bad attitude, most terrible tasting ever. it's like just all the ingredients thrown into the box and got together because they can't be bothered to actually the leaves to separate them. the flour was not cooked and it just broke into pieces, filling was falling out. it will be zero star if i can choose that.

Now moved across to Mr Teh Terik eating house. Overpriced- and more ridiculous- rigid policy on 4pcs ANY two flavors! So 3 peanut and 1 coconut should be alright? NO! The lady taking our order says ONLY 2 peanut and 2 coconut! COME ON! What’s the difference!?????? Don’t be so rigid and inflexible. We actually wanted 2 gula, 1 peanut and 1 coconut - not even allowed. Tsk tsk tsk! Bad marketing and selling strategy. And it’s $5.. 4 pcs And it’s so small.! And the new peanut flavor, again a mislabel - it’s actually peanut butter - NOT NICE. Better if it’s dry crushed peanuts and sugar. And the gula Melaka, so much less gula inside now - look at the pics- it’s NOT enjoyable anymore. Won’t be coming back.

Nice very local dessert place. Even when there is no queue you might need to wait around 10minutes to get your dessert. It is worth a try, but for me was too dry and too sweet. You can also watch the whole story of the owners on Netflix series :)

Delicious and authentic putu piring. Would recommend coming all the way down and try especially their gula melaka filling.

Haig road putu piring has never failed me! Was told by the makcik that we had to wait 30mins for all the flavours (except original), and we were okay with that so we proceeded with our order. Our putu pirings were ready before 30mins and it was really hot, soft and moist! Also really aromatic too. Just like how i remembered having it the first time :")

Nice local pastry that has queue. Freshly made. Getting expensive pricing for flour and coconut and gula Melaka pastry. Still able to draw a nice crowd as it’s popular and freshly made. Overall worth a buy if in the vicinity

If you love Malay desserts or simply want a nostalgic treat, Haig Road Putu Piring is a must-try and easily one of the best in Singapore.

This is the stall that was featured in Street Food Asia on Netflix. I finally had the chance to taste the putu pirings here. The dough is made of a mix of rice flour + glutinous rice flour. The food is filled with palm sugar and then steamed in a machine. Finally, the food is served with a generous amount of grated coconut. It is an incredibly simple food but have the right balance of flour and amount of steaming determines the right firmness, fluffiness, and moisture. The best way to experience putu pirings is to eat them as they get off the steamer. But I am pleasantly surprised that the putu pirings still taste pretty good after an hour (I brought one home after eating one order there).

Craving putu piring today and went to this local stall inside of a food court. Such a pleasurable treat! Not too sweet and comes with very generous sprinkles of coconut. My advice: GET AT LEAST TWO BOXES

So I bookmarked this place when I was last in Singapore four months ago and completely forgot to stop by. Luckily, I had another chance on my current trip and am so happy I finally did. I've never tried Putu Piring before today and to be honest, wasn't even all that sure what to expect. They're flat discs of coconut filled with a concoction of palm sugar then steamed and served with banana leaf. They're soft, fluffy, slightly sweet and served warm. It was unlike anything I've eaten before and was super delicious served alongside grated coconut. They're made fresh on the spot so expect a small wait. Cost is so cheap, $2 for 5 (considered one serve). Totally worth giving a try and now one of my favorite places for cheap eats in Singapore.

I guess it alright. I bookmark this place when travel to Singapore. Get to tried out the food stand here. The dessert are ok but the portion is small. It super hot in this eateries with a lot of fans on the ceiling but it doesn't help to relief the heat at all. I was sitting eating the foods but sweat like I just got out of the stream room.

A hidden and lost ethnic pastry found within Mr Teh Tarik coffeeshop. This award-winning stall has and will definitely bring delight and childhood memories to many who have outlived the 60s to 80s. Manned by a group of muslim ladies dressed in white and adorned with gold jewelry, one can't help but to be amused by the apparent contrast in perceived value between gold and the simple and inexpensive pastry. Flour filled with gula melaka (sweet brown sugar) and accompanied with coconut shavings, this tasty treat is made on the spot and best served hot. Get ready to join in the queue!

I am not a grated coconut person, but this is totally awesome! The palm sugar is fragrant and just of the right sweetness. There is always a line at all hours of the day, but unless you are stuck behind someone who is buying 100 packets, the line usually moves quite fast. Everything is made upon order! You can't get anything fresher than that!

Worth every penny I spent. First time went to this chain and it totally blown my mind. Those makciks definitely know how to make their putu piring to perfection even to the last bite. It was served in a brown wrapper piping hot. The putu piring was fluffy with a hint of sweetness with its palm sugar that melt in your mouth and a good portion of fresh grated coconut for you to eat with. Definitely my kind of dessert. I had to have another serving cause one wasn't enough. It's that good.

It is a nice traditional dessert that seems less known by foreigners. Please come and try, you will feel it's simple and traditional way to treat foods.

A nice piece of food heritage! I've always being a fan of the "Chinese" tutu kueh but this brings me even greater satisfaction. The fluffy rice flour cake with a delicious gula melaka filing and sprinkled generously with fresh shredded coconut and pandan leaves - a taste of heaven and still very reasonably price!

Fantastic! Freshly made on the spot. Traditional taste you can trust. The skin is soft and the filling generous and explosive. These are the real deals not those you see in Pasar Malam. Price is also very reasonable for the size and number of pieces you get. Downside is it is not very near the train station but still walkable. Singaporeans walk anywhere for good food right?
