myself being in the restaurant industry I want to know details Thank you

I wish I had remembered to take a picture of my burrito, but I also almost forgot to breathe as I was scarfing the damn thing down my burrito hole. I had the all-meat carne asada burrito with nothing but cilantro and onions and extra hot sauce. He asked me if I wanted red or green, and I just told him I wanted the hottest. It was just about the best burrito I've ever had. I didn't get any weird pieces of gristle or bone in the meat and it was seasoned perfectly. I'll be back!

We just moved into the neighborhood and decided to try Habanero for breakfast we were surprised how amazing their food tasted and quick service they offered! I totally recommend it and we will be back to try other plates.

I finally was able to get a plate from this spot! I tried the chicken fajitas and the pollo adobado plates! So delicious and tasty! Ingredients are on point nothing is lacking! There is no inside seating all the tables are outside under a roof. Very big long spacious tables and benches. Customer service is A1 and the food comes out at the drop of a hat!! Please stop by and try it out! They do have drive through as well

TL;DR: Really enjoyed the sausage breakfast burrito the first time, but the bacon breakfast burrito wasn't cooked as well on another visit. Hasn't been consistent. Yearning for more? 1/2 A family member surprised me with a sausage breakfast burrito from here one morning and it was delicious. The second time they brought the bacon breakfast burrito, but the bacon wasn't cooked very well and it had beans. I hate beans in my burritos, so I would definitely remove them next time. Expenses: 1/1 Burritos are about ~9 bucks which is fair when it is prepared well like it was on the sausage burrito. Location: 1/1 Has drive-thru, indoor and outdoor seating and a small public parking lot. Unsure if a cash only place as I haven't been here myself. Possibility of a Future Visit & Recommendation: 1/1 I'd definitely grab a breakfast burrito from here if I were in the area, although I am hesitant to recommend this place if you live far away due to the inconsistency issue. If you're feeling lucky, give it a shot. I thought it was one of the better breakfast burritos I've had the first time I tried it.

My kids and I tried the birria burrito and it was hearty and tasty. The meat was tender and juicy and the portion size was fulfilling. This is a burrito you likely have to eat with a knife and fork since the meat is wet and moist which breaks down the tortilla quickly. Pretty decent value also.

I'm usually a taco / cabeza girlie, but the Chorizo Burrito here.. yes, yes, YES. I love that they have a drive thru which is perfect for grabbing a breakfast burrito when you don't have the energy to change out of your jammies in the morning, or when you have the munchies late at night and just don't want to interact with people. Tip: Bring cash if you don't want to pay the $0.50 credit card fee.

Damn it, why are the workers so stingy here? I asked for more onions They gave me a little bit, and asked from our sauce they didn't give me any extra, and we ordered two plates they gave us one utensil. Other than the horrible service, the food is delicious!

No indoor dining and serves most of its customer through drive thru, so patiences in key. You can find this building painted in orange and a sign that reads Haberno. Food was not bad but the size of it could be bigger. Not sure how to justify a $11 dollar breakfast burrito that could be eating in 8 bites and the quality of a albertos drive thru.

The breakfast burrito is everything it should be. Packed with meat, eggs and cheese. Also beans, but I opted out. Not overpacked will fillers like potatoes like other places. Added plus of being open early at 6 and having a drive through with fast service. Great spot to hit up before work. Small parking lot in the back.

This has always been one of my favorite places to eat. Their Pozole is highly recommended, it's the only place I will eat pozole that hasn't been made at home or by a family member. Their Birria, asada plate with potato tacos, and the breakfast burrito are all great. But get the POZOLE! Trust me you won't regret it.

If you like boiled fries this is the spot for you. If your not gonna make the food fresh just take it off the menu please.

Great food, my Boyfriend and I enjoyed Habanero Mexican Grill here tonight! Their food is delicious! You need to try it for yourself. We sat in our car and enjoyed our food. We noticed their drive-thru was always busy with customers! You'll want to check it out.

