"Though there’s a higher concentration of Korean establishments in Allston, Haju Kitchen in Fenway is right in the heart of Boston and offers satisfying bites of Korean comfort food. It has all the classics covered: the soft and chewy tteokbokki that’s dressed in a mildly sweet and spicy sauce, the nourishing seafood soondubu soup, and the pork bulgogi served on a sizzling hot plate." - Nathan Tavares, Valerie Li Stack, Terrence Doyle

We came here for a quick lunch. Luckily we didn't came later since the store actually opened at 12:30PM. We were the first customers of the day so it makes sense that they were still getting everything cleaned and set-up. The food was so-so. We got the 3 and 4 of the lunch special which was cheaper, but the taste didn't taste any different than if I were to make it at home with little ingredients. The food was still edible, but I would expect more from a restaurant. However, the service was very good and the server asked us if we wanted more of the side dishes which was nice of her. I wouldn't recommend this place if you are looking for authentic korean dishes for a good price.

I've been to HAJU Kitchen in Boston several times and I keep returning for more! The food is consistently delicious. My favorites include the vegetable fried dumplings, Korean fried chicken, and the Jjol-Myeon cold noodles. The cold noodles were a new experience for me, and they were fantastic! The place is small but quiet, making it a nice spot to enjoy great Korean food and spend time and catch up with friends. The service is great, with friendly and welcoming servers. Plus, it's not overly expensive. HAJU Kitchen is definitely a must-try. Highly recommend!

Authentic Korean food but no kimbap. Overall good experience and good service. Waitress was patient and caring.

Google
The food is good, but don’t order take out. I don’t know about dine in, but the takeout portions are extremely small. The bulgogi was around $16, and the container was around 40% onions, and it wasn’t even filled up.

Google
maybe it’s what i ordered but i expected more out of the spicy mayo chicken rice bowl. it was fine, not inedible but for almost 20$ i expected a lot more chicken, and much higher quality food. I could have made that myself, and better, for 4$ per serving or so. The fries were god awful generic frozen fries, felt like they were reheated in a microwave.

Google
Food is delicious for the price, side dishes are okay but it’s still well appreciated since not a lot of Boston restaurants do that.

Staff was extremely welcoming and polite. Food was fresh and the sauces were very tasty. Very warm and cozy establishment.

Very yummy and big servings. Also loved the spice levels of the food. Their meal sets are a great choice.

Yelp
great food and fairly priced however, the stuff is not quite polite would come definitely again, but you do have to make something with your employees

Yelp
Tofu stew was good, and tofu was fresh: on par with other good Korean places. Kim Chee pancake was also good.

Salma S.

Yelp
This place was okay. The service is good - the food came quick and staff were friendly. The food itself was good but not exceptional. I wish they had a chicken entree that isn't spicy - I wanted a chicken dish that wasn't spicy but they only have the spicy chicken, and were unable to customize the dish for me to make it less spicy. I got the Bulgogi, which is beef, and it was fine. Overall, I had an okay experience - I wasn't blown away.

