Hands down our favorite coaster in the park! We raced over 15 minutes before closing and were thrilled they let us in line despite the hour-long wait. It was well worth the extra time in the park. The ride is incredibly smooth, the theming is top-notch, and that twist near the end is a total game-changer. A must-do for families!

Wow, just wow. This ride was by far my favorite ride at this park. The most unique and fun roller coaster I have ever experienced. It was not too intense, but still fun for the kids and the thrill seekers. The ride car is an epic motorcycle that accelerates and turns throughout the ride. It was smooth and intense. The part where they ran out of power was pretty cool and the drop part. We got to ride it at night. A great ride, perfect for anyone with incredible theming. Highly recommend.

This attraction is widely regarded as the most ambitious ride in the Wizarding World. From the moment you step into the queue, the theming sets the tone — winding paths through the forest, detailed props from Hagrid’s hut, and the anticipation of boarding either the motorbike or sidecar. The choice of seating isn’t just cosmetic; it changes the perspective of the ride, making repeat visits feel fresh. Once the ride begins, the storytelling blends seamlessly with coaster thrills. Animatronic creatures, sudden launches, and even a backward segment keep riders on edge in the best way possible. The Forbidden Forest feels alive, and the ride’s length ensures you get a full narrative experience rather than a quick thrill. While the wait times can be daunting, the payoff is extraordinary. For fans of both Harry Potter and roller coasters, this is a must‑do that delivers on every level.

One of the best roller coasters in Orlando. Haven't done SeaWorld, though. Top 3 with Velocicoaster and Stardust Racers. Ride the motorcycle if you can. Queue is pretty good too, keeps you somewhat amused during your 1-3 hour wait. It is ALWAYS long. Always. Last part gets tight, if you are claustrophobic you will not have a good time. But this is a great ride. If the line was shorter, we'd do it over and over.

Sorry it’s a very frustrating experience for me. Road sign lead me, a single rider, to the regular line. And instead of waiting 20 minutes, I was waiting on the regular line for 80 minutes then realize it is not the single line. CLEAR SIGNs needed at least, for your fellow fans, prepared to wait for hours for a ride in Christmas time

This is easily the best ride across all Universal parks. The ride itself is thrilling but less intense than the other rollercoasters, so slightly more kid friendly. The theming is excellent including in the queue. The major flaw with this ride is that without Express Pass you can end up waiting 3+ hours on a peak day - to make it worse, during our visit the posted wait time was half of what we actually ended up waiting, otherwise we would have just skipped it. The other problem is that the queue indoors can feel pretty tight even if you’re not claustrophobic - there are many winding underground tunnels that are not pleasant to be stuck waiting in for hours. With or without Express Pass, the ride is amazing but not worth an hours long wait and unfortunately for us the posted wait times were way, way off.

Easily one of the top three coasters I’ve ever ridden. As a Harry Potter fan, this ride is pure magic—it has everything. The bike seat is hands-down the better choice, but even the sidecar gives you an amazing experience. From the incredible animatronics (Fluffy was seriously cool) and theming to the bursts of speed, sudden drops, and even a backwards section, it keeps you grinning (and screaming) the whole way through. Universal absolutely nailed it with this one.

July 2025 Hagrid's Magical Creature Motorbike Adventure replaced Dragon Challenge where was my first time riding it. It was a very cool ride with many similarities to Disney's Expedition Everest - Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. The theme was super cool and perhaps may need to ride it twice to sit on the bike and in the sidecar. The ride was fast but not extreme.

Even if you get early entry and run straight here you are going to be in for a wait. Just deal... you're going to stand in line... a tip here... you can go here just before the park closes and they will let you ride. Basically if you're in line when the park closes they let you stay and go through until you ride. It is a LONG WAIT... but at least then you're not waisting 2 hours of other park time. And let me tell you... it is so very worth it! This ride has some surprises I store for you. I'm not going to give it away but this is a very interesting exciting ride even without the high falls or loops. This ride stands on its own and is fun fun fun.. so fun we stood in line in the morning and then did it again that night! This is a must ride rollercoaster! You cannot come to Harry Potter land and not ride this ride! I swear on my brother's life... if you don't ride this ride you will regret it! (By the way I don't have a brother, but still... seriously it is a must!)

