Hachi Hachi Sushi & Hibachi Portage

Food was awesome! Staff was friendly. Sushi was very fresh tasting. Great new spot for portage I hope it stays around!

This is probably one of the best Japanese restaurant in the Midwest! The quality of their food is amazing 🤩 highly recommend the angel rolls!

A hidden gem found in a strip mall near Route 39 in Portage - everting from fresh fish for sushi to perfectly rolled maki and tasty broth for ramen, this place offers excellent Japanese food in a least expected area. Add impressive presentation to boot, they could thrive in any place. Will definitely stop by again.

The atmosphere is very cozy and chill, very welcoming. The staff greets you and doesn't make you feel rushed. I loved that they incorporated pictures into the environment for people less familiar with specialty rolls. The sushi was super fresh and sauces were top tier. It is taking every ounce of my being. Not to put up the video of my daughter eating in one bite my blue crab roll. But if you can do what she did and eat it in one bite then you really are a beast because their specialty rolls are massive. 10 out of 10 sushi and hibachi for small Midwest town. It cannot be beat.

Sushi tasted good. Huge rolls. Fresh ingredients. We’re picky and I’d recommend it. Service was perfect. Only had can soda so we drank water.

I ordered online and picked up. There were three spots, while placing the order, that I was able to enter special instructions. In all three places, I put that I was allergic to scallions, and please don't put them in my food. At the restaurant, at pick up, the girl made a point of assuring me that there were no scallions in my food. I got the food home and we started eating. After a few spoons of soup, I spotted scallions in it. Today I am home from work, dealing with an allergic reaction. I will not go back there!

Food was good but staff were quite rude. We won't return there. Waiter took our order but was argumentative. Then we waited an extended time then someone else brought our meal. No one ever checked back to ask if we were ok or give more beverage. We paid and left.