Yelp
The place next door had a line out the door so we came here. When we left about an hour and a half later, the line next door had grown to three times as long as it was when we went in. I'm guessing this place gets overflow of hungry concert-goers. We needed to eat before our 8 o'clock show. Hello, Haju! 1. No alcohol on the menu. Probably another reason there's no line. No problem. We drank diet coke and green tea, but a beer would have been just the thing. (This probably keeps the college kids away.) 2. The pork dumplings are deep fried. This could have been miscommunication but, hey, I'm game! But they were served with no sauce. And there were no sauces on the table. The server finally brought a single very tiny dish of plain soy sauce, even though there were two of us. I asked for hot sauce. (I didn't get it.) 3. The "pork" dumplings were heavily veggie/rice? Not a lot of meat and consequently not very flavorful. Where's the sauce? 4. The bibimbap, which came in a very hot stone bowl (yay!) which crisped the rice almost perfectly (double yay!), also came with ground beef. Ground beef, almost grey in color. It could be me, but I was shocked. I never expected ground meat, especially at the price point -- top of the menu, the highest priced entree. It was also missing kimchi and hot sauce. And it had only a few vegetables. It tasted okay, but, man, what a disappointment. 5. And long story short, I never got hot sauce until halfway through my entree, the hot stone bibimbap (~$16), which should come with gochujang and kimchi but didn't. I had to physically wave the server down multiple times like a flagger at Nascar. Her co-worker saw me waving (I had tried subtle half a dozen times) and I could see him telling her that a customer was waving her down but every time she went to a different table. Maybe it wasn't just me she didn't understand. When she finally came to our table, I had to ask and ask and ask for hot sauce. I've never had a server ignore/not know/forget -- I don't know what.... When I pointed to a red bottle, she finally brought it, but it was sweet. And so I had to flag her down again using the same ineffectual method. Why no condiments on the table? Ambiance is college cafeteria. Everything is a mess. Not even an attempt at decor. Do yourself a favor. There are about a million other eateries in the area.

Yelp
I had the Tofu Stew here and it was really good. I've had Korean tofu stew many times both in America and in South Korea and I would say this place is up there with the best I've had. It was very tasty and the kimchi was flavorful as well. I really recommend this place if you want some tasty Korean food in Boston as Korean restaurants are pretty limited around here. Just so you know, this is a little restaurant where you sit down and order at your table and they bring it out to you, just like they would in Korea, so don't expect to be waited on like you would at a western restaurant. 미국과 한국에 있는 다양한 식당에서 순두부찌개를 먹었는데 이 식당의 소고기 순두부찌개는 정말 맛있었어요. 추천해요~

Yelp
On a weekday lunch a coworker and I decided to try out Haju Kitchen, being one of the few Korean restaurants in the immediate area. Although the establishment was mostly full, I managed to snag the last table. I ordered for myself the seafood soft tofu stew. For the table I ordered the fried chicken w/spicy soy garlic sauce & scallion. The seafood tofu stew's broth was far too one-dimensional. It tasted only like basic stock and gochujaru. There were no aromatics, like garlic or additional anchovy stock. 2* Additionally, the establishment only served one banchan - fish cake. Not even basic kimchi or bean sprouts were served. 1* The fried chicken with spicy soy garlic sauce & scallion at least seemed passable. It wasn't spicy, but at least had decent amounts of scallion. 3* Overall, the experience seemed mediocre at best. I doubt I'll return.

Yelp
I've been here twice for dinner and sometimes it does get quite busy like the next door restaurants on the street. We had the Beef Soondubu, Pork Slices, and Naengmyeon. The foods were average overall, and side dishes seemed limited. This restaurant is located in an easy spot for students on Mass Ave.

Yelp
LOVE soy sauce chicken!!! Tastes so good. Bibimbap yummy too Our Korean friend took us here

Yelp
Delicious. I went with friends and we shared the Rosé Tteokbokki. The flavor was amazing and so soft rice cakes! The service was super quick (we were the only ones in there after all!) and friendly staff.

Francynne M.

Yelp
Pretty satisfactory spot for Korean comfort food! I came in on a Sunday night after spending all day at Tatte across the street. I ordered beef soondubu (medium spicy) which comes with rice and a little bit of banchan. Banchan selection was small but I asked for a side of kimchi and an egg to put in my soup and they brought it for me free of charge! The meat was beef chuck instead of the thinly sliced beef which is what I'm typically used to but it didn't really change the flavor of the soup. It wasn't the best I've had but it satisfied the cravings! If I'm ever in the Berklee area again I'll probably drop by to try the other stuff on their menu. They have a wide assortment of Korean dishes from fried chicken to tteokbokki to BBQ to all the differsoups Service was friendly and fast and the place wasn't that crowded despite it being dinner time on a weekend!

Yangsoo S.