One of the greatest roller coasters in Florida, and probably in the top 10 in the WORLD! This incredible attraction has record breaking elements, fantastic theming, onboard audio and fun motorbike and side car ride vehicles. BE WARNED! This coaster is susceptible to early shutdowns due to weather. And it notoriously has a very long line. BUT! This is a truly incredible attraction, and an engineering feat by Universal. 5 out of 5 stars!

I loved this ride! It felt so much faster than all the others and I loved the moments of acceleration and all the amazing visuals throughout. Seeing Hagrid was awesome. It's so worth getting there early to ride.

Went to take a motorcycle lesson (some sort of muggle contraption) with Hagrid, but it all went wrong, and we ended up in the forbidden forest! Would've been less stars for that traumatic experience, but the surprise at the end and Hagrid's quick thinking made up for it. In all seriousness, this is one of my favorite rides in the park. If you can get the front car, it really does feel like you're riding a motorcycle. The back car is my least favorite since you're a beat behind the storyline and it is more prone to motion sickness. There's always a long wait, but with how they load with the constantly moving walkway I find the time is usually less than posted.

I can't begin to tell you how much I love this ride. The theming is perfection. From the queue, until the actual ride, you are immersed in the world of HP. I have ridden in both the side car and the bike. I have to admit, I enjoyed the side car more as it was a bit more comfy. The acceleration points were out of this world. I highly recommend trying to ride it both during the day and at night. Both have different feels! This is hands down, my favorite ride at Universal/IOA.

Wow. What a ride! I had heard that you should get to Hagrid's first then when the park opens since it is awesome and super popular. Everyone was right. When I visited last month with my family, the ride definitely had some technical problems (it was closed when we entered the park), but we watched the wait times on the app and went when the line was less than 90 minutes. But - yes, there will be lines - it's the most popular HP ride! But it was totally worth it. What a ride. I laughed, I giggled, I gasped! Such fun. If the line hadn't been so long, I definitely would have gone back for a second turn. (FYI if you're thinking of joining the single rider line to save time, make sure to ask staff at the head of the line, because when we visited, the single rider line was longer than the main line!) Worth it. Just suck it up, entertain yourselves in the line, and enjoy the ride. Deserves the hype.

This is such a fun ride! Definitely one of my favorites! Smooth, not jerky at all - great gateway roller coaster for your friends that are faint of heart at Harry Potter World You get a choice of taking the sidecar or the motorbike. Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is located in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the Hogsmeade section of Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure theme park. The ride opened on June 13, 2019 and was the sixth Harry Potter attraction created for Universal Studios. It replaced the Dragon Challenge rollercoaster which closed on September 4, 2017. Built at a cost of 300 million dollars it was the most expensive roller coaster built from 2019 to 2022. It is also unique because it is the longest rollercoaster in Florida and has a record setting 7 launches. It is also one of the only coasters in the United States to have a free fall drop 17 feet straight down. You enter the ride queue by passing through the archway where you go through the Forbidden Forest. After traveling through the outdoor area you enter the castle where you can see Robbie Coltrane's final performance as Hagrid before his death in 2022. The preshow also stars Mark Williams, who reprised the role of Arthur Weasley. The premise of the ride is that you and the other muggles will arrive at a special Care of Magical Creatures class at the edge of the Forbidden Forest on a duplicate of Hagrid's motorbike which was once owned by Sirius Black. Of course things don't go according to plan. Once you board the ride you have your choice of the motorbike or sidecar. My daughter had already been on it before and she sweetly insisted I take the bike. As soon as you turn out of the station you hit the first launch. I wasn't sure how thrilling a coaster could be without loops but this ride took my breath away several times. Along the way you go through Hagrid' hut and then have an encounter with everyone's favorite three headed dog, Fluffy. Right after that you pass through a cave where the Cornish Pixies have taken over Arthur Weasley's broken-down flying Ford Anglia. It feels like your bike is taking flight as the track runs out and you are suspended in air by Hagrid's spell before racing backwards to entered a dark cave where you are entangled in Devil's Snare. I wasn't expecting what happened next, a freefall straight down which felt like it made my heart stop. You just about recover your breath when you are nearly blasted by fire by Blast-Ended Skrewts as you take off racing again finally ending at the magical unicorns before you exit the ride. I would have loved to have gone on this ride more than once but the wait was at 3 to 4 hours all day long. It is just as well because while I was fine on it, my daughter is prone to motion sickness and she gets an upset stomach and headache. We carry medicine for her when this happens because she won't skip this ride. My daughter and I utilized the single rider lines many times throughout the day for other rides to cut down on the ride wait times but they never opened the single rider line for Hagrid's. We finally got on as the last ride of the night and it was worth the wait. I love how immersive in the story the entire ride is and of course it is especially poignant to Harry Potter fans as we have lost Robbie Coltrane. Getting to experience Hagrid in this new way was one of the top highlights of my day. I didn't even take pictures like I usually do because I just wanted to be in the moment. This along with VelociCoaster are in my opinion the two top rides in the park. Hats off to Universal Creative for the amazing job they did on this ride. It is going to be delighting Universal Park visitor's for many years to come.

