Amazing service! 10/10 recommend this wonderful establishment! We went in on a whim ordered 5lbs of cooked pastor and warm tortillas, they were more then helpful, got us a whole party set up with all the toppings, salsas, tortillas and they did in in 15 min, fresh cooked, and so delicious. They offered the best customer service and were so nice, helpful and all around amazing!!

Google
Went for taco Tuesday since they gave tacos for $1.75. I got three Asada tacos and they were so good. Customer service was great, food was delicious and it was very clean. The store area was very nice and organized as well and the cashier was very kind. 10/10 recommend!

Google
Such a wide variety of foods, treats, meats, etc.!!! Swung by for a sweet treat and LOVED their conchas, very fluffy and moist. Their whole baked goods section is amazing! Will have to go back and try the food cooked there, so far thoroughly impressed.

Went for the market, stayed for the food! Really great place. We ended up ordering food and it was really good. I ordered the pork Chile Verde and it was 🤤 My husband ordered the cubana torta and it looked so good and was honestly the biggest torta we've ever seen. Seriously. The picture does no justice. We ordered some simple cheese quesadillas for the kids and they were yummy too, the kids loved them. I feel like the price was reasonable for the amount of food. We definitely want to come back to try more!

Google
Right off of 580 and a large parking lot! This place is super yummy! I just stopped for some lunch, but they have a ton of cool stuff! Fantastic prices and lots of take home options too! I'll be back to try more deliciousness! ( The Al Pastor was awesome )

Google
Food is good. They over charge. They overcharged after advertising for the set 2 for six. After bringing it to their attention it was a burden. It was an inconvenience for them to fix their mistake and the lady at the counter they don’t do this here. I know that it was just a 2 dollar difference we were charged but it was still about the principle. We also have never gotten charged for jalapeños before but apparently this time they had to charge for it as well but after the whole redbull situation it was already frustrating.

Google
Not a single price was correct on their digital menu. They upchanged me on everything and just said we'll that's the price after ordering. Very unprofessional

The al pastor is divine. The counter help is fast and courteous & multilingual. Great horchata. Yep. My favorite authentic Mexican food in Carson City.

Yelp
I am new to the area and have become a returning customer at this fabulous place! Moving from the central valley of California I always felt we were spoiled with some great Mexican food. So I wasn't sure what to expect living in the Carson City area. A family member who has lived here since 1975 recommended I try Hacienda Market and Grill. I wasn't sure what to expect because the location is in what I would call a strip plaza. It just didn't seem like much to me. But as you walk in it's a really nice grocery store with a full Mexican grill to the left as you walk in. Now I've been here several times already and this is the first review I have done. So far I have tried the carnitas tacos with chicharrones and I have tried the chili verde. I've actually been in there twice this week just to have those tacos. They're really that good. The chicharrones are cooked perfectly and not over seasoned. The beans are delicious as well as their rice. BUT! The best part of this amazing place is the Mexican sweet bread! They have an amazing selection of sweet bread and delicious empanadas! I'm in there pretty regularly just to get those. The people in the Hacienda are friendly and the place is very clean. They have a great meat market as well. Along with isles of Mexican groceries. I absolutely love this place and will be a regular customer for a long time! If you haven't been here you need to check them out!

Yelp
What an amazing hidden gem to grab dinner! The carne asada is so tender and flavorful. Be sure to make this a spot to check out if in the area.

Yelp
By far my favorite Mexican grocery store and lunch spot in Northern NV! The made-to-go food is amazing--I especially love the burritos. The portions are huge, the prices are affordable, and everything is packed with flavor. They also have fresh guacamole and salsa that are always a hit to bring to parties. One of the best parts is their grocery selection--they even had powdered sugar, which saved me from making an extra stop for a Christmas dessert. It's so convenient to grab lunch here while crossing off items on your grocery list. The staff is always super friendly, the store is clean, and everything is very well organized. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Hacienda is incredible! I have two coworkers that eat here at least once a week. They assured me this place is fantastic, and that I would be thinking about it over the weekend weekend. My first visit was with one of these veterans and another coworker that has also never been (and also lives nearby). As promised, the food was beyond excellent. Between the three of us we had four or five different items, and everything was spectacular. I spent the weekend thinking about it. At the end of the following week I made sure this was the planned lunch spot because I was leaving for vacation and didn't want to go 9+ days without eating here again. It was just me and me and the other guy whose first time was just the previous trip and we again loved everything we ordered. And that's when he told me since that first time here last week that he has been here twice by himself since then!