Yelp
I actually stop going here after their management changed few years back. My friend worked here for summer and he invited me to have dinner with me so I was like, why not? It is a free meal. We ordered tteokbokki, fried chicken with soy garlic, bibim bap and french fries. Contrary to my disbelief about this place, the dishes here weren't bad at all. Next week or so, I decided to bring another friend of mine to try pout cheese donkatsu, as it is hard to find the place that serves this dish in Boston. They surprised me again, and this was the best dontkatsu I had so far in Boston. I recommend getting fried stuff here, that's where they are specialized in cooking I feel like. I tried different kinds of rice dishes was disappointed those so I do not recommend ordering those. Please try cheese dontkatsu here, it's really good. (But they only serve it during lunch time tho, I don't know why)

Elaine G.

Yelp
I really wanted to try Budae Jjigae (army stew) and I decided to try this place since they had a deal! I chose set 2 that included the buda jjigae (2 steam rice included), seafood pancake, a choice of sides (coleslaw, steamed rice, or french fries) and 2 sodas for around $30! Food: Banchan - There wasn't much banchans. I liked the fishcake more than the onions. Budae Jjigae (army stew) - It was okay. It felt like it was missing or lacking some toppings. But it was pretty filling in the end from the other items in the set. Seafood pancake - It was good and there was a good amount of toppings! Fries - They were super fresh and hot, so it was good. They forgot to give us our sodas, but thats fine! We were really full in the end and had to take leftovers home. Overall: It is a good place to go to if you are craving Korean food with good deals!

Yelp
With the lack of Korean places in Boston around Northeastern, I am so glad that I found this place on my two-dimensional navigation device. I ordered Kimchi fried rice(김치 볶음밥) and Small Fried Chicken Combo which consisted of 5 wings and 3 drums(huge portion for one probably good for two). The Soy Hot flavor was fantastic; if it tasted that great as a takeout order 10 minutes later, I can only imagine how impeccable it would be if I dined in and had it freshly fried. The Kimchi fried rice was better than most places I have tried at, amazing portions once again (saved for a later date :D). I perfect over hard egg on the platter of fried rice was absolutely sensational and was the perfect remedy to my hangover from Saturday night. This is now one of my favorite restaurants in Boston.

Yelp
I really wanted to find a decent Korean restaurant that is not in Allston, and Haju is conveniently on Mass Ave. Unfortunately the food didn't quite meet my expectations. Food I've tried: - CHEESE TTEOKBOKKI ($27): I can't quite describe the flavor, but I found that it was 2% lacking something and lackluster. The balance of the seasoning wasn't quite right in my opinion. The salt level was ok, but there was something off about the balance of spicyness and sweetness that just made it a subpar tteokbokki. I still did it eat as it wasn't terrible, but it wasn't a dish I would want to try again considering this dish. Portion wise it is meant to be shared with 2 people, but it is $27 which is high for tteokbokki and the flavor you are getting. This dish did come with 2 complementary sodas. - SOY HONEY GARLIC WINGS ($18): definitely there is more soy than honey in the seasoning, as the sweetness I would expect was not there. The meat was a bit on the drier side as well. Like the tteokbokki, the price $18 is high for what you are getting especially because the flavor is meh. Atmosphere: - Pretty crowded as I visited during peak hours. - The restaurant is not too large, but there is a medium number of seats. - Vibe is definitely a classic Korean bunsik restaurant vibe. Service: - The staff was friendly, service was pretty standard. Overall: - I wouldn't really go back considering I wasn't really satisfied with the flavors and the price is definitely high.

Yelp
I came here for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty decent! I had the bulgogi entree which consisted of sweet soy beef and a medley of vegetables. It came with a side of miso soup and a small bowl of steamed rice. The bulgogi was just okay- I thought the flavor fell flat here. The vegetables were fresh and I loved how varied the mix was!! The miso soup was very flavorful and enjoyable. :- ) Some places serve it really diluted and watery- I'm glad it wasn't the case here! Overall, an enjoyable experience but I'm not sure if I'd revisit.

