Ordered catering for a big event! Everyone loved the food, and it arrived fresh and steaming hot!! We ordered almost everything on the menu, including falafel, dolma, rice, makali veggies, fries, tabbouleh, chicken kabob, and kofta kabob. Everything was delicious. Would highly recommend for your next event! Habibi Falafel is now our preferred vendor.

Took a falafel pita sandwich and it was absolutely delicious.

Passing by this area at least once a week, I noticed that this restaurant was under construction and renovation for the past couple of months, after having a grand opening last week I decided to check it out to see what they were about. When I first walked in I was greeted by the owners of the restaurant with amazing hospitality! They were very welcoming and made sure I was informed with the menu selections as they knew it was my first time here. From affordable prices, (especially in this area of the city) to the amazing and flavorful food it was an easy decision to rate this restaurant 5 stars They have a build your own style of food selection which I had never seen before in this cuisine. And they were handing out fresh falafel to make sure we as customers knew what they are about! Overall amazing experience and amazing atmosphere, I will for surely make another visit.

My husband got us takeout while I was in the hospital last night. The service was super friendly, the storefront was really clean and well taken care of. The chicken wrap I had was delicious with a ton of flavor, the sauces are excellent, as are the pickled vegetables. This far from the Mission District, the best pickled veggies on the side of a falafel plate or bowl ever (which is what I had). The falafel were small and had some sort of half-glaze or oil on each of the balls (I obviously am not a good cook), which was brilliant. They were really good.

Google
Absolutely delicious and great value. I got a salad bowl with chicken and ribeye shawarma, with fried veggies added. I absolutely loved the chicken shawarma- very flavorful and it was grilled to have a delicious texture. Also loved the fried veggies. Massive portion size and great value for money. Can't wait to come back.

I've been to Habibi a handful of times now and it never disappoints. The portions are incredibly generous, and everything I've had so far has been excellent and super fresh, especially the falafel! The staff is always so friendly and helpful - shout out to Omar who helped me pick out the perfect dessert for my husband's birthday!

Google
Food and service is excellent! Portions are generous and prices are right. Everything is fresh and absolutely delicious! I love the bowls and pita sandwiches.

Google
Not a bad Oriental cuisine, but the hummus and meat were too salty.

John M.

Yelp
My second time there and It was excellent again. Very authentic Palestinian food. Fresh, beautifully presented it was quite busy but service was excellent. Sarah took the order with a friendly smile served it and followed up to check everything was grand. She took good care of all the customers in the same manner. She is the perfect host. Looking forward to to returning.

Yelp
I love this family business and appreciate how friendly and accommodating they are for ensuring my safety as someone who cannot eat gluten. While they offer foods not made with gluten, there is a high risk for cross contamination because of shared surfaces and gloves. I ordered in person and requested that they use fresh gloves and take other similar precautions. The woman who took my order was happy to help, and when the person making the orders started on mine, she called out to me to let me know that they were putting on fresh gloves so that I could see the care they were taking. The food was delicious and nourishing, so I've been meaning to order from them again.

Yelp
I have eaten at Habibi Falafel several days in a row, and I have loved every bite. Tried the falafel wrap, chicken shawarma wrap and the chicken bowl. The fries are amazing. Pistachio baklava was outstanding. I will be driving all the way from Mission Bay for these wraps. Place is very clean and quiet. Staff is friendly and efficient.

Yelp
I'm so excited to have found Habibi Falafel! After living in the Middle East for two years I'm kinda picky, and they absolutely hit the mark 100%. I ordered the lentil soup and a bowl with ribeye and chicken, hummus and babaganoush, and everything was hot, seasoned perfectly, and delicious. I will be ordering from them on the regular.

Lisa X.

Yelp
Habibi Falafel is located near a lot of medical offices such as Kaiser and UCSF as well as other offices. So this means if you go there during lunch time, it may get quite busy. We have been here a few times. Great falafel sandwich and yummy Chicken Shawarma. The ribeye sandwich also delicious. You can get wraps or Build Your Own Bowls. Small & clean restaurant. Halal. Nice & pleasant service.

Yelp
Came across this new causal Mediterranean spot with fast service, overall good food and portion size. Seems like the food is made to order and the ingredients are all super fresh and seasoned nicely. I got a build your own bowl: Shawarma salad with everything (tomatoes, sumac onion, white onion, pickled cabbage, pickled turnips, pickles, and hummus +$1) Everything was good except I thought they can slice their onions a bit thinner. Their garlic sauce and their Habibi sauce (cilantro) is to die for! Would love to come back to try the sandwich and the mezze platter.

Jessica O.