Yelp
I came here for lunch with a few colleagues. The place has a good amount of seating and handled the lunch crowd well. We queued up in line and ordered nachos, a torta, and a quesadilla from the employee behind the counter. The nachos were the star of the show. The chicken was tender and the portions were large. I will definitely be putting this place into my lunch rotation.

Yelp
The food at the restaurant section was delicious and generously served. Didn't have a chance to get the carnitas (and that says a lot) but the meat counter was very well stocked

Debra C.

Yelp
I got extremely sick with food poisoning from the chicken tacos meal on 6/14/25. I called and left a message for the manager to call me on 6/16/25. I never received a call back. I wasn't going to ask for a refund. I just wanted them to be aware so that no one else would become ill.

Yelp
Very tasty. Brought my parent and my family. Mom and dad had the three taco rice and bean plate with carnitas tacos and enjoyed it. My wife got pastor torta and enjoyed it except for to many beans. My son got a carnitas burrito and was stuffed. Myself I had the asada supreme and it was great I would ask for a few less beans. The salsa bar is good. The staff is friendly. There is tables etc for inside dinning for around twenty five people.

Yelp
This place is amazing. I live in Arizona and Nevada. Arizona has excellent Mexican restaurants. This place competes with the best in Arizona. The food is so tasty and a great selection of food choices. The market has a butcher style meat counter. Meat is very good and prices are competitive. Great selection of marinated meat. Also seafood and hard to find meats.

Sahara P.

Yelp
The food at the restaurant is mediocre, a lot of grease for no reason, they're slow and you can expect to stand there for a while waiting to be assisted before they acknowledge you. There's a nicer place across the bridge with better service
google avatar

Charlene A.

Yelp
Got a carne asada combo the food was cold like it just taken out of refrigerator not going there again

Yelp
Food is delicious and all the workers are kind. The food comes out quickly too. I highly recommend.

Yelp
Had lunch at the grill inside market today and ordered the menudo which was listed on their display board for the daily special for $5.99. After I sat down and looked at receipt I was charged $7.99. Now this is NOT the first time I've been overcharged here so I should've been paying closer attention. So, I went to cashier and showed her receipt etc and she said she had to have manager fix the transaction. Fine. A few minutes later mgr hurriedly drops receipt on table and says you were refunded $1.54 and takes off before I could swallow my soup and respond. The beer (Modelo) rang up for $3.99 which was probably overcharged too. Unfortunately the soup was tasty, altho could have/should have been hot instead of warm and tortillas were excellent m, but I'd have to be desperate before I'd shop/eat there again!

Yelp
My family and I really enjoying coming to Hacienda for food. Not only is their store clean and nice, their staff is amazing especially Lulu!! We enjoy the el pastor tacos from the grill and it's not badly priced either! We have been coming here for many years already and we won't buy our taco meat anywhere else! Thank you Hacienda for providing such quality food and service!

Kimberly C.

Yelp
Very friendly staff and the tacos are great, I appreciate the sauce section too. They have a huge drink area that ill have to try next time.

Darby P.

Yelp
Excellent food in an amazing market. A small corner is for the restaurant and the rest of the large space is a great Mexican market. Prompt friendly service.
google avatar

Shelby Y.

Yelp
We like to swing by here for tacos every once in a while. The fish tacos are probably my favorite. Love how they also have a self serve salsa bar with a lot of selections.

Yelp
This place has excellent food, and great service with a smile. Coming from Wilmington California, I've had carnitas all over from Tijuana, San Diego to Downtown LA, and up to Carson City so when I tell you this place is good.. it's GOOD! The store is very clean and the food nice and hot. They have a great selection of meats, salsas, and those regional grocery items that you won't find at a large commercial grocer. The young woman at the register is always friendly with a beautiful smile. The cooks and other staff are equally as nice. The tacos are authentic and the flavor is on par with their counterparts in Southern California! Glad I found this place and I will ALWAYS visit for their delicious food when I am in town! Did I mention the beans are on point too!