This is our favorite family ride in the park. Just the right amount of story and thrill to take you zooming through the forbidden forest. As a mom of 2 kids, one who isn't a huge fan of roller coasters, this is hands down his absolute favorite in the park and a must do every time we come.

This past summer was my family's first trip to Universal Orlando, where we enjoyed three days in the park. As annual pass holders for Universal Studios Hollywood, we were mostly excited to see the things that don't also exist closer to home. certainly, there are parts of the Harry Potter land in Orlando that are far superior to our California version; among these, was Hagrid's magical creatures ride. As others have mentioned and you no doubt would have guessed anyway, the wait time in line can be downright geological! We enjoyed this ride two times, once during the day, and another at night. In both cases, I think we waited around 90 minutes in line, although others with whom we spoke while waiting shared they had previously waited even longer than that. Sprayers and fans do their best to keep the queue cool, and the designers of the exterior did their best to distract you from your watch with themed decorations. The ride itself is one of the best I've ever enjoyed. Hagrid is one of the favored characters among fans, affable and huge in size and personality. His comic relief in the books is matched in the narrative of this ride, which Jets you along on either a motorbike, or in the sidecar. as a bigger guy, I appreciated that I could ride the motorbike, and unlike a few other rides in the park, nothing crushed my rib cage to the point of being unable to breathe in the restraints. Plenty of twists and turns, some surprise accelerations, and a few other non-ballistic motion spoilers that I won't ruin for you. All the while, Hagrid sort of narrates the ride, complete with corny humor that is not entirely unpleasant. Pro tip: watch the weather, and try to learn a thing or two about climatology and meteorology as you time your visit to this or any other ride. Because part of the ride is outside, lightning in the area will delay or shut it down outright. during our visit the first week of July, big Florida thunderstorms rolled in around 11 AM, and blew out by 5PM or so. You may want to plan your visit, especially during the summer, in a way that allows you to enjoy these fair sky - reliant attractions when they're open. As it turned out, we were among the last group to get on the ride before they delayed operations due to thunderstorms. That is a real downer when you've already waited in line for over an hour to be shut down right at the gate. Sorry it happened to the people behind us, but glad it wasn't us I suppose. All part of the gamble of visiting a theme park in Florida during the summer. Pro tip number two: purchase your cooling towels and plastic parkas online or at your favorite retail store before you arrive at the park, where are you will pay a premium for both. both of these items came in handy during our visit. We can't wait to visit again, and we look forward to enjoying this roller coaster as a family.

My favorite ride at Universal / Islands of Adventure not getting a perfect 5 because they don't offer express yet and the wait times are insane !!! But man this coaster is fun. Love the theme and details put into the ride and queue. Love that we come face to face with Hagrid himself !! The backwards part and drop are my favorite. Omg that drop is so unexpected. Ahhh I just love this ride Sooooo much !!! especially since I'm a huge Harry Potter fan !!