Yelp
Food is okay, but the customer service is really bad. If you not tip enough, they will complain and ask for more tip. I gave them lower tip because one of the servants had attitude with my sister when she brought a water bottle inside. That waitress did not even allow my sis to put the bottle on the table.

Casey S.

Yelp
I only got Togo tteokbokki but it was really good and spicy! Staff were very friendly!

Vivian C.

Yelp
What was meant to be a quick snack took my friend 40 min to receive, and so to-go it was! It was room temperature and by no means crispy when we met up and I had the chance to sample it. My piece was dark meat and tender, though my friend's was white. It was Glazed Spicy, but the fried chicken pieces were not completely drenched (to my liking, since I am not a spicy eater) unlike at other Korean fried chicken places *cough* Bonchon. The heat wasn't overwhelming to me, so I helped myself to a second piece later on. Note: Since this review was drafted in April, the Yelp business profile for InBoston has been renamed Haju Kitchen.

Deborah C.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the past three or four or however many name and management changes, and while some iterations were very disappointing, I can't find fault with Haju. I've been here a few times for dinner here and there as a quick decision since there's never a wait, regardless of if I'm with one other person or as a group. The service has always been attentive and friendly and we never have to wait long for our food. When I came last night, our waitress noticed our side dishes were running low before I even did and refilled them, which I thought was really nice. The food itself is good enough for Haju being the only Korean place in this area so I can't really complain.

Dong H.

Yelp
If you are looking for Korean street food, this is the place to be. During the summer season, they even serve some summer specials such as cold noodle. We took the advantage of that by ordering Mul Naeng Myun & Bibim Naeng Myun. We also had stir fried squid. They were all excellent! I can't wait to go back there again. Next time I want to go back to try Budae Jjgae. I have not seen that in any other Korean restaurants.

Tim X.

Yelp
Pretty low end Korean food...Beef in japchae tasted like dog food. Seafood pancake was about one piece of seafood per two slices.

Yi H.

Yelp
Great place for a quick meal; service was fast and staff was very friendly. Stumbled upon this place on a rainy cold evening; I was craving something hot, spicy, and soupy. The soondubu definitely satisfied my cravings. I ordered the seafood soondubu ($11). I got the medium level of spicy. It was good, but was more spicy than I expected. Beware if you can't tolerate spicy foods. There's also a white broth option with no spice. The seafood was mostly small shrimp and calamari, but there was a lot of it. There's also plenty of tofu in the broth. I found the flavor of the soondubu to be pretty authentic though - would definitely recommend. It's served with a huge bowl of rice. Why I only give four stars: the portion is a bit small, and the calamari was a bit over cooked and tough. There also could have been more vegetables. We only got one complimentary side dish , a pickled radish dish, which was unusual since most Korean restaurants give out at least two or three dishes. It's a very casual setting; water was served in paper cups. The service was fantastic though. The servers were very attentive to our needs, and it was pretty empty on a Sunday evening. Everyone there was also very friendly and welcoming.

Chrystelle T.

Yelp
The food was decent for walking distance within the area if you're craving for something Korean. We got the Set 1 ($25.95) which comes with Tteokbokki and we chose the Small Chicken Bites Mild. Tteokbokki: 3/10 Barely anything besides just cheese and mushy dumplings... Chicken Bites: 10/10 Crispiest and yummiest chicken I've ever had, these were so good! If you get Mild, it's basically just Crispy Chicken with the addition of a 'mild' sauce that comes on the side. Overall, the food wasn't amazing but service was friendly! Place is small and there's usually no wait. Decent for a quick, convenient Korean meal if you're nearby

Wern O.

Yelp
TLDR: solid Korean college spot. Banchan is a little lacking. The dishes themselves were solid, but nothing incredible. We had the japchae and beef bibimbap. They were yummy but could use more meat. Overall it'll fill a Korean crave but not spectacular.

Matt L.

