Hacienda Bambusa (Armenia, Colombia) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"It's a bumpy journey down a dirt road — albeit a scenic one framed by cacao and pineapple trees — to the gates of Hacienda Bambusa. Located on a working farm with views of the Andes, this boutique hotel is housed within a traditional two-story villa that’s been beautifully restored and updated to host travelers passing through Colombia’s central coffee-growing region. It’s the only hotel around for miles, and it feels like a place to settle in for a few days, relaxing barefoot by the pool with a cup of café con leche." - Tablet Hotels

Best romantic hotel in the Coffee region, close to Armenia. The rooms are amazing and very spacious. The pool is super calm and beautiful and the views all around the property are breathtaking. The food is really great, and there is a lot of choice. The best part are probably the hummingbirds feeding all day long just outside the window. The team is super professional, and all the activities offered were absolutely great. We only want to come back as soon as possible!

My wife and I really enjoyed our time here. It’s isolated down a very bumpy gravel road but that made it more special in our view just be aware on trips out you are probably looking at least 1.5 hours drive to get anywhere. ||Service fantastic, rooms lovely and spacious, clean. We had a plunge pool also. ||Liked the food. Breakfast was ok pastries, cakes plus some egg dishes cooked to order. Liked the evening dinners plenty of selection and some lovely wines. ||Very relaxing stay - you get the odd plane fly over from the nearby airport but it’s rare didn’t bother us. Some people brought their young kids which we thought was odd as it’s not the sort of place that would appeal to a young family. ||Would recommend the cacao farm tour and making the hot chocolate. We really enjoyed that. ||Overall a very different and special place would definitely recommend.

This is a fantastic hotel in the beautiful Eje Cafetero of Colombia. I’ve stayed twice now and the rooms are luxurious and the atmosphere always wonderfully tranquil. The service and food is first rate, fresh and generous; You’ll never be left hungry. There are plenty of tours both by the hotel and further afield. I recommend bird watching and going to a coffee plantation.

Wow wow wow. One of the nicest places we’ve ever had the privilege to enjoy. Beautiful and unique surroundings in a working farm with yucca, cacao, bananas, papaya, bamboo forest. Completely remote, so be prepared to spend some time getting here - but so worth it! ||Gorgeous rooms (junior suites with balconies) with wonderful amenities. Air con and hot water were great. We had premium package including breakfast lunch dinner. Friendliest staff ever. 2pm walk with the house botanist Camilo was a special treat - he was amazing. Such a special place!! ||Dinner each night was delicious and way beyond our expectations. We were lucky to have a special father/son musician duo playing gorgeous Colombian music one evening. Would love to come back one day and stay longer to enjoy walking, biking, learning, relaxing, eating. Muchas gracias a todos!!

If you're visiting the Eje Cafetero, Hacienda Bambusa is a must. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the hacienda is a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature and mountains, truly a hidden paradise. The road to get there is a bit bumpy, and towns like Salento and Filandia are about an hour away, but the beauty and hospitality more than make up for it. Highly recommended!

Beautiful boutique property, up to date. Staff were extremely helpful, and friendly. Food was really well done. Very quiet, in the middle of a large farm area. |Note if you’re driving yourself to Bambusa, BELIEVE their website and call ahead for directions + road conditions Z

Fantastic hotel, in middle of huge farm, surrounded by yucca & lime trees, very rustic area, but modern hotel, with a great staff, good food, relaxing atmosphere - miss it already. Rooms are spacious - we had are own very comfortable pool area

From the airport pick-up till we left we loved Hacienda Bambusa. The welcoming staff, always smiling and professional made our stay even more special. We felt pampered. Room was really spacious with wonderful terrace and view on the pool. We enjoyed the hammock while watching the colibri visiting our terrace. Food was really good too. Each dinner had either a proposed menu or a la carte. We try both and they were absolutely good.