I have not been at Habanero's for a while because it got expensive for a non restaurant.. I have a menu but I have not been paying attention until tonight.. I ordered a carne asada taco salad and the Price on the menu was $8.99 and tonight it was $13.99.. Big price increase. $5.00. It is good but it is just too expensive for a drive through!!

Extremely overpriced for bland quality food. $23 dollars for a small chicken torta and 3 tacos. You're better off going to one of the many taco trucks around the area.

The menu is overwhelming. That being the case the guys are not on to of it. We ordered 5 tacos and a Chile relleno plate. Halfway home we find out we are missing 3 tacos. We went back and the guy said he did not charge us for the three tacos. So I paid $7 and left. Mediocre. At best. Better tacos by driving up to tacos el pollo at Colorado and Rosemead. The Chile relleno? Not cooked that well drenched in sauce. 1 relleno. They should give you a receipt. Live and learn.

Conveniently Found this place open at 6:30 am . I checked reviews for it and they all seem to be pretty good, so I decided to give them a try. The place is a nice corner location that looks pretty clean and has a large menu. The staff is very friendly. It was all good until I ate . I tried their tacos and they had everything that goes with a taco, salsa, onion, cilantro, ect but the meat was very dry and flavorless.I also noticed that their prices are not up to date online. They went up significantly. I would probably go back to try something else only because of the positive things I already said but definitely not for tacos.

I tried the California burrito, carne asada fries and fish taco and wasn't impressed with anything. The food here was all meh. Nothing stands out as being bad or good. The California burrito was the best out of what I tried and that was okay but not that great. There are so many other places where you can get much better Mexican food. I had always passed by this place while driving and had been curious to try it. Now that I've tried it, I probably wouldn't come back. The parking lot in the back is bigger than I expected and there is lots of street parking available.

First time trying this place. Ordered the asada grande macho burrito and asada soft taco & asada sopes combo plate. Both were very meh. It lacked flavor and the meats weren't that good. Good thing is this place have a drive-thru or sit down option. Very small parking lot though.

Park on the residential side streets instead of their parking lot. You'll thank me later. This shack offers walk up and drive thru orders. It's super busy during lunch rush, so try to avoid that timeframe if you can. Food is good. I usually order the Carne Asada Special with Potato Tacos and a cup of horchata. Hardly greasy is what I initially noticed. A plus in my books because it's less messy to devour. Meat is flavorful and tacos are crispy; fried just right.

I usually don't do this and I frequent here quite often but this is not an isolated incident. I don't know if it's the rush or just a blatant disregard for paying attention really but nonetheless, I'd just like to mention that I usually always order a breakfast burrito and I'd say about three out of 10 now have had egg shells in it. I've learned from experience with cooking myself that not every time can you get an eggshell out but when one puts forth a valiant effort anything is possible and if I was serving it to the community and not inside my own house I definitely make sure that these types of errors aren't made.

Prices say 11.99ea for the items I ordered. I was charged $33 because "prices have gone up". Maybe use that extra money you're charging to update your goddamn menu boards. Nachos had a tiny dollop of 'guacamole', thin drizzle of sour cream. I used to like this place but it now sucks. I'll go to pepes or chanos.

I ordered a cabeza and tripas burrito, but they scooped so much grease in it that they couldn't wrap it; so, they put it in a container. The burrito was so greasy it was difficult to eat. First I couldn't even pick it up because the Tortilla was soggy. So I decided to use a fork to just eat the inside, but it was all drenched in the grease. Of course these meats have higher fat content, but I'm taking about copious amounts of grease!!!!!! Rather not risk it next time with this place yuck

Watch out!!! Review your receipts vs. prices posted outside this restaurant drive through I called back to review with Janet and sure enough i was charged wrongly. Now she wants me to go back and get the amount over charged? Not a lot of $ but the principle is the "tackling on" Assuming customers will never review their receipts. NOT coming back here again. Ask for an ITEMIZED receipt. I did ask and I got a Total $ Tsk tsk tsk

This was a delicious Carne Asada Mucho burrito. They are fast and polite. Their menu is pretty hog too, so if you're hungry, you better know what you want before you get there. Lol I really don't think you can go wrong with anything that they have. It all looks good and they are conveniently located right off the street. They have a walk up or a drive thru.