Yelp
Not bad! Walked in here like around 5 or so on a Saturday- I think most of the college crowd had vacated Boston at this point, so there weren't too many people around the area. Still, there were several people inside Haju, which led me to believe that it must be a decent place. I opted for a soondubu with pork, which came out pretty promptly, which also includes rice (obviously), and also some side dishes, which I didn't try since I was kind of in a hurry. I thought the dish was pretty good, and really didn't have any complaints with it. While there wasn't very much pork in the dish, the broth did have a pretty strong pork-y taste to it, which is a lot better than some other places, where I suspect they just use water or some sort of vegetable broth. The price came out to something like $12, which was reasonable, and fine- and like I said, I got my order really quickly. I would totally come back if I were in Boston again and in the neighborhood.

Helena Q.

Yelp
The banchan spicy pickles were super tasty -- crisp and just a little spicy. They also gave a banchan of tofu strips that were sweet. Pork soondubu, spicy (13$) was okay. I thought the tofu could have been silkier and the toppings more abundant. Fried chicken, classic 10 pc (14$) was extremely good. Maybe it could have been more flavorful, but the outsides were perfectly crisp while the insides were perfectly tender. Would definitely order again. It also came with some fries, which were merely okay. Overall, it's worth a visit if you're in the area, but not worth a special trip

Ron R.

Yelp
Came here with a friend and got Budae Jjigae (army stew) and bulgogi. The meal came with 3 bowls of rice which was a lot more than needed but nice to have. The meal only started with 2 panchan which was a little disappointing since I enjoy these at most korean restaurants. I would say the meal was solid but the jjgae didn't have a ton of stuff but was loaded with soup. Overall the meal was solid but nothing I would go out of my way for. It is a nice variety for the area but I think there are better Korean restaurants in Boston.

Brian X.

Yelp
I came here with my sister on Tuesday night for dinner. The place was fairly busy, though we were able to get seated without a wait. My friend had advised me against getting the fried chicken bites, so instead my sister and I ordered the soondubu (tofu soup) along with a seafood pancake as an appetizer. Before getting our orders, we were given complimentary appetizers (fish cake and a pickled vegetable). The fish cake was really good, and we got free refills! Then, we got the seafood pancake; it was a ton of food and also tasted very good. It actually contained seafood such as octopus and squid which was nice. Finally, we got our tofu soup. I thought it was pretty well flavored; the medium spice level was definitely spicier than I had imagined though! The beef in my tofu soup was a bit chewy, so it would have been nice if it was a bit more tender. Other than that though, I thought that all of the food was pretty good. Overall, I had a pretty good experience and would not be against coming again.

Victoria G.

Yelp
We walked almost a mile to the restaurant as we were craving for K Korean food. That is after we checked on Yelp which said it was open all the way til 9:30 or 10pm whatever. But then when we walked in the staff told us. They were closed. Just as they were sitting down for lunch. Not even a word of apology. And the window had a bright neon OPEN sign lit.

Zoe J.

Yelp
Came here after walking around the city and it was SO cold! We were greeted and sat immediately after walking in. We ordered quickly and our food arrived quickly too. We came in for a VERY late lunch and decided on bibimbap! It came in a sizzling stone skillet with an egg on it. Our server gave us fish cake, water and plenty of hot sauce. I would come back if I were in the area!

EJ K.

Yelp
I have been to this restaurant since it was InBoston. I know the management completely changed and now under a new name Haju Kitchen. In a nutshell, it was mindblowing! They have both typical and rather unusual menus all of which I tried were amazing. Talking to the owner they come up their own secret sauce or even secret batter for their chicken.. no wonder it was most crispy chicken Ive ever had whether it is korean fried chicken or the rice with chicken. I also love the fact that they constantly update their menu and also bring something new from Korea. I heard their popular rice with crispy chicken (it's soo good with mayo sauce on top) is something popular in Korea now. I recently left Boston but I think I can highly recommend this place to my friends who crave any authentic homemade or hip korean street food :) Im definitely coming back here when I visit!

Roger K.

