Sketchville! Nothing is priced - manager makes up prices as you go. Went in to buy an opened, partial box of vinyl flooring. Box contained 6 pieces and manager priced at $15. Did not purchase but just went back today, picked up same box but now only 4 pcs were in box and manager priced at $20. Shady character - will never go back to Chantilly Restore.

Google
Great items but the store manager is price gouging. I brought insulation from the Alexandria, VA store for$20 & he charge $60 for a less rated insulation. They receive donated item but he wants to sell the same items for Home Depot prices.

Google
Was questioned at checkout as to price tag on the item I selected and proprietor stated he wouldn't have priced item as shown and insinuated the tag had been torn (like we had switched it). We won't ever be back to this location / area for habitat. We have been to many locations and never been treated so poorly. Walked out without buying anything. Most of their larger higher ticket items are not even tagged. Soooooo much product, barely any room to walk through. I get why it's so full of they question pricing on every item anyone tries to buy. Sad.

Google
Pick up of two chairs in very good condition was denied. I’ve been to the store in Chantilly and it’s rare to find furniture in clean condition. Perhaps the truck driver was lazy; color blind?

Google
Very disappointing to see how this place has changed, we used to come here all the time for donations and affordable furniture. They have become very selective with donations and furniture is now much more expensive, upwards of $250 for a table.

Google
Go to the Chantilly or Alexandria Restore if you are donating. The Herndon and Leesburg locations are quite restricted as to what they can accept because their stores are so small. BUT - If you are looking to buy, you’ll find amazing bargains here! My solid oak kitchen chairs in perfect condition are being sold at $10/each. He showed me gorgeous burgundy leather club chairs he was offering for $30/each!

Google
Lots of great furniture, found this coffee table for just $30 and was able to paint it for a more modern look. Total $37 for the whole project, for a comparable coffee table the cheapest I could find was $90 or more. Lots of cool stuff here

Google
One of the better locations I've been to. Team is friendly, prices are where they should be and easy to deal with if you have a valid counter offer based on defects. Far better in overall selection than the Alexandria location (which prices were unreal). It's a good thing it's far away for me because I'd be in there all the time.

Yelp
The staff is helpful and knowledgeable on construction and parts needed for projects a . New products everyday great price organized .

Jenny R.

Yelp
Prices are always very reasonable. Staff is friendly and helpful. Always a great variety of furniture in good condition.

Yelp
Store manager made up new rule on pricing regardless the store signs. Used items are priced as new items from stores. Un-friendly store manager with attitude. Manassas Restore is a better place to go.

Faith M.

Yelp
They receive Free items! That they overprice. Alot of it is unusable junk. It was so much better when it was in Manassas and Mo was running it. The quality seemed to be better. Are the employees selling it online before the customers even see it?

Soda C.

Yelp
Ridiculous Prices through the roof for furniture especially - almost like they don't want to sell it! You can get the same or better for way less elsewhere. Smaller household items priced a little better but not as much selection as the Goodwill down the street where the prices are way more reasonable across the board.

Yelp
This store had some amazing finds for a pretty good deal! Extremely friendly & helpful workers. They have all kinds of furniture, lighting, appliances, etc. We got two great bedside tables and a tv stand. Will be back for more!

Yelp
They have had an army of volunteers the past couple of months cleaning and organizing the store. They threw out a lot of junk that had accumulated over the years. Merchandise is limited right now, but you can still find a treasure. Best of all, you are supporting a great organization that really helps people in need.

Yelp
I truly love this particular Restore, the general manager and staff are very helpful, every time that I visited. Selection and value is like no other Restiore, I always look forward to the next visit. Thanks!!

Yelp
A leisurely stroll through the Habitat for Humanity Restore is my family's idea of Sunday afternoon fun. Every visit here is a treasure hunt for one-of-a-kind finds at drop dead bargains. My patience is pretty non-existent but if you have a careful eye you can really find some amazing steals. Luckily my dad is this type of person and he found the most amazing vintage, wicker bassinet... that is currently advertised on Etsy as a 'boho crib' for over $500 ducks. Let's just say he got it for WAY, WAY LESS...and the people at the Restore thought it was a dog bed. After a nice clean up, the bassinet provides an awesome spot for the little one to practice her rolling whenever she is visiting her grandparents*. The best part about the restore is proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity. If you're looking for furniture or discount housing build ware this is the spot to go!