Yelp
I usually have a good experience with Hacienda Market however, my last order from there was honestly inedible. Seriously, it went straight in the trash after 2 attempted bites. I ordered the Cubana Torta which I discovered was covered in a layer of salt as well as weaved throughout. The meat was so dry & tough, I could barely get a knife through it let alone chew the thing. Everything just fell apart, I assume because of the salted metal plate they called meat. Not sure if I will go back, just thinking of that "thing" makes me a bit nauseous.

Yelp
Amazing Mexican food! Best pozole we've tried! Real grilled flavor to the carne asada. Nice people working there too! Plenty of comfortable seating available to dine in with a full salsa bar.
google avatar

Yelp
Overall, great store and have always enjoyed the baked goods. However, the tres leches cake we bought for Easter was a disappointment, the cake was sand dry, which for tres leches is a feat. The sweetness level out of 10 was a 2.4, and the flavors of cake/frosting/filling were all at odds. The candy decoration on top (eggs) tasted like chocolate baileys with mint which meant eating one was a huge mistake, it was like having gravy on a strawberry, not a good combo with the cake. I'll still shop here for groceries/bread/conchas, but I won't be having the cake again.
google avatar

Yelp
Great taqueria, produce, bakery and butcher. Always well stocked, clean and friendly.

Yelp
My fiancé and I adore this place so it's about time I give it a review. The food is so delicious and authentic, they have an outdoor patio where you can enjoy the beers and margaritas (only for dine in of course) and then you can grab some authentic essentials for your own taco or enchilada night! Plus some drinks to bring you some nostalgia(I absolutely bought every Fanta flavor today in the glass bottles lol) and the employees are all so sweet! It's one of my favorite casual date afternoons to enjoy in this homey place.

Jerry K.

Yelp
They have a cool looking Mexican market there. I would go back there just to check that out. They have a good salsa bar. I'm not a picky eater and I was pretty hungry. I ordered the chicken Nachos to go. One size, large, $12. Lot of that liquid cheese, which I don't like. Swimming in it. Wasn't very good. I ate about a quarter of it. Gave the rest to the dog. ( She gave it a ten) I'm not going to order anything from the grill again.
google avatar

Roylen S.

Yelp
Im from the bay area where mexican markets are the norm and service and card readers are stellar. This place seems to always an issue with the chip reader for debit card. Cashiers have an attitude. 2 stars for the butchers that are always nice. Won't be back. I will tolerate the horrible parking lot at Centro where the service & card readers are exceptional
google avatar

Yelp
First impressions is that it looks like it has more to offer. Definitely bright, decorative and a little more of hispanic products; but going towards the back where the produce and restaurant are located looked dingy. Produce didn't look fresh and the restaurant can use a cleaning. The pan dulce was disappointing. Dry, dry, dry.

Yelp
Hacienda has their taco game on point! Their using the classic combo of soft double corn tortillas, meat of choice, cilantro and onion but somehow they just do it better! We ordered up al pastor, carne asada, chorizo, lengua and carnitas. The al pastor came right off the spit and onto the griddle for a crisp before being slapped into the tortillas. The chorizo was crispy and juicy, and full of balanced flavor. The carnitas were so succulent and well seasoned. The tacos were just perfect. Lengua, my usual favorite, was a bit gamy for my taste. Not terrible, but more strongly flavored than I'm used to. When it comes to carne asada I'm generally not a fan, but my wife enjoyed it. The salsa bar here is off the charts awesome. I think everything has garlic in it, and it's delicious. The taquera salsa (Something like that) is a real shocker. It's light, a bit watery even, but it's so rich in flavor. Garlic and sweet tomato with the right heat. So many other great options. I love that this is a market too. I went to the deli case and ordered guacamole and chicharron by the pound, grabbed some chips and a pint of ice cream and had a great dinner! Looking forward to doing this again soon!

Yelp
This is a great little market. I don't have a proper kitchen so I can't take advantage of everything but always stop in for something from the bakery and find something else to try. The produce is lovely and well presented. The cheese, fish and meat counter has great variety. I bought a smoked pork chop and it made my pot of black eyed peas delicious. I also bought cooked octopus for a fish stew. They have all the essentials plus a prepared food section and liquor. The prices are good. The staff is very friendly and the store is so well kept. It is a pleasure to shop here.
google avatar

Jess L.