Yelp
My go-to place for Korean food around Boston! Have tried a variety of dishes here such as tteokbokki, budaejigae, and their fried chicken, and they have all been outstanding. My favorite, which I would recommend, is their jjolmyeon, which are cold spicy noodles with vegetables and an egg. Service has always been good, and they still offer takeout during the pandemic, which is nice.

Alexandra M.

Yelp
I'm confused as to why this is listed as Mexican--there's one taco on the menu, maybe that's why? My friends loved the chicken--at least the korean style one. Their tteokbokki was enjoyed by all, including those who had never had it before, so that was great and exciting for me, because I love introducing the main part of my diet while I was in Korea to people. I also had the tofu soup, which was good, but nothing special. I'd get it again, as it was the only vegetarian/pediatrician option on the menu other than pajon. And pajon is a lot to eat by yourself. Service was a bit slow, but great with the check and splitting it.

Robo T.

Yelp
Spicy chicken was ok. I wish it had stronger gochujang flavor and was less watery. Its still good though. Pork dumplings were ok... didnt seem house made. What I had was just ok and didnt feel like much effort. Take out was served by a dude with major bedhead wearing sweatpants stained with dry housepaint. Maybe I have low standards but when in the area Ill be back to try more stuff.

Lisa S.

Yelp
My husband and I ate here on March 24, 2019. We were seated at the back near the kitchen. It wasn't until after we finished and the server brought our bill that I looked down and saw this dead mouse on the floor under our table. A very dried up long-dead mouse. How long has it been there? And, this is a clear indication that the dining area hasn't been cleaned since... ? Haju Kitchen has an "A" inspection rating dated from August 2018. I called the Boston Dept. Of Health and reported the restaurant, and sent them photos.

Adelin L.

Yelp
Was in town for a convention and my friend and I wanted to get some lunch before leaving town. I had stopped at Pho Basil the other day and noticed that there was a Korean restaurant almost right next to it and it was a pretty quick walk from the hotel so we decided to try it out. Luckily we get reimbursed for our meals from our company cause the food was pretty pricey. We ordered the seafood pancake ($12.95) and sweet soy beef ($13.95). I thought that the beef would be like bulgogi and it kinda was but it was a bit too salty (unlike its name...) The seafood pancake wasn't terrible but I think it could have been crisper and the insides less soft. The girl who served us was nice but for whatever reason she couldn't split our bills into separate checks so instead she just split the payment which is fine except for the fact that she put all the tax onto my check so I had to "pay" more. But like I mentioned we will get reimbursed by the company but I hate how it looks like I spent more than I actually did. Also I was kinda surprised that she was Chinese (I am too) since I'm used to actual Korean people working in a Korean restaurant so maybe they're Chinese owned? If that is true that would explain why there was no banchan included which was something else I was surprised by considering every single Korean restaurant (besides this one) offers some sort of banchan no matter if its a ton or just one kind. Also they didn't have many options on their menu either. Some fried chicken, soondubu jigaes, meats like the beef i had, tukkbokki, budaejigae, pancakes and that was about it. TLDR; the food is a bit pricey considering the quality. Would not go back if craving Korean food.

Bea T.

Yelp
I'm a incredibly disappointed of the new name from In Boston to Farandole... I don't get it. Here's what's changed they are now serving Chicken in paper containers that can't hold its weight because the sauce seeps to the bottom of the paper plate unless you ordering the Dok Bok Gee which they actually put on a plastic plate. I really don't understand why have they have to go to extreme changes. First of all, I hate the new name and I don't like the fact that we don't get two free sides with the actual chicken. The restaurant has gotten more expensive which I understand that that has to do with rent prices going up but we also noticed the quality and the service has gone down which is a great disappointment. It is a shame because you got to go back to basics. Think back of when the restaurant first came out and what made me come in and what made me think I had a really good deal for $10.

Quynh Nhu D.