Yelp
This place is an utter disaster and disappointment. There is a lot of merchandise to sift though but it is poorly organized and looks like a junk yard, frankly. Pricing for many of the items is unreasonable- considering these items are used and donated. If you are looking for a great deal, quality items, ands fair prices, visit the location in Alexandria.

Yelp
I used to donate items to this place all the time until one day I noticed a worker moved all the high end cookwares into the trunk of his car minutes after I dropped them off at this place. Can't believe dishonest people work at this non profit store. I should have confronted the staff and reported to the manager but I was too afraid to cause a scene at the time. I just can't shake off the negative impact that left in my heart.

Yelp
Love this place! I find something every time I go in. Some things need a lot of work, other items are in great shape. Prices are a little high, but never had a problem bargaining a lower price.

Yelp
So we donated some stuff and we went and looked around. It was hard to find someone to help us unload so we ended up doing it ourselves. They've moved from their previous location. To me the new location looks more dark and dreary than the other place and it seems smaller than the previous location too. Although this place was packed full of stuff. Household items like kitchen stuff and furniture. They also had cabinets and other building supplies too in the back of the store. Also for the used merchandise the prices seemed awfully high given the quality and condition of some of these used items.

Jocelyn R.

Yelp
Last week the aisles were clear especially the area of shelves for kitchen houseware and hardware parts. I have visited this place often pre-post pandemic. The boxes of items in the aisles did not bother me as most were put next to like item shelves. The aisles are now wider to walk around. IMO it looks like more volunteers have come in to reorganize, declutter the massive donations, and dust the shelves. They continue to put more like things together especially the glass light covers, chandeliers, drink glasses, microwaves, kitchen cabinets, couches, bedroom furniture, and doors. They are trying to put the prices on them as soon as item hits the floor. I have seen lead volunteers train new ones with kindness and patience.

Yelp
It's really great for what it is. This store in particular was packed to the brim when we went & the dude quoted us very reasonable prices. It kinda sucks that most things are unmarked & u have to drag them up front for him to price them but it's understandable. There's like 2 employees in this giant warehouse. The rest are volunteers so they don't know much & are there very temporarily. Most habitat stores are a bit pricey than what we saw from them back in the day. Stuff was essentially free back then. I don't mind that things cost a bit more now, at least it's for a good cause. This place is great. We donate to them mostly but we also shop there occasionally. You can find some gems. I just wish it was more organized.

Yelp
The other day I went in to check a few things out- this was my first time in the new location. I could not believe how rude and inconsiderate the workers were with the exception of the young volunteer who was there to get his hours in. The clerk ( both) were absent pretty much the entire time- both appeared to get bothered if the customer asked a question- regarding price! My daughter asked for assistance to which she received a very cold and rude remark- to the point that she was crying, she is 10. I normally do not leave negative comments but this time around I felt it was ness because someone needs to address these employees lack of customer service.

Yelp
What a nightmare. Wanted to donate a few $k of furniture, filled out online form on advice of Reston Restore (much more competent folks working there). Filled it out multiple times, left multiple voicemails with "Tammy", no call back even after a week (vs promise of 2 business days). Please give your donations to more deserving charities, or deserving branches of Habitat. Avoid this like the plague.

Yelp
Wanted to donate our OLD but working great stove. I explained age was unknown but was 5-10 years and the donation pick up was still scheduled. Pick up guys refused donation becasue of age, even though I already explained the age in the request email. No on answers the phone, returns voicemails, or responds to email at this location! Very disappointed, the stove works wonderfully and could have went to a family in need.

Yelp
I wanted to donate approx. $1,500 of furniture to this location, all in very good condition. I left a voice-mail for the "donations manager" during store hours on a Saturday asking a specific question. No call back that day, but maybe she doesn't work on weekends; no problem. "Finally" got a call back the next Wed., where she left me a generic message that said to check their web-site for answers to any questions I might have. (Really...if my question was answered on their web-site, would I have called and asked a question that obviously was not?) I'd take my stuff to the dump before donating to these ungrateful people, but fortunately Goodwill was more than happy to have it.

