"From two Center City locations and one in the King of Prussia mall, Hai Street offers poke in bowls, salads, and burritos. Along with the traditional fish, chicken and crab are options." - Rachel Vigoda

I always get a great meal here. The last time I went I received the biggest sushi burrito to date! So delicious and satisfying. Big enough to share…but truth be told I did not share with anyone. I ate the whole thing! LOL!

I’ve been a Hai Street Kitchen fan for a VERY long time, so when the 40th Street location closed, I was bummed because that one was the closest to home and work. However, while I was running some errands in Center City one Saturday afternoon and decided to break for lunch, I figured I would check out the 18th and Chestnut location and treat myself to a sushi burrito. While Hai Street has preset menu options, I always prefer to customize my own sushi burritos, and the staff is always very accommodating to my requests. I usually gravitate towards grilled chicken, chicken katsu, or shrimp tempura with ginger miso dressing, and carrots, garnished with fried garlic and tempura crunch. Sometimes they offer seasonal toppings such as pineapple so I often add that in if it is available. Hai Street better not leave Center City, because if they do, I won’t know where else to get my sushi burrito fix!

Decent and quick poke bowls, but not as much variety as other poke places that I've been to Atmosphere: Casual, mostly a takeout place with a few seating areas. I haven't seen a long wait line yet, even though I have come in around popular lunch times. They generally move very quickly with making the poke bowls (5 minutes max). Food: Pretty standard poke bowl; I'm happy with the portion sizes of tuna, salmon, and toppings that they give. My only complaints are that the bowl isn't super well blended between the vegetable base and the toppings, so you need to mix them yourself (or else just end up eating a lot of yummy protein at first, and then mouthfuls of spinach). There also isn't a huge variety of toppings - they have the basics (avocado, tomato, cucumber), but you can find these at all poke places, pretty much. There aren't toppings here that really make this spot stand out - for example, I love seaweed salad and masago as toppings, which aren't offered. Overall: - Overall average. The service is very quick and you get a standard poke bowl. I probably would prefer other poke spots nearby with a greater variety of toppings, but the low wait time is great for a quick lunch option.

The service was fast and pretty easy, even with a gluten-free and dairy-free member (who the people behind the counter worked hard to accommodate and be certain that the ingredients were gluten-free and dairy-free). I regretted finishing my burrito as soon as it was gone because I could have eaten it over and over again, it was absolutely delicious. The vegetables seemed fresh, the flavors lovely, and the options plentiful. It was counter-order, but we could sit in the many stools with a counter facing out towards the street, which was lovely and bright.

The slammin salmon is the best. Definitely give it a try. You get two of the best thing in ONE sushiritto. 🤗🤗

One of the best sushi items I've ever eaten. We were very impressed and will definitely eat there again!

I like this place. I've been twice and particularly dig the sushi burrito thing they've got going on. The only bummer is that they discontinued the roasted beets as a vegetarian option, which really means there isn't really a vegetarian option any more in terms of a main ingredient. Basically, it feels like I'm getting a less awesome dish for the same price because it's basically just rice and salad now. Sad. I will say they hold up well as takeout, though. And the people working there are quite nice.

Not bad. I got shrimp tempura roll and it was good except for one thing. They don't have plain avocado. They carry avocado salsa. So if you want to get your favorite roll super sized and it has avocado, you'd have to get avocado salsa. It just tastes off. Like a sushi roll with salsa in it. I wish they put a little more protein as well. Feels like too much of veggies and not enough protein. Otherwise it was pretty good, in a weird way because of the salsa.