Yelp
First off: they are the only fricken delivery people in all of Boston that read my "special instruction" to go to my actual door. Good job! Ordered from grubhub, had no idea what's the different between A vs B type chicken? So whatever just ordered the one that had the spicy! Spicier than bonchon I swear! Every 3 bite require a dump truck of water and radish to quell the fire! Love it love it. Love the pickled radish, got 2 because I'm pickled obsessed. So glad. It taste great with my other meals the next few days. The potato salad was ok, never got to eat it all because I put it in the fridge and it totally disappear... I guess my roommate really liked it... The fries is... ok. I don't like that type of starchy texture. I'm more of a peel my potato with some skin on it and lemme dip it in vinegar kind of person... So these does not work with vinegar! Too sad! Maybe it will work with ketchup for normal people. Had a good delivery experience, will definitely dine in eventually; but for now I have a go to place for chicken... because Bonchon's delivery and maximum is too expensive and its just as good as Bonchon.

Richard H.

Yelp
Agree with other reviewers that they may have changed management. Staff was very friendly and accommodating, but the food came up a bit short from my last visit and was so-so overall. I would recommend following other Yelpers advice to continue on to Allston, but Farandole is just fine if you're in the area. We ordered the farandole classic wings - small size, crispy style. Small was fine for two people, but the wings did not have any flavor. It was almost as if the frying had extracted all of the chicken flavor. The crispiness was light and fluffy - perfect in execution - but they just lacked taste - perhaps this was our fault for not ordering spicy, but we figured crispy would at least taste like something. I had to dip them in an adjacent pork dish. In addition to wings, we ordered the spicy pork dish. This was the at the other extreme. Jalapeños (disclosed in the menu) added a significant, initially choking, kick, but gave the sweet and spicy flavor a boost. The pork pieces were small, and the dish seemed expensive for what you get. Spicy pork dish was so-so, but I don't think I would order it again given the size and the quality of the pork. Farandole will do if you're in the area and craving Korean immediately, but go for the glazed chicken and try different dishes (even soups) to mix things up.

Yelp
First of all they have changed their sign name to InBoston, but their menu still says Farandole. It's the only Korean restaurant around the block, and I was craving Korean food. Came here for dinner with a few friends around 7ish and was able to get a table right away. We ordered budae stew (with seafood pancake), tteokbokki, and soy wings (with fries). The food had a good spice to it, but not too overwhelming. The seafood pancake was a little soggy and didn't taste all that great. The budae and tteokbokki were good and if you're in the area and craving Korean food, it's worth checking out.

Yelp
We got there around 1:45p for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Got seated pretty quick(within a few minutes). Ordered a kimchi fried rice $10.95 and a seafood soft tofu stew $11.95. I didn't realize it was that long of a wait since we were busy talking anyway ...it was until a waiter came, noticed we didn't have food on our table and asked us what we ordered. He apologized a few times and asked us what we want to drink...he said drinks on the house. We got 2 green tea on them. Food were pretty good(I think there's some cheese on the kimchi rice? Not that we mind). All in all... food good, services was attentive.

Yelp
Bibimbap has ground hamburger beef (barely any) instead of bulgogi. No bon chon except fish cakes and a mushed up deviled egg. And ZERO Kim Chi at the restaurant. Eaten at dozens of Korean restaurants across the country and this is the worst. Lastly, look up at the gross dusty light fixtures about your head. Never been cleaned.

Yelp
I'M SO SAD THEY CHANGED MANAGEMENT. I used to come here all the time since it was closeby and had decent Korean food (alternative to Kaju Tofu House and BonChon). The place used to be really lively and packed with people. The workers were really friendly and attentive and the food was fairly priced and tasty. However, a lot has changed since they've changed management. A lot of the previous employees are no longer there. They use plastic utensils and paper plates. The food is no longer as good as it used to be. The restaurant is usually pretty empty. Most of all, I'm pretty sure they've changed their name..? So so so sad that this place has changed for the worse. Will no longer be going here.