This ride is one of the best rides I've ever been on! I love how you either sit on a motorcycle or in a side car, that's so unique. It's a super fast ride. It will launch you and speed up at different parts. It goes straight up and back down. It goes backwards and there is an unexpected drop. It's smooth and not jerky at all. It's just totally awesome! Best ride!

This is a really quick, fast ride with 0 simulation. You're strapped into the seat and going at high speeds. No crazy turns, but there is a surprise drop. I wasn't a fan of the delays because the ride kept breaking down. One guy told me it was his 4th attempt at going on. Yes, the ride broke down 3 x and he had to leave. Overall, if you love speed and Hagrid's character this is your ride.

Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is one our favorite rides at Universal Islands of Adventure. Originally, we had the Mummy as our favorite ride out of all of Universal's offering, but we recently had a chance to ride Hagrid's, multiple times, during our stay over New Years. Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is located at Universal's Islands of Adventure within Harry Potter. The ride is Hagrid's theme and takes you on a Motorbike Adventure within Hagrid's area. You'll see certain creatures throughout the ride. This ride is fast and has lots of thrills. It's a two seater ride and your party can get separated depending on the queue line. The ride has several fast launches, a drop track, and quick turns. In the description, it does state that it's family friendly, however, I'd be concerned if certain family members are not used to fast rollercoasters. My daughter loves thrill rides, so it wasn't a problem! The motorbike has the side seat and the bike part. Both are completely different experiences, so I'd highly recommend doing this ride twice to experience both parts. I personally like the Motorbike as you feel like you're actually riding a motorcycle. My daughter preferred the side car. It's an extremely fun ride! Be prepared for a wait. We rode it 4 times and all of the wait times varied between 45 minutes to 2 hours. Make sure to monitor the Universal Studios application so you can check the wait time on the ride. Express pass is not accepted yet for Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure.

My 2nd favorite ride. Other than being a huge Harry Potter fan, I love the variations of the ride: the speed, twists, turns, the backwards, drop, love it. Reason for the docked star, is the wait always takes forever. Sure, you get to go through all the Harry Potter/Hogwarts themed rooms, but the wait being 2 hours, if not longer at times can be rough standing around, when you already walk a good amount to get to this ride. I recommend keeping phone (certain parts, there is no cell connection btw) on you for entertainment, besides relying on the people you wait with.

This is a fantastic addition to the park. We did have to wait 100 minutes so go and pee before you get in line. There is a lot of shade whilst in line and the level of detail in the approach to the ride is typical of the whole park ... Sensational. The ride was a blast and will be very popular for years to come, I am sure. Don't leave the park without doing this. It is awesome.

This ride does not have an express lane fyi! That's why I docked a star off. However, the ride itself is great! Not the best, but still awesome! I didn't expect that one drop but I loved it. Thrill ride lovers will have a blast! I don't want to spoil things for first timers, so that's all I will say about it. The line for the ride was pretty long, though and my group probably waited about an hour plus. It would be great if this ride had an express lane.

This ride is my new favorite! I'm a big Harry Potter fan and also love coasters. This one is not as large and intense as other coasters at the park like velocicoaster and the hulk, so it can appeal to more people. A lot of fun elements for fans of Harry Potter but enjoyable for anyone even without HP knowledge. Some unexpected moves and is a fun, fast coaster!

I don't wanna ruin any of the ride but holy shit was that amazing!!!!!!! If you have vertigo don't ride the side car and recommend riding the motorcycle like you ride a horse to avoid any kind of head stuff.. SPOILER ALERT: *do not read more if you don't want to know more about the ride* That insane drop with the spell !?!!!! Like what!? The acceleration parts, THE ENGINE CUT OFF AND GO BACKWARDS .. WOW. The best ride at those parks.

Hold onto your hats! I can't believe how fast this ride was. I almost flew off! This tops anything at Disneyworld, but man is it fast. Like crazy fast! If you are coming to Orlando visit this ride!