Yelp
At the time of this review, they have 4 stars. It must've been the grocery side, because I cannot believe that this food would be four out of five stars. The ceviche/haiva is priced at $10.99 a pound. It's mostly vegetables and some shrimp or imitation crab. It did not look fresh, so we opted for the tamales. That was a bad call also, because those tamales were so dry and probably old. There was no juice in the meat it look like I have been chewed up and spit out. The staff was very friendly and they had a wide selection products in the grocery side. Just stay away from their hot food.

Pam C.

Yelp
Stopped in for al pastor burrito. I'll give it a 3 star because the beans and rice inside the burrito were delicious, but there was very little meat. I'll try the other market next time.
google avatar

Ana M.

Yelp
Omg the pork carnitas. So damn juicy. Also had an enchilada (ok) and tamale (decent) but man oh man those pork carnita tacos. The 2 beer Michelada was nice and well flavored. Very happy to come back here. Ordering is done on the line and your number is called. Seating is plentiful and a hodge podge of regular tables and others with outdoor umbrella. This "restaurant" is attached to the store so atmosphere of course is lacking but there is a reason why people are always in line. Overall affordable, and service was quick with fresh food out in about 7 minutes. Parking was good as this is shared with a strip mall. Note: They have Taco Tuesday specials which are popular so come early.

Yelp
Stumbled in here after remembering reading about this fairly new Carson place on Yelp. I had just come back from Ecuador and fell in love with a brand of hot sauce called SNOB - I'm not kidding! I was hoping they might have it here, but no go. What they do have is a very nice little restaurant in the back of the market where you can see lots of home made deliciousness. I was on a ceviche roll in the Galapagos, so I went for a tostada with ceviche - $3.99. Generous serving of shrimp, nice tart citrus flavors, tasted fresh. I grabbed a few $1.50 street tacos with carnitas too - topped with a mixture of different salsas from the salsa bar, it was a very inexpensive meal. My friend hit the laundry aisle - she's addicted to the smell of Ariel laundry soap. The store is very clean and has nice, wide aisles.

Yelp
Best menudo on the weekends and best burritos in Carson City! We're so lucky to live so close to their market.
google avatar

Mike P.

Yelp
EAT THEIR TACOS. This is flavor country in cowboy country. Super authentic. Asada and Carnitas tacos... they know how to marinate. The burrito is gigantic and awesome. Their cilantro is super fresh- omg. Outstanding!

Yelp
2019-Last three times I have been here in a months time: First visit staff not friendly at all Second visit they got my order wrong- did not give me what I asked for Third visit got order completely wrong including the absolute wrong meat on my nachos- asked for al pastor got carne asada, again. I paid and It's unfortunate because I love their food but if they can't get the order right then why order? I'll try one more time hoping things turn around. 2021-Final try tonight. I'm done with this place, nothing has changed. They still don't know the difference between pork al pastor and carne asada. Good luck trying to get the first option because it just doesn't happen. I will never order food here for our office or my family again. They cannot get orders right, ever.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
My husband and I each had a carne asada burrito with guacamole. They were very good - had plenty of meat, rice, beans, cilantro, and pico. The only thing that was missing was sour cream. A bit pricey for a taqueria - it was $18 for 2 burritos. But we will definitely be back.
google avatar

Bob D.

Yelp
Can not go wrong here. Food is always good. Fresh Meats. Excellent Produce. Great Prices. I can load up on the produce and I can't believe How much I get for just a few dollars.
google avatar

Wilma J.

Yelp
This spot is quickly becoming a local favorite, they have good eats and very inexpensive. I'd rather hit this place up instead of the busier Mexican restaurants on a weekend. For under 10 dollars you will leave very happy with any of their delicious burritos and a fountain drink. They have a salsa bar with some of the most flavorful salsas your mouth has ever experienced. And they are free to try when you're eating in or with your take out order. My very favorite thing to order here is a Chile relleno burrito I custom order when ever I come in. Chile relleno is a roasted poblano pepper stuffed with Oaxaca cheese then coated with an egg wash and fried. I order this with beans, queso fresco and ask them to put in three of their fire roasted jalapeños right in there for spice. They make it perfect every time. My boys love the carne asada tacos. They are very generous with the meat here. You will not leave hungry. All the meats are very flavorful. If you're into desserts, they are currently serving "capirotada", a traditional Mexican pudding that is only made during the Easter holiday. I personally like it a bit sweeter but my husband thought it was perfect. I usually come here to purchase my meats and cheeses when I'm going to cook a nice Mexican meal but it is sure nice that I can just eat something delicious already made in store and tastes like you cooked it at home.