Yelp
It wasn't bad.. wasn't great... average for a quick fix of korean food. There was a lacking of panchan (side dishes) compared to regular Korean restuarants. There was only 2 and it was the pickled mexican pear and spicy fish cake. The portion of the dishes were also low. We had a total of 2 people and it only took us around 2 bites of each dish for it to be empty. This place use to be better but after a few restaurant name changes and shuffles of management, the quality definitely fell which is unfortunate because it's in a great location. Food: 2.5 Service: 4 Ambience: 2 Overall: 3

Yelp
I used to try eating here every Saturday for their tteobokki but a couple months ago they revamped the place a little and changed their menu. The food quality and portions have gone down. I don't think I'll be coming back again. For first timers, I guess you'll like it cause you won't be comparing it to how it was before. I just noticed they changed thier name from InBoston to Farandole????

Yelp
After exploring the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA), my friends and I were searching for an affordable and tasty restaurant within a short walk. They were craving modern Korean cuisine. At 'Inboston', we were immediately seated around 1 p.m. this Sunday. Then, the restaurant filled up rapidly with customers. We like we could adjust the level of spiciness of our dishes. We shared family style: - $12.95 Chicken Bulldack served on a bed of white rice. The size portion of protein was generous. The grilled chicken sautéed in a sweet and spicy sauce was standard. - $10.95 Seafood Soondubu served with white rice: a lot of shrimps, clams, etc. in the mildly spicy soft tofu soup. - $11.95 Twelve classic crispy Korean bites came with French fries: the bites were extra-crispy. Nevertheless, the chicken meat in each bite was sparse. - $16.95 Budae jjingae was spicy and average. It came with two servings of steam white rice. The decor of the dining area was simple. Four TV screens showed various programs: sport, home improvement, the 'foodnetwork' channel, etc. No outside seating area was available. Neither Wi-Fi nor loyalty card were available on-site. The bathroom were clean.

Yelp
That was really good. I wanted something different so got the spicy pork with rice entree to go. The guy asked me if I wanted some chicken which I thought he was going to give me a taste while I waited but he packed up about 8 pieces of fried chicken which I discovered when I got home. I think he was the only one working on a quiet Sun afternoon. The food was packed super well and the pork was spicy as advertised and chicken nice and crisp. I never went when it was In Boston but other than a few stringy pieces of pork, no complaints.

Yelp
3.5 stars! Checked this place out around 630 on a REALLY busy Thursday. This place was packed! I think we just came during the rush though cause it cleared out by 7, 7:15. They had a steady flow of customers though while we were eating. **NOTE: They don't seat you until your whole party is there! We were rushing a little because we had a BSO show to get to at 8, but unfortunately they wouldn't seat me or let me order until my brother was there. This place isn't that big, so they pack their tables pretty close together, which can get a little crowded when you have your backpacks/bags/jackets with you. I'd say 3 stars for the food, 4 stars for the SERVICE! Ordered the tteokbokki and double fried wings/drumstick combo (soy garlic) -Tteokbokki was really good! It comes with rice cakes, glass noodles, fish cake, eggs, and dumplings! I was surprised with the fried dumplings cause I've never had that in my tteokbokki before, but it was an interesting addition. Good flavor and sticky consistency with the cheese. YUM! I would've liked ramen instead of the glass noodles though -I was slightly underwhelmed with the fried chicken. They were too salty for my liking, and you could REALLY taste the soy sauce. Some of the "wing" pieces were super small and dry, kinda overcooked! and not very consistent. I'd probably pass on this or try a different flavor maybe? It'd also be nice to have a little dump bucket on the side. I still like Bon Chon's chicken better because of the juiciness and crispiness. -All sides are $1.95 but one was included in our small combo chicken. You gotta get the pickled radishes and coleslaw! So refreshing and goes great with the chicken. I love that combo 4 stars go to the service! Everyone is SUPER FRIENDLY & NICE! From the moment you walk in, throughout your meal, and as you leave. They checked up on our food and asked how we liked it and were so polite the whole time. Thank you!!

Yelp
I think the Korean food here is pretty decent. We had cold noodle which is perfect for summer. Overall, the menu is pretty basic and doesn't have many varieties, but it's sufficient. Would recommend for a quick bite between a couple of friends