Fun roller coaster and interesting ride, but we stood in line for an hour before we got to the front of Hogwarts then it was another 42 minutes before getting in a motorbike (30 minutes longer than the posted wait time). We didn't get sick or smashed around. Hopefully the lines will be much shorter next time.

Definitely my favorite ride of the three parks on my first visit to Disney World (ok, ok, so I'm 39 nine years late, but, hey, I made it)!! Pretty smooth coaster compared to many in the Disney parks. Loved the switch to backwards rolling, and the vertical drop was totally unexpected and totally awesomsauce!! The three gentlemen in line in front of us went to Ohio State University, so chatting with em made the hour-and-a-half wait in line move pretty good. I rode in the sidecar along with one of the friends who happens to live a stones throw from Universal, so his sarcasm and hints made the ride even more fun. I highly suggest if your making a trip down to Disney World in general that you make Universal a priority and get tickets for a day pass here. You won't regret it!

Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is hands down one of the best rides at the park and is one of the best roller coasters I've ridden as well. It is a thrill ride, but I don't love it only for the thrill -- the innovation that came with this ride is absolutely incredible. It doesn't even go up that high but puts you through speeds of up to 80 mph, and it's just a roller coaster that's so futuristic. We had the privilege of riding this ride (and I say privilege because this ride has at LEAST an hour wait on even the slowest days) and though the line moves by pretty quickly -- it's easily one of the least efficient rides at the park due to the ride architecture. The ride puts you through a bunch of unexpected twists and turns and even drops! And you only won't go forwards, you'll go backward as well. You will think the ride is over at one point but don't be alarmed as you'll be launched again at speeds of up to 80 mph and continue this amazing journey. You get to choose between a cart and a bike for your seat; I personally like the seat but both seats offer an exceptional experience. Once you get on this ride, you'll know exactly why the ride is always a long wait. It's something you've never experience before and you'll be left wanting for more. Make sure to check this one out despite the wait; you won't regret it at all.

This is hands down our favorite ride at Universal. Unfortunately there isn't an express pass line but typically there is a single rider line available. But if you go in the single rider line, you miss going through the cue and seeing some of the amazing details. You will see Hagrid's hut in the line and a number of magical creatures. Because this is such an amazing ride, you can airways expect it to have the longest line.

We tried THREE times for this ride and finally made it. It's insane. But I would say it still worth investing the time if you are a Harry Potter fan. The ride is special, the castle and rooms are unique. Easily the best ride of Harry Potter series and one of the best in the island of adventure. Next time, I will wisely use my time and explore it again. The most special ride we took at universal studios in this trip

10 STARS (if I could) YESSSSS!!! Let me preface by saying I'm not a fan of coasters and I've not been on one in about 15 years! But I've had it on my list to ride this thing since it opened however the wait time is ALWAYS sooo long! Well I finally did it!! Wait time posted was 90 minutes however it actually ended up being 2 hours. BUT SO WORTH THE WAIT! When I tell you this ride is EPIC you best believe! Now I know WHY there's such a long wait for this thing all the time. The line seemed like it was never ending once you enter the castle and wind down tunnels and rooms however we FINALLY reached the end where the ride loads folks and we were so lucky to get the front car! To board the ride you walk out onto a conveyor type walkway that's moving, so be careful and move quick to board your car. It's a motorbike and a sidecar -- my daughter got on the motorbike and I did the sidecar. Starts off slow but then once you turn the corner this thing takes off and WOWZA does it go FAST! I'm typically holding onto the lap bar but this one my arms were up the entire time. You race through turns and loops and drops (not too steep though) then as you go racing straight up the track you come to dead end mid air climb! You see the end of the track and think for a quick moment HUH...then the ride races you backwards! You enter a foggy dark tunnel that has some star type lighting above and as you are looking around the coaster DROPS straight down!...onto another track! This is just NEXT LEVEL! Then you go racing even FASTER around more turns and loops! This ride is PRETTY DANG AMAZING! And a MUST DO. If the wait is long, trust me, wait in the line. You won't regret it!!! This ride will leave you wanting to ride again and a memory you'll not forget. I LOVED THIS RIDE. Well done Universal IOA you KILLED it with this!!

