My partner and I would like to extend our heartfelt compliments to three outstanding team members from HDL Bugis: Wilson Cheng Jian (new staff), Wen Jie from Men Shi (host), and Mei Xiu Jie.
Our dining experience began with Wilson, who, despite being new, impressed us with his friendliness, professionalism, and eagerness to learn. He was attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcomed right from the start.
During our meal, a small but memorable incident occurred. My partner decided to open a Panda blind box gift to thank her student. I was recording the moment when, by accident, the panda figurine dropped into our tomato soup base. The white-and-black panda quickly turned orange from the soup.
As I stepped out to rinse it off, Wen Jie, the host, noticed and immediately offered to help. Without hesitation, he took the figurine and washed it for us. His kindness and initiative really touched us.
When we returned to our table, Mei Xiu Jie came over with Zappy’s brand wipes to help clean the panda further. I even captured a photo it perfectly sums up her thoughtfulness. Thanks to her help, the little panda slowly turned white again.
These small acts of care made a big impression on us. We were deeply moved by the level of service and the genuine warmth shown by all three staff members. They truly went above and beyond, turning what could’ve been an unfortunate moment into a heartwarming one.
And to top it all off, Wen Jie and the team surprised us at the end of our meal with a self-customised fox! It was such a lovely and unexpected gesture that filled us with love and happiness.
This entire experience reminded us why HDL is such a wonderful place to dine. Please extend our sincere thanks and recognition to Wilson, Wen Jie, and Mei Xiu Jie. They deserve to be acknowledged for their exceptional service.