Yelp
Habibi Falafel is a new spot with Mediterranean offerings on Divis, and I had a good first impression! It's a small interior, but everything looks newly renovated and spotless inside, so we chose to eat in. I got the mezze platter with an added pita and my boyfriend got their BYO bowl with falafels. It's sort of like Mediterranean Chipotle and comes with rice, protein, veggies, and a sauce. I loved their falafels, they were so cute and mini compared to the ones I'm used to, but still very crispy on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. They were generous enough to add on a couple more than the 5 falafels that are supposed to come with the mezze platter. The baba ghanoush and hummus were both delicious, but I think I actually liked the baba ghanoush more. It had a smoky flavor and was extremely creamy with some pieces of eggplant. The salad was bright and fresh and the pickled veggies and sumac onions were nice accompaniments to the falafel. We somehow ordered the bowl to be almost exactly the same as the mezze platter with the exception of the addition of rice and the spicy chatta sauce. The rice texture was good, but I wish there was more seasoning to it. The girl at the counter was helpful and friendly, and the food came out soon after ordering. Definitely seems to be a popular takeout spot, I'm sure we'll be back here for that too. Overall, it's a solid spot for a quick bite with good value!

Mitchell S.

Yelp
Great new place! They drew me in with the aroma and captured me with their delightful taste. The place is rather small and they mostly do to-go orders. The service was incredible as they were swift, sweet, and generous. Though a little more on the expensive side for a build your own ($17ish), the food was really good. They weren't skimpin on the sides. Will certainly be back

Uncle P.

Yelp
Had the kofta plate and the kofta has no flavor. I added cilantro sauce but that did not help. Surprised by the high yelp score.

Jaime R.

Yelp
Habibi Falafel is a fantastic spot for a casual bite in San Francisco. I tried the Chicken Shawarma pita sandwich loaded with fresh toppings, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were vibrant, and the chicken was perfectly seasoned. The friendly staff added to the welcoming atmosphere, making it a great place to enjoy a quick meal. If you're in the mood for tasty Mediterranean fare, Habibi Falafel is worth a visit.

Brittany K.

Yelp
Love the Build your Own bowl! The chicken shawarma was tender and perfectly cooked and all the veggies were super fresh -- I got all the free ones (tomato, cucumber, sumac onion, pickles, pickled red cabbage, pickled turnip) -- with tahini on "salad" (I think it's just romaine?). Around lunchtime during the week, it probably took only 5 minutes or less!

Aaa T.

Yelp
Nice new place I discovered next to Starbucks. I ordered the Bowl but it's actually served on a small plate. I forgot to get the Falafel as my protein option. I added on the Hot Sauce and Hummus but they forgot both. I asked the man at the register about my hummus and he gave me a nice huge side portion of it. I was starving so it was great to have a large amount of hummus. Everything on my plate was tasty, but I wish the portions were slightly larger. I will have to also add on a slice of Pita next visit. Nice, bright, clean and airy ambiance. It was a sunny warm day in the city and it was nice to have a table near the window. Looking forward to my next visit! Thank You for the yummy food! :0)

Yelp
Tried for the first time during lunch and they got my to-go order wrong. I ordered a half chicken and half falafel and only got chicken. Food was only average and I tipped for my to-go order.

Donovan L.

Yelp
They Just opened 4 days ago .. First impressions come's first.. few but good food selection.. .. serving are very good for a meal. Thier Shawarma is good..for the Price...Hope this place would stick around...as we dont have Middle Eastern Food within our Area...Kudos

Yelp
Food was good, as far as flavor and authenticity, but literally more than double the price of anything that it should cost! 30 bucks?! Plus 4.50 15% tip is crazy, I'm from New York City Middle Eastern. Food is dirt cheap! And this was not anything that I would refer to as a restaurant. They had the feel of a 1980s Chinese Food takeout, just sterile tables no ambience.

Ian L.

Yelp
Dry dry bland bland meat. Very surprised by the high Yelp score. Tastes like nothing. The shwarma day at my hospital cafeteria feels higher quality.

Brad R.

Yelp
Super friendly. Nice hummus texture and flavor. Fast service. Locally run Worth trying

Mateel M.

Yelp
Very Fresh tasty Falafel, best I had In SF . The salad used is also fresh . I would recommend offering extra tihini and shatta with it

Ariel C.

