I visited this restaurant on December 24th, 2023. Although I had to wait over 2 hours in the queue, the food was absolutely amazing and definitely worth the wait. Thankfully, they have an online queue system with notifications, so I didn’t have to wait at the restaurant itself. Instead, I was able to shop nearby while I waited, which made the experience much more convenient. The staff were very welcoming and provided great service throughout. I highly recommend this place!

Hot restaurant serves fantastic Mentai/ sashimi/ eel rice meal. Great selection, delicious taste, generous portion and free soup refill. Price reasonable, friendly services, be cautious as there may be a queue to wait

I was really surprised by how good it was! Since the place looks quite modern, I didn't expect it to taste this delicious. Both the egg and the mentaiko were amazing, and I didn't have to wait long. I even walked over to grab a coffee, and by the time I got back, my food was ready. Highly recommended!

Pretty busy although queue is not overly long coming for late lunch, came around 1:20 PM and was seated 1:40PM on weekday. Got the signature mentaiko, ikura egg bowl with mentaiko baguette on the side. While the mentaiko bowl looks very pretty the flavour is not very mind blowing, doesn't seem to be any additional sauce in the bowl and rice but the mentaiko made up for it in terms of flavour and saltiness.

I orderee the boiled fish of the day and enjoyed it so much, 9/10. The unagi is super fresh and the mentaiko French bread is a must order. Come during lunch to get discount in menu prices.

Totally worth it. This was the first whole meal we had after we landed in Fukuoka for the first time. And boy was it worth it! The quality of the meal was unlike any other seafood restaurant we had back home in Australia. The best selling mentaiko bowl was flavoursome, the short grain sushi rice was cooked to perfection, and the ultimate seafood bowl (with 4 types of sushi, uni, shrimp, and mentaiko) was otherworldly. Truly a superb lunch meal. We will definitely be back for more next time. Highly recommended!

We’ve waited outside for 50 mins with (feels like) -2c. The foods are really good and fresh, they have refill side dishes. Mentaiko here is very and fresh. Worth waiting for.

Really nice place to try the region speciality, mentaiko. It is on the pricier side but portions are fairly decent for what you pay. Very filling. We had the mentaiko on top of an omelette and rice, unagi set and the seasonal mackerel sashimi. The sashimi was super delicious and the unagi was pretty tasty as well. The only downside would be the wait system. You have to physically go to the restaurant to get a ticket (or scan the QR code on the physical ticket to be redirected to a website to see when to go in). And the wait time is a little all over the place. We were expected to wait 118 min before we could get a place but ended up only waiting 30 mins. But this could be a little difficult to plan, if you decide to go somewhere far while waiting. Luckily we were nearby and made it back in time. Need to be able to return to the restaurant within 15 mins of them calling you back or they will cancel your seat.