Amazing price. Amazing service. Food was spectacular. Overall amazing place. It doesn't have all the fancy details of a 5 star gourmet restaurant but it is clean welcoming and a favorite place to eat.

Stingy and shady with sauces. I always come here for breakfast burritos. I ordered one today and asked specifically was salsa verde. Worker told me ok that's an extra charge. I get my bag and there's only ONE sauce in the bag. So I wait and ask for another one. He said there's two in the bag and kept insisting that there was until he finally said ok here. So you're gonna charge me 50 cents for "extra" salsa but only give me one? So now your burritos don't already come with a salsa. Hate places that are stingy and shady with their sauce.

COVID-19: Social distancing is enforced at this establishment. All of the staff wears a mask. All customers are expected to wear a mask too. The staff also wear gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs via a drive through and has no outdoor seating available at the moment. They are not sanitizing in between customers. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment. Parking: They have a small parking lot. The lot gets full easily and quickly since this is a very popular establishment. Avoid coming here during the peak hours like breakfast, lunch, and dinner time. The best time to come is either right when they open or close or in the afternoon like at 3pm. Prepandemic, I usually park on the street and the walk over to the window to order. Quick service and good food. Food: Portions are massive for the cost. So I totally think it's worth my money. Love this place. Been coming here for years. I got the bacon breakfast burrito and it is so tasty. I love how the bacon is nice and crunchy in the burrito and it wasn't soggy. The breakfast burrito was nice and hot. Also, the potatoes/ hash browns in the burrito were are really tasty too! Great job! Staff: Everyone here is super friendly and awesome. Quick service. Only waited about 10 minutes in the drive through line so that I could order. Waited another 5 minutes for my food. A total of 15 minutes isn't bad at all. Worth the wait.

AND THE AWARD FOR BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO OF ALL TIME GOES TO... Seriously folks. I've eaten a lot of breakfast burritos in my lifetime but this was, hands down, the ABSOLUTE best. I instantly regretted taking that first bite because I'm trying to eat healthier and now I know I'll be craving this EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. Sausage Breakfast Burrito: this thing was thickkk in the best possible way. It was loaded with beans, eggs, thick seasoned fries, cheese, and sausage. Everything just worked so well together, the beans, fries, and cheese kept everything moist, the eggs and sausage made it breakfasty, but it didn't just taste like all the ingredients were cooked separately and dumped into a super fresh chewy tortilla. No. It tasted like all the ingredients were cooked separately and then dumped onto the grill together to be beautifully married with spices before being dumped on the best kind of tortilla. That's right folks, they don't just use your average tortilla. They use the kind of tortilla that perfectly melts onto your teeth as you take each bite but gives you that soft fluffy chew feel. Almost like mochi that's been flattened paper thin and slightly toasted on a hot pan. !BUYER BEWARE! Once you try this kind of tortilla, you'll be ruined. Regular tortillas will feel mediocre to you and you will never truly enjoy any other burrito in your life. They will all be okay or good, never spectacular or special. You have been warned. I also tried the taquitos. Nice and meaty, good crunch. They place 3 on a bed of shredded lettuce with a scoop of guac and drizzle of crema. What's absolute delish here is their habanero salsa. If you can't handle heat, you don't wanna try this. They gave me some wimpy breakfast burrito salsa that I threw out after tasting and drenched my burrito with the habanero stuff instead. I'm already planning my breakfast schedule around the restaurants operating hours. My scale is going to hate me this week LOL

I get off work a little late so it's hard to find Mexican food that's open around the time I'm off , but luckily I was able to find one right down the street from my job. Will be going more often now. The customer service was great, no complaints ! There asada sopes 10/10.

