Our visit to Hadramout was a delightful culinary experience that transported us straight to the heart of the Middle East. We tried the pampano fish, which was beautifully cooked—crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. It’s best enjoyed by hand, though be careful with the bones! The hanith lamb was equally impressive, with spot-on consistency and rich flavor. And that rice? Deliciously seasoned with shallots and raisins, adding just the right hint of sweetness.
The portions here are incredibly generous; our family of five left fully satisfied. The restaurant has a clean, cozy atmosphere, with majlis-style seating areas that make you feel right at home. Meeting the owner, Ayman, was a bonus—he’s warm, approachable, and clearly invested in his customers’ experience. We’ll definitely be back!
A couple of suggestions to make Hadramout even better:
1. The lemonade was a bit too sweet, even for my kids. A slight reduction in sugar would make it perfect.
2. A foot opener on the bathroom door would be a helpful touch, especially since many customers eat with their hands.
Overall, Hadramout is a wonderful addition to our go-to spots, and I’m already looking forward to our next meal there!