Peter B.

Yelp
Nice grilled food on the menu and great prices on all grocery items. Visit them. Friendly people. There is also live music with wine bar on the back.

John H.

Yelp
I ordered a Carnitas burrito w/o rice. The burrito I received had no rice...also had next to no carnitas. It tasted good for a bean and cheese burrito, but "Where's the pork??"
google avatar

Sunny C.

Yelp
Today was a beautiful day outside, and I had a daye with my best girlfriend at Hacienda. I arrived early, to make sure we had a table, but there was never a seating issue throughout the lunch rush, because they have a pretty spacious dining area. Adjacent is a most wonderful little market. I ordered Tacos Al Pastor and we sat and shared a plate with a bunch of salsa and a coke. Order was up rapidly, very flavorful, just the right crunch on the meat, so delicious.
google avatar

Cristine B.

Yelp
This is for the restaurant side. Food took so freaking long, we thought they forgot about us. Right as we were about to ask for our money back & go eat somewhere else, they called our order. Seriously, more than a half hour, on a day that wasnt busy, two plates of food. When we got our food it was so bleh! Like we really paid for this?! Flavorless, just not worth the wait or the money. I'd expect this maybe from a drive through. And still wouldn't return. They just cant beat the Centro Market restaurant, they may have more options but Centro is just so much better and right down the road, it's worth driving the like 3 minutes further. Weird outdoor tables & seating too, very uncomfortable

Yelp
I have tried several Mexican Food restaurants since moving to the Reno/Sparks area and so far the best carne asada tacos I have eaten were in Carson City!!! Hacienda had amazingly tasty tacos; they were perfectly cooked and tasted just like the asada I had in my hometown of Tucson, AZ. The salsa added a nice kick to the meal. I also tried cheese enchiladas and they were very tasty. Different from what I am used to; the enchilada sauce didn't cover the enchiladas instead the tortillas were dipped in the sauce but this didn't take away from the flavor. The horchata was perfect! It was nice and creamy with just the right amount of cinnamon. It had the perfect balance of all the ingredients. The market itself is a cool place to go shopping. There is a carnicería and a panadería; we took home some pan de huevo and it did not disappoint. They also sell fruits and veggies you would find at a Mexican Mercado. The service was friendly and welcoming.
google avatar

Barbara R.

Yelp
I am so jelous we do not have a market like this in Tahoe but luckily its not too far of a drive for me and well worth the journey. I walked over while waiting getting my oil changed at Jiffy lube, was about a 5 min walk maybe less. This is the real deal full mexican market. I got a burrito over in the restaurant section and then afterwards was astonished by the full selection of goodies over in the bakery. I got about 5 different pastries for $5 and they were all delicious! The burrito was perfect and the salsa selection was great. This is the real deal, the burrito was loaded with delicious carne asada. Cant wait to come back and eat here again. If I lived in the area I would definitely do grocery shopping here as well even if you don't cook mexican food there are plenty of fresh fruits and veggies and a huge selection of grocery items.
google avatar

Kathy G.

Yelp
Super underrated!! Same market and Centro with the exact same shipping experience, but it's a larger store with a much easier parking lot to get in an out of! A must go if you're look for fresh meat! Good quality.
google avatar

D H.

Yelp
I love this place! Everyone is always helpful, attentive, and kind. Food is always fresh snd great prices. Restaurant section has a good selection and the carne asada fries are the best! I really love that we have other culture markets like this in our town. And to be completely satisfied with what they offer and how they treat you speaks volumes! Thank you, Hacienda! Most other businesses should take note.
google avatar

Harman B.

Yelp
Not bad for a quick lunch bite to eat. They carry a wide variety of dishes, and the service and seating is peasant. Nothing special but if you are looking for a quick simple bite is worth it. Everything is roughly under $10. Carne asada fries and chicken enchiladas are normally my go to.

Joseph D.

Yelp
Best taco spot ever for quick fresh and delicious tacos . They also have a devious taco salad and the best horchata EVER ! A must try when in Carson City especially on a Tuesday .
google avatar

Katie M.

Yelp
I love the burritos from here! Great salsas too. Don't forget to grab a horchata as well. Definitely a great place for burritos or tacos