Best ride in the park I thought. More intense than I was expecting but in all the best ways. Didn't feel like I was going to die like some of the other coasters. The theming was really good and it was intense but in a fun way. Plus I got mad love for hagrid.

Weeeee! AAAhhhhhh! What a super fun ride! 120 minute wait and I never wait for rides but this was worth it. The newest addition to the Harry Potter Wizarding World did not accept Fast Pass or Single Riders on this day so come early. I'm not a rollercoaster fan and only got on because my family wanted to go so I rode on the side car and was scared to death screaming the whole time! The speed (approx 50 miles an hour) felt more like 90 mph. It was crazy fun. You see all the magical forest creatures so look out for the half man half horse but they should have put a herd of them because if you blink you'll miss him. We went at night so it had a spookier feeling especially when you see the fog! There was a point when the ride stopped in a dark cave, not sure if it was just a delay or what, but it was creepy. Overall, you gotta do it! It's now my favorite ride!

This is HONESTLY the best ride I've ever experienced in my life and it absolutely WORTH the wait ! It is so popular that there is always a wait time, but it is very interesting, thrilling and interacting. There are many things to look at and discover for yourself while waiting for your ride. Absolutely would recommend to every Harry Potter Fan!!! In love!

I just LOVE this ride. I still don't understand why some days it is virtual queue and some days are standby. Either way, it is an awesome ride! I would ride it all day if I could. Use the lockers!! I'll post this a lot for rides, but use the lockers, they are there for you to put stuff in (for free for the smaller lockers). I won't spoil anything, but it is amazing. Enjoy the ride, press the purple button, and ride it again :)

This ride is arguably one of the best roller coasters I've even been on. It's a 2 seater- 1 on the motorcycle and 1 in the side car. They have a single rider option so if there is an odd party of people, they grab a single rider to join. The ride is outside so you fee the breeze and the car keeps accelerating at points throughout the track. Such a unique experience for a ride!

Great! Roller coaster in Islands of Adventure. I've been trying to get on this ride for a while now. When it's busy at the park though you need to get in the virtual line on the app in order to even wait in the line for the ride which was another 75 minutes for us (during spring break). Definitely worth the wait but I think people should have the option to wait in line for 2 to 3 hours if they want. If you don't get the virtual line at first, they release spots through the app at 11, 2 and 4. The ride itself is my favorite since I've finally been able to ride it. Fast roller coaster like you are on a motorcycle with twists, turns and surprises. It does not go upside down so if you are fearful of that, you can still ride this roller coaster. Observed cleaning of the ride right after it came back to the station and employees give everyone hand sanitizer before you board the ride.

Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike adventure is located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It opened in June of this year and has all of the locals talking. Original wait times where the longest that I have ever heard of. Visitors who entered the line at the opening of the park averaged around eight hours and the wait time grew as the day progressed. We waited a few months and visited during a week day and at the start of a mini slow season with the start of school. The ride is a roller coaster ride where you are seated on a motorbike that has a side car. The ride speeds you past Hogwarts Castle and through the Forbidden Forrest. During the ride creatures chase you and be prepared for pop outs...There is also a drop. The best or worst part depending on how much you like roller coasters is the rapid turning from side to side. It is a crazy ride that is not for the faint of heart or anyone who experiences motion sickness. I didn't see any daredevils with their hands in the air it was more like grasping on real tight with huge smiles or green faces.