Yelp
This is a great store. Good prices on some used furniture and they have new items as well. Big place and a good variety of things for sale. Prices marked on most items so you don't have to guess. And profits go to a good cause. I purchased a kitchen table and some used tools.

Yelp
They recently moved locations and now their pricing has gone way up. I love to use Habitat for Humanity to find all of my household needs. They have everything from used washers and dryer's, tables and chairs, household items, nails, screws, loose doorknobs, doors, and many other needed donated items useful for the home owner. I give it three out of five stars because of the change in pricing.

Yelp
Restore is a huge warehouse with a small front area filled with tons of random construction and home goods items. They carry donated and surplus kitchen cabinets, countertops, appliances (microwaves, ovens, cooktops, range hoods, washers & dryers) sinks, toilets, tubs, doors, siding, shutters, trim, flooring, tile, carpet, vanities, furniture, plumbing supplies, lighting, as well as miscellaneous electrical and hardware components and wiring. They do have some thrift store items such as luggage, boots, electronics, computer parts, records, tapes, videos, CDs, DVDs, books, knick-knacks. Help can be busy with sales, customers, and donations, but I'm there a few times every month and they're generally helpful but firm. Due to the nature of the donations you never know what you'll find! Bring your truck, you'll need it! Shopping Hours: M-F 10-6 Sat 9-5, Sun 10-3. Donations Hours M-Sa 10-4 Sun 10-2. Drop-Off is located in the back of the building and a strict NO DUMPING or dumpster usage with camera is enforced.

Angela E.

Yelp
Warning -the hours listed here do not reflect when they take donations. I missed the window and the guy I spoke to didn't even seem to care. Since Chantilly is way out of my way anyhow, I will now take my items elsewhere to donate and will never be back.

El Rey D.

Yelp
This is a great store that resembles a third-world flea market. A few good deals and some old-broken or recalled-faulty item that are repackaged in a new box by the donator. Do NOT buy electronics because most do not work properly and are obsolete. Open and check items in the boxes because they usually are not the advertised ones. Wait until you are done shopping before asking for prices at the register because the manager is short tempered and does not like to be bothered by bargain hunters. With the lady-cashier, you will have to wait while she searches the items on the internet to charge you what she thinks you can afford. Do not go there the last week of the month because they are usually behind on their quota to "pay the rent". Do not ask the volunteers for help because they are not allowed to engage with the customers. Always haggle for a better price because the store's pricing strategy is self-serving and they have no idea if the donated item has been recalled, is faulty or works properly. There is absolutely NO quality check of the items before you buy them. Buyer beware, beware, beware.

Sandy P.

Yelp
Unfortunately, the guy overseeing the front desk seems to have lost sight of the concept of Habitat for Humanity is to help people. He was very rude and as unhelpful as can be when I inquired about donating a single item because it was (unknowing to me) outside of the drop off time. I can understand there being an issue if I had a truck load of donationations being dropped off after the receiving crew was finished for the day. The other staff waiting for something to do, however was very eager and happy to assist me which I really appreciated the kindness. That staff member though, was reprimanded for his intention to help me. This has soured my interest in the Chantilly Restore, so I will now only be a patron of the Leesburg Restore where I know it will be a positive experience.

Beth C.

Yelp
This used to be a great place to go "hunting" for bargains and feel like you were giving a home to used stuff that might otherwise not be recycled/reused. Now, their prices are just ridiculously high. There is no discussion to be had with the (often rude and dismissive) operators. Everything they receive is DONATED to the business, but the attitude is one of "take it or leave it." The repeated reason for this is that the ReStore pays high rent to take in donations and offer it for resale. Who believes that? There are many empty warehouse spaces in Northern Virginia and I am 100% certain that a more equitable lease situation could be found. Meanwhile, you are not getting any bargains here, even though the place is literally overflowing with merchandise Let them warehouse that stuff, since that seems to be their preference, rather than having quick turnover and reasonable pricing. Someone from the upper levels of this organization needs to rethink the management of this ReStore.