Just ordered my usual asada burrito a few nights ago and it came with the usual chips and 2 small cups of red sauce. I asked for a small cup of pico de gallo and the cashier attempted to charge me 75 cents for it when in all my past visits, it was always free and sometimes thrown in automatically. That just rubbed me the wrong way. Nevermind the fact that the price of the burrito has skyrocketed from the original $7 to $12ish dollars, but now they're trying to nickel dime me on salsa that costs MAYBE them a nickel at most! I've never been to any place that charged for basic condiments let alone a hole in the wall Mexican restaurant. The burrito was still relatively tasty, which is why I didn't give them a 1 star, but even then the quality of that has gone down a bit with it being more oily/greasy than I remember it being in the past. Will not be going out of my way to come back, plenty of better, and lower cost options out there now.

Parking: free but small, kind of difficult because it is on a busy street I ordered tripa tacos. The tacos came out BLAZING HOT which I love!!!! The tacos itself were ok. The meat wasn't crispy even after requesting it to be cooked extra long. There wasn't much seasoning either. The salsa was really the only thing that elevated the tacos. I love hot food which is why it's a thumbs up but not taste. I would not come back.

Habanero Mexican Grill is a Mexican food restaurant that serves all your Mexican food favorites. One morning, I went to order the breakfast burrito, since they have a sign that they are serving it all day. Food: Breakfast burrito with ham: It was good, but not the best I've had. The ham was the same ham that comes with your ham sandwich deli meat. Next time I'll get it with another meat. The size is pretty good and it also comes with chips and salsa. Overall, I won't come back for the breakfast burrito, but I might come back for their other goods.

Habanero Mexican Grill is one of the best spots in San Gabriel for Mexican food!!! I love how the restaurant is drive thru and you are able to get your food quickly. Definitely try the carnitas tacos that is my personal favorite! I'd recommend everyone to try this place

Horchata soooo good. Everything else lacked flavor. Birria tacos were very dry and carne asada fries were mediocre. My fish taco combo was okay and the rice and bean portions were very small. The fish tacos and potato tacos were very bland. I was disappointed.

Fast Mexican food, without compromising the taste. I've tried a few of their dishes and I am always satisfied with the taste. I love that they have a drive through as well. I love both their red and green salsa; be warned the red is spicy!

Alright so like, this place is pretty good and consistent. The Pastor here is pretty good, and their burritos are pretty large. The main reason I feel a need to write a review is that there is not a single mention that this place serves Chimichangas. I've been searching for Chimichangas for quite a while and it turns out that this place near me has had it all along, but it's lost in a sea of menu items, and no reviewer has ever talked about it, meaning it never appeared in the search results. So! The Chimichanga. The exterior is crispy, the interior is complete with your typical burrito fillings. Beans, rice, meat. If you get the plate, it comes with rice, beans and some sort of avocado sauce. It's pretty good! I personally think I like it more than their main item, the Macho Grande Burrito (which is basically a huge wet burrito). Also, their breakfast burritos are pretty solid. If I have time in the morning it's not a bad option to pickup. The beans are a little more watery than some places, but it does the trick just fine. They have a drive through or patio seating. 50 cent surcharge on credit cards. The old man who works there is a pretty friendly guy, I've seen him around for the past few years. Service is good.

Honestly, this is one of my favorite Taco Places in the 626! Why? Because it's convenient, there's a drive-thru and the food, is always good. Habanero is literally a minutes drive from my house, but has been a staple for me ever since high school. I always get the Fish Tacos, Carne Asada Tacos, All meat burritos and Agua de pina. Let me start off by saying that in my opinion, this is one of the BEST fish tacos I've ever had. Not one single ingredient makes it the best, but when it's all pulled together, it has a certain taste that just makes me happy. The fish isn't the crispiest, but I think when you pair it with the very thinly cut cabbage and the sauce, it becomes next level! The tacos themselves are good, not great. To be honest, the meat can be a bit dry and the salsa that comes with it, I recommend salsa verde. It has more flavor. The salsa rojo has heat, but that's about all it has. The All meat burrito is the same, sometimes the meat can be a little dry, so you need the salsa to wet it a bit. What I do love is the free chips that they give you. I always crumple some up and throw some in tacos. The thing that really pulls everything together is the agua de pina. It's one of the best I've ever had! It's more on the refreshing side because it's less sweet, so it actually hydrates you, yet still has that strong refreshing pineapple taste. It's not like those arrowhead flavored waters where it tastes like someone just threw fruit at the bottle and WHA LA! Fruit flavored water. The breakfast burritos are also very nice, I will sometimes order the chorizo burrito, but I get all my burritos without beans. They use pinto beans and personally I feel like the flavors crash and makes me unnecessarily full. They have $1.50 Fish tacos on Wednesdays, so if you're craving fish tacos on Wednesdays, habaneros is the place to go!

