Haemok Haeundae

I visited Haemok Haeundae and ordered the salmon & tuna negitoro don, kaisendon, and the assorted tempura. Everything was absolutely delicious — truly worthy of its Michelin recognition. The sashimi was very fresh, the rice was well seasoned, and the portions were generous, so we left completely full and satisfied. The tempura was light, crispy, and not greasy at all, which made it even better. If you’re looking for high-quality Japanese seafood in Haeundae, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

This is the place you come to experience the best grilled eel in town. It’s got that smokey flavor that you know took a lot of time and precision. The large version is definitely meant for two. The kaisen-dong was exceptional in its variety and cuts. There’s even an instruction sheet to help you make the most of your meal! Definitely a must eat spot in town!

Best restaurant in Busan! There are several Hitsumabushi restaurants in Busan, but I can bet that this is the best. The taste, service, and experience everything was perfect. There is a long waiting list, but it's worth it. If you use the "Tabling" app to waitlist online, it's more convenient. Strongly recommended!

It was so awesome! I had a perfect meal at this restaurant. The mood was so calm and staffs were kind to all of customers. Especially, the main dish was great and an explanation on the table was good to refer how to enjoy the meal better. I really recommend visiting here!

We were 54th on the waitlist, but we didn't really wait for long! About 45min, I'd say? But you're given either an email or text to see where you are in the line, so you're free to go and explore as you wait! Lots to see and do around the area 🩷 The service was great, super sweet and accommodating (they have both an EN and CN menu through a QR code). Food was amazingly good, a bit more on the blander side but I think that's better than overly seasoned or salty, especially when you're trying to really savor and enjoy the natural and rich flavors! Big portions,and you definitely get what you're paying for, if not more! Interior is very cozy, it felt like a little piece of Japan 🤭 Highly recommend coming, and don't be put off by the wait! It's worth it if you're in the area! (I believe you can make reservations online through Naver as well, but only walk-ins fri - sun !!)

This place was so good I went there twice! The signature eel menu was absolutely delicious and a must try. One of the best meals I had in Busan. The eel was smokey and nicely charred. The accompanying condiments added variety to the interesting flavor profile. The second time I tried the premium kaiseki bento box. It was so good and fresh.

We made a reservation via Naver and was swiftly brought to our table on the second level. My 6 year old mopped up every bit of his kid’s meal. We added a kaki fry and uni. I’m glad to be able to have authentic hitsumabushi in Busan!

Seriously good - fish is super fresh and they give you instructions on how to eat it to maximise flavour. Lives up to the Michelin Bib in my opinion. There is a virtual queuing system that you sign up to when you arrive via email or Kakao. I arrived 20 minutes before opening on a Monday and was 6 in the queue. Tried coming the afternoon before at ~2pm but there were ~60 parties waiting.
