Hai Si is a fantastic new addition to Aspen! The Japanese-Spanish fusion concept is unique and works beautifully. As someone from Spain, I was especially excited to see jamón ibérico on the menu—but what truly surprised me was the sushi. The nigiri, in particular, was outstanding—some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. The jamón nigiri was my favorite, though every piece was so flavorful and exceptional that we ordered a second round. Other highlights included the pan con tomate, crispy olives, and octopus. Our server was warm, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which really added to the experience. The restaurant itself is stunning, with a vibrant atmosphere and an excellent cocktail and wine selection. I look forward to returning soon and highly recommend Hai Si to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience in Aspen.

If I could give Hai Sí Aspen more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Our group had the privilege of dining in their stunning private room, and from start to finish, the entire evening was unforgettable. The space itself is beautifully designed—intimate yet elegant, with an ambiance that makes you feel both relaxed and transported at the same time. It’s the perfect setting for a celebration, special occasion, or simply treating yourself to something extraordinary. The food? Truly next level. Every dish was a work of art—fresh, creative, and bursting with flavor. Chef Yoshi Okai’s blend of Japanese precision with Spanish flair is unlike anything I’ve experienced before. From the delicate sushi to the bold, inventive small plates, each course was memorable and left us eager for the next. And please DO NOT FORGET to order the arguably life changing Short Rib and finish this unforgettable culinary journey with the Tofu Mochi Churros with a Matcha Chocolate Sauce (still dreaming of these). Then there’s the service: impeccable. The staff struck that rare balance of being attentive, knowledgeable, and warm without ever being intrusive. We felt cared for the entire night, which made the evening flow effortlessly and added so much to the experience. Hai Sí Aspen is more than just a restaurant—it’s an experience I’ll never forget. If you’re in Aspen and looking for something truly special (especially if you have a group and want to enjoy the private dining room), this is the place. I can’t wait to go back!

Wow. Wow. Wow. This was our first time here and we sat in the private room. It’s sexy and an amazing vibe. The food was incredible. We tried pretty much one of everything and I don’t know if I can even pick a favorite. Will come here every time we come to Aspen, wow.

Hai Si is AMAZING! It is such an eccentric spot. The wagyu tenderloin was so soft and buttery. The pan con tomate was such a great appetizer and all flavors were rich and savory. I loved the scallion oil served with the fried roll is a must have. James was very nice and had great recommendations.

A Unique Culinary Gem in Aspen! My wife and I had an unforgettable dinner at Hai Si, easily the most exciting new addition to Aspen’s dining scene. The concept—a fusion of Spanish tapas and Japanese sushi—sounds bold, but they absolutely nailed it. Every dish was beautifully presented and expertly executed. The standout for us was the Iberico & caviar roll—rich, luxurious, and bursting with flavor. The tapas were just as impressive, offering bold Spanish flavors that paired surprisingly well with the delicate precision of the sushi. Service was warm and attentive, and the ambiance struck the perfect balance between upscale and relaxed. Whether you’re a devoted foodie or simply in the mood for something unique, Hai Si is more than worth the visit. We’ll definitely be back.

Everything about Hai Si was 5/5. The space is stunning and sexy. The cocktails are delicious. And, most importantly, the food is unmatched. Absolutely the best nigiri I’ve ever had. Will be back for more and more.

My first time at Hai Si was incredible. Private room was perfect for our group. We did the chef selection for our whole experience, and every bite left me wanting to come back ASAP. Combination of cultures was seamless and service was next level. Thank you Hai Si for a great night & see you again soon.

Yelp
Ambiance - an amazing addition to aspen, chill & hidden in the lower level Service - exceptional, manager was very accommodating to our group of 7, our server was also friendly Food - sushi was out of this world (fish was fresh, high recommend the chutoro and the toro), Chuleton was the star of the night (cooked to perfection at medium rare & came with the fluffiest/airiest mashed potatoes

Yelp
Just went to this this stunning new Japanese restaurant with girlfriends and it's hands down the vibey-est spot in town. The moment you walk in, you're wrapped in an atmosphere that's equal parts intimate, cozy, and aesthetically stunning. Dim lighting, modern Japanese minimalism, and an energy that feels both elevated and relaxed. The food was incredible! This is by far the best Asian cuisine I've had in Aspen. Every dish we ordered was spot-on -- bold flavors, beautifully balanced, and presented like art. And unlike so many other places in town, the portions were actually generous, which made sharing even more fun. You can tell there's real care behind every plate. Service was just as impressive. The team made us feel completely taken care of from start to finish -- warm, attentive, and never rushed. It felt like dining at a friend's (very chic) home. They also have a private dining room that I'm already planning to book for my next birthday -- it's vibey, cozy, and perfect for a celebratory night with close friends. Aspen needed this!!