Yelp
The 5 star rating is for the food and service, but I have a separate issue that I wish to discuss further down in review). Their falafel, honestly, I think is second to none for what I've had around SF. Maybe up there with some of the best I've ever had. It is absolutely delicious with a crunchy exterior and a soft, pillowy interior that melts in your mouth. A must-try! The hummus and pitas are superb, as well. I love their bowls - super delicious meld of contrasting flavors and textures, savory, creamy, sour, crunchy and spicy (if requested) and one of these typically fills me up to the brim. My issue is with the map on the wall. It is a map of the country of Israel, except modern day cities like Tel Aviv and Haifa are erased and only listed in completely different Arabic names, which is not the modern names of those cities, and is problematic and can be extremely hurtful to many patrons. I wish the owner would consider taking it down, especially considering the political climate today. I truly appreciate Palestinian heritage and culture (perhaps a Palestinian flag?), but I was disappointed to see this. I hesitated to bring up politics in a restaurant review, but I feel that the map is a hurtful political statement in and of itself, and hopefully the owner can understand how this can be seen as the erasure of an entire map of a country and why that is problematic. The food is delicious! Try it. You will love it!

Yelp
i ordered food, paid & sat down. As i took first bite, main shop manager Mariem H came to me & said my card has declined. took me to the front and forced me to pay again. I told her i already got a receipt of my payment was complete. She said NO that's just dummy receipt, i have to pay to eat. I must pay. Feeling extreme pressure I swiped my card again. Came back to my table and checked on my online account to check why my card was declined. I discovered, i was charged two times. 2nd time for someone else/s order, for which she made me scape goat . I left the food and went to MARIWM H. and showed my account screen. She humiliated me further & said i don't know how to refund you. Spoiled the day & meal. Extreme discrimination, why i was picked out of so many people sitting to pay for someone else's meal & humiliated. I wish there some legal action against this business & lady. DAY OF HORROR 8/15/2024 TIME 12:10PM. I asked her can you check to refund extra charge, she told me i already ate the food, WHAAT....

Yelp
Such a wonderful addition to the neighborhood! Food was delicious, super clean place, friendly service! I got the build your own chicken shawarma bowl with the garlic and Habibi cilantro sauce, and it was amazing! I will definitely be back :)

Jayde O.

Yelp
Everything was so fresh and delish! Very clean and cute space. The person that helped me at the counter was so sweet and kind! Good food!! Support local!!! Palestinian owned!! Much love!!

Eve C.

Yelp
Wow I am a huge fan of falafel and middle Eastern food. This is the best falafel I have had in SF! The falafel sandwich (ask for it on lavash) and the falafel bowl are both amazing! Every time I go here I am in awe!!! It's a small place so not a restaurant destination for hanging out but amazing for take out!!! Highly recommend

Ed S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food and great staff. Came in for lunch and was greeted with a smile and fantastic service from all staff members. The food was great! We had the chicken shawarma and excellent falafels. Highly recommend stopping by and giving this place a try.

Camille G.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to grab dinner on my break at work and this place caught my eye! The customer service was stellar beginning with the kind young woman who took my order. The restaurant is well lit, clean and genuinely welcoming. The food was amazing and the falafel does not disappoint! (It's so moist!) I made my own falafel bowl paired with a ginger ale and my belly was happy! To say the least- I'll be coming back! I recommend!

MJ C.

Yelp
Yummy falafels! Would recommend getting at least a side of 6 no matter what you get. Great chicken pita sandwich esp with all of the sauces. Maximalist approach to toppings ftw. Messy but delish. What a welcome addition to the neighborhood.

Jaq O.

Yelp
Brand new spot on Divis by SF athletic club. We ordered a chicken pita sandwich and kefta plate. Both were delicious and I absolutely loved the cilantro habibi sauce! Also, their pita is SO soft and delish

Frances D.

Yelp
Great new spot to check out, so far it's delicious and a quick grab and go for lunch. Very friendly service and helpful. Bright cozy spot with a handful of tables to dine in. If you're around the neighborhood check it out

Desi G.

Yelp
Very friendly staff. The falafel was so delicious. The chicken pita sandwich was yummy. I will definitely go again. The food was so great that I forgot to take a picture.

Sally N.

Yelp
The kofta kabab was spiced to perfection. The plate was packed with so much goodness and I loved the tabbouleh and hummus that came alongside it. The employee at the cash was super accommodating and did a great job of explaining menu items. The pita was fluffy and warm and great to dip into the sides. I love their new decor and the place is all clean, including the bathroom!

Madeline C.

Yelp
The falafel is fluffy and fresh, I never liked falafel until I tried it from Habibi falafel. The service is amazing and the restaurant is nice and clean inside. The woman who took my order was warm and friendly. Habibi Falafel is my favorite restaurant period.

M H.