This place is better than Pee Pee down the street, but not by much. I ordered a simple asada burrito, with everything in it. First off, I understand we are accepting "Pandemic prices" for the last year or so but that doesn't give you the right to dish out a sloppy order. Let me explain. My burrito looked pregnant from the outside and looking inside, it was the "I'm too tired to roll a burrito properly" attitude. Basically, when you re-roll it, it's about 65-70% of a general sized burrito. There were only 3 people in line, so there wasn't a rush and it was 5pm, so no excuse. Not sure if you thought you got away with it, but trust me, I try to be fair in my reviews and I mostly despise when I discover "corner cutting" to save a nickel. Also, go get some customer service training for your staff, you need it desperately. They act like you knocked on their door, woke them, and asked for a burrito! Come here, if nothing is open except this place or Poo Poo's!

The service here is impeccable! Always very friendly and the outdoor seating is very nice. The good is amazing, i come here during my lunch and try something new and every plat is a HIT! price is very good as well. My go-to.

I used to go to here regular but haven't gone in a about a year. Got my regular and noticed that prices went up (which was expected) and the size of the breakfast burrito has gotten significantly smaller. What happened to you breakfast burrito. I don't even get full now.

We love Fish Taco Wednesdays! $1.90 each. (Usually $2.75 each) The fish tacos are always good, with lettuce, carrots, jalapeños & a special sauce. The other tacos are good but smaller. (If you don't like onions or cilantro, ask for plain because they're premixed.) We usually go at 1pm to avoid the long lunch hour drive thru line. Additional $0.50 charge for paying by credit card. Limited parking & outdoor tables. No indoor seating.

Four stars that Yelp has as their average is about right. Their customer sevice is pretty good and the service was fast. The food quality was just comparable to most similar places in the area. The hard tacos are not as good as elsewhere nor are their tamales. However, since a lot of other places near by do not have tamales, then at least they have them. Their nachos are better than some other places and their fish tacos are really pretty good--best item we got today. We also tried their taquitos. They were pretty comparable to other places. Their sauces were just ok. We didn't try any burritos or soft tacos. They serve a number of items for breakfast and burgers. We would consider going back and even trying their breakfast sometime. Yelp has a number of menu pics up for them already, so check Yelp's pics. We did not take any pics of anything this time.

Do I have a favorite thing to get here? No. We've had their asada and fish tacos, burritos, taquitos, Pozole and we love them all equally. It's so hard to choose sometimes that we just have to get them all at once. Oh, and their champurrado. So perfect! We never used their drive-thru. When we order to go, we usually park, place our orders, wait in the car. When they're not busy, they bring it to you. Safe to say I consider this spot one of our go-tos for comfort food :)

It was actually good! I ordered the carne asada burrito. The burrito was huge! So I saved half of my lunch for dinner. I also got the horchata and it didn't taste authentic but it was okay. I little too sweet for my liking but if that's what you like then go for it. The salsas were good too and I preferred the green one over the red but all were good. If you are looking for spice go red! They have a drive thru. I did not visit the location so I have no idea how it looks or the surrounding. My coworker got the chicken taquitos and she was very happy with her choice.

I had been here a few times when I lived in San Gabriel and went back recently so I decided I should review it. The gentleman who owns this place greeted us and was very friendly. You could tell he cares about the food quality and customer service. We ordered the california burrito and some tacos to share. The food was so good and their habanero salsa was spicy AF but good! I also got a jamaica agua fresca and that was super refreshing. Would definitely recommend!
