I sampled most of the winter menu. here's the run-down:
4.9: Beer Flip. Rum, whole egg, sugar, dark beer. The dark beer lends the perfect bitterness to the rum.
4.6: Paloma, on tap. tequila, agave, grapefruit soda. Good, but the flavor could be bolder. Good value batched cocktail.
4.5: Sweet Stache. Singani 63, bergamot, pistachio orgeat, whole egg. Good flip, not too heavy.
4.5: Groundskeeper. Scotch, Aperol, grenadine. Great balance of boozy scotch and modifier.
4.4: Putter up. Good scotch / passionfruit highball topped with soda, but must stir it to get the right flavor.
4.3: Mango tango: Good mango flavor.
4.2: Tally me banana: Flavor is a little flat.
4.2: Kodak moment. Good balance between mezcal and passionfruit
3.5: Christmas Graham:. The cream cheese flavor is not for everyone.
3.2: Holly berry: Heavy on the cranberry and ginger beer. Cannot taste the Terroir gin or Suze.
3.2: Sunomono: Interesting savory Highball, but not for everyone.
3.1: Penny Popper. A straightforward sour. Not enough Pisco comes through.
Here are my highest ranked drinks from previous menus. They can often make these:
4.9: Orchard Sour: Cognac, apricot, cinnamon, lemon
4.9: The Fall-Back: Laird's AppleJack, lemon, ginger beer.
4.8: The Idylewild is an excellent cobbler; it has a sour cherry note.
4.8: Mexican Chocolate Flip: Spiced rum, Tia maria, chocolate bitters, whole egg
4.7: East India Daiquiri: Batavia Arrack, Canton Ginger, pimento dram
4.7: Zihuatanejo: Mezcal, white vermouth, rosemary, lemon.
4.7: The basil gimlet is excellent. They use Junipero gin.