There's no competition here- this is the BEST ride at both Universal and Islands of Adventure parks. It's so unique from other roller coasters- I mean you quite literally feel like you're riding in a flying motor bike, I don't know how to quite describe it but it's insane. SO FUN. And you go so fast at points- up to 60 mph!! Not to mention it's all Harry Potter themed, so for a Potterhead like myself it can't get much better than this, it's just so magical and fantastical. Even though it breaks down kind of a lot (or at least it did pre-covid) it is so worth a long wait. Ugh just the best, that is all! I do recommend, because this is such a popular ride, downloading the Universal app. Hagrid has a virtual line that you can reserve through the app and that's the only way to ride, so if you don't have the app you simply won't be able to ride. Even if you do get the app, literally check back at least once an hour if not more (it seems extreme but I probably do it several times every 10 minutes until it's finally available) because it goes that fast and you never know when times will open. And it's all so worth it. You can also walk right up to Hagrid and get in line if you are able to get in through early admission before the park is open, which is also a great option ! Best ride!

I'm not a roller coaster person. I think the older I've gotten, the more that the fear of death just seems like that.... death, and nothing more. Unfortunately for me, my girlfriend and her friends don't feel the same way... so I was forced to be the good boyfriend and go with her on this ride. First off, the wait for the ride throughout the day never went below 2 hours. I thought that was a bit excessive, until my girlfriend informed me that it was up to as much as 10 hours when it first came out. So after some obligatory whining from myself, and a couple of weather delays from some periodic sun showers, we finally got through the que and headed inside. Going through the line didn't feel tedious to be honest. The set designs around you were all top notch and really immersive. Loved the little hologram show they put on near the beginning. There's a whole cave section that gets pretty tight, however, and I would not recommend this ride for anyone who is claustrophobic. The seats on the ride itself are interesting and are separated into seats of 2. They are individual seats however, and are meant to look like a motorcycle and it's little cab seat on the side. I found the motorcycle seat more comfortable, as I was able to grab on to the handlebars, giving me a little extra stability. Once the ride starts, it really gets going. It's FAST! The animatronics along the way we're pretty outstanding as well. Also, the ride just felt so smooth. None of the constant vibrations I'm used to with other roller coasters I've been on. No constant jerking motions during turns either. It's fast paced and thrilling, but not in the way that will leave you with neck pains the next day. It was surprisingly enjoyable all the way through. There seems to also be a lot of new technology implemented on this ride too. There's a point where the track literally separates and drops on to another track. A bit of a stomach churning feeling, but cool nonetheless. Overall, this ride was surprisingly way more fun than I thought it would be. Clearly, a lot of thought went in to not only designing the ride itself, but all the great nods to different characters, creatures and adventures within the Harry Potter universe. I loved it and I'm not even big into the franchise, so I can imagine that most Potter fans who ride this ride will absolutely be blown away.

Hagrids Motorbike Adventure is Universal's exciting new addition to Islands of Adventure lineup. When it first opened, people were waiting 8 hrs for this ride! While I don't think I'd wait quite that long, anything 2 hrs or less is totally worth it! During my recent trip, it rained one afternoon and the ride went down after waiting 2 hours. They did give us a red pass (the only pass you can use to skip the line since there is no express for this ride!). Today (Friday), I came at Park opening to redeem my pass. Lines were already a 90 minute wait due to early park access. I enjoyed it so much that when the virtual line came up later, I decided to try and grab another ride time. Although the socially distanced line looks daunting, I got in line around 1:35 and had ridden the ride by 2:21. (Your results may vary due to weather and mechanical issues) First time I rode in the side car. The second time, I rode the motorbike. I preferred the motorbike. For you coaster enthusiasts, it's a launch coaster with multiple launches as well as a track drop in one part. Definitely worth a ride at least once!

Waited about an hour to get on this ride with my 8 and 10 year old boys. This is more of a roller coaster than the 4-D interactive rides they have in the park, like escape from Gringotts. I prefer the roller coaster as the jerking around and the 3-D animation gives me a headache after a while. Haven't rode a rollercoaster in a long time but this was fun. Nice storyline to go with it and impressive acceleration. My 8 year old who isn't a big fan of roller coasters and fast rides really liked this one. I'd recommend it but don't know if I would wait more than 2 hours for it.

Great ride. Just very frustrating that it is not included in the express pass. You would think paying $750 for two people and two express passes for ONE DAY that this ride would be included.