Yelp
Very nice to addition to the neighborhood and my feedback would be be 5 stars if not for how the wraps come out. I've had the same Shawarma wrap(tomatoes, sumac onions, cucumbers & hot sauce) three times to be sure, but the wrap can't stay together and it sort of defeats the purpose of a calling something a wrap. Two out of Three times there's too much juice, so the wrap completely falls apart literally at the first bite. Flavors are good but if it's gonna be a complete mess, it kinda makes me feel like it's just not worth it. Pictures are dining in and literally my first bite. 3 stars because of that, which is a shame because it is good in general.

Aaron K.

Yelp
I came in 15 minutes before closing and got take out, I ordered the Falafel Pita with all the toppings, and an order of fries. Even though they were about to close the food was still delicious and surprisingly generously portioned. The Falafel was absolutely PACKED with ingredients, making every bite extremely satisfying. The fries were also generously portioned and were quite crispy and delicious. Highly recommended, even if they're about to close. Worth every dollar and will definitely be back.

Ashley S.

Yelp
Our family loves the food here! We are already regulars in the short time it's been open. Our kids typically don't like falafels but they gulp them down here. Ribeye shawarma is fantastic. We love the lentil soup, hummus, pita, you can't go wrong! The staff is really friendly & the treats are delicious.

Allie R.

Yelp
Absolutely lovely place! Employees were so friendly and kind. The food was incredible. We got the bowls, baklava, and some baba. Thoroughly enjoyed them all. Highly recommend!

Joseph H.

Yelp
Love the food here. Ordered for pick up through DoorDash. But I'm only giving 3 stars as the pistachio baklava is too small. $4 for this? Never again ordering this.

Jennifer A.

Yelp
The food was super fresh and extremely flavorful. I think the bowls should come with a half pita for the prices charged, but all in all this place was clean, efficient, and most importantly, delicious.

Morad A.

Yelp
Me and my wife have been looking for a new place with authentic falafel and after try theirs today they will be our new go to spot. We also tried the ribeye shawarma bowl with their Habibi sauce which I must say was amazing. The sauce looks to be cilantro based. The staff were amazing and very friendly. They answered all our questions about the food and made us feel like family.

Vernari D.

Yelp
I got takeout, but the short time I was there, I could tell the service is top-notch. They gave me extra sauce and extra baklava

Jon-Pierre M.

Yelp
Super solid chicken salad. All the fixings were fresh and flavorful. Good bargain as well.

Oakland E.

Yelp
I needed catered food for an event nearby and am so glad that I found Habibi Falafel. We ordered a wide variety of items (falafel, pita, chicken skewers, hummus, baba ghanoush, all the sauces and pickles, and baklava) and every single thing was delicious. The pita was beautifully fluffy, the marinated chicken skewers tender and delicious, the falafel flavorful and not at all greasy, the baklava sweet and crunchy.) The communication and customer service were also wonderful. Would definitely recommend for any catering needs.

Katelynd M.

Yelp
Great all around! Everything I tried was perfect! Ribeye falafel bowl and baba ganoush I'll post pictures next time I'm in. Try this spot out, I wish I would have earlier.

Chanda L.

Yelp
Delicious food at a great price! We ordered online for a work group and we were able to modify/select everything in our bowls. I got the half falafel/half chicken bowl, loaded up with all the pickles. The falafel is flavorful and fluffy/light, and the chicken is perfectly marinated. This is a new go-to for lunch! Service was great and pick up was easy!

Greg K.

Yelp
Habibi Falafel just opened yesterday and we've already been there twice! All of the food is so delicious, and fresh. The hummus is perfectly smooth and lemony, the tabouli is bright, and even the pickled turnips were delicious. We love Middle Eastern food, so this will quickly become our go-to restaurant in the neighborhood! I had the kofte plate and the portion was huge for the price, and my wife had a chicken shawarma bowl - both were incredibly flavorful. We had some baklava for dessert and it was perfection. All of the staff were so incredibly friendly, welcoming, and excited to be a part of our neighborhood. Welcome to to the neighborhood habibi, Habibi Falafel!

Agatha R.

Yelp
I was on a 20 min break headed to the Starbucks. Thankfully I dropped by Habibi Falafel instead. I ordered a Pita Falafel with all the toppings and all the sauces...an explosion of deliciousness from the first bite to last. The ingredients were fresh, crunchy, moist, and flavorful, and not too salty or spicey. I was able to order and eat my sandwich within my 20-minute break from work. Nice selection of drinks and looked like a well-lit and clean place. I would definitely come back to eat here again.

Chester L.

Yelp
Food is delicious here, but the portion size can be larger. Prices are higher than Opa and House of Hummus, so if they give bigger portions, that could justify the higher prices. Maybe they could give an order of fries with the sandwiches to make the prices more reasonable.

N O.

Yelp
OK but nothing special. Too much pickles in falafel wrap. Too much focus on making bulky wraps and less on flavour and quality.