This is the most incredible ride in the park! I am so excited we actually got a spot in the line, this ride can be incredibly difficult to get on even after being open for a couple of years. Availability warning! As we were arriving at Universal, the gentleman from the Universal transportation van warned us that the ride was "sold out" most of the time and it was very hard to get a spot. So we made sure to arrive as early as possible to get on the ride. The actual line started very far from the Wizard World, in the Lost Continent. It quickly closed and became a virtual only line, which also ran out of times for the day. At this time, you really need to plan to get on this ride! Once in line, it was almost a two hour wait as well. So, even if you get a virtual time, staff reported it was to get into a very long line, not to get to the front of the line. Was it worth it? Yes!!!!! When we finally got into the Wizarding World, the line wound around several other attractions, so you got sort of a "tour" of the area. Once it got into the actual queue for the ride, the sites were amazing. I loved all of the detailing. I loved the pumpkin patch with the large seeds popping out of the garden. It was a total Fall vibe and I loved it. Inside you get a look at so many creatures, for all of you Hufflepuffs and super fans, this ride is uncontrollably adorable. I also loved the special effect where Fang was wandering around Hagrid's home, so life like and video worthy. Once you get on the actual ride the car is so adorable, you have a motorbike and sidecar. I rode the sidecar because I did not want to ruin the experience for those in my family who were looking forward to the motorbike. If I ever get to ride this again, I will switch seats. The ride itself is a nice long ride with many fast twists and turns. I do not want to ruin the experience with spoilers (I avoided watching POV videos so I could be surprised on the ride), but keep your eyes open for more magical creatures, and hold on tight, it does go pretty fast. This is a must do attraction, fan or not! You will not regret it! I can't wait to come back. Hopefully the line will be a little shorter in the next few years. Next stop for me...Veloci Coaster!!!!

Best ride in the two parks! The line is LONGGGGG. I'm talking at least a mile. And while the line is whimsical and they did a great job, I highly doubt we all love hanging around for lines. My suggestion Since it does not have an express lane-- MAKE THIS YOUR FIRST RIDE!

It is a crazy zip all around the Forbidden Forest and Hogwarts castle... on Hagrid's motorbike! Simply put, if you pass this one up, you will forever regret missing out and you will surely die lonely.

BAR NONE 1 of the Best Coasters I've ever ridden.Its a MUST u ride on the MotoBike to have the Full experience.The flow is incredible and just when you think its over....Seriously would fly out to Florida just to ride this again!!

Can barley tell it's there from the main park minus the motorcycle sounds but not going to spoil the ride you just need to ride it.

Hands down, the best ride at Universal. Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure has a little bit of everything we love in a roller coaster: it goes fast, has some surprising thrill moments and is interactive. I love the use of robotics on this ride. A blast-ended skrewt, fluffy, pixies, a centaur and unicorns are several of the magical creatures you get to "interact" with on the ride. This is the most popular ride in the entire park so be prepared to wait. On busy days, you will have to register for a virtual line on the Universal app. Many times, people will arrive early in the park in order to wait in the line to ride. Hint, try to ride during lunch time as most families will be eating. The line for this ride is very cool. You get to see Hagrid's hut, his garden, check out his magical creatures "classroom" and more.

Good ride but one thing the ride lacks: Thrills Yes it has launches, yes it has a drop track, yes it has immersive theming and incredible storytelling. But man the Achilles heel is the thrills Where is it at? Give me a vertical drop. Give me a loop. Give me some sort of airtime to make me in shock. Thank goodness for Velocicoaster otherwise it's a good ride but misses that one thing

I loved this ride. I was there during Covid (11-6-20). The line was spaced out every six feet. Everyone wore their masks. You sanitized before and after the ride. I felt safe. There are several accelerations on this ride and a few surprises. We rode it three times!! Even if you don't know a lot about Harry Potter- this ride is still worth it!

Amazing. The theming, queue, staff, ride...very immersive experience. Warning, the queue does get cramped at one spot, you're in a narrow cave.

One of my top coasters at universal Florida... it is suitable for all ages but no matter the age, everyone will enjoy it. Wait time is usually 75 mins, so express pass can help (but is expensive - $80-$100)
